“I’m yours. Forever, okay?”
“Forever?” His voice cracked, but then he smiled, the biggest grin Michelle had ever seen. “The way you said it makes the word sound like angel’s bells.”
“I love you.” He unzipped her jumpsuit and slid it from her shoulders.
“I love you. I adore you.”
They made love three times. The first like panthers, fast and furious. The second exploring each other’s bodies. And the third slowly, like old lovers who had become one, feeling together, climaxing together, sharing in the joy of their love.
Satisfied and spent, Michelle rested on her side, laying in the cradle of Luke’s arm while she swirled her fingers through his chest hair. “I’m so happy.”
“Me, too.” He kissed her. “You are the sunshine in my life. Seeing you come through the sit room door confirmed it. You, Michelle Bradford, are exactly what I’ve been waiting for all these years.”

Thank you for reading Mach One! It was a challenge to write a heroine who had been abducted and deprived of a normal childhood. As I wrote this book I continually tried to make her into a “badass” like the heroines in the first two books but Michelle had to go through a time of self-discovery and transformation before she could be the strong heroine my readers expect.

About the Author
Amy Jarecki embarked on her writing journey shortly after she completed an MBA with Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her first manuscripts were suspense novels, and were never published. She calls writing them baptism by fire—a lesson in learning to write fiction. These lessons, combined with several writing conferences and classes, led her to write her first published book, Boy Man Chief, which won the League of Utah Writers award for Best Manuscript, and the Spark Book Award.
A lot has happened since, with some of the highlights being Rise of a Legend winning the national RONE award for Best Time Travel; hitting the Amazon Top 100 Bestseller list; and a host of other accolades.
Amy enjoys the freedom of authorship and the opportunity to work creatively every day. She has lived in Australia, Bermuda and has spent extensive time in Scotland. Whenever possible, she visits the places she writes about to add vibrant realism to her stories.
