Cursed- the Sequel

“I don’t know, the last thing I remember was me begging not to be pulled away. As if someone was forcing me back here.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

“Can you wait upstairs for us.” Duke said to Willow and she dismissed herself. Duke sat this medium size trunk on the table along with another antique looking one.

  “What is that?”

“Giselle ass helped me out more than you know. The second one won’t open for shit. Giselle wasn’t lying about that.” I looked at it and tried while he opened the first one. He began telling me about Giselle’s findings. Even though me and Robin go back years and years. I still didn’t know much about her life. The stuff me and Bella went through in Haiti was nothing compared to what Duke had. The picture of Robin’s parents’ home was the exact home me and Bella were at. I never would have thought this evil ass woman would have killed her parents. Duke then told me how powerful they were, Robin wanted to have all that power.

“Look at this picture.” He showed it to me. “Do you know that fourth woman is?” I couldn’t even hear him anymore. Her face, her sweet face was so graceful. The dress she had on, I paid a woman two whole dollars to make it for her. The smile on her face was priceless when it was done. I looked at her stomach because it was that night when she told me she was pregnant. Pregnant with our son, my boy.

“Yes, I know who she is. It’s uh, it’s my wife Linda.” I looked at Duke and he was shocked.

“Damn, you’ve never shown me a picture of her before. I don’t want you to get upset when I tell you this but. I keep dreaming about her. Nothing sexual I swear, it’s like I’m laying down and she’s looking over me. Or I’m running through a field laughing and she’s chasing me. It’s odd because I’m a child but I don’t remember being a child. When Giselle gave me that picture, I swear to you she smiled at me and pointed to Annabella’s mama.” I had to sit down because this was a lot he was saying. His phone went off and he took it out his pocket. I saw his nostrils flare up and he squeezed his hand.

  “You good?”

“No, it’s Faye. She’s still not trying to tell me where she is and I’m losing my patience. I swear Andreas I didn’t touch Willow.” Even if I didn’t know he was my son, I still would believe him. I’ve been around him his whole life so I knew when he was lying. But that still didn’t mean he was wrong.

“We are not humans Duke. Emotionally cheating is still the same as physical. You were drawn to her when only Faye should have that effect on you.” He was pacing back and forth, and I knew his anger was spilling over. “If you fuck any of my Chateau Lafite up I will kill you myself.” He waved me off but Duke knew I wasn’t playing. I mean I wouldn’t have killed him but I’d fuck him up. I don’t play about my vintage wine and I got bottles in here dating back to the 1700s.

“I just need her to five me five-minutes and listen. I can’t feel her anymore, like at all.” Shit. I stood up when he said that. Last time he couldn’t feel Faye, she found out she was a slayer. The fact that Duke was standing before me let me know she wasn’t dead. We nest together so what happens to one happens to all. Faye is my blood so I can not have her in danger, any vampire for that matter.

“You think she’s without her humanity?” I asked him that and he punched the stone and brick wall. His hand went through it and even though it’ll heal in seconds. The racks that held my wine shook and I looked at him.

“Calm down. Faye is not Willow; she will handle herself better. I need to talk to you about this picture.” I stood up and walked over to him. I figured this was the perfect time to tell him who he really was. My fear would be him not being able to handle it and lashing out.

“In 1840---” I stopped talking when I felt disconnected. It was like someone was keeping your heart wrapped in a blanket with the finest material. All toasty, warm, nourishing and loving it every single day. Then out the blue, someone pour ice water on it and kicks it around. The feeling lasted for only two seconds but it was much longer than that for me. Using my vamp speed I went through the entire mansion all the way till I got outside on top of the hill I liked to rest at.

“Beauty.” I called her name when I saw her in wolf form standing there looking at the view. Transforming back to her normal self she turned and looked at me. “I have never not felt you, from the moment we first met. What’s wrong?”

“I don’t know Andreas, something is off with me. I fed today on someone last night and I saw something while I drunk from him.”

  “Your visions are back?”

“No, that’s the strange thing. He means me harm and yet I can’t bring myself to do anything about it. I don’t know why, I feel like I’m in a war with my heart and brain. Like an evil entity is trying to hold me down.” I thought about the words I just said to Duke about him and Faye.

“Is that your dramatic way of telling me you were drawn to another man?” It took years for me to learn control and just that fast I felt me losing it.

“You are mine, Annabella. Every fucking inch of you belongs to me!” I felt myself change to the monster that I swore I wasn’t since I’ve met her. “I will not live without you and I will rip out hearts of many until it’s me and you.” Speeding to me her eyes grabbed mine while using her other hand to grab my face. Although a vampire cannot demand another vampire her eyes were still hypnotizing. Bella grabbed my hand which didn’t look normal.

The veins all through my enormous knuckles was as terrifying as the long black nails growing from my fingers. No vampire transformed to my capacity except me. I take it it’s because I am the first and older. I don’t know but I know I have only got like this twice. When Robin told me my family died and now. Bella was everything to me, I can’t live without her and it’s not cliché. I literally will drop dead if she was taken from me or leaves me. She’d rip my heart out my chest snapping the veins and squirting the blood that flows to it.

“Baby, my love. I would never leave you, ever. Something is pulling me---” I snatched my head away and she roughly snatched it back to her.

“Andreas! Annabella!” We looked over the hill back towards the house where Duke was calling us. Using our speed, we were in his face in seconds. The smell of human blood hit my nostrils which was fine but for Bella.

  “Ahh!”

“Beauty, don’t” I used my strength to grab her from the woman. “Control Bella, control it.” Duke was guarding the woman and Alicia, Willow, was watching with shocked. Finally, Bella calmed down.

“Who is this and why is she all fucked up?” I asked Duke.

“You’ve never met her, this is Giselle she was attacked. I hurried to her just as the person escaped.” He looked at her. “Tell them what you told me.” She looked at me and Bella.

“He said Robin will rise again.”

“What the fuck!?” Me and Bella said in unison. Giselle was in pain, in need of medical attention but we couldn’t take her to the hospital. Humans would ask questions and we didn’t need that. This shit was bigger than anything a mortal can handle.

“Don’t even fucking think about it.” Bella looked at me and I smirked at how mad she was. She walked over to Giselle and her fangs popped out.

“Don’t be afraid, she won’t hurt you.” Duke said as Bella bit her wrist so she could bleed. I knew she wasn’t about to let me give Giselle my blood to heal her because that would make us connected. Bella couldn’t handle that and we’ve all seen her jealous over me.

“Drink from me and you’ll be fine.”

“No fucking way.” Bella hissed at her and the girl almost jumped out her skin then she started drinking. I arched my eyebrow at Bella because that temper was crazy.

“What? We don’t have time for the settle route.” Once Giselle was done it took her a few minutes before she was well again.

“Oh my goodness, I feel as good as new. Thank you.” Bella nodded her head at her and Giselle walked closer to Bella.

“You look just like her, holy shit.” Looking at me confused and then
back at Giselle, she said.

  “Who do I look like?”

“Tamara. I’ve been studying your family for years, I even went to Haiti. I know that’s why I was attacked tonight.

  “You know about my family?”

“Yes I do.” Smiling at Bella Giselle opened the medium trunk that Duke had showed me earlier. Getting the pictures out she began telling us the entire story. Same story Duke told me but her version was better because it was more detailed.

“Robin killed her own parents?” Bella asked and Giselle answered yes.

“I found out about you today Annabella. The visions you get and the way you can see into people soul. You and your mother are the only people on the planet who have that ability. The Prud’homme family believed in links. Something had to link to something in order for it to make since. When they sacrificed souls for power they figured they would link your mother and her sisters together to protect them. Robin unlinked them and that’s why when Esther, the middle sister, died.

Your mom and Robin didn’t, she knew all these years that your mom was alive. The only reason she never hunted her down was because your mom had pushed her gift deep in her past. Then she had you, Robin knew you would be a threat. You would become the one thing that could beat her. Your good white light mixed with your mom’s blood gave you the upper hand. But then add Andrea’s blood making you immortal, it made you something else.” Giselle picked up the other chest that me and Duke couldn’t open.

“I called my research colleague and she faxed over her notes to me.” Going through some papers that looked to be ruffed up in a folder she pulled out a picture. “I know I was attacked because of this right here.”

“A picture of a key?” I asked and Bella’s eyes got big. She took off upstairs and came back in a second.

“Oh my God, that’s the key to opening this. It’s the story of you Annabella, all of you. Told from your mom.” Bella grabbed my hand and I squeezed it so she could know I was with her, I’ll always be with her.

“What if it’s awful, what if it’s not what I want to know?”

“I told you Beauty, it wouldn’t change anything. But you have to know this.” Nodding her head she put the key inside and turned it open. There was a long aged-looking paper. It was rolled up and worn out, but it had a seal on the front of it. The symbol was the same on our daylight rings. The Prud’homme signature. Bella broke it and rolled it out flat on the able. Duke and I grabbed something to hold the ends down.

“What does this all mean, there’s so many symbols and pictures.”

“I know what they mean.” Bella moved out the way and let Giselle look at it. We were in the grand dining room of our mansion. I put my hands around Bella’s waist so I could comfort her. Duke was leaving Faye a voicemail and Willow looked at Duke while he talked. I knew she still loved him and even though looking at her physical appearance played with your mind. I knew it really was her. She spoke like I remember and watched Duke like a hawk the same way to.

“This symbol is that of the devil, this halo one is light. It’s around your mother Annabella. This one is your auntie Esther. The emptiness is not good, meaning she can be easily manipulated. Robin’s means darkness, since birth.”

“Why does Robin heart seem to be getting bigger?” Bella asked and I wanted to know as well.

“1840.” I knew that date, the year she took everything from me. “Robin became greedy and wanted it all. But evilness doesn’t get to love however Robin didn’t care.” Giselle looked at me and I got a lump in my throat. Bella rubbed my hands that rested around her then she brought them to her lips as Giselle continued. “Robin was supposed to sacrifice to souls in return for the ingredient to make a being. A species that would drop human a notch on the food chain. A slave to the sun and to human blood. A vampire. Because you are all right here I’m sure you all know how that story goes.”

“Two halo’s here are linked together and another halo joins them. That is your mother meeting your father and they have you. This darkness that stays over the halo is Robin watching you and your family. It wasn’t just her love for Andreas that made you a threat. Robin needed to keep the two of you apart because she knew if you were turned what you’d become.”

“Which is?” Duke asked what I’m sure we were all thinking.

“A hybrid.” We were all quiet looking at Giselle. I was speechless because I had never heard of such a thing.

  “What’s a hybrid?”

“A mixture of blood line. You’re a witch Annabella and a vampire, you’re the worst thing for an evil entity as Robin. Immortal, a light and you are from pure love. You can stop her and her son.”

“What the hell?” Duke spoke out loud.

“Robin doesn’t have a son. None of us of the supernatural can make off springs.”

“That’s true but like I said, every deceit of dark magic comes at a price. Robin made a soul sacrifice for a son. That was another thing I was coming to tell Duke before I was attacked.” Giselle started going through her papers again.

“I couldn’t find anything on Robin passed her parents and siblings. So I looked up all her addresses. The woman never stays in a place to long but she stayed in Texas for eighteen-years.” I never knew that because I didn’t keep tabs on Robin. I wanted her as far away from me as possible because I had blamed her for my family’s death. Before Bella revealed to me the truth I had hung on to Robin’s for so long.

“I found a marriage certificate to a George Angelo and Robin Prud. Little bitch shortened her name. That’s why I couldn’t find anything on her. They had a son, Gabe Angelo.”

“Holy fuck! The guy I hired for Spoken, the saxophone player.” I looked at Duke and Bella stepped out my embrace with her hand over her mouth. I looked at her and she had tears in her eyes.

“Is that who the fuck you’re drawn to?!” I was getting angry again. “You said when you fed on him you saw something, what was it?”

“I saw me yelling and crying. Andreas I told you I feel like I’m in a battle with myself. Every time I think I’m drawn to him something pulls me back. Like a tug-a-war with my mind and heart.”

  “Bullshit!”

“No. Andreas she’s not lying.” Giselle said and she ripped a part of Bella’s mother story. “Three spells that Robin reserved for her son to use incase of her death. The soul swapping, trick of the heart and reincarnation.”

  “Trick of the heart?”

“Yes, basically it makes the heart feel duplicate feelings or made up ones. That’s why Annabella feels like she’s in a war with her heart and brain. For some reason it’s like she’s rejecting the spell. Fighting it somehow.” I looked at her and she had sorrow in her eyes looking at me.

“Well we know Willow and Alicia was the soul swapping spell. I did what you said and took her to a place familiar. Her memory came back.” Duke said and we looked at Willow.

“What about the reincarnation one?” I asked pulling Bella to me.

“I don’t know.” Giselle said and Duke called Faye again leaving yet another message. I knew he was going to want her here with us so he can know she was safe.

“Reincarnation. Oh my God, Gabe said Robin will rise again. He’s bringing her back.” Bella admitted to us.

“We can’t let him do that shit, we have to kill him.”

“Yea but where the fuck is he at? He didn’t succeed on killing Giselle, he’s definitely hiding.” Duke said and I was ready. Robin was staying in hell rotting like she’s supposed to.

“Where the fuck did Willow just go?” Bella said that and we all looked around the room. Me and Duke used vamp speed and looking all inside and outside the mansion.

“Nothing, she’s not here.” I yelled from outside.

“I gotta get to Faye, if Robin’s coming back, she will not stop. Giselle, are you scared to stay here? You’ll be safe.”

“Am I scared to stay in a thirty-thousand square foot mansion, um I think the fuck not. I’ll be fine, y’all just be ca
reful.”

“Ok, how do we find Gabe?” I asked.

“I fed on him less then twenty-four hours ago.” Bella said while closing her eyes and a wind blew through her hair. “I see him, he’s standing over black ashes and—” She gasped and put her hand over her mouth with her eyes still closed.

“He’s in a warehouse, downtown.” Her eyes popped open. “He’s using Alicia’s body as a vessel for Robin. We have to move now!”

“Duke you go get Faye and we will stop Gabe.” Duke turned into a wolf and took off. Me and Bella used vamp speed and headed in the opposite direction.

  Annabella

“Are you sure he’s here?” Andreas asked me as we arrived to what I thought in my vision was a warehouse. Turns out it’s an abandon four story building. Thing is, it looks like not a soul was inside. No cars, no lights or even talking.

“Yes, I’m sure. I know he’s in there, I can feel him.” Andreas nostrils enlarged and I knew that made him angry and jealous.

“Hey, stop. We are stopping this and breaking any damn curse put on me from him.” I rubbed the side of his face.

“I’ll go in from the front and---”

“No! No! Are you crazy, we are not splitting up.” I began to panic. Hearing Giselle tell me all about my family and what I really am is beyond me. Hearing Robin has a son and how far he has gone to avenge her death. It all made my world even more wild and not in a good way. Truth is, I was terrified. For Andreas, Faye, Duke and myself. Even in death we can’t get rid of Robin and it felt like my mom died for nothing.

“Bella this is a four-story building. We need to be able to sneak attack him if we have to. He is not bringing that bitch back to life.” I heard him but I didn’t hear him. I don’t want us to split up and nothing he could say would convince me. He pulled me to him and kissed me deep.

“We are leaving this building alive and with two dead bodies. I promise Beauty.” Kissing me again he said. “I love you.”

“I love you too.” With watery eyes I watched him go inside the building and I used my vamp speed to get to the top of the building. There was an emergency door on top that led you inside. It wasn’t unlocked but this newly vampire strength had me able to break the lock. I heard chanting in a native language. I got to the steps and decided to start at the top floor. Opening it I heard the chanting louder, but I still saw no one.
