  This skeleton had eight heads, each facing a different direction. Behind its back were four pairs of massive bone wings that were in the pose of preparing the take off.

  In the hands of the skeleton were various innate divine weapons, each emanating a fearful might that shook even Imperial Emperors like themselves.

  The eight innate divine weapons in his eight arms were different from each other but were all forged from condensed heaven and earth Dao. These weapons were the Azure Dragon Jian 1 of the East Barren, Vermillion Bird Dang 2 of the South Barren, White Tiger Sword of West Barren, Black Tortoise Shield of North Barren, Lightning King Hammer of the Zhen Barren, the Li Fire Basket of Li Barren, the Ken Mountain Great Seal of the Ken Barren, the Light Water Bottle of Kan Barren.

  The four Imperial Emperors took in a long and nervous breath; this skeleton here was the Deity King of Eight Barrens in the Dark Age!

  Each of his heads, arms, wings, and weapons all represented a barren and all together, they formed eight barrens!

  However, such innate gods were no more!

  The innate gods that represented the eight barrens now were usually birthed from worship and were usually innate gods or innate demon gods; if they were birthed from the worships of celestial races, then they were innate gods and vice versa. They were no longer able to unify the celestial and demon power and the eight barrens!

  Even the four Imperial Emperors had never heard of any innate gods that were born inherently with the eight barrens from the heaven and earth. Maybe there were some hidden from plain sight, or maybe there really weren’t any anymore.

  Hence, the only one that unified the eight barrens they had ever seen was this skeleton before them.

  However, the Eight Barrens Deity King was already dead; a hole was opened up in his eight heads as an unknown powerful being erased his life and spirit!

  “What kind of existence killed him?” the four Imperial Emperors were terrified.

  Far away, Zhong Yue was already very close to the altar and he slowly approached Eight Barren Deity King ‘s skeleton. Just like an ant, he struggled to climb onto the Dao skeleton.

  “The little brat Yi is trying to collect Eight Barren Deity King ‘s skeleton and weapon!”

  The four Imperial Emperors were swallowed by greed, which caused them to immediately rush toward Eight Barren Deity King’s skeleton.

  Eight Barren Deity King’s skeleton was extremely huge like mountains, and when the four Imperial Emperors arrived, they each cast avatars only to be slammed back into their original form after their avatars were crushed.

  The heaven and earth Dao here was completely chaotic and the avatar was a technique used to enhance one’s power through the law of heaven and earth and its Dao.

  If they cast an avatar, their size would be increased to a point where they were not smaller than the Eight Barrens Deity King’ Dao skeleton.

  However, without being unable to perform Avatar, all they had left was to climb with their own bodies. And although as Imperial Emperors, their bodies were incredibly powerful, they were still tremendously tiny before the Eight Barrens Deity King’s skeleton.

  Long Zhi revealed her true form, a creature with nine heads, nine tails with a dragon body, “Forth” was one with a human face and bird’s body, “Fifth” was a celestial being with a human face and leopard tattoo and “Second” was one with a human face and tiger body.

  The four Imperial Emperors climbed quickly and soon caught up with Zhong Yue.

  Their speed were relatively different; “Fourth” had wings, hence he was the fastest, Long Zhi’s speed was also incredible as she moved quickly by leaping around. As compared to these two, the other lady Imperial Emperor and the “Second” were slower but they were still fast nonetheless.

  At this moment, Zhong Yue was already on Eight Barren Deity King’s rib cage and he was attempting to climb onto the arm. The arm was on top of the chest, and so after getting past the arm, he would be able to get close to the weapon in the arm.

  And the innate divine weapon in this arm was the Light Water Bottle that represented the Dao of Kan Barren!

  Running along this bone, something enormous soon cast a shadow over Zhong Yue’s figure! He quickly stopped and a celestial being with a bird’s body landed in front of him and started charging at him before he started spinning rapidly!

  Shua—

  As he spun quickly, the feathers on his wings sliced towards Zhong Yue like blades!

  With a humongous body like a mountain, tremendous speed, and immensely huge feathers, the scene was truly astonishing.

  “Chi Song! The Stone Sentinel Maze!”

  Zhong Yue shouted and Chi Song in his Yuan Shen secret realms immediately activated the Stone Sentinel Maze; as the countless gods activated the Stone Sentinel Maze, Zhong Yue turned and entered the core of Stone Sentinel Maze.

  With a simple thought, Zhong Yue was about to cast a technique. And that was when he groaned in pain; just as he was about to visualize a technique, the totem Dao shattered.

  Zheng zheng zheng—

  The blades like feathers sliced onto his body and with only three attacks, Zhong Yue was almost cut in half!

  He immediately backed off and with a spit, he spat out the inner core, which turned into the innate celestial and demonic force field. As soon as the blade like feathers cut right into the forcefield, they were immediately stopped and the celestial being was halted.

  Zhong Yue managed to get his breath for the moment; the three slicing attacks almost sliced him apart after almost severing his spines.

  Here, energy was not functional and this placed him at a great disadvantage; his greatest asset was his understandins toward the Dao. Through Stone Sentinel Maze, he was able to reach the peak of Creator and go toe to toe with Imperial Emperors.

  In the level of Creators, he was undefeatable and his understandings toward the Dao bestowed him with the power to face off with peak Imperial Emperors!

  However, without being able to cast anything, he was at a disadvantage as he could only fight with his body, inner core, Yuan Shen and other basics.

  Meanwhile, upon his feather attack being nullified, the bird body celestial being smirked as he attacked with his claws, “You little brat! Hand over the herbs now! You are Imperial Emperor Xian Tian’s servant and with our relationship with him, you are partially considered our servant. Resist anymore and you will be put down!”

  Zhong Yue summoned his inner core back and his legs turned into the Innate Golden Crow’s claws and clashed with the celestial being.

  The celestial being smirked again upon the strength from Zhong Yue’s claws that was equivalent to him but not as good as his in terms of handling.

  And that became a deadly weakness. Even Zhong Yue could forcefully enhance his strength to the Creator level through the gods and Stone Sentinel Maze’s power, it was after all, not his own power. Hence, upon using this power, he was not able to control it freely as he did with his own power.

  Just as the celestial being wanted to flip Zhong Yue up and throw him to the ground, Zhong Yue slammed his other claw towards the celestial being, forcing him to fly up but not before Zhon
g Yue launched another attack.

  “I’ll rip you apart and take the herbs myself!”

  The celestial being grinned and channeled power into his claws as he tried to rip Zhong Yue into shreds, “After taking the herbs myself, I will become a monarch, a Heavenly Monarch! With that, the others will not be able to keep up with me! Once I get my hands onto the eight innate eight barren weapons, I will be invincible. At that point, I will claim the throne for myself!”

  Wings grew out from Zhong Yue’s back and with a flap, he flew up and reached out his third leg to launch an attack towards the celestial being’s chest.

  Caught off guard, the celestial being was stunned as he only had two legs, both of which were preoccupied. This left him completely exposed to Zhong Yue’s attack!

  Zhong Yue’s claw stabbed right into his chest, pierced through the rib cage and headed straight to the heart!

  Ka cha ka cha—

  His bones broke and goosebumps were all over. He quickly flapped his wings and struck his feathers towards Zhong Yue.

  Hong long—

  The Desolate Lightning Heavenly Furnace emerged from Zhong Yue’s body, shrouding him completely and it was destroyed just like that. The feather blades continued to swing towards him and though the blades could not kill him due to his immortal body, they would still kill the gods in him.

  By that time, the Stone Sentinel Maze will be stopped and the gods would be killed!

  Besides, the Stone Sentinel Maze must not be stopped as Zhong Yue needed its power.

  “Innate Secular World!”

  Zhong Yue roared, had the Secular World stretched out and stopped the feather blades. The pressure borne by the Innate Secular World became even more intense and on the other side, the celestial being protected his heart with his Secular World so as to stop Zhong Yue.

  With a flip, the innate divine sabers appeared in Zhong Yue’s hands. Zhong Yue swung the sabers towards the celestial being and they were fended off by the celestial being’s own weapons.

  Zheng zheng zheng—

  Zhong Yue swung his sabers and in the blink of an eye, he had hurled out a few hundred attacks. Suddenly, the celestial being felt the weight in his hands vanish and was shocked after witnessing his weapons shattered under Zhong Yue’s barrage.

  With another swing, Zhong Yue hurled his saber towards the celestial being, who dare not try to fend it off bare handedly. The celestial being raised his wings towards Zhong Yue’s sabers, only to watch his feather blades shattered in horror.

  Zhe—

  His right wing was severed and the celestial being fell from the skies but not before shrieking in pain.

  Zhong Yue retracted his wings after he knocked his opponent down from the skies and just as he landed back onto the huge rib cage, Long Zhi was already onto him. Upon seeing the approaching Long Zhi, Zhong Yue immediately flapped his wings and flew towards the Light Water Bottle in the Eight Barren Deity King’s arm.

  Long Zhi arrived in a blink of an eye; she was already at the part where the rib cage and the arm bone connected. With a swing of her hip, she launched her nine tails towards Zhong Yue, wrapping onto him like white silk and dragging him back down.

  Zhong Yue, however, put up a fight by hugging onto the massive finger bone of the Eight Barrens Deity King and upon realizing she could not pull Zhong Yue back down, Long Zhi shrunk her tails and used them as a chain that pulled her towards her target.

  To prevent Long Zhi from getting close, Zhong Yue swung his sabers toward the tails. On the other hand, knowing the tremendous power in Zhong Yue’s saber, Long Zhi immediately let go of Zhong Yue.

  The two then started jumping around from one finger bone to another, all the while hurling attacks at one another. Suddenly, Zhong Yue flew up only to be caught by Long Zhi’s tails again and after he launched himself into the skies, he also brought Long Zhi with him.

  Chapter 912: Deity Kings |

  Long Zhi’s tails pulled backwards, just like pythons wrapped around their prey, her tails almost crushed Zhong Yue’s organs. Zhong Yue immediately swung his sabers but before his sabers reached their target, Long Zhi roared with her nine heads, stunning Zhong Yue with the soundwaves, causing him to fall from the skies.

  This time, they fell right to the Light Water Bottle’s bottle mouth with Long Zhi landing first. She was caught off guard by what happened next; as she fell, she mindlessly tried to grab onto something but to no avail. The bottleneck had nothing to be grab onto. Even with a cultivation of a peak Imperial Emperor, her limbs couldn’t hold onto anything and she slowly slid to the bottom of the bottle.

  Zhong Yue, on the other hand, was also sliding downward with Long Zhi’s deadweight. He quickly stabbed his sabers onto the bottle wall. With the innate sabers made of Innate Yi Dao and after being nurtured with Fu Shang’s innate Dao Qi, the sabers were now Imperial Emperor level weapons. But even so, the sabers only managed to stab a mere two inches deep into the bottle wall.

  Meanwhile, Long Zhi shortened her tails, approaching Zhong Yue quickly. Zhong Yue flapped his wings as he swung the sabers downwards. In mid-air, Long Zhi had nowhere to dodge the attack. She took on Zhong Yue’s attack entirely with her face but not before she retaliated by crushing Zhong Yue even more with her tails.

  “Stop your foolishness or we will both die!”

  Zhong Yue shouted, “Just come up, I promise I will not do anything!”

  Long Zhi lowered her head and looked towards the bottom where the Innate Kan Water made from Kan Barren Dao rippled and reflected the alluring and endless stars in the bottle.

  However, the more beautiful the scene was, the more dangerous it became; things would definitely go sideways if someone fell into the water.

  Long Zhi’s heart tightened upon seeing this and she immediately shouted, “Okay, as long as you don’t go back on your word….”

  Suddenly, Zhong Yue pulled out his sabers and slashed towards Long Zhi as she was slowly moving closer to him.

  Saber flashed across Long Zhi’s eyes and with that, her tails were severed, caused her to shriek in pain while she fell towards the bottom with Zhong Yue. Halfway through falling, Zhong Yue stabbed his sabers back into the walls, stopping his fall.

  Long Zhi, on the other hand, slammed her limbs onto the wall and with screeching noise, her claws shattered. Without being able to stop herself from falling, she continued to fall downwards.

  The wall was just way too slippery and there was nothing that she could hold onto!

  “Brat Yi, how dare you!”

  Long Zhi tried casting a technique, only to have her energy disrupted, her totem Dao disintegrated and she continued falling.

  Even so, this lady was still very impressive; upon being disrupted by the chaotic Dao, she came back to her senses quickly and realized that using any Dao was prohibited. When she almost fell into Innate Kan Water, she hurled out a warship into the water before she landed and panted heavily on the ship.

  Ge ge zhi zhi—

  In just a few seconds, the ship lost balance and slanted towards the side. A shiver crept down onto Long Zhi’s spine as this ship was an Imperial Emperor level item she created using top tier materials and her Dao, yet, it was still being melted by the Innate Kan Water!

  Apart from the top tier materials that were being melted by Innate Kan Water, her Dao was also being disintegrated by the water!

  In no time, half of the ship was already gone and fear consumed Long Zhi as the water quickly swallowed the deck. She was left with no choice but to climb onto the ship’s mast that was also slowly being melted.

  The lady looked hatefully toward the top, where Zhong Yue flapped his wings, flying towards the outside after removing his sabers from the wall.

  With the mast finally melted, Long Zhi made a brave decision; she stabbed one of her tail right into the water, which quickly melted. The pain caused Long Zhi to twist and contort right away. In just a few seconds, that particular tail was almost gone and she stabbed another tail of hers
into the water again, lifting her up as even more pain engulfed her, causing her to swear in her heart.

  Damn you! I will guarantee you will die tragically one day if I manage to catch you!

  Her thoughts were irrelevant to Zhong Yue as the young man flew out from the bottle, only to be shrouded with shadows when the other female Imperial Emperor lunged towards him.

  Zhong Yue evaded her attack and the leopard-tattooed female Imperial Emperor fell into the bottle but not before she launched her tail towards the bottleneck to stop her fall.

  Then, with her tail acting as a hook, she charged towards Zhong Yue swiftly.

  Within the bottle, Long Zhi shouted, “Nu Fang, forget about him and get me out! I can’t hold it any longer!”

  The leopard-tattooed female Imperial Emperor however, smiled and said, “Third sister, be patient! Let me kill him and take take the herbs. Only then will I come for you!”

  Her reply angered Long Zhi greatly and had her shouted, “What? I thought we were intimate Daoists!”

  Nu Fang rained down a shower of attacks towards Zhong Yue on the other hand; her tail shrunk and extended from time to time, allowing her to close in and back off from Zhong Yue freely and she shouted back, “Whatever, as long as I am safe!”

  Long Zhi, who was trapped in the bottle, then began to curse angrily.

  At the same time, Zhong Yue tried his best to defend against Nu Fang but with her incredible speed, she still easily outperformed Zhong Yue even though she could not use her techniques.

  Clearly, the female Imperial Emperor had identified his weakness where after utilizing the Stone Sentinel Maze to gather the gods’ strength to be used at his expense, Zhong Yue needed more time to channel the power into his attacks because the power was not his own power.
