Bearing it for the Outlaw

She nodded and pointed down at the image. There were two bean shaped images now that he really looked at the ultrasound picture.

“Two heartbeats, Drevin. Two babies.” She still sounded afraid, and the scent of that fear filled his head. “I don’t know how to be a mom.”

“Baby…” He set the picture down and held her close. He lifted her easily into his arms, turned and sat on the bed, and whispered in her ear, “You’ll be the best mom, Allie. Hell, I don’t know how to be a dad, but I know that I’ve never wanted anything more than for you to be the mother of my children.”

The tear that slipped down her cheek had him lifting his hand and running his thumb along the wetness. He brought the digit to his mouth, keeping his gaze on her, and licked it clean. “Don’t cry. I’m here, will always be here, and you’ll only ever know happiness and love.”

“I know.” She smiled. “The tears are because I want to be the mother of your children. I was afraid you wouldn’t be as happy as I am about this.”

“God, Allie baby.” He pulled her close to his body again, held her tightly, and closed his eyes. “I never thought I’d have you in my life, let alone a family. You’re my gift, and I don’t know what in the hell I did to deserve such blessings.”

And he didn’t. He had a dark soul at times, was not a good man, but someone was looking down on him and allowing him to have this miracle. Damn, he’d gone all soft and sappy where Allie was concerned. Pulling back again, he looked at her face. “Marry me.”

Her eyes widened slightly. “Drevin, we don’t have to just because I’m pregnant—”

He shook his head, and placed a finger on her lips, stopping her from continuing. “I’m not asking you because you’re pregnant. I’m asking because you’re my world. I’d die for you, kill for you, and can’t see my life functioning without you in it, Allie.” He let go of her lips. “I’m asking you to be my wife because I love you more than anything else in this world, because without you in my life I’m just a shell of a male.” He smoothed his finger along her cheek. “Marry me, Allie.”

She smiled. “Yes,” she said softly, and the bear in him broke free and roared out in pleasure. He stood and lifted her with him.

  “Where are we going?”

He grinned. “The shower, baby. I’m going to show you exactly how much I love you.”

She giggled, and the happiness that consumed him had him lightheaded. Damn, he was one lucky motherfucker. Nothing would take this away from him. Nothing.

  Finally complete

Drevin stared at the woman he loved. She’d just given birth to his babies. The twins were so small, so tiny, and seeing her hold one in each arm, her exhaustion clear on her face, but the smile making him grin as well, had pride and pleasure filling him. He’d helped create those two little miracles she held. He moved closer to her and sat on the edge of the bed.

  “They’re perfect, Drevin.”

He moved a stray piece of hair off of her forehead. “They are, and you’re so damn perfect, Allie baby.”

She smiled and looked up at him. “Here, hold little Cole.” She handed him his son, the baby having a thatch of blond hair. He looked like Drevin, and that had his heart swelling. God, he was a father, responsible for these two angels that were now his world. He looked at his daughter, little Cami. She had her eyes open, and although they were a darker color right now, he knew they’d be green, just like Allie’s. They hadn’t gotten married yet, because he wanted Allie to have a large wedding, one filled with his outlaw family. He wanted her dressed in white, walking down the aisle, looking right at him.

“The guys and their old ladies are all waiting to hear the good news.” He smoothed his finger over Cami’s little brow, then did the same to Cole. He leaned forward and kissed Allie. They hadn’t found out the sex of the babies, and he was glad that they’d waited. Knowing at the time of birth that he got one of each had been a blessing. He handed Cole to Allie, gave her one last kiss, and excused himself. He was the happiest fucking bear on the planet, and now it was time to finally share the news with the men he considered his family, that he was now a father. His time for solitude was over with. He couldn’t wait for the diapers, the crying, and of course spending time with his woman and children. This was what life was about, and he’d finally gotten the gift of a lifetime. He had his club, he had his woman, and now he had his babies. He was finally complete, and what a grand fucking feeling it was.

  Epilogue

  The wedding

“Ready?” Tawny stepped up behind Allie and smiled. The mirror Allie was currently staring at was floor to ceiling length, and the sight that stared back at Allie had her in tears. She was getting married, actually about to tie the knot with a big, bad bear shifting biker.

“I’m nervous as hell.” She smoothed her hands down the lace, knee length white wedding dress she wore. This was an informal wedding, held in the back property of the Grizzly MC clubhouse. She had no family in attendance, but The Grizzlies were her family now. Drevin and her babies would be there, the club members and their old ladies, and the women she’d come to know as friends.

“You’ll do fine, and you look gorgeous.” Drevin will shit bricks when he sees you.”

Allie chuckled, wiped a tear out from under her ear, and thought to herself that he was finally having her happily ever after.

She was currently in one of the rooms in the clubhouse, her heart thundering a mile a minute, sweat beading between her breasts, and her nerves wreaking havoc on her. She didn’t know why she was so afraid. It had been months since she’d had the twins, and she and Drevin were at a great part in their lives and relationship right now. She didn’t want a huge wedding with all the bells and whistles, even if that’s what Drevin wanted to give her. She just wanted to make it official with the man she loved and finally be his wife.

“So, take a deep breath. You ready?” Tawny asked again and smiled.

“As ready as I will ever be I guess.” She gave Tawny a hug after she turned from her reflection. “Thank you for everything, for being there for me when I didn’t have anyone, and making me feel like I belonged.”

Tawny smiled. “You are family, and you do belong. Drevin’s just making an honest woman out of you,” she winked, a teasing note in her voice.

After giving one more hug, Allie took a step back and took a deep breath.

  “Come on, it’ll be great.”

She followed Tawny out of the clubhouse and to the back property. She had no one to walk her down the aisle, no father or brother, but she knew she didn’t need any of that to be happy. She had a group full of bikers that treated her as if she were one of them, kept her and her babies protected, and a man that loved her more than anything else on the planet.

When she reached the aisle, there were chairs on either side of her, all filled with bikers from this charter and others around the country. They’d come to show their respect and love for Drevin and her, and although they didn’t know her, she was Drevin’s old lady, and therefore they cared about her. There were so many Harleys lined up on the side that it looked like some kind of Harley show. Many of the bikers had on their dark sunglasses and leather Grizzly MC cuts, showing their support and loyalty.

“Just breathe,” Tawny said, staying right beside her. Dallas, Tawny’s father, had offered to walk her down the aisle, but Allie had never done anything traditional, and figured no need to start now.

Seeing all those bear shifting bikers had this warm, protected feeling surrounding her. She didn’t know the majority of them, but that didn’t matter, because they were here to support her and Drevin. The Grizzlies were one huge extended family, everyone linking arms to give their strength when it was needed.

Drevin stood at the end of the aisle, the other six original Grizzly members standing behind him Jagger, Brick, Dallas, Court, Stinger, and Diesel. They all wore their leather cuts over white button down shirts, and the sight of Drevin dressed up yet keeping to hi
s biker roots had her smiling.

She’d asked Tawny to be her bridesmaid, and although she could have had all of the Grizzly women stand up there with her, all of them close to Allie, she had kept with the non-traditional route.

She forced herself not to cry as she stared at everyone, seeing their happiness, their love, and their acceptance on their faces. She’d talked to them about her past and where she’d come from. They never once judged her, never once shunned her. They accepted Allie with open arms and took her in as family.

Tawny moved away from her and went to stand across from Drevin.

“I’m ready,” Allie whispered to herself, tightened her hold on the small bouquet of flowers she held, and smiled. Sonya and Darra held Colt and Cami, her little babies squirming and talking a mile a minute in their baby gibberish. Allie started crying tears of happiness at the sight of her children, and then cried harder when she looked up at Drevin and saw the love reflected back at her.

She closed her eyes and felt a tear slide down her cheek as she laughed at how ridiculously happy she was.

When she was in front of Drevin he immediately cupped her cheeks and wiped the tears away.

“No crying today, not even happy tears.”

  She smiled and sniffed.

“I love you, Allie baby.” He leaned forward and kissed her softly.

This was the first step in her new life. She stood beside Drevin, and before they even said their vows Drevin reached behind him for a leather jacket that Jagger gave him. He opened it up and turned it around so she could see the back, and her mouth dropped open slightly. She knew form the stories she heard that this was a tradition with the Grizzlies, and she felt her heart swell. On the back of the leather jacket was the Grizzly MC patch. The top rocker read “PROPERTY OF”, and the bottom rocker read “DREVIN”. She cried harder now, her happiness and love for this man and this club taking control. Colt and Cami started crying, too, and she looked behind her and laughed through her tears. Her babies were just as emotional as she was.

“This is it, baby girl, no going back now,” he said softly. “You’re stuck with me, with this life, and I won’t let you go. Ever.” Drevin looked so serious.

“You better never let go,” she whispered through her smile and teaser of happiness, and then they turned toward the minister and got married in front of everyone they loved.
