“Indeed.” Jag laced his fingers together and just stared at them for a few seconds. “I hadn’t realized it would be true since the need has never come up before.”

“Realize what was true?” Marco looked over at Rubio.

They both looked confused, and hell, she was confused. What was Jag talking about?

“That a Felix can sense certain things about his shadow before anyone else could know. Such as males always know when a female is ovulating. It is one of the ways we have been able to procreate throughout history.” Jag didn’t say anything else.

“Well?” Rubio asked with impatience, turning his brows down and his eyes narrow.

“Well, I can tell something that you, Taylor’s mates, can’t seem to tell yet.” Jag’s face split into a wide grin that had her a little nervous.

“What do you mean? We know she’s ovulating. Why do you think we’ve been fucking every second we’re awake?” Rubio demanded.

“Rubio!” She couldn’t believe he’d be so crass as to blurt that out to their Felix of all males.

“Sorry. I don’t get this game he’s playing with us.” Rubio leaned closer to her as he spoke. Marco remained slightly in front of her.

“A Felix of a Shadow or Leap, as far as I know, can always tell when a female has conceived before anyone else, including her mates.” Jag just stood there watching them.

Taylor was the first to get what he’d said. She waited for the twins to catch on. The only warning she had was when Rubio grabbed her out of the chair and swung her around until Marco stopped him, reminding him she was pregnant.

“I can’t believe you waited to tell us!” Marco scolded his Felix.

Jag just grinned wider. “It was fun to, for once, have good news to share. I wanted to savor it.”

“Good news? No, this is great news, wonderful news.” Rubio kissed her until she couldn’t breathe.

Marco pulled him away and tugged her into his arms, hugging her and kissing her with just as much exuberance as his brother had. When Jag grabbed her next and gave her a warm hug but planted his kiss on the top of her head, everyone froze.

“Ah, hell. Just this once you can hug her without me ripping your throat out.” Marco took her hand to bring her back into his and Rubio’s arms. “Just don’t think you can do it again.”

Jag smiled. This time with a hint of teeth. “Wouldn’t dream of it.”

“We’ve got plans to make, mate. It will take at least three weeks or more to ready everything for us to travel there. You can stay in bed or the couch while we handle the details.”

Jag drew in a breath through his teeth and retreated around to the back side of his desk.

“Excuse me? I can stay in bed? I’ll do no such thing. I will be helping you make decisions and packing and planning our future. You will not banish me to a bed or a couch. We need to get this understood right here and right now.” Taylor could see Jag fighting to keep from laughing as she chastised her mates.

Rubio and Marco looked at each other with open mouths. They turned as a unit to their Felix. When Marco started to speak, Jag cut him off with raised hands.

“I’m not in the middle of this, guys. This is your future, and you best think before you speak from this day forward.”

“Or by death you will depart.” Taylor finished for the Felix. “So, what is this about plans to make?”
