  What was even more astonishing was that these flower buds come in pairs.

  There were 98 flowers with a total of 196 flower buds, yet none of which were blooming.

  From far, there were streams of goldy totem patterns curling around the flower buds, these totem patterns were glimmering in golden rays and thus, illuminating the flower buds with a pure golden color.

  However, when they drew closer, they realized that it was not only the golden lights, but the flower buds themselves that were already golden in color. They seemed to be completely devoid of any impurities within.

  As the spiritual energy was literally blowing right into their faces, it was even stronger and thicker than that of the Bi An Palace!

  Yet, there were many strong forces all over the place stopping them from getting any closer.

  “This is a forbidden area with restricted access only, you are prohibited from entering.” Granny Shan said frigidly, “Please leave now, or I will show no mercy.”

  Qiu Jin’er pleaded, “Granny, can you please consider it? We are Senior Martial Brother Bi and Senior Martial Brother An’s guests, why don’t you ask them first? If they allow it, we will go in and cultivate for a few days, but if they don’t, we will leave.”

  Granny Shan looked at her little cute face and before reluctantly replaying her request to her masters. Moments later, she said, “Masters have agreed for you to stay, but you only have ten days. After ten days, you will have to leave.”

  Qiu Jin’er was overjoyed and quickly thanked her.

  Granny Shan’s wrinkled face grew older as she raised her hand and lifted off the seals for Zhong Yue and the others to enter, “No need to thank me, I am just following my orders. If the masters didn’t allow it, then I will not hesitate to kill each and every one of you right here if you dare to take any step further into the forbidden area.”

  Meanwhile, in the Bi An Palace.

  Bi and An was kneeling on the ground facing a godly statue with three burning incense sticks in front of them. The statue had no face, but its domineering aura seemed to replete the hall.

  The hall was silent except for the sounds of the burning incense sticks, then suddenly, the goldy statue shuddered as if there was a great force descending down from the void onto the statue.

  Bi and An bowed their heads and they said, “We are sorry to trouble you, father. But we have recently met with a distant cousin, the blood that flows in him is similar to ours, that’s why we came looking for father.”

  “Distant cousin?” The godly statue asked, its voice trembled the space around, “Where is he? Show me!”

  At that point in time, Zhong Yue has just walked into the midst of the golden flower buds, and suddenly, his heart tensed up, his muscles bulged out, his scalp tingled and his blood turned cold. He felt a pair of eyes staring at him, stronger than anything he had ever felt. He quickly turned back but saw nothing, but his heart still thumped in terror.

  In the hall, the godly statue then said, “He is indeed your distant cousin, but he is…”

  Chapter 627: Neither A Friend Nor A Stranger |

  The godly statue’s tone turned solemn, “He is a half-Fuxi!”

  “Fuxi?” Bi and An were shocked, they mumbled curiously, “Haven’t the Fuxi been completely annihilated?”

  “No, there are still some remnants in the Zi Wei Galaxy. Furthermore, there is word of the appearance of a pureblood Fuxi young lady. She is already a Deity Overlord and stirred many underlying conflicts between the strong and ancient factions. It was rumored that the hidden force of the Fuxi Celestial Race are…”

  The godly statue suddenly stopped, “It is still too far from you now. You will be qualified to know about it only after you have finished your cultivation of a hundred lives. The more you know, the more terror there will be. For now, treat your distant cousin well as how it should be, there is no need to trouble me here.”

  An asked respectfully, “May I ask, father, how should we treat him?”

  Bi said, “The Fuxi has far too many enemies, if we get too close…”

  The godly statue answered placidly, “Neither close nor distant, neither remote nor intimate, neither a friend nor a stranger.”

  Bi and An were dumbfounded while the power in the godly statue slowly disappeared.

  “Not too distant, not too close, not a friend, not a stranger.” Bi said, “Not too remote, because we are distant relatives, it is natural for us to keep in contact and treat him well; Not too intimate, because the Fuxi has waned and if we get too close to them, we will be in trouble as well.”

  An continued, “Not a friend, that is to tell the world that we are not too related to them; Not a stranger, is also to tell the world that no matter what, we are still related to them.”

  The two of them nodded, “The older the ginger, the spicier it gets; with father’s experience and guidance, we now know how we should get along with this distant cousin of ours.”

  Meanwhile, around the golden flower buds.

  The spiritual energy was abundant and the Dao was so strong in here; Zhong Yue and the others all found a place and started cultivating.

  Jun Sixie chose a spot full with the water-style Dao, Qiu Jin’er chose a place with the wood-style Dao, Shi Buyi found a place with the monster race’s Dao, while Old Man Six Paths rooted himself at the center of the spiritual energy. He also took out the huge carrot Husan Weng and placed it on the side.

  Bai Canghai moved around, but he couldn’t find any place that was suitable for his Curse Spirit Body. After some time searching, he eventually settled down on a place that he felt most comfortable with.

  These 196 flower buds are extraordinary, it seems like they are nurturing something in them. Zhong Yue was also looking for a place for himself while Xin Huo glanced around with through his divine eyes. However, the totem patterns around the golden flowers were emperor-leveled totem patterns, it was hard for Zhong Yue’s current divine eye to see through them.

  “Brat Yue, this Bi and An are from great heritage. Even the Prison Realm can’t nurture figures like them. These golden flowers are the source to the strong spiritual energy and the Dao in here. I wonder what the golden flowers are…”

  Xin Huo was looking around, he suddenly smiled and said, “Brat Yue, stop here. This is the place for the 99th Amaryllis, also the best spot for you to cultivate.”

  Zhong Yue asked puzzlingly, “99th Amaryllis? There are only 98 of them here, where comes the 99th?”

  “Not yet, but soon.” Rays flashed across Xin Huo’s eyes as he conjectured, “These Amaryllis may seemed to be spewed all over randomly, but it is actually an array formation. You see that flower? That is the first Amaryllis, then following by the second Amaryllis right there.”

  The array formation was nearly imperceptible, but when looked attentively enough, Zhong Yue realized that the flowers were actually providing energy to one another, the first Amaryllis was pumping energy into the second Amaryllis!

  “Then the third!” Xin Huo continued.

  Zhong Yue looked over, and surely enough, the third Amaryllis was supported by the second Amaryllis which was supported by the first Amaryllis.

  Then the fourth, the fifth, the sixth…

  All the way until the 98th Amaryllis which was collectively provided energy by the previous 97 Amaryllis.

  Which means, there are 97 array formations here with 97 layers of energy each with greater power from the preceding Amaryllis.

  “According to the pattern now, the 99th Amaryllis will be right here! This is the core of the next energy center! You will benefit more than the other places in here!” Xin Huo said.

  Zhong Yue sat down and emulated the totem patterns of the array formation as he tried to link himself like the 99th Amaryllis to the array formations. Immediately as the link was established, a strong wave of energy overfilled his Yuan Shen secret realms, and inflated his body like a balloon!

  Not only that, but an
endless stream of complex insights on the Dao of cultivations also rushed into his mind.

  What a pure energy!

  Zhong Yue was shocked and overjoyed, he quickly absorbed the energy and strengthened his power; there was even the power of the Six Paths in this place!

  The Dao in the Ancestral Star was impaired and many important insights were impossible to be attained. However in the Prison Realm, the Six Paths Reincarnations was complete and the Dao was flawless, allowing him to amend the flaws in his cultivation from the Ancestral Star!

  The power of the Six Paths would bring even greater benefits.

  There were faint chants that resounded in his Dao Yi Realm, that was the worships from the living beings to the Six Paths Reincarnations. All kinds of marvelous insights regarding the Six Paths rushed into his mind, turning into his own knowledge.

  More importantly, the Six Paths Fruit was also coming into play. The Six Paths Fruit consisted of the power of the Six Paths that was absorbed during the destruction of the Six Paths Reincarnations, and fruited a hundred thousand years later.

  There was a strict restriction in consuming the Six Paths Fruit as its effects could only be attained through gaining insights of the Six Paths; one might consume it and still be unable to have any significant insights during the duration of the fruit’s effect.

  The first time Zhong Yue was only able to attain the insights from the Six Paths Fruit was all thanks to the afterimage of Reincarnation Saint Monarch under the Mother Tree. However, that was only a once in a lifetime opportunity and couldn’t be replicated in anyway.

  Even though this wasn’t truly an opportunity like the one before, it could still grant Zhong Yue with a great deal of benefits.

  Zhong Yue sat in the lotus position while the 196 flower buds pumped their spiritual energy and their respective Daos into his body and mind.

  Every totem patterns he ever learned emerged around him, some were grand and strong while others were weak and primitive. Yet, all of them were collapsing and breaking apart as he started attaining the Dao that rushed into his mind.

  The totem patterns were the manifestation of various subjects, even the most primitive ones contained the Dao of the heaven and earth; while when one is visualizing the totem patterns, he is also indirectly manifesting the power of Dao.

  Thus, as the Ancestral Star’s Dao was impaired, the totem patterns the Ancestral Star Qi Practitioners could learn and visualize were also inherently impaired; leading to the reduction of power for everything that was based upon the totem patterns, such as the arts, skills, and array formations, the soul weapons and even the divine weapons.

  This was why to those like Zhong Yue, who were initially from the first Six Paths World, would see a sudden leap in power if they were able to repair the flaws in their totem patterns!

  The process, however, varied greatly accordingly to one’s cultivation base, knowledge and their arts and skills. Among them all, Zhong Yue was the one that would require the longest duration to complete the process as his insights were much more replete than everyone else’s. Thus, it would take a longer time for him to amend and reform the totem patterns.

  Zhong Yue inhaled a deep breath of air, and the solid and broken lines swarmed out and reformed into countless unknown symbols around him as he started the complex simulations of the totem patterns.

  Meanwhile, another head grew out from Zhong Yue’s neck, the three divine eyes opened and helped alleviate part of the stress.

  But as more of the lines and symbols emerge to run the calculations, the two heads were insufficient to support anymore and he grew out another head.

  Half a day later, Zhong Yue still hadn’t moved an inch from the ground, but there were already sixteen heads with long necks growing on his body. His heads were reading the symbols around him and running the calculations.

  At the same time, the symbols even emerged in his Yuan Shen secret realms as he slowly strengthened them.

  There were even more Yang and Yin lines in his Dao Yi Realm, their changes were much more vigorous and complex. After all, his main focus was still to attain the Innate True Soul with the help of the Six Paths Fruit and this perfect cultivation location.

  Two days later, there were even more the Yang and Yin lines,more symbols, and also more heads. Billions of symbols flitted around his figure like fireflies — it was truly a stunning scene.

  On the Bi An Precipice, Bi and An were looking from far in shock.

  “This cousin of ours seemed to be very strong.” Bi said, “These symbols, even we don’t have such a strong art.”

  “I wonder how much can he reap out of this ten days?” An said curiously.

  “Maybe not even ten days. They are at our birth and death place, there are far too many abstrusities for them to attain there. At this rate he is going now, he will eventually reach his limit before the ten days arrive.” Bi said, “Most probably, he will last for another three days at most.”

  Chapter 628: Innate True Soul |

  After three days, Zhong Yue was still in his frenzied cultivation; however, his calculation speed had slowed considerably. Bi and An was right, he had absorbed too many abstrusities, and he was reaching his limit now.

  His brain couldn’t contain so much undigested knowledge, and his soul wasn’t able to to accomodate all of the abstrusities attained.

  After all, he was still at the True Spirit level, even the Sun Moon Twin Spirits couldn’t contain the knowledge anymore.

  “He will not last till the day ends.” Bi and An agreed.

  At the center of the golden flowers, the Yang and Yin lines around him grew lesser in number, while his heads also returned to his body.

  As the calculation slowed down, fewer heads were required to alleviate the stress.

  All of a sudden, the Six Paths Fruit in his Dao Yi Realm was fully consumed, and the knowledge in the Six Paths Reincarnations contained within the fruit were wholly turned into his knowledge.

  Rays glimmered in his eyes, after cultivating for so long and attaining various insights, he was finally ready to cultivate the Innate True Soul!

  Soon after, the symbols around him faded away, and the Yang and Yin lines disappeared—his ruminations had stopped.

  “See, he has reached his limit.” Bi and An nodded and said in unison, “But nonetheless, it is still a stunning achievement for a young cultivator like him. At such an age, he is able to withstand the billowing energy of our past 98 lives while also attaining the abstrusities in it…”

  While they were busy praising Zhong Yue was, the latter’s ara burst right through the firmament. The spiritual energy in the heaven and earth surged violently and rammed right down into his body.

  Krong—

  The Yang and Yin lines burst out from his body, forming into countless marvelous symbols that waltzed around him. Heads grew out from his body as he started a new round of rumination.

  Bi and An watched on with their mouths agape at the sudden change of situation.

  With Zhong Yue’s current cultivation, it was impossible for him to contain anymore insights. However, his cultivation base was seeing an evident increase, meaning that his capacity for comprehension was continually increasing.

  “Has he broken into the Imminent Deity level? No, no, his prowess is still in the True Spirit level, but why can he continue?” Bi asked curiously.

  An was also curious as well, “He must have broken through something, given that he is still at the same cultivation level, it can only be the extreme state—the awakening of the Innate True Spirit. However, by the looks of it, it doesn’t seem like he has achieved that. Could there be another extreme state in the True Spirit level we don’t know of?”

  But they never could have fathomed that Zhong Yue had cultivated the unprecedented Innate True Soul!

  The benefits of cultivating the Innate True Soul were even greater than awakening the Innate True Spirit, thus allowing him to continue comprehending the abstrusities.

  The Innate
True Soul was truly strong, it is far beyond the level of the Innate Golden Crow True Spirit or Innate Star Toad True Spirit!

  Zhong Yue couldn’t help but praise. Unlike many other cultivators, his soul was the dominant part in his atman, thus his Innate True Soul was stronger than both his other two spirits combined together.

  The innate totem patterns in his Innate True Soul was stronger and more durable; if he had morph into the Fuxi True Form now, his prowess would be boosted at least five times than what he was before, granting him the power to contend even with the elites of the other higher realms!

  However, he wouldn’t simply cast the Fuxi True Form due to the underlying dangers that would come after; but even so, his prowess would still be raised by at least 50 percent!

  As his cultivation base was increasing rapidly, he was able to proceed further with the calculations and attaining more insights.

  His arcane energy, psyche, and totem patterns were all reshaped for the better; one could say that this was a process of rebirth to him!

  Another three days flashed by, and Zhong Yue could feel his Innate True Soul reaching its limit, and thus, he decisively stopped his cultivation.

  If I break through into the Imminent Deity level now, I will be able to attain more of the insights and abstrusities, and my cultivation will see a new round of improvements as well. However, it is better that I wait a little longer until I’ve cultivated the extreme states in the True Spirit level. Zhong Yue thought.

  There were two extreme states on the True Spirit level, one was the awakening of the Innate True Spirit and the other was the Chaotic Origin True Spirit. Only by awakening the Innate True Spirit could one unleash the full potential of the spirits.

  However, only the innate spirit bodies had the Innate True Spirits and could awaken them; other than that, the other spirits cultivated were merely manifestations of the true spirits. Unless the cultivator reverted the manifested spirit into its innate state like Zhong Yue did, it was impossible for them to cultivate one of the two True Spirit state of extremities.
