Love Me or Leave Me Alone 3

“Please wait for us, Eva! Come on now, slow down,” Ciara pleaded. I stopped in my tracks long enough to turn around and yell at them.
“Y’all better come the hell on! Y’all saw that shit and you already know it’s about to be on. Fuck this shit! I will not be played. Not again, dammit.”
By the time I got to the door of the restaurant, Ciara and Yanna had caught up with me and were breathing hard, trying to catch their breath since they had ran a little to beat me to the door. Before I could open it, Yanna put her hand on mine and held it.
“Eva, now listen. Let’s think about this. We don’t know what the scenario is. It looks crazy fucked up but you cannot go in there acting all crazy and letting those broads see you like this. I need for you to take a deep breath and get it together before we walk in here.”
She had a lot of nerve. Ayanna was the most hotheaded one out of all of us and she would never be calm about a situation like this. She was right about one thing. I couldn’t act a fool and lose my composure in front of those girls unless it was absolutely necessary. I did what she said and took a few deep breaths and then I snatched the door to the restaurant open and we all walked in. It was easy to spot the crew. They were sitting at the bar in boy/girl boy/girl order. The chick that was obviously there with Tyler was touching his arm while she smiled up at him and they were laughing about what had to have been the joke of the year. That is until I showed up.
“Well, well imagine my surprise. What’s up Jay? Hey Tyler,” I said in a calm voice that scared even me.
Jay’s ignorant ass spit out his drink all over the place causing his date to catch an immediate attitude .Tyler looked at me with the stupidest expression I had ever seen. His little date looked amused so I figured she knew what was up. I wanted to slap that smug look off her face because this was the same chick that had bum-rushed the VIP section when I was with Tyler at the club. This situation had got real and hella personal because this bitch knew exactly who I was.
“Aye, y’all better not come in here starting no shit,” Jay said.
Before any of us knew what was happening, Ciara walked up on him real quick and slapped the dog shit out of him! Yanna immediately burst out laughing. I laughed a little too because he was so shocked and that shit was hilarious.
“Shut the fuck up, you bitch!” Ciara yelled at him. She was staring at him with the ‘I wish you would’ look and Jay held on to the side of his face as he jumped up off his barstool.
“You might as well sit your sorry ass back down because you already know you don’t want it,” Yanna said with one hand in her handbag. I knew she had her hand on her gun. I gave her a look and she eased down a little bit but she never took her hand out of her bag.
“Eva, baby, what is all this about? Why y’all acting up like this?” Tyler had the nerve to say to me.
“Do not baby me, asshole. What is all this about? That’s the only thing I wanna hear from you right now before I slap the shit out of you like Ciara did your homeboy.”
“Aye, you might be a little mad right now, but your ass ain’t crazy. If you slap me, it’s going to be a real problem, you feel me?” Tyler said and I was in pure shock. He was the one sitting here having the conversation of a lifetime with this chick and yet he was threatening me? Oh hell nah. All bets were now off.
“What you gonna do Ty, huh? You up in here all lovey dovey with this chick and you got the nerve to act like I don’t have a right to spazz out on your ass? The fuck is wrong with this picture? You better tell me what’s up right now because it’s about to go from zero to one hundred in a minute,” I said to him as I watched her fidget in her seat.
“Bitch, what you lookin at? I should snatch you out of that chair by your Brazilian,” Yanna said.
“Oh, you won’t be snatching anybody because you do not want it with me, boo-boo,” she said as if she didn’t have a care in the world.
“Come on Kia, let’s go to the bathroom and let the boys handle these broads,” she said with a wave of her hand as if she was dismissing us.
Little did she know, she wasn’t going anywhere until somebody started talking. I was up on her in no time and she sat back in her chair and looked at me in shock.
“Oh you ain’t going nowhere until I find out what I need to know so sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up!” I said, daring her to make a move.
“Hey! Y’all are gonna have to take this shit outside,” the bartender told us but I wasn’t moving.
“Eva, it ain’t even all like that so why you acting like this, ma?” Tyler’s pathetic ass said.
“Acting like what? Ty, I am sick of this shit! This is the second time I have ran into you and this bitch and you wonder why I’m acting like this? Don’t try to save face now, you piece of shit. You want this bitch? You can have her. Maybe she can fit this because I obviously don’t need it anymore,” I said as I yanked the ring off of my finger and threw it at him.
He reached down real quick to pick it up and looked at me. The chick he was with didn’t say another word nor did she move out of her seat. It was clear she wasn’t a fighter because any other woman would have been ready to pop off. I shook my head at both of them and turned around to leave. Before I even got a few steps away I felt my hair being yanked from behind and then it went down in there. I had clearly underestimated the girl’s calmness because she had jumped up off that bar stool real quick and grabbed my hair. I felt multiple blows to the back of my head and neck before I had the chance to turn around to defend myself. Yanna was in action as she swung and hit the girl square in the face. She fell down hard on the floor and held her nose as blood immediately started gushing out.
“She broke my nose!” she screamed as she sat on the floor crying and holding her nose.
“Oh hell no bitch I will kick your ass!” the other girl yelled.
Next, Ciara and the other girl were fighting like it was a life or death situation. Yanna and Jay managed to break it up but not before Ciara managed to dig her nails deep into the girl’s right eye. She screamed loud at the pain. While all this was happening, I tried to stomp my way straight through to the other side of the other girl’s chest. She screamed every time I kicked her. I got in about three good kicks before Tyler picked me up from behind and started carrying me out of the restaurant. The other customers were getting themselves an eye full. I even thought I saw a few camera flashes. Great. All I needed was to have my face plastered all over social media while I was in the middle of a bonafied girl fight.
I was completely pissed off. I twisted and wiggled so much that Tyler had to put me down before we got outside good. That was his biggest mistake. I was swinging, kicking, spitting, and scratching. I went crazy and couldn’t stop. I kicked him real hard in the balls with my heels and he doubled over from the pain.
I didn’t give two shits. I wanted Tyler to feel the pain that I was feeling for being treated this way. Nothing about the way he handled that situation was right and I know he knew it. Yanna grabbed me right before I was about to kick him again and told me to chill out because police were always in the area patrolling. She reminded me that I wouldn’t look good in orange.
Ciara was arguing with Jay when the weirdest thing happened. She doubled over and threw up everywhere. It was a sight to see. I knew she hadn’t drank anything because hell, we had just gotten there. I brushed it off as her being way too upset. Maybe that’s what caused her to hyperventilate and gag to the point of throwing up. Jay looked real concerned and kept asking her if she was alright but she kept pushing his hand away.
“Fuck you, Jay! I fucking hate you! Why don’t you disappear? You keep fucking up my life. I hate the day I met you!” Ciara screamed as she cried.
She meant that. I could tell by the pain in her voice that she meant that with every part of her. Jay stopped trying to console her. He stood there for a minute staring at her, then he shook his head and went back inside the restaurant. Tyler was still on the ground in pain.
A couple of gu
ys that had witnessed the whole scene were making jokes and yelling that he had got knocked out by a girl. I knew he was pissed off but the pain was bigger than his embarrassment. We locked eyes for a second and I spit in his direction. Yanna yanked me by my arm real hard and forced me to start walking back towards my car.
“Bring your ass on, Ciara! Ain’t nothing here for us anymore,” Yanna said while practically dragging me down the street.
“Aye yo, what the fuck man?”
It was Star. She was running towards us looking ready to kill.
“Star, girl, you don’t even wanna know. How did you know we were here?” Yanna ask, still holding my arm in a vice grip.
“Man, I was driving down the street about to call you when I saw a big crowd of people standing around. Then I saw Eva jumping on old dude. The fuck happened?” Star asked .I could tell she was getting madder by the second.
“These men and their stupid asses, that’s what happened. We gotta get out of here before somebody or the restaurant owners decides to call the police,” Yanna said.
“Let them call the fucking police! I don’t give a shit! I’m so tired, y’all. I really am. I gave that man the best of me for all those years and now he talks to me and treats me like I ain’t shit! To think I might be pregnant by his ass. I am so fucking stupid!” Ciara went on a rant all by herself but the rest of us stopped in our tracks.
“Pregnant?!?” all three of us said at the same time. I knew Ciara had been hiding something but damn, I didn’t know it was that major.
“Ciara! What the hell? How did we not know this?” Yanna asked, finally letting go of my arm so she could mean mug Ciara. Ciara looked like she could die. I could tell she didn’t mean to blurt that out the way she did but oh well, the cat was out of the bag now.
“I knew it! I knew something was up with your ass. Why would you not tell us something like that, Ci? What did you think we would say? That you were stupid? That we would be pissed at you? Girl, please I know it can’t be any of that because you already know that ain’t how we get down. How far along are you, Ciara?” I wanted to know.
She was crying now. Well that explains why she threw up like that a minute ago I guess. Ciara didn’t deserve the third degree from us but I was already on ten and finding out that one of my best friends was pregnant and hiding it from us added fuel to my fire.
“I mean, y’all act like I was keeping some big secret from y’all! I was gonna tell you. I wanted to figure out what I wanted to do first. Sue me, damn! I’m human y’all and I fucked up. Oh God, I really really fucked up bad this time!” Ciara yelled and really started crying then. We all walked up to her and held her in a group hug. Nobody said anything for a minute. We just let her cry.
“I don’t know what to do. I was really feeling Darren but as usual my feelings for Jay took over for a minute. Now I see that Jay has never meant me any good and it is way beyond time to let him go. But what if this baby is his? I’ll have to deal with him for the rest of my life,” Ciara shook her head.
I sighed. I hated to see my friend like that. Having kids is major and lord knows if I could do it all over again, I would pick a different guy to be Miles and Kyla’s father. We haven’t heard from or seen him in years and I prefer it that way. Last I heard, he moved to California and was still producing more kids that he won’t take care of. I explained as much as I could about the situation to my kids and I refuse to talk bad about him to them.
I don’t have to say anything to my kids about their absent father. As they get older, they’ll see who has always been there for them. They’ll also see the truth about who never was. All that aside, I really didn’t want Ciara to have to know what it’s like to explain to a crying six year old about why her daddy is never around. It’s heartbreaking to have to do that.
“Ciara, whatever happens and whatever you decide we will be right here and you know that. I have to say I am surprised that you and Jay were kicking it that heavily because I thought for sure Mr. Darren had taken that spot,” I said and laughed a little, trying to lighten the mood.
“Honestly, I did too. Jay has a way of always managing to get back in with me. I keep letting him. But that’s dead now. Jay has truly shown me his true colors at this point and I’m done. I might change my number and be done with it all. I’m really scared but I’m honestly considering abortion,” Ciara said.
“If that’s what you want to do, only you know what’s best. I will go with you if that’s what you want,” Yanna said while rubbing Ciara’s back.
“Man, this is some heavy shit. That’s what y’all get fuckin’ with these lame as dudes. I’m glad I don’t have those problems,” Star joked and we all laughed.
“You got your own set of emotionally charged problems,” Yanna said while still laughing.
“Shit, you got that right. But aye, fuck it. We’re out here. We’re looking good. Let’s go have some drinks and not talk about this dumb shit no more. Yeah, you’re drinking tonight, Ciara, since you decided not to have the seed of Chucky,” Star said and winked at Ciara.
We had a real good laugh off that and we all needed it. Tyler had called my phone only twice since we left him there looking stupid and I sent him straight to voicemail both times. He had some explaining to do but at the moment, I really didn’t care.
Chapter 13
Ayanna
The night was truly an eventful one to say the least. We ended up having a few drinks at a spot away from downtown so that we wouldn’t have to worry about bumping into anyone else that would piss us off. Star wasn’t ready to take it in so she decided to stick around downtown for a little bit longer. It actually turned out not to be a bad night after all.
Ciara opted not to drink even though she said she was certain that she didn’t want to have the baby. I think she was scared that it would make her sick again and I guess I couldn’t blame her. Damn that was some heavy shit. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine Ciara would be pregnant and possibly not by Jay. Goes to show you that you never know how things in life may turn out, I thought.
I turned on the shower as hot as I could get it and then I sent a text to Cam asking where he was. I let the steam build as I lathered myself with my new favorite body wash from Vickie’s Secret. As I was about to step out of the shower, I heard the door close. I smiled a little, knowing that Cam would be in the ultimate mood and I was always ready. I wrapped a towel around my body and opened the bathroom door.
When I saw Cam, I was so shocked that I accidently dropped my towel. He was standing at the door to our room staring at me. His shirt that used to be white was now covered in blood. I hadn’t seen that much blood since he got shot and I was immediately terrified.
“Cam! What the hell happened to you?” I screamed.
He shook his head and started taking off his shirt.
“Baby, please, you’re scaring me. What happened, Cam? Talk to me,” I pleaded.
“All I want to do is take a shower, a’ight? Let me chill for a minute and I’ll come out and talk to you. Shit is serious right now, ma,” Cam said and then he walked into the bathroom and closed the door.
I stood there looking crazy. I had no idea what to say, do, or even think. I took his shirt, balled it up, put it in a plastic bag, and tied it shut. The only thing that helped me calm down a little bit was the fact that when he took off his shirt, it didn’t look like he was bleeding. But that didn’t really help me much because if he wasn’t bleeding then that only meant that someone else was.
My mind was racing with a thousand different scenarios but all of them sadly involved Fallon. I didn’t really think that Cam would murder his own sister but she had ultimately crossed the line. Whatever happened to her after that was her own fault, I thought. It seemed like Cam stayed in the shower forever. I had already rubbed my body down with lotion and put on one of his t-shirts that fit me like a dress. I sat on the bed Indian style and when he finally opened the bathroom door, I was speechless. No matter how bad the situation was, C
am would always be so fine to me. He had muscles for days and the tattoos that covered about 75 percent of his upper body were so damn sexy to me too. I held out my hand motioning for him to come and sit down beside me. When he did, I put my head on his shoulder and rubbed his chest gently. I waited awhile and when he was ready to talk, I listened.
“Shit is crazy, man. I didn’t mean for it to go down like it did but it’s done now. I knew Rommell was a hothead but I ain’t never seen him lose it like that before. My boy wild, man. Real loco type dude.” Cam was talking but he wasn’t making any sense. What was he talking about? I wanted him to get to the real deal.
“Cam, what happened? What did Rommell do? Was it Fallon?” I asked.
“Nah. I still need time to talk to her. I don’t want to put my hands on my sister but I need to know what the fuck she was thinking about. Now I got Tracey’s brother’s blood on my hands and it’s all Fallon’s fault,” he said.
I felt like a million chills ran through me. Cam didn’t have to say anything else because at that moment I already knew what happened. They had killed Tracey’s brother. A small part of me felt bad for her for a hot second because she was a pawn in Fallon’s fucked up little game. Fallon was the one that needed to be dealt with. I needed Cam to really see that.
“Cam! Y’all didn’t need to do that. What did that guy have to do with anything? At some point, y’all gotta see that all this killing and tit for tat bullshit has got to stop! I almost got shot too, remember? But you don’t see me running around here terrorizing the streets. Sometimes you gotta learn when to let shit go, man,” I said as tears formed in my eyes. I didn’t want anything to happen to Cam that would possibly take him away from me. I didn’t think I could deal with that.
“I know man, I know! Shit got outta hand. We meant to scare Tracey, not kill anybody. But you know how that nigga Rommell can get. Before we could say anything else, he was busting off. Fuck it though. What’s done is done. We can’t change it,” Cam said and I was in pure shock.
