Love Goes On

Diane was also slim, but short with shoulder length sandy blonde hair. However, she looked more like her mother and had an energetic attitude. She wore a cotton sateen tonal dark pink rose sheath dress paired with tan Belinda strappy exotic leather kitten heels. I thought she looked as stunning as her sister, and I felt like Diane and I could become more than sister in-laws; we could become best friends.
Hannah was slender like her sisters with long sandy blonde hair. Hannah resembled her father. She had a friendly, but sophisticated presence. She was wearing a black shadow foliage print sheath dress paired with black heels. I felt like I wanted to become friends with Hannah, but I felt like she was more interested in working.
“So what do you all think?” I asked the girls.
“Love it!” Diane grinned.
“You are a knockout!” Anna screeched.
“You take my breath away!” Susie said as a single tear fell down her cheek. She quickly wiped it away as she giggled.
Mom was crying. “You look so beautiful, Sweetheart,” Mom smiled as she dabbed her tears away with a tissue.
I smiled grateful that everyone liked my dress, expect Tina. I wanted her opinion too.
“Tina, what do you think?” I asked.
She gave me a dirty look. “You look like a fat cow hooked on cookies,” Tina stated disrespectfully.
I stood there with my mouth hanging wide open. I felt tears brewing, ready to escape at any moment.
“TINA! You are very disrespectful. Our mother and father taught us to have manners!” Diane yelled at her.
“What is your problem, Tina?” Hannah asked angrily.
“Why are you being rude to me? I want to include you in this, you are Kaden’s sister and my future sister in-law,” I said smiling.
“You’re never going to be any sister in-law of mine! I know you’re just like the other sluty girls Kaden dated. They milked him for all he was worth!”
“I’m not like those girls. I love your brother very much, so much it hurts!”
“That’s what the other girls said too.”
I began to cry. “I’m not lying to you! I love him with everything I’ve got in me!”
“Look what you’ve done!” Diane yelled at Tina as she got up and hugged me.
My mom stood up and hugged me too as well as Hannah and Susie. My mom turned around to face Tina.
“I would appreciate it if you would apologize to Sara or leave,” My mom told Tina.
She looked down at her feet as she sighed then she looked up at me crying. “I’m sorry. I just want the best for my brother. I started to hate every girl he dated because I was tired of seeing them drain him of his money,” Tina stated.
I went over to her. “I love Kaden and I would never do such a thing to him.”
She stood up and hugged me tightly. “I’m so sorry, Sara, I really am,” Tina inquired.
“I forgive you. But judge everyone the same way just because of what has happened before,” I replied.
She hugged me again then she sat back down. “By the way that dress looks ravishing on you,” she said as she winked at me.
After paring my wedding dress with white knot peep toe heels and a beaded veil that flowed down my back; Laura took my measurements. Then I picked out my dress for the reception which was a short white strapless printed organza gown with floral sash. This dress costs three-hundred-ninety-nine dollars!
I had Anna and Susie model the dress for the bridesmaids. It was a short silk from the heart pink embroidered strapless dress paired with white iris bow patent leather heels. The men were wearing black tuxes with a white shirt, a polished plum tie and a polished plum vest.
I’m not changing up the style of the dresses because I wanted all of the ladies to have the same dress. My maid of honor which was Anna will have the same dress, just slightly longer. Each of these dresses costed one-hundred-ninety-nine dollars. However, Anna’s dress costed a little more because she was adding fabric to it.
Once we finished Kaden paid for everything then we all headed back to the house for a nice dinner. While everyone lounged around the pool Kaden and I fixed Hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad and macaroni salad.
“Do you think I’m fixing enough?” I asked Kaden.
“Yes, this will be plenty,” Kaden replied sweetly.
“Good,” I sighed.
“I heard the communion between you and Tina.”
“You did?” I asked worriedly.
“I’m sorry she was so mean to you. I should have warned you.”
“We’re fine now.”
“That’s good. I want you to like my whole family and I want my family to like your whole family.”
I giggled. “It will take a long time for that to happen considering your family is so huge!”
He kissed my forehead.
Once we finished cooking dinner we called everyone in. We all gathered around the dining room table. I sat next to Diane and Hannah across from Tina, Anna and Susie.
“What do you girls do in Rome?” I asked Kaden’s sisters.
“Tina and I have a clothes store, except Tina’s includes a shoe department and a jewelry department too. Hannah helps Tina and me in our store,” Diane stated.
“That’s nice. What type of clothes do you sell and what ages?” I inquired.
“We sell name brand clothes for the fraction of the price, and we even have our family name clothes line too. We sell for all ages from infants to elderly.”
“Wow! How many years has your store been open?”
“For three years now and it’s kicked off great!”
“I’ll have to stop by when I Kaden and I come for a visit.”
She looked at me shocked. “You’re coming to visit us?” Diane asked excitedly. Everyone stared at me waiting for my answer.
“I definitely am! I decided to visit Rome before I moved there so I can become more aquatinted with the city.”
“Oh you’ll love Rome!” Tina stated as her siblings agreed.
“I hope I do. I’ll be living there soon enough,” I replied.
“We are delighted that you cooked dinner for us and we loved it, but we have to catch our flight back to Rome,” Diane said.
They hugged me and Kaden good-bye. Only Anna and Susie stayed. They helped me clean up and then they left.
“What do you think of my sisters?” Kaden asked me.
“They are nice. They were excited to hear I’m coming to Rome,” I stated.
“That’s good you guys get along.”
“I would hope we would get along. I didn’t get a chance to meet your brothers though.”
“You’ll know them in time. They noticed you were enjoying your time with the girls so they decided not to bother you.”
“Actually they probably thought if they interrupted our conversation they would have been yelled at by them.” I giggled.
“You’re right. My sisters don’t like to be interrupted when they’re talking.”
I smiled as we kissed feeling like I had a wonderful day.
I met with Alyssa at twelve then Kaden met me at the burger joint for a late lunch.
“How did the meeting go?” Kaden inquired as he sat next to me at the table outside.
“It went well. We finished purchasing the flowers,” I replied.
“What colors did you choose for the flowers?”
“White, polished plum and from the heart which is a dark pink. The plum and pink are the same colors as the dresses and the tuxes.”
He chuckled. “They are nice colors. I like the plum.”
“Thank you. I figured you guys would prefer to wear the plum instead of the pink.”
“You’re right about that.” The waiter took our order. A couple
of minutes later she brought us our drinks.
“When are we going to Rome?” I asked.
“In a couple of weeks. It’s a surprise!”
I laughed. “You must like secrets because you’re always doing this to me.”
He smiled. “I love keeping secrets,” he joked.
“Oh, boy! I’ll have to keep my eye on you,” I played along with his joke.
“You most definitely will!” He replied sexily. I looked at him with desire as the waiter sat our food down then left. “You don’t know what you do to me,” Kaden stated.
“Tell me,” I whispered.
“Like right now I could leave this food here and take you.”
I sighed. “Oh, how I would love to, but I just can’t.”
“Why?” he laughed.
“I have to watch you, remember.”
We giggled. Then he threw a fry at me. I sucked in air and threw one back. Sooner than we knew it we were laughing like crazy and covered in food.
He grabbed me and pulled me close to him. “You know you’re looking kind of sexy all
Dirty.”
“You look all hot and bothered,” I pushed him away from me. “Too bad you can’t have me.”
“When the time comes you’ll be begging for more!”
I stood there with my heart beating hard and feeling like I wanted to jump on him right now. “You’ve got that all wrong. You’ll be the one begging for more!”
He smiled at me. “We’ll see when the time comes. Won’t we?”
My body jerked. “You just wait! You’ve got it coming!”
He chuckled as he threw down money on the table for our meal. When we arrived home we let the pugs outside as Kaden and I sat on the bench. Kaden and I peered over toward the cabins.
“They look nice,” I stated.
“They do. They have three more to build,” Kaden agreed.
“I can’t believe how fast they’re moving along with them!”
“Without the extra workers they wouldn’t be moving this fast!”
“You’re right I forgot to think about that.”
He chuckled. “How was today’s meeting with Alyssa?”
“It went well. We’re getting closer and closer to finishing everything.”
“That’s wonderful to hear!”
“What did you do today?”
“I called my parents and told them we are coming to visit them and what day we will be arriving.”
“When are we going?” I tried to trick him into telling me.
He smiled at me. “You’re not pulling that on me.”
“Darn!” I laughed.
He kissed my head. “Secrets are sometimes fun. They make you want something even
More.”
“Are you throwing a hint to me?”
“In a way I am.”
I giggled. “Well, I will see what I can come up with to keep secrets from you. Secrets are fun, but I just don’t like waiting so long to find out what it is.”
He chuckled. “Well, Babe, it’ll give your brain something to do.”
I giggled. “Hey, now!” I play hit him. I looked into his eyes and felt so lucky to have him. We were each other’s half.
“What are you thinking about?”
“How you and I complete each other.”
“In so many ways than one.”
“I knew then and I know now that I choose the right girl for me.”
I smiled. “I’m glad you did.” We kissed. As we were walking inside I noticed Sadie was walking slower than she usually does. I stopped in my tracks. “Kaden.” He turned around and stopped.
“What’s wrong?”
“Sadie is walking so slowly.”
“Sara, sometimes dogs do walk slowly.”
“I know, but Sadie is walking slower than she usually does.”
Kaden walked over to me and grabbed me by my waist as we followed Sadie inside.
“If it makes you feel better we’ll take her to the vet.”
“I’ll just see how she is tomorrow. Maybe she just hurt her foot.”
Kaden and I sat on the couch.
“Sara, let me take her to the vet. I don’t want you to keep worrying about her,” Kaden said.
“No, she may come around; I think she just hurt her foot.”
“All you have to do is ask and I will take her.”
“Okay, I’ll let you know.”
Kaden and I got ready for bed. When we kissed goodnight I lay awake thinking whether or not I should take Sadie to the vet. The reason why I didn’t want to take her was because I didn’t want to find out that something was wrong with her; it would break my heart in half. I loved my two dogs like they were my children. I soon fell asleep with Sadie on my mind.

School’s Out
Today was Thursday and school was finally over for the year! I was excited about watching Riley soon. So today Kaden and I were getting her room ready; since she was two Kaden and I bought her a toddler bed.
“I’m extremely excited about watching Riley!” Kaden exclaimed
“Are you going to help me watch her?” I questioned excitedly.
“Do you not want me to help you?”
“Yes, I want you to help me. We’re going to have a blast this summer. I can’t believe my mom is letting us watch Riley. Usually mothers would never go on a trip without their children.”
“Well, you know couples do need time alone sometimes maybe even a trip to get to know each other again.”
“I would never leave our kids behind! I would take our kids everywhere we went.”
“Well, I would love to do that. I really would, but being prince and princess you can’t always have everything you want.”
“Well, I’ll just have to find a way.”
He chuckled. “We’ll see, My Beauty.”
“Yeah, we will see.”
“We don’t even have kids yet and you’re getting all feisty about what you will and will not do.”
I smiled. “Well, I like to think ahead of time.”
He smiled and kissed me. “That’s good. But keep in mind your thoughts or visions that you want to happen now could change down the road.”
I finished putting Riley’s clothes away while Kaden finished putting her bed together.
Then went downstairs and strolled into the kitchen to prepare lunch. I cooked corn dogs, french fries and macaroni salad.
“Riley’s room is almost ready,” Kaden stated as he spooned food into his mouth.
I grinned. “That’s wonderful!” I exclaimed.
After we finished eating I went into the living room to telephone my mom while Kaden cleaned up for me and went to finish preparing Riley’s room.
I dialed their number. The phone rang about ten times before my mom answered.
“Hello,” Mom said through gasps of air.
“Mom, what’s wrong?” I asked worriedly.
Mom calmed down before she answered me. “Nothing, Sara, I was running from out back to get to the phone. Your Dad is asleep with Riley.”
I sighed with relief. “Oh, what are you doing out back?”
“Pulling weeds and tending to my gardens.”
“It is a nice day for that.”
“What are you and Kaden doing?”
“We’re getting Riley’s room ready.”
Mom sighed with disappointment. “About that, Sara; I don’t think your dad and I will be going on that trip after all.”
“But Kaden and I were looking forward to watching her.” I said disappointed.
“I’m sorry, Sara, but your dad’s stomach is acting up again. We will still need you to watch her thi
s summer occasionally.”
“Mom, I’m sorry, I didn’t know.” I felt horrible about how rude I was.
“It’s alright, Sara. I know you were looking forward to watching Riley, but your dad can’t go. So we will be planning events close to home. That’s why we still need you two to watch her some.”
“Is Dad going to be alright?”
“He went to the doctor this morning and the doctor said that he is alright, but to take a vacation from work to relax.”
“I’m glad Dad’s okay. When will Kaden and I be watching Riley?”
“Your dad wants to take me on a date one night soon so we will have Riley spend the night with you and Kaden. Riley is excited to spend time with you and Kaden.”
“Okay, I’m glad she wants to spend time with us. I have been thinking about how you are going away on that trip and leaving Riley with me. Usually mothers won’t do that.”
“Well, we’re not going now and why would you say that?”
“I thought all mothers would not want to leave their toddler with someone else while they go on a trip.”
“I have to admit; I thought I was crazy for leaving Riley while I went away. But I trusted you and Kaden and knew she would be in good hands.”
“Mom, I want you to know you broke my heart.” I pretended to sniffle. “I was really looking forward to bonding with my little sister this summer.” I joked.
Mom giggled. “I don’t mean to rush off the phone, but you sister and father will be up from their nap soon; so I need to finish tending to my gardens before I have to slave over dinner.”
“Okay, Mom. Call me soon and let me know what day you want us to watch Riley.”
“I will. I love you, Sara.”
“I love you too, Mom.”
I stuck my phone back into my pocket as I solemnly made my way to Riley’s room to tell Kaden about the situation. He was putting the sheets on Riley’s bed and arranging her room.
“Kaden,” I spoke in a normal tone, but he seemed so wrapped up in what he was doing that he didn’t acknowledge me. “Kaden!” I raised my voice.
He quickly glanced at me and smiled. “Oh, hey! I didn’t see you there,” Kaden replied then he went back to what he was doing.
