I lay back as he finished stripping me and moved to work on his clothes. I watched him strip, feeling my blood heat at the thought of what was to come. He crawled up the bed the look in his eyes making me bite my lip. He paused at the juncture of my hips, taking hold of my thighs and pushing them wide and back. “ Hold them” my hands shot down to my ankles, and thanking God I was flexible, I grabbed them and held them against the back of my thighs. This brought my hips up and forward and also out my folds on display. He lowered his mouth and hovered right above my clit. I hissed out a breath as he opened his mouth and licked me with the flat of his tongue. Starting at the bottom of my lips he licked me from bottom to top over and over until I was straining against him.
Sealing his mouth over my clit, he started giving me fast flicks with his pointed tongue. Catching hold of my hips he tilted me further up as I panted, my cries loud in the room. He pushed me over the edge as he flattened his tongue again so on the next lick the ridges went directly where I needed it most. Thighs shaking I came hard, screaming his name. Turning his head he struck fast, sinking his teeth into my inner thigh and pushing me to new heights. Sobbing incoherently I didn't know whether I wanted to push closer or away, the pleasure to intense.
He got up on his knees and flipped me over. He raised my hips and entered me roughly as I got up onto my elbows. “Fffuuuccckkk” I moaned as he reached a new spot inside me that had me clutching the pillow tight. “There?” He panted holding my hips tightly and going over that spot faster. “Oh God!” I cried out pushing back into his thrusts as I came again.His thrusts slowed as I came down and then stopped. Turning me back over he lifted my hands and placed them around his neck as he entered me again.
Settling his lips against mine he kissed me deeply as he moved slowly. He cupped my breast in his hand and pinched my nipple between his thumb and forefinger. I started panting climbing the peak again, my nails raking down his back as his thrusts sped up and he started to pound into me. I opened my mouth wide and screamed. Leaning down he sunk his teeth into my breast as I clamped down on him the pleasure leaving me senseless.
I stirred later something waking me. I felt a presence in the back of mind. It felt a little weird, but had me more curious than worried. I remembered Kale saying that we would be able to speak mind to mind once bonded. Feeling hesitant I mentally said hello?
Mia? I heard Kale's voice instantly Ke’Ola are you ok? You've been asleep for awhile, I was worried.
I'm fine I looked next to me but could already tell he wasn't in the room where are you?
I'm making you my other specialty, toasted peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I figured you would be hungry when you awoke.
Thank you I am. I stretched and turned over, snuggling his pillow close So what happens now? I could feel him moving closer as he thought Now we eat and enjoy a few days off as we celebrate our bonding. Then I will introduce you to the Hale this weekend and we begin the rest of our lives together. He entered the room and moved towards the bed smiling and set down our plates on the nightstand.
Slipping his hand behind my head he kissed me warmly. Pulling back he said “ Not only are you now bonded to me, you are now the Pilia to my Lakai.” I sighed and said jokingly “ If that means what I think it does, is it too late to back out now?” Moving to cover my body with his he purred “Oh yes Ke’Ola, much too late” I'm sure life together with him will have its ups and downs, every relationship did. But I knew that we could build something beautiful together. Taking a deep breath I whispered “I love you”. It started in his eyes and moved down to his mouth, a smile so bright and joy filled I couldn't help smiling in return. “ And I adore you my Ke'Ola”.
EPILOGUE
I held Kale's hand as we drove out to meet with his hale. “How many are in your hale?” I asked I wore a brave face but inside I was nervous. If Kale was the leader then that meant I would play an active role in his hale. I was worried that some wouldn't be happy he had matured with a human. I was also worried I would commit some Selkrian faux pas that would offend someone. “Well some are scattered throughout the state but there are about 100 living near the LaKai’s house. We own a very large community in this area and have been living here since we first came to earth”
“Wow that's more than I thought it would be.” I sighed as we pulled up to a high gate and Kale punched in a code that had the gates swinging open. “Don't worry” he squeezed my hand reassuringly “they will love you and I will be right by your side” I smiled at him and looked out the window to take in my first look. The driveway we were on ended in a circular drive that was in front of a large house. The house was two stories and looked extravagant, made from red pine wood with granite accents.It had large windows big enough to allow for a lot of natural light to come in. The wraparound porch boasted several comfortable looking chairs and a few scattered tables. The house itself was surrounded by a well maintained lawn that had several flower patches here and there, and off to the side looked to be a fairly big garden. To the right side I could see another road leading to rows of houses which I assumed was where the other members of the hale lived.
I looked back at him impressed by the very scenic picture, I opened my mouth but then snapped it closed as I noticed the large crowd standing in front of the LaKai’s home. “Tell me you didn't assemble a welcoming committee!” I gasped. He had the audacity to laugh and I turned my head and speared him with a look. He muffled his laugh and said “ I am sorry dear heart, but your friend suggested this would be better than meeting everyone one by one. She said it would be like ripping off a bandaid.” That traitor I spotted her at the front of the crowd a wide mischievous smile on her face. As we parked and got out of the car she came walking up to us and held her arms open wide “Mia!” I hugged her but hissed in her ear “Payback is a bitch on her period that is out of chocolate, be very afraid”
She laughed and leaning back pinched me on the cheek “ It just makes me so happy to see my bff living her best life!” she pretended to wipe a tear “ I taught you so well!” I rolled my eyes and laughed along with her. Taking Kale’s hand with my bestie at my side I walked towards my future, smiling the whole way.

I remember my mama telling me those words. It's what she told me when I was leaving for college. I'd been feeling guilty about moving away and not getting a job at the local diner so i can stay and take care of her. My mama was fiercely independent but the cancer had been just as fierce, taking a heavy toll on her body. Even though it had been in remission and she had a really kind and competent live in nurse, I still hadn't wanted to leave her.
I did though, I wanted to be the first Nyx to earn a college degree, to leave that small town and make something of myself. I told my mama I'd earn a fancy degree she could brag to all her friends about. God she looked so damn happy as i drove away, so damn proud , like i hung the moon and the stars.I vowed at that moment I'd earn a fancy degree, that I'd live up to that pride in her eyes. Even when aliens declared they were among us, it didn't stop me from earning a 4.0 GPA at college, didn't stop me from going as hard as i could those 4 years to be the best and brightest in my class.
I just hadn't planned on the cancer coming back, on it spreading so fast and far that by the time we knew it was too late. I never counted on mama being gone.
