Hide and Seek Her

To my liking though and my complete and utter shock, Vance had fucked up. He had lied to her and in her eyes that was just as bad as beating her to a bloody pulp, that I knew for a fact. I chuckled to myself and shook my head. Vance Wait, the walking God that I had stumbled upon through many of life’s occasions was now defeated in more ways than one. I knew when I saw him the night he decided to show up and save her that I was fucked, I knew that would probably be the last night I lived and I guess at the time I understood why. I had taken something very precious away from Vance’s Aunt and I knew that someday I’d probably pay for it. I was confused when I woke up cold on that floor. There was no Vance, no Charlotte and I was not dead. That coward couldn’t even end my life the way he wanted to, I remember laughing hysterically as more of my blood spilled onto the floor. The police sirens finally shook me back into sanity and I escaped through the broken glass of the back door and hid in the woods until they were gone for good. I was untouchable. I was immortal.
I shook my head as the memories played through my mind and made me laugh. I was still winning. Charlotte had forgotten how dangerous I was, she had forgotten me entirely. She was carrying herself differently; she wasn’t looking over her shoulder or being as cautious as she should have been. It would have been ideal for me to swoop in then and take her away. It would have been perfect timing for me to finish what I had started, but I didn’t. I waited in the shadows and continued to hide like a child. I was a hell of a hider and now I just needed to be a hell of a seeker; that was something I had never been good at but now I was ready to give it a try. It was time to seek her. Vance was gone, she cut him from her life and had spent the last week alone in her house crying her fucking eyes out. I would soon make my move, she wouldn’t expect it; no one would. I had been hiding long enough.
Yep…it was time, I was ready.
“Come out, come out wherever you are!” They would yell and I would emerge. I would do so in such a way that no one would even know what hit them.
Ready or not, here I come.
