I'll Never Love A Dope Boy Again 2

Kamora’s lawyer was waiting as soon as they made it inside. They had met with him on yesterday for two hours and discussed everything. He received a hefty fee to make sure Kamora wouldn’t have to do any jail time, and he gave them his word. He told them the most she would get was probation. Kamora didn’t want that on her record because her next venture was to open up a center for the underprivileged youth, but there were ways around everything, so she would be okay as long as she didn’t go to jail. She and Demetrius briefly discussed going into business together, but they wouldn’t be able to focus on it until all of the madness ended.
“Good morning! How are y’all doing today?” the lawyer asked.
“Just ready to get this over with,” they stated together after saying good morning.
“What’s wrong?” Kamora asked after noticing the nervous expression on her lawyer’s face.
“Nothing is really wrong. Things just may take longer than expected because of a couple of changes,” he replied.
“Shit. What kinda changes?” Demetrius asked, becoming frustrated.
“The judge that was scheduled for this case had a family emergency, and the judge we have now is new. We just never know how that will go. Also, the mother wants custody of the child and states she never signed over her rights,” he told them.
“Are you fucking serious? She kidnapped him and has the nerve to seek custody!” Kamora screamed. Demetrius rubbed her back.
“Calm down please. It depends on how the judge looks at it. If he’s her son and the birth certificate states she is, it’s not considered kidnapping, but we are going to fight this thing no matter what. I just want you all to be prepared,” the lawyer stated.
“I can’t believe this bitch. She left her child, and now… six years later, she wants him. That’s some straight bullshit,” Kamora said.
Demetrius was doing everything in his power to stay calm on the outside but, on the inside, he was fuming. He just wanted all of this bullshit to be over like yesterday. “How long can this whole process take?” Demetrius asked the lawyer.
“It’s really hard to say, but it can get ugly. The judge will, of course, look at what’s in the best interest of the child… and you guys mentioned that Mr. Jordan might indeed be the biological father… that would help the case tremendously if that’s true since he is already in his life. But legit stability would be requested,” the lawyer told them.
“I have legit income, so that won’t be a problem,” Kamora spoke up and said.
“I’m gonna make sure everything works out. That’s what I was paid to do,” the lawyer said.
“And you were paid damn good at that,” Demetrius said. He had his own lawyer, but he didn’t do family court cases, so he recommended a colleague of his. If things didn’t go as planned, Demetrius had plans to let his lawyer have it.
When they walked into the courtroom two hours ago, it took everything within Kamora to keep from running up and slapping the dog shit out of Trish, who was sitting there smiling with her public defender. When the judge walked out, it was clear that she was a no nonsense type of person and she would really put the best interest of the child first. The process wasn’t over, but Kamora was feeling confident that everything would work in their favor. The next step they had to do was take a paternity test; if Demetrius was really D’Mani’s dad, the process would speed along quickly like their lawyer had previously told them.
Before picking D’Mani up from Nikki, Demetrius and Kamora decided to go and check on some possible properties they might use to open up their center. They liked two out the four they viewed and would have their lawyers negotiate prices. “Brook wants us to go out Friday night. She wants me to meet her fiancé, Jay,” Kamora said before they made it to pick D’Mani up.
“I gotta go too?” Demetrius asked, hoping she would say no but already knowing the answer.
“Hell yeah, you gotta go,” Kamora answered, laughing. “It should be cool. It’s just dinner. I’ll have her pick a nice restaurant, so there won’t be a good chance of any drama popping off,” she continued.
“You know damn well drama is your cousin’s middle name, but I guess I’ll go since you pretty much telling me instead of asking me,” Demetrius said while side eyeing her.
“She’s been trying to change for the better. I just need to meet this man and see what kinda vibe I get from him,” Kamora said.
“I know you love your cousin, but you can’t get caught up in her drama. You gon make me have to body a nigga if they look at you the wrong way,” Demetrius said as he was turning into Nikki’s driveway.
“Hopefully, it won’t come down to any of that baby. Let me go get him right quick; I won’t be long.” Kamora kissed him and got out of the truck.
Nikki opened the door before Kamora could ring the doorbell. “Well, I see you didn’t get locked up, so everything must have gone well,” Nikki said to her friend. Kamora ran everything down to her and also updated her on the plans of opening a center. Since Ken talked Nikki into quitting her job a year ago because he was making so much money, this would be the perfect opportunity for Nikki to work again. She always worked well with children, so she would be a great fit. They talked for about ten minutes until Kamora remembered Demetrius in the truck waiting.
“I’m gonna call you in a few. My big baby is in the truck waiting,” Kamora said before calling for D’Mani. She reminded Nikki about D’Mani sleeping over Friday night and then left. Since no one felt like cooking, they went to the drive-thru at Burger King before going home. Kamora looked in the backseat at D’Mani watching a movie, then looked to her left at Demetrius and wondered how in the hell her life had turned out this way. God’s plan sure aren’t ours, she thought to herself.

Kamora had just dropped D’Mani off with Nikki and was heading back home to get dressed when her cellphone rang. It was in her purse, so she wasn’t able to see who it was before it connected to Bluetooth, but she answered anyway by saying hello.
“Heeyyy bitch!”
“Stacey!! Your ass was supposed to been called me back. You ain’t shit,” Kamora said, recognizing her longtime friend’s voice immediately.
“Girl… I’m so sorry! My ass just been so busy. When I sneak up to Atlanta from Augusta, I usually meet my lil boo and dip right back out,” Stacey said.
“Mmm hmm… so what do I owe the pleasure of this call tonight? Your lil boo tripping huh?” Kamora asked.
“As a matter of fact, he is. I drove all the way up here and this nigga just told me he forgot he had a meeting tonight. Nigga thought I was gonna wait til it was over. Got me so fucked up. So, I was trying to see what you was up to,” Stacey said, sounding extra dramatic.
“Damn… you would call when I have plans. Tonight we’re having dinner with Brook at Benihana’s to meet her fiancé,” Kamora replied.
“Brook got a fiancé? What the hell? I know I’m waayyy out of the loop,” Stacey said while laughing.
“Yes, you are out of the loop because yo ass don’t hit nobody up. I called you when D’Mani was kidnapped and you never called back,” Kamora chided.
“What the fuck? Oh my God… we are meeting up soon. I might go ahead and stay overnight up here, and we can do lunch tomorrow. I don’t even remember having a missed call from you, but work has been crazy, along with this crazy ass personal life of mine,” Stacey responded.
“Tomorrow is fine. I don’t have any plans, so we can do lunch. It’s been almost a year since I’ve seen your ass anyway,” Kamora insisted.
They confirmed their plans for the next day, just as Kamora was pulling up at home. She noticed Demetrius had made it back from handling business. She told him she would be happy when he was done with the street life, and he agreed that his time was winding down when they discussed it the night before. Kamora smiled before getting out of her truck, thinking about all of the storms she had gone through, but she was still standing.
Walking in the house, she found D
emetrius sitting on the side of the bed in his boxers with a black three-piece Sean John suit beside him. Kamora looked at him with a smirk on her face as she walked up to him and gently pushed him back on the bed. “We gon fuck around and be late-,” he started saying, but Kamora silenced him with a kiss to his sweet lips.
“Umm… I see someone is awake down there.” Kamora grinned.
“Hell yeah… you know it don’t take nothing but for me to look at you to get my shit hard,” Demetrius smiled and said. Kamora giggled and started back kissing her baby. She made a trail of kisses leading down to his rock hard dick. When she reached her destination, she teased the head before fully taking him into her mouth. “Got damn ma! Shit!” Demetrius moaned as his toes curled. Kamora continued to give him the business and finally let up when she wanted to feel him inside of her. She was wearing a maxi dress, so she raised herself up and pulled it over her head. Before she pulled it completely off, Demetrius flipped her over and took control. “You ain’t in control of shit,” he said playfully as he pulled her bra off and squeezed each of her nipples. When his mouth replaced his right hand, Kamora let out a moan, letting him know that what he was doing felt good as fuck. He knew exactly what she liked, so he pulled both of her breasts together and bit and sucked both of her nipples at the same time.
“Mmmm, that feels so good baby,” Kamora sighed and she felt herself about to come. When he inserted two fingers into her pussy, she had no choice but to release.
After she came, Demetrius eased his hard dick into her wetness. “It’s always so good and tight,” Demetrius said to Kamora when he leaned down and kissed her. Kamora wrapped her legs and arms around Demetrius’ back and pulled him closer.
“You feel so damn good,” she panted while rotating her hips and taking in every inch of him. Demetrius took her left leg and put it on his shoulder. “Shit!” Kamora said out of pleasure mixed with pain. “I’m bout… to… come baby,” Kamora moaned. When she came, Demetrius came right along with her.
“Yo fast ass gon have us late for this shit,” he said while laughing after he rolled over.
“I didn’t see you turning it down,” Kamora rebutted before she got up to go hop in the shower. She saw Demetrius coming to get in the shower with her, but she stopped him and told him to go get in the other shower because she knew if he got in with her, they would most definitely miss dinner. He laughed and turned around because they had never showered together without having sex.
Kamora admired herself in the floor length mirror. She was wearing a black and gold cocktail dress by Robert Cavalli, black strappy heels, and a jewelry set Demetrius had given her as a ‘just because’ gift. Her hair was pinned up, she put on a little make up and sprayed on some Chanel Number 9, and was ready to go after grabbing her clutch. “Damn, you look good enough to eat girl,” Demetrius crooned while grabbing her arm and spinning her around.
“You look mighty fine yourself babe,” Kamora uttered while staring at her man from head to toe.
“Let’s get outta here before I rip that dress off and fuck the shit outta you,” he said while laughing.
They pulled up to Benihana and valet parked. “I feel naked without my pistol,” Demetrius said to Kamora while walking inside. Brook had texted Kamora and told her the reservation was under McDonald, so Kamora gave the hostess the information and they were seated. They were expecting to see Brook already but, apparently, they arrived first. The waitress came and took their drink order. Demetrius ordered a Corona, while Kamora asked for a water. “Something feels off ma… I don’t know what it is, but I’ll be glad when this shit is over for real for real,” Demetrius huffed.
“Something does feel strange, but I can’t put my finger on it. It’s gonna be okay though baby,” Kamora confidently said then leaned over and kissed Demetrius. Her phone chimed and it was a text message from Brook, telling her they were in line to valet and would be in shortly. Demetrius finished off his Corona and was about to order another one but changed his mind.
“I can’t wait to see what’s under that dress,” he told Kamora while leaning over and rubbing his hand up her thigh. Kamora looked at him and was about to respond until she heard Brook’s ghetto mouth.
“Heeyyy boo… I miss you so much,” Brook squealed.
“It’s takes you to be ghetto anywhere,” Kamora replied and stood up and hugged her cousin. When she locked eyes with the man standing behind Brook, she gasped, and it felt like her heart fell to the fucking floor. Demetrius stood up to be cordial, but he froze when he noticed the man too. “JAMAL!!!” Demetrius growled while balling his fists.
Chapter 24
Since Nikki knew the kids would be glued to the television playing the game in KJ’s room, she decided to invite her new friend over for a chat. She told the boys if they needed anything, she would be in the living room. Ever since the incident, he had been reaching out to her. She started out talking to him on the phone and texting every other day, but it eventually led to everyday. It turned out that Officer Franklin was divorced with a little girl that he was able to spend time with on his off days. His ex-wife made his divorce messy, even after she was the one caught cheating. “Where’s your daughter tonight?” Nikki asked him.
“She’s visiting with her grandmother for two, maybe three weeks, so I’ll get to make up my time after she returns,” Chad replied.
“Sounds great. You want anything to drink?” Nikki asked.
“No, I’m good. I’m just happy you finally opened up and let me visit. There’s something special about you,” Chad told her.
Nikki started blushing and became nervous. Before she could reply, she heard the lock being fumbled with and jumped. When the lock didn’t turn, someone started banging on the door. “You changed the fucking locks again?” Ken barked from the other side of the door. “Who you got in there? Open this door!” he screamed. Chad tried to get up, but Nikki stopped him. She told him that she was going to ignore him because this had become normal, and she admitted this was the reason she hadn’t allowed him to visit before. After another minute of beating and yelling, it finally became quiet, and Nikki plopped back onto the couch and sighed.
“You know you can get a restraining order right?” Chad told more than asked her.
“I know, but I was trying not to go that route. You would think he would be happy; he was the one cheating our whole relationship. I just want him to leave me the hell alone,” Nikki disclosed. Chad reached over and began massaging her shoulders.
“You just relax and don’t let him stress you out,” he told her with sincerity. They talked for about another hour and then he decided to head on home. After Nikki locked the door behind him, she went to check on the boys, and they were too engrossed into the game to even notice her, so she closed the door and walked right back out.

Peanut sent Smoke a text and told him the nigga name was Jay that needed to be fucking dealt with. After the text was sent, he called his boy Slick, who was supposed to meet up with him to pick up the shipment to see where he was. Shit had been going so crazy lately; everyone switched up their routines because they were being watched. No one wanted to lose any more money and no one wanted to get popped, so being cautious was a must. Slick informed him that he was only two minutes away, so he hung up and started thinking. With Coco telling him that it could be another month before the nigga Jay met up at the location they needed to hit, Peanut was wrecking his brain every minute of the day to come up with a backup plan.
Once Slick pulled up, him and Peanut rolled out. They chopped it up about the business on the way to their destination. Peanut trusted Slick with his life, and he was training him up to take his place whenever the time came. He didn’t come out and tell him, but he was sure he knew the deal. They pulled up about thirty minutes later, made the switch, and headed back out.
Chapter 25
Kamora started hyperventilating. Those were eyes that she knew she could never forget, but she also never imagine
d seeing them again. Demetrius had reached inside his empty pockets four times before rushing to Kamora’s side, silently cursing himself for not having any heat on him. “What’s wrong Kamora?” Brook asked clueless and full of concern.
“I… I… just need… to leave,” Kamora stuttered. Demetrius grabbed her around the waist and told her to relax and breathe. Brook was scared out of her mind because she had no idea what was going on. Jay stood there pissed off that he wasn’t strapped because he would’ve taken Demetrius out without a second thought.
“I’m just gonna get her outta here,” Demetrius told Brook.
“Good to see you again, homie,” Demetrius said to Jamal sarcastically and walked off. Brook grabbed Kamora’s purse and walked behind Demetrius and Kamora. The valet brought the car around quick and they took off. Tears streamed down Kamora’s face once they were away from the restaurant. Her breathing was returning to normal, but Demetrius was still going to the emergency room to make sure she was okay because she had scared the shit out of him. He was pissed off because he never thought he would run into his so-called friend again, but he needed to make sure his woman was okay before thinking about his issues.
Surprisingly, the emergency room wasn’t packed for it to be a Friday night, and Kamora was called to the back in no time. Demetrius explained everything that happened to the nurses and doctor. They said it seemed like she had a panic attack. Kamora sat there listening to them silently. She was okay, but she knew not to bring up the cause of the so-called panic attack because it would only lead to the police being involved, and this was a problem that started in the streets, so she felt like it needed to be dealt with accordingly.
