“My daigon,” Peter announced, and gave a formal bow. The maid gave a courtesy to the chancellor and shifted off.

“Good to see you again Peter,” A smile crack on her face. She became more and more fond of Peter as she got to know him better.

“You are officially the Daigon of Honar now. How does it feel?”

“It feels absolutely thrilling. I can stretch my neck and raise my head higher above others.”

“You have a hidden ambition, once you get a taste you will crave more.”

“I love the feeling, the respect everyone shows me, how everyone appreciates me—I love being above them all.”

“When I was first made chancellor, I had a similar feeling, of course I didn’t command the same respect you do. But my purpose of this visit isn’t to discuss formalities pertaining to your position. I would like to finish the story of how I came to this world, if I may.”

  Layana nodded.

“Originally I was an ordinary person living a mundane life and Isvara brought me here.”

Layana nodded again, she remembered everything he told her before.

“My life wasn’t always so boring or plain. When I was young I remember it was full of excitement. Then one day everything changed and you wouldn’t be able to tell how it happened. I always thought my life was boring and life was so unfair but the reality was that it wasn’t all just a coincidence. You shouldn’t suffer pain just because your life was meant to be full of pain. You shouldn’t be miserable just because your life was meant to be miserable. This especially shouldn’t be true if you are making an effort to be jubilant or content. Have you ever wonder why people dislike you so much that they went out of their way to harm you?”

Memories flashed in her head quickly, one after the other. Her head became clouded and she didn’t even realized how Peter knew about the hatred she suffered in the past—she never told him.

“Yes,” she responded with a bitter taste in her mouth. “I wondered all the time but I couldn’t figure out why. Never have I treated people rudely or with disrespect. Never have I intently place prejudice amongst another but yet everyone seemed to do it to me. I always made an effort to befriend and be genuine with my feelings but not once was it reciprocated.” She thought to herself for a moment, what she said was true until university when she committed a few innocent murders.

“I have no proof what happened to you was caused by someone else. For me I discovered from Isvara’s reaeslave that Isvara had been manipulating my life since I was a boy. She manipulated the emotions of those close to me and those that would interact with me. I wasn’t the first one that she done this too, there are many others. Isvara’s reaeslave was manipulated as well and he has been trying to get back at her with moderate success.”

“But why would she want to do that to you?”

“I had a weak telepathic and telekinetic ability. By creating emotional stress, she was trying to draw my abilities to the surface. Without her doing what she did, I may never have developed my abilities. I would have had a slight sensation of people’s emotions and possibly be able to move a coin or light objects a few millimetres. Isvara created a lot of pain for me. I don’t have the courage to confront her and demand her to tell me exactly what she has done to me. Perhaps I will never know the full extent of what she has done.”

“Are you telling me that Qunor manipulated my life?”

“Nothing is for certain but Qunor Moon brought you here for a reason. He had a purpose for bringing you here and all these noble daigons care for no one but themselves. You should be cautious and more alert as to what he wants you to do.”

She took a moment to think if Qunor had done something in her past and what that might have been. Is that why everyone in high school avoided her and the bullies attacked her relentlessly.

Peter understood there was a rush of disturbance clouding her head. “When I first found out Isvara had done this to me, I couldn’t cope with it. But over time I decided that I couldn’t forgive her either. I ask you to reflect and put some thought into your past. Take some time and think about it before you decide what to do. Please promise me that.”

  Layana nodded her head.

“I cannot ask you to keep what I said secret as it wouldn’t be fair. But I do hope you keep what I’ve said in confidence to yourself. We will meet again soon. Farewell my daigon, keep safe,” peter tapped his temple as he spoke the words keep safe. A soft rose red light began to envelope him and he was gone from her sight.
