Moonlight Madness Part 1

Usually delighted to see Etienne, this time she felt a prick of discomfort. She closed her eyes briefly, rocking from side to side. A series of unpleasant waves washed over her. When he knocked, she hesitated before opening the RV door.

She forced a smile. “Tee! Steele isn’t here.”

His cool gray gaze locked with hers. “I came to see you.”

She stood in the doorway, blocking his entrance to the RV. “Why?”

“Since when have I needed a reason to see you?” He put his hands on her arms and urged her back into the RV, stepping inside. After locking the door, he leaned against it. His gaze moved over her, his nostrils flaring.

Realizing that she had not showered, she flushed. Tee’s superior sense of smell would tell him she and Steele had had sex earlier.

“I can smell your pussy. It’s full of Acier’s seed. It smells delicious.” He pushed away from the door and put his arm around her shoulders. As soon as he touched her, the bad vibes intensified. She pulled away from him and walked into the living room area of the RV.

  “I want some of it.”

She backed through the living room, coming up short against the kitchen cabinet. “No.”

He closed the distance between them, trapping her body against his and the cabinet. His cock, hard and long, pressed against her. “I wasn’t asking. I was telling you what’s going to happen.”

She stiffened and stared up at him. First Steele treated her like a tramp and now Tee, who’d always been sweet and considerate, was hinting at taking her by force? She couldn’t quite bring herself to think of what Tee was threatening as rape. “You’re not touching me, Etienne.”

He curled his fingers in the long, thick hair hanging around her shoulders. “I’m going to do more than touch you. I’m going to fuck you until you can’t walk!”

She sensed a turmoil in him… as if he were fighting an internal battle with himself. “No one takes me without my permission and you do not have my permission.” She shoved at his shoulders. “Get away from me!”

He pressed closer. “I am going to fuck you whether you like it or not.”

She stared up into his eyes. “That’s usually called rape, Etienne.”

“Call it whatever the hell you like! It’s what’s about to happen between us.”

Her heart raced. “Oh, Tee!” She touched his cheek. None of the tenderness he usually possessed was apparent. Lord, she hated what the vampire blood had done and was doing to him and Steele.

His fingers closed over her wrists and he pushed her against the cabinets.

“Etienne! What the fuck do you think you’re doing?”

Steele stood against the closed door of the RV, his eyes glowing, his incisors bared. Raven sucked in a breath. She had never seen him looking so feral or so out of control. Great. Now she would have to fight off both of them. She put her right hand down, fist clenched, channeling Bentia.

Etienne released her and swung around. “What the fuck does it look like? I’ve had it with your shifter shit! We are vampires. She is your bloodlust and as such, I have a right to fuck her -- with or without her or your permission!”

“The hell you will. Get the fuck away from her or get your ass kicked from here to New Jersey, pup!”

Tee tossed back his head and laughed. “I’ve been itching to kick your ass for years now! You want a piece of me? Bring it on, big brother!”

Snarling and growling, Steele and Tee sprang at each other.

Raven thrust out her right hand. Bentia shot from her open palm, erecting herself between the charging twins. Bentia quickly spread herself out until she surrounded both men with her living energy.

The front door of the RV opened. A tall man with auburn hair and green eyes appeared in the doorway. He stormed past Steele to look at her. “I’m Damon duPre, Etienne’s friend.”

She narrowed her gaze. “I know who you are.” The one who’s been egging him on.

I’m the one who’s been urging him to be what he is -- a vampire. Whether you or Acier like it or not, that entails Acier sharing your charms with Etienne. Denying him his due is only making him crazy. Is that what you want?

I want the two of them to be close as they’ve always been. That won’t happen if he and I sleep together. And make no mistake, vampire, no one takes me without my permission.

  You’re not human.

If I were, it would make no difference.

He considered her in silence for several moments before she noted an acknowledgment that she could not easily be dismissed. Release him and I’ll take him away.

She drew her hand back. Bentia dissolved from around Etienne.

DuPre grabbed Tee by his collar and dragged the struggling Etienne toward the door. There he paused. “He and Acier are undergoing the Feast of Indulgence. If I were you, I would not allow Acier to be free until there is someone else with you to help control him.”

She lifted her chin. “I don’t fear him.”

“If you release him without help, there’s no telling what he will do.”

“Suppose you leave that to me?”

Raven and the three males looked toward the RV door. A tall, beautiful woman with dark skin and startling blue eyes stood inside the closed door. Raven pressed her lips together. “You know there’s a bell on the other side of the door.”

The woman smiled, inclining her head. “So there is. My apologies.”

Raven sighed. “I suppose you’re yet another vampire.”

She smiled. “Had your fill of us?”

  “Yes!”

“I am Tatiana Madison-Forester. Aleksei has to remain at home with his woman, who’s in the last stages of a difficult pregnancy.” She touched Tee’s cheek. “Etienne, my cherished young pup, Vladimir is my brother. I am your aunt. I know what you are going through. Go with your friend and know that along with him, members of your extended family will watch over you and see you safely through your feast. You and Acier are no longer alone.”

Etienne bared his incisors, growling softly.

Damon wrestled Etienne from the RV. Moments later, Raven heard his SUV leaving. The woman turned her gaze to Steele, still imprisoned by Bentia. “Release him. I will ensure he does no harm.”

Raven sank back against the kitchen cabinet, recalling Bentia. Steele sprang toward her, a look of lust and anger in his gray eyes. “I told you never to allow her to come between us again!”

Moving with unbelievable speed, Tatiana flashed between them, gripping Steele’s wrists in her hands. “Acier, my handsome pup. I am here to help you through your feast.”

“Then you can start by taking your hands off me and leaving me alone with my woman.”

“If I did that, you would no doubt rape her.”

“She’s my woman! It wouldn’t be rape!”

She laughed. “What a male response. You think because she’s given herself to you willingly that you have a license to take her without her full permission? Oh no, Acier. No. Some things we can be forgiven for doing during our feast, some we cannot.”

  “Release me!”

“I am not here to deny you during your feast, but to ensure you do not tear down bridges you cannot rebuild.”

As Raven watched, her heart aching for the pain and anguish she felt in Steele, the woman sank to the floor, forcing Steele down with her. Leaning against the refrigerator, she drew Steele into her arms and rocked him. “This is a difficult time, but you are among those who love and cherish you. Lean on me, Acier, as you would Aleksei. I am here in physical fact, but he is here in spirit and love.”

  “Where the hell is he?”

“With his woman. She is in danger of losing their child. He will need to remain with her.”

  “What about me?”

She curled her fingers in his hair, staring into his eyes. “You know in your vampire soul that he would die for you. But would you have your unborn sibling die so that he could be here with you?”

“Isn’t that what he does best? Lea
ve when he’s needed most?”

The fem’s eyes glowed. ‘“No! He has never done that. Never. He has spent his entire life putting the interests of his siblings and those he loves before his own. If you have touched his mind, you know that to be true.”

Steele shuddered, burying his face against her shoulder. “I feel like I’m going crazy. I… need him.”

“He knows that. He is torn between his children, but surely you see that the baby’s need supercedes yours.” Tatiana hugged him, kissing his hair. “Reach out to him, Acier. He will answer and help you all he can.” She looked up, waving Raven over. “You are surrounded by those who love and cherish you. We are not Aleksei, but we will do our best.”

Raven went to them, sinking down on her knees. She pressed her cheek against Steele’s back, stroking his hair. “It’s all right, Steele. It’s all right. I’m here to help in any way I can. If you need rough sex, so be it. Whatever you need that I can give you, I will.”

He turned and buried his face against her shoulder, clinging to her. “I’m sorry, petite… so sorry. I’ve never felt so out of control. I can’t stop myself from doing and saying things that I don’t mean.”

She kissed his hair. “It’s all right, Steele. Nothing you say or do will be held against you. We will get through this together.”
