After his coronation as lord, he was now constantly secretly guarded by elder level Qi Practitioners, even in his reunion with his old friend. His status as the lord of Jade Dragon Keep and the【Monster God Ming King Art】had now made his safety a paramount concern for these ancient monster Qi Practitioners.

“Senior martial brother, I will definitely kill Shi Buyi in the future to avenge my dearest teacher?” asked Yu Xuanji.

Zhong Yue smiled and replied, “Shi Buyi cannot tolerate you and the same applies to me. If you want to kill him, I will definitely lend you my assistance. By the way, I have some of Shi Buyi’s notes regarding the【Monster God Ming King Art】here, I hope that these notes would help your cultivation.”

His psyche moved and he passed the notes to Yu Xuanji through a mental transmission into his mind. Then Zhong Yue said again, “In the end, Shi Buyi had hidden away a huge amount of knowledge in the art when he taught me. And the Ming King divine eye totem carvings are missing so if you want to cultivate this art, you will have to find a higher level divine eye totem carving to replace it.”

Yu Xuanji was very grateful and he said, “I owe you once again and I will repay you at any cost in the future!”

Zhong Yue then stayed at Jade Dragon Keep for a few days before he departed to the Eastern Sea after being sent off by Yu Xuanji and the other people of Jade Dragon keep. When Zhong Yue departed and looked back, he saw Yu Xuanji standing among the many Qi Practitioners of Jade Dragon Keep at the harbour, only seeing them leave to return after Zhong Yue and the others had disappeared from their sights. Upon seeing that, Zhong Yue couldn't help but feel a wave of emotion stir within him.

“Is junior martial brother envious of him?” asked a smiling Chi Liannu.

Zhong Yue shook his head and replied, “It may be good to inherit such a strong power at such a young age but he also carries the heavy hopes of the Jade Dragon Keep on his shoulders. He’s no longer free to do as he would’ve done before all of this – for this, I do not envy him.”

Chi Liannu however, showed an envious expression and she said, “I would definitely be incredibly happy if I had such authority. I would simply forget about everything and enjoy myself to the fullest.”

Zhong Yue sighed and thought to himself, The headmasters of Swords Gate are just like Yu Xuanji. They seem to occupy lofty and privileged positions when looking from the outside but what goes unnoticed by many is the huge responsibility of guarding the future of humanity that comes with that authority. There isn’t much opportunity for happiness for people like them.

The Eastern Sea was incredibly vast and on the sea, there were many mountains and islands. The region a few thousand miles around the land belonged to the monsters. The Sulphur Island and Jin Xiu Island was located in the South and the North respectively.

Even though the two islands were severely weakened from the death of their spirits in the Beast God Ridge, their power was not to be underestimated due to the presence of the two magnate Qi Practitioners – Yan Yunsheng and Xiu Tianchen.

  Hu——-

Suddenly, rogue waves were formed as a pitch black “island” emerged from the sea and when Zhong Yue looked at the “island”, it became larger and larger and then, a head emerged from the sea. It was a gigantic sea serpent!

The girls had a shock and suddenly, “islands” continued to emerge one after another. When they had fully emerged, a hydra of a hundred feet appeared!

This hydra had eighteen eyes and when they all looked at Zhong Yue and the others, flapping noises could be heard as the gills of the hydra extended out and started flapping quickly as if it wanted to ascend to the air from the sea.

Chi Liannu’s face changed and she shouted in shock, “What a strong sea race! It is on the level of Inner Core!”

  Pu——-

A huge spear flew out from the sea and pierced one of the hydra’s heads, causing blood to spill everywhere and the hydra to roar in pain. As it roared, it stirred up huge tidal waves in the originally calm sea that shot towards all directions.

Before Zhong Yue and the others realized, huge sea creatures continued to emerge from the sea. An eight-legged sea creature the size of a mountain with suckers all over its legs charged out from the sea. A huge mountain-sized fish flew out from the sea level each time it opened its mouth, it would spit out powerful spells!

Then, huge sea creatures rushed out from the sea, riding on the tidal waves and disturbing the peace on the ocean while a gigantic crab swung its claws, crushing everything that came into contact with it.

There was also a huge white furred sea ape charged out out the sea while it swung a huge club.

In just an instant, hundreds of sea creatures emerged from the sea, casting powerful spells, swinging huge soul weapons and fought together, dying the sea red with their blood and suffusing the salty ocean scent with an additional metallic odor.

  Huala——-

After a loud noise, a huge ship a few hundred meters long charged out from the sea. That ship was luxuriously decorated – golden in color and embellished with pearls, jades, diamonds and gold nuggets. On the golden ship, a girl wearing dragon armor with dragon horns on her head stood there while sea monsters on the ship unsheathed their soul weapons before jumping into the seawater and fighting with the other sea creatures, causing the situation to spiral into greater chaos.

Then, the girl looked towards Zhong Yue and the others who were near the border of the battlefield and her gaze brushed through everyone before landing on Zhong Yue. After focusing her gaze on him for some time, she ordered a servant by her side to do something.

The servant then approached them and shouted, “The sea races are rebelling and General Ao Xiu is here to eliminate these rebels. That junior martial brother over there, please get on board to prevent yourself from getting dragged into the battle.”

  Ao Xiu?

Chi Liannu’s heart thumped and she measured the girl from afar as she said, “It really is her! She is a strong Qi Practitioner of the Ao Clan of the dragon race and she occupies a high position in her race. Her strength seems to be no any weaker than mine as well….”

Then, the golden ship started moving and it crushed everything in its way including the huge sea creatures with its immense weight. It soon arrived in front of Zhong Yue and the others.

Zhong Yue then led the girls to board while he thanked, “Thank you, General Ao Xiu. My name is Long Yue.”

“Long Yue? You are the Long Yue?”

Ao Xiu stood up and measured Zhong Yue as she said with shock, “I’ve heard from Brother Feng Lou that you are a disciple of the Xiang Dragon Clan and you had single-handedly built up your own power in the East Barren. You even became the disciple of Shi Buyi and because of what you have done, the elders of my clan were extremely fond of you.”

Zhong Yue felt relieved and he thought, Seems like Ao Fenglou did not reveal my real identity to them.

Ao Xiu invited Zhong Yue and the other girls to their own seats and she smirked and said to Chi Liannu, “Chi Lian, why are you here in the Eastern Sea? I know that you are very famous and the second disciple of Shi Buyi but that does not mean that you are fit enough to mess with us in the Eastern Sea!”

Chi Liannu replied with a giggle, “I am here with my dear junior martial brother, not to cause any troubles. Is this how General Ao Xiu treats her guests?”

Ao Xiu smirked and replied, “It’s best if you don't cause any trouble or you will not walk out of the Eastern Sea alive. Junior Martial Brother Long Yue, after I have dealt the rebels, I will take you to the dragon palace. Many of the elders are keen to make your acquaintance.”

Zhong Yue coughed and he asked as he looked towards the battlefield, “General Xiu, why are these sea races rebelling?”

Ao Xiu shook her head and said, “This is just a small rebel group as compared to the rebels in the deep sea. God knows where did these sea races got news of the Wood Yao Starry forming in the Wood Celestial Star and wanting to descend onto th
e Eastern Sea after becoming the Kun Peng God. These sea races were convinced and they are planning to construct a portal so that the God of Kun Peng could descend and overthrow the dragons from the Eastern Sea. Fortunately, we discovered it quickly and foiled their plans or something bad was bound to happen!”

  “Kun Peng?”

Zhong Yue was stunned and he shouted, “There are living beings in the Wood Celestial Star?”

“The Wood Celestial Star has no land at all and everything is covered in water. The descendants of the Kun Peng races are still living in the star. There were also remains of the ancient celestial palaces but the gods and demons were unable to be born without a proper celestial palace, preventing them from flying out of the Wood Celestial Star.”

The percussive thumping of war drums could be heard from the golden ship nonstop as the rebels were slaughtered one by one as Ao Xiu took a careful look around the battlefield with a relieved heart and said, “The elders made an assumption that instead of a spirit that was going to evolve into the God of Kun Peng, it was the descendants of the Kun Peng that dug out a celestial palace’s ancient remains that unleashed an ancient God of Kun Peng’s spirit.”

“Other than Wood Celestial Star, there is also the Fire Celestial Star, Gold Celestial Star and Water Celestial Star that has traces of gods residing in them once and these gods left behind their own progeny during their lifetime. As years passed, we currently have no idea if the descendants of these gods are still there but about a year ago, our dragon race discovered some abnormal movements on the moon. A light pierced straight through the sun and the moon. It was probably the doing of these godly spirits that are still present in these stars.”

Zhong Yue looked up into the sky and thought, Is she talking about me? I once teleported to the sun from the moon in order to obtain the sun spirit.

Chi Liannu nodded and said, “I’ve heard about it as well. The planet we live in now is also a star called the Ancestral Star. They said that during the Flame Order Era, the first Heavenly Emperor started his legacy here and each and every Heavenly Emperor will return to worship and pray to their ancestors. Then, during the Fuxi era, the Heavenly Emperor Fu Xi was born on this planet and he named this planet as the Ancestral Star. But for some reason, this star’s prosperity has declined.”

Chapter 215: Eastern Sea Rebellion |

  Ancestral Star? Flame Order?

Zhong Yue was shocked as he had never thought that the planet they lived on would have such a storied history!

So how has the Ancestral Star declined to such an extent? What happened throughout all these years? Not only that, how did the Fuxi Celestial Race that was a behemoth back then degenerate to become the lowest class human now?

Zhong Yue had a thousand questions in his heart but it was obvious that Chi Liannu and Ao Xiu were incapable of answering them as even Xin Huo who had been around for such a long time was oblivious to the answers to these questions as well.

Then, he thought to himself again, If this is the Ancestral Star, then many things could be easily explained, the Celestial Emperor who built his Celestial Empire in the West Barren must have discovered that there are many secrets hidden here. Thus, he built his empire here on this planet. But he left long ago, could it be that he left because he was unable to uncover the secrets hidden here?

“Other than that, the Heavenly Emperor came back here to bury himself when he sensed that we were going to die,” said Ao Xiu as she threw out this shocking news.

Zhong Yue then quickly asked Xin Huo, “Xin Huo, could it be that the huge graveyard under the Great Wilderness, East Barren and West Barren belongs to this Heavenly Emperor?”

Xin Huo shook his head and replied, “At your current level, you are definitely unable to discover someone like the Heavenly Emperor and as compared to the standards of a Heavenly Emperor, the graveyard under the Great Wilderness is more in line with the standards of a Celestial Emperor.”

  “A Celestial Emperor’s graveyard?”

Zhong Yue was stunned and he murmured, “The one that once ruled the entire West Barren is also a Celestial Emperor, could it be that instead of leaving this planet, this Celestial Emperor had buried himself here instead?”

Xin Huo shook his head and said, “This I have no idea. If he died and buried all those demons and gods die alongside him, then there may be a possibility that he left behind his treasures and descendants here. After all, there are still so many celestial races in the West Barren. And also, what the girl said was right, there are many things left unexplored in the Ancestral Star and the many Celestial Stars!”

The sea races rebellion was quickly suppressed and the rebels were all captured and beheaded by the soldiers under Ao Xiu’s command.

These sea race rebel were all incredibly huge and when they were beheaded, their voluminous blood dyed the sea red and their bodies that were the size of a mountain floated atop the sea, attracting thousands of sharks to swarm their corpses to feast on.

The scene of these sharks swimming around and devouring the corpse was extremely macabre, making the girls slightly frightened and repulsed; even someone like Zhong Yue felt the urge to look away from this grotesque spectacle.

Ao Xiu however, was used to it and she signaled her servants to summon her soldiers back as she said with a laugh, “Now, Junior Martial Brother Long Yue, follow me back to the saint city of our Ao Clan.”

Zhong Yue nodded and the golden ship started sinking into the water. When Zhong Yue looked around, he saw that the entire ship was enclosed in a huge bubble.

The golden ship sailed deeper into the darkness that engulfed them. Suddenly in the dark, light could be seen ahead of them and when Zhong Yue looked towards that direction, he saw a huge tower standing firmly in the deep sea. On top of the tower was a bright pearl that shimmered with a dazzling radiance.

Along, there were towers standing in the deep sea at fixed intervals that were engraved with totem carvings all over them and emitted a bright light that also lit up the surrounding darkness.

As they sailed deeper, Zhong Yue realized that in this deep sea, they actually had comprehensive and sophisticated traffic routes that led towards every part of the deep sea!

On their way to the saint city, there were also other huge ships that sailed quickly into the sea as well. Some of them just sailed in the water while some other were enclosed in huge bubbles like they were.

But there were more sea race Qi Practitioners that traveled by themselves as they did not possess any movement soul weapons like ships and boats. They seemed to occupy a lower position in the sea.

Obviously, after many years of managing and ruling over the deep sea, the dragon races had managed to build a well-developed civilization that was no worse than the those on the land!

Zhong Yue also saw towns and tribes of the sea races with many soldiers located along the roads in the deep sea as they stood sentry to guard the safety of the deep sea.

After half a day, the golden ship arrived at a huge city in the underwater depths with its prisoners. The city was incredibly huge, grand and luxurious. It was built atop the mountains in the water, lending it an image of strength and majesty.

As the ship sailed closer, the city became even bigger and majestic in their visions. It was enclosed in an incredibly huge bubble while terrific powers and auras could be felt coming from this city.

  The Eastern Sea’s Dragon Palace!

This Dragon Palace belonged to the palace of the Ao Clan and the other huge clans like the Jiao, Yu, Li and Po Clan also had something similar in their palace as well.

Judging from this, it was obvious that the power of the dragon races were leagues above the races that occupied the East Barren and Great Wilderness!

Zhong Yue thought to himself, The power of the dragon race is incredibly terrifying. This race can actually compete with the celestial races in the West Barren or even some other stronger races! If they manage to regain territory on land
, then the Great Wilderness and East Barren will be no match for them. But I think that the dragon race is very wary of the celestial races as well. Besides, the dragon race’s control over the entire Eastern Sea seems to be slightly unstable as they are troubled by rebels everywhere and the huge clans of the dragon race seem to have their own agendas.

The golden ship then docked at the platform located right at the front of this underwater dragon palace and Ao Xiu got down the ship as she said to her servant, “Bring Junior Martial Brother Long Yue around and notify Senior Martial Brother Fenglou.”

The servant nodded and when Zhong Yue and the others looked around to measure this legendary dragon palace, they saw that the army of the dragons were beheading the rebels on top of the city walls.

As the humongous heads fell down from city walls and their blood splashed about before being immediately absorbed by the dragon totem carvings on the city walls.

Ao Xiu looked around and said, “Seems like the dragons’ forces are doing well in suppressing the rebels. I wonder if they’ve managed to suppress all the rebels? Junior Martial Brother Long, pardon me as I have to report back to the higher-ups and am unable to accompany you to meet Senior Martial Brother Fenglou.”

Zhong Yue nodded and replied, “Please, do not worry about it, senior martial sister.”

Ao Xiu then walked away quickly and the servant quickly said, “Master, please follow me.”

Zhong Yue then led the girls and followed behind the servant but Chi Liannu suddenly said, “Your senior martial sister will be going to look for a handsome partner, we will part ways here, Junior Martial Brother Yue.”

The girl then quickly disappeared from their sights and the servant immediately shook her head as she said, “Looking for trouble.”

Zhong Yue laughed and asked, “Why is that so, senior martial sister?”

The servant then replied quickly, “They said that Chi Liannu is a snake and her race could be said to be related the sea serpent race. The sea serpent race is a lowly race in the Eastern Sea and this Chi Liannu would definitely be treated as an inferior being. Thus, even a dragon race servant would ignore her existence, not to mention marrying a male dragon. The Jiao Dragon males are naturally very affectionate but they would definitely not put the sea serpents in their eyes and even if she did manage to find one, she would probably be ignored or even made to be a slave.”
