Up on the Constellation the colonists were all busy talking about the attack on the planet New Earth by the space pirates, and of their destruction by a space cruiser from the planet Orion commanded by non-other than Tyler Burrows. The arrival of the Defiant off their port side brought further excitement, with many varied and fanciful explanations, all of them way off the mark.
The Johor`s were now quietly discussing what options they had if the Defiant stayed with them all the way to Persephone. They knew that they would probably be abandoned by the Aldebran space cruiser, who would see that its continued presence would only bring trouble down on the planet of Aldebra.
"Mariah, all that we can do is play dumb about the stolen technology and repeat that we are geologists on the way to Persephone to do a job, they have no evidence to the contrary, for if they did have any they would have already presented us with it." Rigor said.
"I fear that you are right Rigor, but I would like to know how they found out that the stolen technology was being transported aboard the Constellation."
"Tirana must have made a mistake somewhere along the line." Rigor suggested.
"Yes I think that must be the answer, it is why I prefer for us to work alone, and without the help of others." Mariah said.
