Hang Em' Up: A Bad Boy Sports Pregnancy Romance

It would be a time of pure joy, and to be honest she was looking forward to it. She hadn’t grown up in El Paso, it was her mother’s hometown. Seven years prior, she found the people with infectious spirits. When she found out they lived alongside the supernatural, she loved the place even more. The sense of danger and adventure, whichever it was, she enjoyed the thrill.
She met the alphas for the first time, unsure how effective banning inter - mating had been. She assumed that it had not been very effective. The only way to know if a wolf took a human became pregnant or a jealous soul informed leadership. In those cases, the wolves dispatched the informer before the news became an issue.
She saw no problem with the alliance, both parties consented. The short time it took her to walk halfway to the bar, she could feel the sweat pooling under her arms. She decided that it’d be better to go home. She enjoyed the fresh air that blew through her home on the side of the hill. The festivities would start that night. She could enjoy them in the cool of the night and stay home the following day.
That sounded like a plan, and as she walked back to where she’d parked her car. She thought again of the men, rumored to be in a relationship with each other. The thought was wildly appealing and she could just imagine them having sex, fireworks of an epic proportion taking place.
She could feel the stirrings in her groin and was reminded of how long it had been. It had been close to a year and she was feeling like she had all but gone and re-virginized herself. The sexual frustration that rose to the front of her mind made her a bit pissy. She turned her car in frustration back to the house. She designed and built the gorgeous house that lacked the life she’d thought it would bring.
Jared watched as Skyler walked in the direction of the pub, then headed back to her car. He was seated in the shade of his favorite lunch spot, they served the best lemonades. He thought he’d invite her over for a refreshing drink away from the heat. But the Sheriff had been following her, at a discrete distance. He would’ve loved to rip the head off the aging bald man that was to be the law. He valued diplomacy as opposed to the tiring feat of cleaning up messes made amidst senseless anger.
He watched as the Sheriff pulled a uniform aside and pointed to Skyler’s vehicle while she drove out. The man got on his bike and followed her car out of the town. Jared sent a message to Meekel about what he had seen, before leaving a handsome tip for his favorite waitress. He pulled out to follow the policeman after the Sheriff turned back in the direction he came from.
Humans always seemed up to no good. Since living there with the Faction, Jared found that they’d do anything to anyone who threatened their overly inflated sense of autocracy. The last human who’d joined the Faction was found at the bottom of the Rio Grande with his throat slit and a block weighing his body down. It was Meekel who found him after curiosity made him look for the man. His only sin was he stood for the same point Skyler did, his greed.
His phone rang as he drove and he answered without looking to see who it was,
“Jared,” he said.
The police officer took the left turn up ahead while Skyler took the right,
“Baby,” Meekel said,
“Don’t get caught up in another war between the humans.”
“I don’t think this is a war. I might be wrong though because the police just turned the other way.”
A twig breaking underfoot came through the speakers and he instantly knew Meekel had been running through the forest alongside him,
“Go after the cop! I will make sure the woman gets home safely.”
Jared turned his car to follow the policeman, but as he turned the corner, his suspicions were confirmed. The policeman was turning his bike onto a trail that would bring him back to the east where there were houses on the hill. He drove past the trail and parked his car on the side of the road, around the corner and out of sight before turning into the woods.
He welcomed the cool breeze wafting from the trees overhead and with it came the scent of perspiration. Jared shifted his face, his wolf’s nose could lead him to the man he sought. He lightly ran towards the scent without making so much as an audible rustle through the undergrowth. That was the part of being a wolf that he loved most, running through the bushes.
The animal he held under lock and key felt free. For him, that was pure joy and bliss. He heard the footsteps up head and slowed as he saw the policeman walking slowly to the outline of the ridge. It would give him a bird’s eye view of the houses across the way. Jared hated the sense of perversion that came with that type of stalking, it was the cowardice way of doing it.
He felt no shame, he hid in the tree line and watched as the man did what he assumed he would. He took a sniper pistol that was expertly hidden beneath the camping roll attached to the side of the bike. He watched as the man set his rifle up.
He laid on his stomach and pointed it at the house Jared had fleetingly admired a few years before. Shifting his eyes, he looked across the way to see the Skyler’s car pull into the driveway and he knew instantly the order the man had been given.
“What do we have here?” he said.
He stepped from the cover of the trees and left his face half wolf half human. The man’s response was to turn on his back and quickly point the rifle at the uninvited guest.
Jared laughed,
“There is such irony in the hunter becoming the hunted. I think maybe I should write a book about it. It seems to happen in those parts with alarming frequency.”
The man’s menacing fuck off stare changed to fear as his Adam’s apple worked at the sight of the claws extending from Jared’s fingertips and the fangs that came out under his lips,
“I got my orders!”
“And what, pray tell, were those?” Jared asked.
He took slow, deliberate steps towards the man dashed off down the ravine, hoping to survive. The grip he held on the rifle spoke of ex-military training and Jared had his reservations about ripping his head off,
“Sheriff said that woman had been with wolves, and we all know the punishment for that.”
Jared’s anger rose at the blatant lie to further his own means. He couldn’t be sure himself if Skyler had actually done it. He moved quick to put a bullet in the chamber of his gun. He grabbed it from him, slapping him across the side of his head while he did. As he looked at the unconscious body, he knew Skyler had managed to move herself to the top of the list.
If the officer didn’t complete the task he was given, another would be sent in his place. He did the one thing he could do.
Chapter 3
Skyler took a beer from her fridge and walked barefoot to the patio that was shielded from the sun. The sun was going down and soon she’d put on her clothes and head out to the beginning of the two-day festivities.
A shriek escaped her lips as soon as she opened her French doors. The battle would have fallen to the ground and shattered had a hand not shot out to catch it as it fell. Before she saw the glowing red eyes of the alpha known as Jared. She liked his ability to string words together when she heard him talk earlier that day. He looked like a tall glass of danger and he was standing on her patio uninvited. Not good!
Her feet told her to run, but her body didn’t move even an inch. She had a feeling she wouldn’t have been able to run away. The hand that shot forward to catch her beer belonged to the gorgeous shirtless body of the green glowing eyes of murder waiting to happen.
“Wh ……. What are you doing here?” she stuttered.
She was trying not to sound like they scared her out of her mind but she’d just been caught by surprise. The red eyes in front of her stepped forward. She could see the dangerous claws extended and the half wolf- half human face whose fangs were a hint to the death she could soon be given. But even then she found the monster before her gorgeous.
“You have gone and gotten yourself into a bit of a bind,” the one named Jared spoke.
His claws disappeared as he stepped to the side and a unif
ormed officer had been standing perfectly still behind the wolf when he came into view. She should’ve felt relief wash over her, but instead it was suspicion that she felt.
“He was sent to kill you,” Meekel spoke.
He was behind her, his green eyes flashing with anger and Skyler felt oddly protected.
“Have you consorted with wolves?” Jared asked.
The red that returned to his eyes seemed to be preparing to unleash hell if she gave the wrong answer. She knew he’d been diplomatic, but she’d never assume that he gave a rat’s ass about the law itself,
“Consorted with wolves?” he raised it to his lips,
“Trust me! If I’d been consorting with anybody at all, I would feel a whole lot better about life.”
She took a swig from the beer and sat down propping her feet up on the table in front of her. She saw the amusement, dance in the green eyes beside her. Jared turned back to the policeman as if thinking about what should be his fate. Skyler briefly thought about shoving him over the railing to his death. He’d fallen down on the jagged rocks below.
“Who sent him to kill me?” she asked instead, knowing the answer before it came.
“The law gave me the order earlier today,” the man responded.
Skyler clutched the beer bottle tighter. She was warned by Pastor Jacob about a short fuse and his fondness of killing people who disagreed with him. She’d been under the impression that the disagreement was of a graver nature. It wasn’t something as petty as her pointing out what his job description actually was,
“He told you to make it look like the wolves did it, didn’t he?” she asked the man in front of her.
His shocked look answered in the affirmative, but both the wolves on her patio were more interested in the answer to that question. When the man nodded they both growled and the unease, she felt originally had been replaced by fear.
“Gentlemen,” she called to them,
“Don’t kill the messenger! If you must, can you do it elsewhere? Please,” she added when they didn’t seem to hear her.
She looked at Meekel whose muscles flexed under his skin and could imagine running her fingers over the contours of the roped abs he sported. His lips were slightly puckered belying a bit of his African ethnicity. She had a vision of her hands buried in his black hair while his tongue did wild immoral things to the treasure between her legs.
He caught her eyes and she quickly averted them, but they fell on Jared whose tailored pants clung perfectly to his ass and she could do nothing more than imagine him plunging into her while her nails dug into his firm ass begging him to give her more.
This is what lack of sex does to you, she thought to herself. She was almost killed for consorting with wolves and yet she was there envisioning doing just that. She felt despondent, hopelessly drawn to the men who were forbidden to her. She wouldn’t mind watching them devour each other in some erotic display for her even if she could imbibe in the pleasure she was sure they could offer her.
“Go back to your Sheriff and tell him we know what he did,” Jared ordered the man,
“In the meantime,” he turned to Skyler, who raised a brow at him,
“You’re far from safe here, so I think you should stay with the pastor because Sheriff Dobson will send someone else to kill you.”
“I will not be made to run into hiding from my own house,” she was annoyingly defiantly to Jared’s,
“I did nothing wrong and my bed is far more comfortable than any other option I have at this point, so tell the Sheriff to bring it or stick it.”
Behind her, she heard a silent chuckle and though she felt less than amused she was happy the wolves hadn’t actually arrived to kill her,
“You cannot stay here alone,” Meekel said flatly behind her.
“Well, you gents are welcomed to offer me protection or you can send the cavalry, but I am not leaving the comfort of my own home,” she professed.
The look the wolves exchanged was one of silent communication and she wondered if the rumors about them reading minds were actually true,
“I will be back,” Jared hauled him by his collar through the house,
“I am taking your car!” he hollered.
Meekel hopped on the edge of her railing. She could’ve sworn he was about to topple right over the edge, his face transformed to that of a wolf. She couldn’t help but admire his midnight gray coat that covered his face and forearms.
He threw his head back and howled. It was a long wailing sound that she instinctively knew was a warning to be on the lookout. As the wooded area around her erupted with, she thought it was a lovely late evening choral and the sight of him shadowed against the darkening sky was nothing but,
“Beautiful,” the word escaped her lips.
His green eyes fell on her and mirrored the lust she felt for him. He walked over to her and pulled her up from her seat, no words to ask permission necessary,
“You see my demon and call me beautiful. You are either a rare gem or a silly groupie,”
“Or a bit of both,” she countered.
She enjoyed the smile that flashed across his face,
“And we all are demons, we all have them locked away inside of us. Some of us just embrace ours more willingly than others.”
She allowed him to pull her into him and their groins collided. She could feel his reaction to her, there was no mistaking the green in his eyes. It wasn’t jealousy, anger or danger it was lust. His lips close to hers, as the fire licked at the edge of the pants, she wore she couldn’t breathe.
She had no idea how any woman or man could resist the heat he put off. She wasn’t so sure she wanted to find out. His lips dipped to the sensitive skin on her neck and she tilted her head to accommodate him. His fangs still protruded, nipped at her skin, the pain it brought was nothing but pleasure.
She felt her earlier vision coming true as her fingers spread across his bare chest. She could do nothing but breathe him in. His lips moved up to her cheek, his horny hands lowered to gently squeeze her curvaceous ass. She’d put thin summer shorts and an equally thin top, the heat came from him.
He squeezed her into him and his erection came to rest against the crook of her thigh, pulsating and inviting. His tongue traced the outline of her lips and she tasted him, enjoying the masculinity of his grip. Her hands moved down over his chest, curving around to his back. She positioned the heel of her palms over the rise of the firm ass he had. She breathed in his mouth and squeezed his sensual butt in her hands.
The desire that burnt through her veins threatened to make her weak in the knees. She was pinned against the railing. His fingers found their way beneath the fabric of her shirt and to her nipples. She hadn’t bothered to confine them with an unforgiving fabric bra.
He squeezed and she wondered if he could indeed read her mind. The thing she loved most about foreplay was the sweet pain that shot pleasure straight to her clitoris when her nipple was abused.
She broke the kiss and moaned out loud, opening her legs so his erection rested against her clitoris. He pulled her top up to expose her breasts to the cool night air, he lowered his lips and sucked her nipples into his mouth. Her nails dug into his back scraping the skin as she moved her ass back and forth rubbing her clitoris against his hardened cock.
“Consorting with wolves is a crime punishable by death,” he whispered in her ear.
Only moments later as he slowly slipped her shorts down over her legs, she said.
“If this is how I die then it will almost be worth it,” she believed against his lips.
She lowered the elastic waist of his pants to free his erection. It slapped against his abdomen and she took it into her hands as she stepped out of her shorts. She had not bothered to put any underwear on and was happy he had one less thing to fight with before he gave her what her body longed for.
His warm palms again slipped over her ass to squeeze them as he easily lifted her to sit on the railing. Below her, the ravine was cover
ed in darkness, beckoning her. She thought falling to her death in the middle of an orgasm was well worth the ride.
“Started the party without me?” Jared walked back to the patio and she smiled.
“Now,” she said looking at the green eyes that gazed back at her,
“It is completely worth it.”
Meekel’s face registered the gravity of what she said. He stepped between her legs and positioned his cock at her entrance, he looked towards Jared. The other wolf walked up to them taking his shirt off as he came and kissed his lover deeply and passionately. Meekel moved his ass back and forth rubbing the length of his cock against the wet, dripping heat of her. She thought she was about to explode at the seams, but she held on longer.
Her hands reached down to stroke the erection Jared sported and he helped her by slipping his pants off his waist. He directed her fingers to grip and stroke him. Meekel took that moment to enter her in one swift hard stroke and the pleasure of it caused her to scream out, a primal sound absorbed by Jared’s lips that closed over hers.
He pumped his cock in her palms as Meekel thrust into her. She could think of nothing but the men ravishing her body. The consequences of their actions, forgotten in the heat of passion. It emanated around them and she could do nothing but focus on where the Meekel was joined to her.
Jared’s lips closed over her breast as he sucked softly and erotically, snaking his tongue out to drive her wild. Then without notice he was gone. She sought to protest his absence, but the climax built deep in her from. The feel of Meekel stretching her and pounding into her was too much to focus on the words that might bring Jared back.
She opened her eyes to see him step behind Meekel whose thrust slowed, driving her mad. She felt Meekel pull out of her and as his ass went back, Jared’s head fell back and his eyes closed with his entry.
Skyler had never seen anything as erotic as that before and when Jared’s hands reached forward, taking the form of her nipples, he squeezed them. He took one hard plunge into Meekel sending him thrusting into her and the climax that had been building could no longer be contained.
