  Shi Buyi groaned deeply. He mustered all of his strength, but before he could even get any closer to the Shen Jiu godly spirit; another wave of black smoke rendered him powerless on the ground again.

  On the other hand, the ocean water started boiling in just seconds and it took another few moments for it to be completely vaporized. Zhong Yue could be seen raising a mountainous Luminant Sun Gold at the bottom of the dried ocean. Then, Zhong Yue hurled it toward the godly ape.

  Sure enough, the godly ape was able to catch the Luminant Sun Gold, but was also pushed back incessantly.

  “Burn!” Zhong Yue yelled deeply, the sunfire inside of the Luminant Sun Gold burst out and incinerated the godly ape into ashes!

  Meanwhile, The Fei Lian godly spirit has already slashed on Zhong Yue for more than a dozen times, but the young man endured it all with the Immortal Body. However, he still couldn’t have free himself from the Gou She godly spirit.

  “You are strong, but I can be stronger!” Zhong Yue yelled, and proceeded in garotting the Gou She godly spirit with his Fuxi snake tail.

  “Mang-gu!!” Zhong Yue turned around and faced squarely with the Gou She godly spirit, the Star Toad emerged behind him and roared loudly.

  The appalling soundwave numbed Gou She godly spirit, causing him to release Zhong Yue involuntarily, while he quickly tried to hide into the earth.

  “Mang-gu— Mang-gu—” the Star Toad True Spirit roared continuously and shattered the godly spirit back into the altar.

  After Zhong Yue took care of the Gou She godly spirit, he turned and cast his sabers to kill the Fei Lian godly spirit. Then, dashing over to the Shen Jiu godly spirit and beheading the godly spirit before he could react. Right in the next second, he dashed toward the Gou She altar, and the Star Toad shattered the newborn godly spirit in its loud roars!

  The Star Toad was left crouching on the altar, roaring incessantly, shattering the Gou She godly spirit away every time after he was revived.

  “Zhong Yue, you scum… Ah!” A hand replete with strength lifted the Gou She godly spirit up in the air, Zhong Yue sneered coldly and said, “Didn’t you ask where the other godly spirits were kept? Don’t worry, you will be with them now!”

  Then, Zhong Yue tucked the Gou She godly spirit into his Yuan Shen secret realms.

  Faraway from the gory battlefield, clouds darkened and thunder started rumbling as five altars flew over from the South Barren and crashed inside of the Divine Battlefield.

  In the middle of the five altars, the shabby Eight Dragons Heaven Suppression Cauldron shrouded with godly rays were worshipped by the Zhong Li experts. Clan Master Xia and Zhurong Yanqin fixated their eyes on Zhong Yue, smiled and said, “Zhong Yue, if it weren’t for High Priest Feng notifying us, we wouldn’t know you are here at all! Although I can really leave this for the West Barren celestial race, the Zhong Li Celestial Race was also once a West Barren celestial race. So, I guess you will still have to get past us as well!”

  Chapter 589: Prayers From The Ancient Forebears |

  On the five Zhong Li Celestial Race’s altars, other than the Eight Dragons Heaven Suppression Cauldron, there were still two Martial Divine Masters’ bodies along with two Zhu Rong Clan’s godly spirit.

  After the prayers, the Martial Divine Masters’ bodies and the Zhu Rong Clan’s godly spirit started to wake up and the power of the Eight Dragons Heaven Suppression Cauldron started to increase!

  Meanwhile, Zhong Yue had already captured six godly spirits, with one Gui Shen godly spirit suppressed in his psyche ocean. The three divine weapons were also retrieved by him and kept in the bronze lamp.

  Other than that, the Innate Golden Crow True Spirit was guarding the Lei Bird’s godly spirit altar, killing the godly spirit every time after he revived, creating eleven empty altars in the Divine Battlefield!

  However, eleven was just a tiny number compared to the total number of the altars in the battlefield!

  There were still thousands of altars emitting terrifying celestial rays and on the atlars were either godly spirits, godly corpses or divine weapons!

  Now, he suffered heavy injuries and Shi Buyi was also injured badly, making it almost impossible for them to walk out alive. However, it was already amazing enough that he had achieved such a result.

  If he hadn’t trained in the Lighting Tribulations and obtained the forty nine Dao Flowers, he could only at most fight with a godly spirit. But now, he could even win against four godly spirits at once when he was still in the True Spirit peak level; this was something that no one had achieved in fifty thousand years!

  But all of these were just to test Zhong Yue, to test his strength and how far he could go.

  It was impossible for that many gods to attack him at once; once gotten into conflict, Zhong Yue could only be attacked from ten directions in total, thus, making only ten gods able to attack him at the same time.

  However, with an array, a total of hundred and eight godly spirits could attack him at once. But once there were more than hundred and eight, then the array would not be able to operate smoothly.

  And if it were a dimensional array, more than hundred and eight godly spirits could attack at once, which is very scary as they could twist the dimension so that they could fit more of them at once. But then again, there was another problem stopping them from doing this; these godly spirits were not gods after all, causing a mass decrease in their strength and preventing them from twisting the dimension.

  Of course, these godly spirits had no prior experience in teaming up together so they would definitely do this. Thus, the most dangerous situation would be ten godly spirits attacking at once continuously.

  And those who were killed would be revived on the altars and join the battle again, forming an endless cycle that trapped Zhong Yue and placed him in an endless fight until he was dead!

  What was worse was that the five Zhong Li Celestial Race’s altars that brought along the Eight Dragons Heaven Suppression Cauldron, which obviously cut off Zhong Yue’s every chance of survival!

  Even after Eight Dragons Heaven Suppression Cauldron were severely damaged by the Bi Xie Celestial Emperor, it was still a Deity Lord level divine weapon and it was the strongest item right now on the field!

  Once activated, the power released by the weapon would be more than enough to destroy Zhong Yue in one hit!

  And the most important part was Zhong Yue had no idea how much power the Zhong Li Celestial Race could draw out from the Eight Dragons Heaven Suppression Cauldron.

  “High Priest Feng, Feng Wuji?”

  Zhong Yue took a deep breath; Feng Wuji tasted defeat against Zhong Yue and as someone who was best at winning a battle through the help of the other races out there, Feng Wuji must have found out about the battle of Zhong Yue and the West Barren’s godly spirits. He must have plotted something by persuading the Zhong Li Celestial Race to come forth.

  What a coward. The Eight Dragons Heaven Suppression Cauldron may have caused a great deal of trouble to me, but that doesn’t mean that I am not capable of fighting anymore!

  With an earnest expression, Zhong Yue unsheathed the Solar Divine Saber and swung it once, attaching the mountain-sized Luminant Sun Gold into the saber.

  Then the saber shrunk, along with the Luminant Sun Gold condensing the saber, increased its mass until Zhong Yue started to feel that it was too heavy to yield the saber with one hand.

  I guess I have to use my full strength now? Murmured Zhong Yue.

  He didn’t truly merge the Luminant Sun Gold into the saber as it could only increase the power of the saber at the cost of decreasing its quality, which was not worth it.

  He only wanted to increase the saber’s power with the energy of the Luminant Sun Gold and he would detach it from the saber later on.

  Zhong Yue then took out another pearl as bright as the moon, attached
it to the hilt of the saber. Unlike other pearls, this was a pearl forged from the moon core by the innate moon god.

  The Metamagnet Divine Saber was forged from the Metamagnet Divine Ray of the Sun which bore no heat but some kind of magnetic force. With the addition of the moon core, it’s power was amplified significantly.

  Zhong Yue then sheathed the two sabers back onto his back, wrapped up the Gui Shen’s godly spirit with the Sui Tree, sent him into the bronze lamp to be suppressed while his Innate Golden Crow True Spirit grabbed onto the Lei Bird Godly Spirit and hurled him into the bronze lamp.

  As soon as the Sui Tree landed on the ground, it’s roots enlarged to the size of mountains and rooted all over the Divine Battlefield.

  The tree grew larger and taller up into the skies and in no time, the tree top reached all the way to the thunder level in the air and stopped right at the edge of the Pure Yang lightning zone.

  The height of the tree was already two million feet tall now, Zhong Yue could've made the tree grow taller into the Pure Yang lightning zone but the lightning there would have threatened his safety by then.

  At this moment, silence overwhelmed the surroundings, the godly spirits on the altars didn’t even move an inch as they waited for Zhong Yue to get prepared.

  The wind stopped blowing and the clouds stopped moving.

  Zhong Yue stood under the tree before he ascended into the air and he shouted when he got to the top of the tree, “Lion, get up here!”

  Shi Buyi’s face became serious as he also understood the gravity of this battle. If Zhong Yue lost, he would be killed, and only by fighting with all he got only will they survive!

  However, judging from Zhong Yue’s actions, Shi Buyi could tell that Zhong Yue was relying on the the Sui Tree to fend off the enemies’ attacks!

  Can this tree really hold them off? Shi Buyi worriedly thought.

  Deep in the Divine Battlefield, the celestial rays shrouded the godly spirits’ face and bodies and suddenly, a voice shouted with in a very deep tone, “Zhong Yue, are you ready to get on the road?”

  Zhong Yue stood up straight, put up a serious look and visualized the【Sui Sovereign Flame Order Palace Visualization Art】and he gave off a feeling like he was the sole ruler of this world, the almighty king of all living things.

  “Come,” Zhong Yue said with a soft and terrifyingly calm voice that echoed throughout the battlefield.

  Divine rays then surged towards him and when looked at from afar, these rays looked just like colourful giant waves that charged toward the Sui Tree with unstoppable power!

  As the rays crushed toward them, the Sui Sovereign shook, and leaves fell and branches trembled. But the tree remained firm with powerful roots supporting them.

  And the godly spirits with different looks swung their weird looking divine weapons as they charged towards Zhong Yue!

  At the same time, Shi Buyi’s face was incredibly pale; he gripped his Eight Extreme Malefic Weapons and started to think about fleeing from the scene. He, however, calmed himself down after he glanced at Zhong Yue, only to realized that Zhong Yue remained as calm as usual and Shi Buyi praised, There was a reason why he managed to triumph over me. I am not even close in terms of our courage as compared to him.

  Meanwhile, Zhong Yue was never calmer than now, his【Sui Sovereign Flame Order Palace Visualization Art】 was never as perfect as this; he had yet to perfect this art taught to him by Xin Huo up until now but right now, he suddenly entered a tranquil state which allowed him to visualized this art with the utmost clarity.

  Suddenly, Zhong Yue heard faint prayers from nowhere which sounded like the calls of the ancient ones; it felt like the noises of their singing, celebrating and praying traveled all the way to him from millions of years ago right into his mind.

  “Xin Huo, what are these noises?” Zhong Yue asked as he listened intently.

  “You hear them?”

  Xin Huo replied with shock, “You actually heard the prayers of the ancient forebears from Fire Order Era! This was the chants from the ancient livings to all of the Sui Sovereigns back in the Fire Order Era, it’s called the Sui Sovereign Blessing. Only those who have perfectly mastered the【Sui Sovereign Flame Order Palace Visualization Art】 can hear these prayers!”

  As they talked, the godly spirits lunged towards Zhong Yue from all directions with vicious momentum.

  Zhong Yue, however, smiled and murmured, “Yes… I heard their callings….”

  In his mind, the prayers of the ancient ones suddenly merged and echoed loudly.

  “The great age of Fire Order, where stars blinked brightly in the sky!”

  “The great days of Fire Order, where fire sparks and enlightened law and order!”

  “The great epoch of Fire Order, where justice and fairness repletes the universe!”

  “The great years of Fire Order, where light lead us through darkness!”

  “The great era of Fire Order, where we embraced the greatest Sui Sovereigns!”

  ……

  As the prayers continued, the Tai Chi Art appeared around Zhong Yue with his body as the centre which symbolized the dragon markings, splitting the Yin and Yang apart. When Zhong Yue moved, the Tai Chi Art moved as well.

  The godly ape spirit of the Jinshui Raging Ape Celestial Race was the first one that engaged Zhong Yue; this ape’s golden cudgel was snatched away by Zhong Yue, and now, he had returned for vengeance.

  As an ape, he maneuvered quickly and became the first one that reached Zhong Ye.

  In just a moment, this ape landed on Zhong Yue, raised his claws and grabbed towards Zhong Yue’s head!

  Zhong Yue reached his hand to the back, quickly unsheathed his saber, swung it, and in the blink of an eye, decapitated the ape’s head. The ape quickly ran away after he picked up his head, and suddenly, blazing sun fire suddenly shrouded him, leaving him shrieking under the burning fire.

  At the same time, a godly spirit charged towards Zhong Yue from below; the godly spirit turned into an erupting volcano that trapped Zhong Yue in it, attempting to melt him down with goldy fire.

  Zhong Yue’s Tai Chi Art immediately rotated, slicing the volcano part while Zhong Yue visualized the eight arms, wielding his Solar Divine Saber and Metamagnet Divine Saber as he attacked the godly spirits.

  In just an instant, he had cut down two godly spirits, whose bodies crumbled and disintegrated into godly light that flew back to their altars.

  The light wheels then appeared behind Zhong Yue, they circled around a bronze lamp floating at the centre and suddenly, tremendous pulling force surged out and sucked the light right godly into the lamp!

  Zhong Yue then turned into his Fu Xi True Form and slithered all over the Sui Tree as he clashed with the godly spirits.

  Suddenly, the Golden Crow True Spirit flew and spat out raging sun fire that lit up the Sui Tree, engulfing it in sun fire. When looked at from afar, the tree looked just like a burning sun.

  Chapter 590: The Lost Saber |

  Great Wilderness, Swords Gate, Golden Summit.

  The Four Ken Beast was looking around, and suddenly it exclaimed in shock. A sun had fallen off from the sky above the West Barren but stopped and hovered in mid-air.

  “What?” Four Ken Beast was shocked, it quickly notified Shui Zian, “Grand elder, a sun has descended upon the West Barren, but it never touched the ground. It is really strange, it’s the first time I’ve seen such an abnormal scene!”

  Shui Zian was puzzled as well. He had lived for a long time and witnessed many bizarre events, but a sun hovering above the ground was unheard of.

  “Looks like something big is happening in the West Barren.” Shui Zian said, “We need to know what it is. Have the West Keep’s Qi Practitioners keep a lookout and report back to Swords Gate as soon as possible.”

  Meanwhile, in the Divine Battlefield, the Sui Tree inside of the sun grew taller, supporting the scorching sun. Inside of the sun were many strong and powerful godly spiri
ts that surrounded Zhong Yue.

  Zhong Yue was continually dodging attacks while the Golden Crow True Spirit fluttered on top of his head, fending off the attacks coming from above.

  He reached a Sui leaf and fought with the godly spirits on it while the Golden Crow True Spirit was combating another bird celestial above him.

  Below, a godly spirit slammed his hands on the Sui leaf in an attempt to attack from below, but the Sui Tree shone brightly to render the attack ineffective.

  “What tree is this? How amazing!” The godly spirit praised.

  On the leaf, Zhong Yue managed to take down over ten godly spirits, but his mortal body was crawled with wounds as well.

  He was casting the【Sui Sovereign Flame Order Palace Visualization Art】, and along with the Sui Tree and Golden Crow, his prowess was greatly boosted.

  Whereas the faint chant of ancient forebears of the Fire Order Era has even further strengthened the Sui Sovereign he has visualized, making him even more powerful.

  The sun that was formed was also a strong array formation, anyone who entered the sun and climbed the Sui Tree would be constantly burning with sunfire, impairing their prowess.

  However, the godly spirits were far too many, and they wouldn’t stop their barrage of attacks, inflicting Zhong Yue with even more wounds.

  Zhong Yue mustered his strength and injured another godly corpse, but before he could keep the godly corpse in the copper lamp, a godly spirit riding a skeletal beast had lunged over.

  The skeletal beast was a beast god that was left with only his bones; however, his power was evident enough from the immense godly aura remaining in them.

  And although the godly spirit that mounted the beast god was only three inches tall, he had four heads and eight arms, striking his punches out while standing on the beast god’s forehead.
