What Remains: Untainted

He drew her hair away from one side of her neck. “Tell us what we want to hear. Tell us you won’t put your ass in danger.”

She glanced back at him across her shoulder. “But Colby’s life…”

Her words keened into a wail as he landed another smack with Darcy’s fingers still deep inside her. Barrett felt her body quiver, and he knew she was close.

Darcy groaned, pumping his hand against her. “Damn. I can feel your pussy contracting. You’re close, aren’t you?”

Her breath rasped out, and her body shook again. “Yes, so please just make me come.”

Barrett bent low over her back. “Then tell us you won’t put your ass in danger.”

“I won’t put my ass in danger if you fucking make me come!”

Barrett chuckled. “We’ll have to work on your submission skills a bit, love, but I’ll let it go this time. Fine.”

He nodded at Darcy then grabbed her under her arms, swinging her up as he draped her legs over his, opening her wide to Darcy and Colby’s gaze. She stiffened then let her head loll onto his shoulder as Darcy moved in front of her, grazing his finger through her slit.

  “Yes. God, right there.”

Darcy chuckled. “Think I’ll use my tongue.”

Abby practically arched out of Barrett’s arms as Darcy wedged his head between her thighs, the wet sounds of his mouth on her clit driving Barrett wild. He wrapped one arm around her waist, holding her firmly in place as Darcy hummed in pleasure, the raspy sound sending her over the edge. She screamed Darcy’s name, jerking against his mouth as she spasmed in Barrett’s arms, her back pressing into his chest before she collapsed against him, small shudders still trembling through her.

Darcy eased away, licking his lips as he stood, moving to the side to give Barrett room to stand. Barrett gathered her in his arms, lifting her up and carrying her to the mattress beside Colby. The man brushed his hand along her arm, obviously eager to be more than just an observer as Barrett released her long enough to shed his pants. Then he took Abby with him to the bed, straddling her over his body as he reclined beside Colby. Her eyelids fluttered open, the glassy look in them sending a surge of need coursing through him.

He cupped her jaw, caressing her cheek with his thumb. “If you’re too tired, we’ll understand. As a matter of fact, we should insist you—”

She silenced him with a kiss, ravaging his mouth before going to her knees and brushing her pussy across his cock. Hot, wet juice slipped along his shaft, making it bob upward. Abby moaned and tilted her hips, sinking the head inside her. Barrett groaned and palmed her hips, holding her still as he thrust up from below, burying himself deep. Abby’s head lolled back, her breasts pointing directly at him. He levered up, snagging the nipple closest to him and sucking it into his mouth.

  “Yes.”

She drew the word out, ending it with a sharp breath when Darcy moved in behind her, cupping her breasts and tweaking the one Barrett had neglected. She writhed between them, her groin pressed into his, her sex impaled on his cock. Her increased breath mixed with his as she surged into another climax, her voice rising into a wail.

Barrett watched her orgasm, his heart racing, his body strung tight. “Damn, you’re so fucking beautiful when you come. Let’s do it again.”

Her gaze clashed with his, and he damn near came. Her eyes were heavy-lidded, her mouth curled into a satisfied grin. She bent over him, presenting her ass to Darcy as she gave Barrett a soul-searing kiss, ending it with a peck on his nose.

Then she turned to Colby, raising her eyebrow at him. “You feel well enough to scoot closer or are you happy just to watch?”

He inched nearer, reaching for her face. “You don’t always have to be there for all of us, sweetheart. It’s not a competition.”

She gave him a sultry smile. “Then it won’t be a race to get you off when you put your cock in my mouth.”

The vein in Colby’s temple pulsed. Then he was moving, bracing himself on Darcy’s shoulder so she could reach his shaft. She raised her hand, scratching her nails down the length of his cock, squeezing the head before moving back up and cupping his balls. Colby growled, thrusting his hips forward, placing the crown at her lips. She held him steady with her hand, lapping at the fluid beading on the tip, making Colby wait until the man twisted her hair in his other hand, giving it a firm tug.

Abby glanced at Barrett, granting him a wink before parting her lips and taking Colby completely inside her. Colby groaned, the sentiment echoed by Barrett as he drew his hips back, pausing before pumping up, hilting himself inside her again.

He grunted, loving how her channel gave around him, hugging him tight. “God. You feel so good. I suggest you act quickly, Darcy. I won’t last long.”

Darcy palmed Abby’s back, helping her shift enough she could still suck on Colby while baring her ass to him. He smoothed one hand down her spine as the other disappeared behind her, a tube of lubricant fisted between his fingers. Abby gasped then sighed, working Colby’s shaft before Darcy pulled her ass cheeks apart and pressed his hips forward. Barrett heard Abby suck in another breath around Colby’s cock a heartbeat before he felt Darcy inch his way inside her ass, every thrust giving Barrett a ghosted feel of his own penetration. He gritted his teeth, doing his best to hold off the fiery sensation burning a path down his shaft and swirling into his sac, praying the man hurried before he lost his load after nothing more than a couple of quick strokes.

Abby’s back arched, and she closed her eyes, looking as if she was doubling her efforts to take Colby over the edge, though judging by the way the man squeezed his eyes shut as he clenched his fingers around strands of Abby’s hair told Barrett the guy wasn’t far off already.

Barrett inhaled, hissing out the breath when Darcy finally bottomed out, the pressure along Barrett’s cock enough to make him growl. He glanced at Darcy over Abby’s shoulder, an unspoken understanding passing between them. Barrett moved first, holding Abby’s hips up as he slowly pulled out, teasing her with a few short jabs before sinking back in, the increasing clasp around his cock making him grunt. Darcy copied his motion, thrusting back in with a hard strong stroke.

Abby whimpered around Colby’s cock, pumping his shaft, allowing Colby to move with her. Barrett couldn’t help but watch the other man give himself over to their lover, his head tilting back as his body stiffened, a hoarse moan ringing through the room as he jerked against Abby’s mouth, his body convulsing. She kept moving, swallowing a few more times before allowing the man’s shaft to slip from her mouth. She gave the tip a kiss, leaning into him when he collapsed beside her and took her lips in his.

The mere sight of the four of them entwined pushed Barrett over the edge. He gave Darcy a guarded nod as a warning before pressing his chin into his chest as he barreled into Abby’s pussy, taking her with firm, steady strokes. The incessant rhythm seemed to set Darcy off, and the man yelled Abby’s name, his body a constant blur beyond her shoulder. Abby writhed between them, one hand balanced on Barrett’s chest while the other rested on Colby’s shoulders. The man helped keep her aligned as Darcy and Barrett pounded into her, the combined chorus of their voices rising around them.

Fire flared through Barrett’s sac, and he surrendered, dropping his head to the mattress as he pushed into Abby one last time, his climax sending an array of colored dots across his vision. Darcy’s shout followed his, and Barrett felt the man’s shaft thicken then pulse, the shadowed feeling triggering another release. His hands tightened around her waist, and he welcomed her added weight when she collapsed onto him, her head tucked in the crook of her shoulder, her breath feathering across his skin.

He dragged in a series of quick breaths, stroking her back as his body slowly eased, the numbing feeling swirling through his balls finally fading. He managed to wrap his arms around Abby’s small frame, content to have her spend the next few hours sleeping on top of him. Darcy pulled free, dropping kisses along her spine before falling onto the mattress beside Col
by.

Darcy trailed his fingers through Abby’s hair, ending with a brush along her shoulder. “Do you want me to start the shower, darling, or will a quick cloth do until you’ve gotten some sleep?”

Abby mumbled something cryptic, snugging more into Barrett’s shoulder.

Darcy laughed, grabbing some blankets from the far mattress and draping it over them before handing one to Colby. Then he fetched a wet cloth, gently cleaning Abby’s thighs and groin before settling down beside her. The other men whispered words of love, the silence soon filled with the steady rustle of their breath. Barrett smiled, murmuring his own declaration before closing his eyes and drifting into the darkness.

  Chapter Twelve

Abby stood on the outside balcony, pressing her back into the wall as she watched the Gray stumble around the pavement below, the constant background noise of their feet against the asphalt and their wheezing breath playing through her head. They’d had to wait another four days before their numbers had decreased enough that Colby deemed it safe to try an escape. Barrett had insisted on choosing her weapons again, claiming she needed enough firepower to keep her safe but not so much she couldn’t move freely. He’d offhandedly remarked on her agility then shook his finger at her to remind not to do anything dangerous.

She smiled at the thought, still stunned that in just under two weeks, she’d gone from being completely alone to having three men invested in her well being, doing everything they could to see to both her physical and emotional needs. Their capacity to love humbled her, and she hoped she’d showed them the extent of hers.

A hand closed over her shoulder, and she turned, staring into Colby’s deep, brown eyes. Though he’d insisted he was fine, she could tell his body wasn’t quite up to par, the lines around his eyes slightly deeper than usual.

She grazed her fingers along his jaw, giving him a warm smile. “Are you sure you’re up for this? I don’t mind waiting another day or two if you need more time.”

He leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on her mouth. “That’s very sweet of you, but the lads and I won’t truly relax until we have you safely back at the compound.” He held up his hand, stopping her from speaking. “I know. You’re more than capable of handling yourself, but humor us, sweetheart. This is all new territory for us—zombies or not, we never thought we’d ever love someone the way we do you, and it’s going to take a few years or twenty to get it through our thick skulls that you’re more than self-sufficient. Hell, if you don’t need us to watch your back, we’re not sure why you’d even want to keep us around.”

Her heart clenched, and she moved into his arms, molding her body to his as he held her close. She listened to the steady beat of his heart, the slightly increased rhythm matching hers. Did they really think her feelings were tied to their ability to protect her?

She kissed his neck, dragging his gaze to hers with a single finger. “There are a million reasons why I love the three of you, the least of which is because you have my back. So in case I haven’t made it crystal clear, I’m in this for the long run, zombies or not. You three are my heart and my soul. My reason for fighting. So stop worrying that I’ll ever change my mind because I could search the four corners of the Earth and never find three men who believe in me and leave me breathless the way you, Darcy and Barrett do.” She brushed her lips across his. “I love you. All three of you. Can’t make it any simpler than that.”

Colby’s jaw flexed as his lips came down hard on hers, the intensity of his kiss making her legs buckle. She allowed him to shoulder some of her weight, enjoying the purity of the moment before he pulled back, giving her one final brush of his thumb before his arms dropped to his sides. He turned and stared at the landscape, looking as if he was surveying the area, but she didn’t miss the way his throat bobbed as he swallowed noisily or how his eyes gleamed in the waning light.

She stepped closer, placing her hand on his back when Barrett and Darcy walked through the door, dressed in cargo pants with matching jackets. They looked like they had that first day they’d stormed into her life, and she found herself staring at them, secretly wondering if it’d all been a dream but knowing that if it was, she never wanted to wake up. The two men stopped short, giving each other a confused gaze before snagging her arm and dragging her between them. Darcy’s arms closed around her as Barrett pressed his chest against her back, his lips seeking out the sensitive spot at the bottom of her neck. She sighed, content just to let them hold her when Darcy lifted her face with his hand.

His eyes studied hers as he gave her a boyish smile. “You okay?”

She nodded, reaching one hand behind her to give Barrett a squeeze. “Fine.”

Darcy frowned. “You sure, because you looked like you were about to cry.”

“I’m sure, it’s just…the way you guys are dressed, the expression on your faces. It made me think of the first time I met you, and I guess I felt a bit nostalgic.” She chuckled. “Of all the possibilities, I can assure you that I never dreamed it’d turn out this way.”

Barrett nipped at her ear, smiling at her reaction. “Should we be thrilled or alarmed at the outcome?”

She swatted at him, reluctantly stepping out of the embrace. “I’m hoping for thrilled.”

Barrett flashed a devilish grin. “Then we’re on the same page.” He pointed at her weapons. “Are you comfortable with all of those and carrying that damn bag full of medical supplies, or will it be too much?”

“I’ll be fine. And with any luck, we won’t have to do more than run.”

Barrett nodded, though the firm set of his jaw and the way his gaze darted to the mass of undead moving around below spoke volumes. He gave Colby a slap on the shoulder. “You ready?”

Colby cleared his throat then turned. “As I’ll ever be. Are the bags packed?”

Barrett glanced at Darcy, and something unspoken passed between them. “We were able to pair it down to just two.”

Colby crossed his arms on his chest, eyeing both men with his lips pulled tight. “Despite my recent brush with death, I’m more than capable of carrying my share…and yours too if needed.”

Darcy stepped forward, copying the man’s stance. “And we’re just as damn stubborn, so for once, don’t argue with us. Besides, someone has to go up first so we can pass the bags up, and you’re the fastest climber.” He paused, winking at her. “Well, Abby might give you a run for your money based on all I’ve seen, but…”

She shook her head. “But god forbid I go up first. Just in case one of the Gray has learned to climb and is waiting for me.”

Colby gave her a smug grin. “Exactly. And we’re pleased you’re finally starting to see things our way.” He motioned back inside. “I think Darcy’s right about going out the window again. While the ladder’s more of a direct route, I don’t think we’ll fair well in terms of secrecy with the bags slung across our backs, not to mention having our asses hanging out in the open.” He glanced at her. “I know how badass you are, but perhaps this one time, you can tame it slightly…pretend that seeing you hang by one arm while ninja-kicking zombies with your feet might cause me to have a sudden relapse.”

She resisted rolling her eyes as she pressed her body tight against his. “Don’t be silly. I prefer to hang from two arms.”

He swatted her ass, following her inside as they checked their supplies one last time, then headed down the stairs. Darcy wedged open the window, scanning the area, signaling the other men before jumping up and out the window. A soft thud sounded from beyond the wall as Barrett went next, stuffing the bags through then repeating Darcy’s maneuver and disappearing from view. Colby tapped her on the shoulder, and she climbed up, taking one more look around the room, suddenly realizing that she’d never actually believed she’d ever leave. That there’d be anywhere else let to go. Her gaze dropped to Colby.

He frowned, stepping up beside her. “Are you certain you’re okay?”

  “Thank you.”

  His brow furrowed. “For
what?”

“For giving me back my humanity.”

The muscle in his jaw flexed as he sighed, trailing his finger down her cheek. “It was you who did that for us. Now get your ass out that window and keep it glued to my side, sweetheart.”

She smiled, slipping through the window and onto the top of the truck. She scooted out of the way, crouching beside Barrett as Colby dropped down, searching both directions before leaping to the ground. He motioned to Darcy, catching each bag the man tossed at him, placing them off to his left. Then he beckoned to her, grabbing her torso and easing her to the ground as she vaulted off the vehicle. Barrett and Darcy landed beside them, both grabbing a bag and slinging it across one shoulder. Colby reached for her bag, but she snagged one strap, giving him a hardened look. He mumbled something under his breath but nodded, stalking to the corner of the tower. He peeked out, finally waving at them to move.

Colby led the way as Abby fell in behind him, her heart jackhammering in her chest, her throat suddenly parched. Though she’d run across this stretch of pavement more times than she could remember, today felt different.

She glanced at the men by her side, realizing it wasn’t the day that was different—it was her. Them. After so much time alone, she’d forgotten how it felt to have others depend on her. To have faith she’d have their backs.

The thought sobered her, and she tried not to worry when Barrett and Darcy veered off, striking at the first wave of Gray that drew close. Colby motioned for her to keep moving as he ran past the building they’d snuck through that first time, heading for the fence she’d vaulted the day they’d met. A few shots echoed behind her, and she glanced over her shoulder, relieved when Barrett and Darcy sprinted toward them, closing the distance quicker than she’d thought possible.

Darcy ran up beside them as they reached the far edge of the first building. “We’ve got a pretty big contingent moving in behind. Might be wiser to go up now while we can limit their numbers in the alleyway between buildings. That or travel inside.”
