“Yeah, right.” She rolled her eyes. “I don’t want that bitch around my kids.”

He smacked his lips. “There you go.”

“No, there you go. Fuck with me and you won’t see them at all.” She threatened.

He shook his head. “Come on, Ryan. We aint gonna even start off of on the wrong foot like that. Now, I’ma always respect you, but let’s keep it gangsta. You or nobody else can keep me away from them. I don’t give a fuck what we’re going through. I’ma always be there for them and you can’t stop that. You know me, man. So, do you think that I will honestly let you take my kids away from me again?”

His words caused a chill to run down her spine. She knew when he meant something, and he meant every word he’d just spoke wholeheartedly.

“The twins are here.” Ryan pointed out, as she heard the private school bus blow their horn outside.

“Let me go get them.” He smiled as he stood. He stomped over to the door and stepped out. The twins were already getting off the bus.

“Daddy!” Demond shouted as he spotted Desmond.

Both twins rushed him, wrapping their little arms around him. “Hey, yall. Yall had a nice day at school?” he asked.

“Yes.” They both answered at the same time. It was funny how they did and said everything together.

“Good.” They all stepped back into the house. He checked them out in their uniforms, and realized that they were both rocking Ralph Lauren Polo from head to toe. They also had fresh haircuts.

“I see yall looking fresh in the uniforms.”

“Yeah, they be jockeying my swag, daddy.” Little De-De bragged.

  Desmond roared with laughter.

Ryan shook her head, as they interacted like she wasn’t there. The twins eventually changed their clothes, and were preparing to leave with Desmond. He was taking them to Main Event, which was a game stop equipped with go-cart rides and laser tag.

“Mommy, why aren’t you getting dressed?” Demond questioned as he stepped into the living room.

  “For what?” she asked him.

“So that we can go with daddy.”

  “Oh, baby, mommy’s not going.”

“Why not?” he pouted. “I want you to come too.” he folded him arms and poked out his bottom lip.

“What’s wrong with you?” Desmond questioned as he entered the room.

“I want mommy to come with us.”

“Mommy, you’re not coming?” Little De-De questioned.

“Well, I wasn’t planning on it.”

“You aint doing nothing else.” Desmond added. “Why you can’t come?”

She rolled her eyes. “Well, you know how long I take to get ready, so yall might as well go’on.”

“No, it’s cool. We can wait.” Desmond offered, as he plopped down on the couch.

She huffed as she stood. “You get on my nerves.” She shoved his head, as she walked past him.

Just as she stepped into her room she heard her cell vibrating. She tipped over to her nightstand and saw that it was Jacob calling. For some reason she didn’t feel like talking to him.

She went ahead and got dressed. Since they were going to kick it she decided to dress comfortably. So, she grabbed a red velour sweat suit by Juicy Couture and some white Air Forces.

“Yall ready?” she asked as she sauntered into the living room after finishing getting dressed.

Desmond’s eyes searched her body. She looked to have gained at least thirty pounds since they’d been apart and it all seemed to be in her ass. “Yeah, we ready.”

She gave him a look. “Why are you looking at me like that?”

He gave her a cunning grin. “I’m looking at that donkey you carrying around.”

“What donkey, daddy? Mommy, you have a donkey? Where is it?” Demond asked.

Both Ryan and Desmond laughed. “Let’s go, before I hurt you.” She told Desmond. They all went into the garage and climbed in his Lexus SUV.

Since it was getting dark at six the sun had already gone down. For some reason the skyline seemed better that day. Drake’s voice blared from the speakers. “I don’t give you the time you deserve from me. This is something I know, I know, I know. So, tonight I’ll just f*** you like we’re in Houston. Taking everything slow, so slow, so slow.”

Desmond’s ears perked as he heard the twins singing along with the music. He lowered the volume. “Ay, what yall know about that?”

“Daddy that’s Drake. That’s my song.” Little De-De chattered, as he bobbed his head to the beat.

All he could do was glance over at Ryan while shaking his head as he turned the music back up.

They trotted into Main Event and tore it down. Neither Ryan nor Desmond had had that much fun in years. They played on every game right along with the kids. All their issues were left at the door as they all thoroughly enjoyed one another.

By the end of the night the kids were exhausted and they slept the entire ride home.

“These little niggas sleep hard.” Desmond whispered as he laid Demond in his bed.

“I know.” Ryan smiled as he placed the other twin in his bed as well. “Uh, I’m tired.” She yawned as she left the room.

“Me too.” he sighed, as he followed her as she headed to her bedroom.

Once she realized that he was behind her, she stopped and spun around. “Where you going?”

“To the room with you.” He contended as cool as the other side of the pillow.

She snaked her neck. “Nigga, you got me fucked up. Did you forget about your bitch at home?”

He waved her off. “Man, aint nobody thinking about that girl.”

She folded her arms. “Yeah right. You go home to her every night, so it gotta be something.”

Just as she said that his cell started ringing.

“I bet you that’s her calling now.”

He sucked his teeth, as he gripped her hips and pulled her in. “Do it look like I give a fuck? I’m here with my family.”

“And who is your family?” she asked, trying to stop blushing.

He kissed her lips. “You and my sons.”

“No, that broad is your family.”

“Naw.” He shook his head. “You’re my wife.”

“I’m your wife, huh? Well, then what is she?”

  “I don’t know, I guess my woman.”

She pushed him off of her. “Oh, hell no. I can’t be your wife if she’s your woman.”

He pulled her back into his arms. “Okay then, she aint shit. How ‘bout that?”

“Move.” She whined, as he backed her into her bedroom, all the while his cell continued to ring. He pushed her onto the bed.

  “Stop.” She weakly protested.

“Nu-uh.” He shook his head, as he aggressively pulled her pants down. Then came her panties. Slowly he eased her top off. There on her chest was a bullet wound. It had healed nicely, and to the naked eye it could be mistaken for an ordinary scar, although he knew better. His heart rate sped up, seeing his repercussions scarred on her permanently.

He traced the wound with his index finger. “I’m sorry, baby.”

She waved her head. “I don’t blame you.”

“I missed you.” He spoke sincerely.

“I missed you too.” She admitted, because she couldn’t front anymore if she wanted to. She hurriedly undid his shorts, and yanked them down. Anxiously, she reached into his boxers, and pulled out his dick. She gapped her thighs as he slid inside of her. They both shuttered as their bodies became one.

She wrapped her legs around his waist, while he rotated his hips into her. By this time both of their cells were ringing. They pushed and shoved and rolled around in the bed, until they were both completely naked. Position after position they made sex scenes.

Three hours later, Ryan found herself on top, riding him slowly. For so very long she’d dreamt about his thickness sliding in and out of her, and her fantasies had come to life. He filled her out, and she needed to feel every
inch. There was no hurry, as she wound her hips sensually. Her perky breasts stood at attention, as she worked the dick. Desmond was mesmerized, as she stroked her own nipples, driving him insane. They were both physically exhausted, but couldn’t stop making love. He needed to be inside of her, and she had to have him there. The depth of their longing for each other was expressed one last time as the sun came up.

Ryan was so tired that she had to call in at work. She couldn’t move. Desmond actually had to wake the twins, get them ready, and make sure that they got on the bus safely. Still, as soon as that was done he was right there with her snoring loudly, getting some much needed sleep.

  Chapter 10

Jacob sat behind his desk twiddling his fingers. He was so pissed that he was beside himself. After calling in two days in a row Ryan flounced into the office without a hint of an explanation. He’d been out of town and she’d done quite a bit of the work from home, but that didn’t make up for the fact that not once did she answer any of his calls.

He knew that the sudden appearance of her baby daddy played a role in her odd behavior. She was very distant and talked on the phone an unusual amount, constantly whispering. He was tired of wondering about what was up and vowed to get to the bottom of things before they left that office.

“Can we talk?” he asked her as they both walked out of the building at the end of the day.

“What’s up?” she asked with a smile.

“Why haven’t you answered any of my calls for the past few days?”

“Like I told Ruby, the twins were sick.”

“Really? So are they okay now?”

  “Yeah.”

“Good.” He smiled. “I’m going to come over in a sec.”

She shook her head. “I don’t know. Maybe we should wait until the weekend. I’m a little tired.” She faked a yawn.

He eyed her suspiciously. “You wouldn’t lie to me, would you?”

She shook her head. “No, baby. I’m just tired. I think that it’s time that I take my vacation.”

“Your vacation? I thought that we were going to vacation together.”

“Yeah, but I’m just so tired. I need a little break now.” she pouted as she playfully stomped her feet. “Can I go on vacation next week?” she stroked his face with her index finger.

He knew what she was trying to do and it was working. His dick was rock hard and bulging in his slacks. “Cool.” He slowly kissed her lips. “Maybe we can spend at least three days alone and catch up.”

“Yeah, that sounds nice.” She smiled. “Now, let me get home to my babies.” She backed away, but he grabbed her hand.

“Baby, wait. Let me get a quickie.” He licked his lips.

“Umm.” She moaned. “As tempting as that sounds, I have get the twins a little early today. They aren’t riding the bus home. Long story short I have to pick them up from daycare.”

“Damn, baby. You see how you got him?” he stared at his hard-on. “And now you want to leave him hanging.”

“I’m sorry, baby. Tomorrow I’ll make it up to you. I promise.”

“Alright.” He sighed as he let her hand go.

“I’ll call you.” She claimed, before getting into her car.

“You better.” He commanded, as he watched her drive off.

Ryan took a huge sigh of relief. She wasn’t used to telling so many lies, and she didn’t know how long she could keep it up. With her and Jacob working so closely together it wouldn’t be long before he’d figure out that something was wrong.

A smile crossed her face as she pulled into her garage and saw Desmond’s Lexus. So, she anxiously hopped out of her ride and twisted into her townhouse. When she stepped into the living room she saw that he was on the couch sleep. He was shirtless and she found herself watching the muscles in his stomach contract as he breathed deeply.

She walked right over to him and knelt down, placing a kiss on his moist lips. Afterwards she just stood and stared as he slept. Karen White’s song came to mind while watching him. “Whatever I can do for your love. You just ask, consider it done. And I’ll do anything. Whatever you want, whenever you need it…That’s only one thing I need to know. Can I stay with you, baby, for the rest of the night? Can I stay with you, baby, for the rest of my life?”

He slowly stirred in his sleep and without opening his eyes he gripped her hips and pulled her onto him.

She giggled. “I thought you were sleep?”

“I am. Take a nap with me.” He kissed her.

She laid her head on his chest and was soon lightly snoring.

Meanwhile, across town Jada sat on their couch with a box of Kleenex. Desmond had been gone for five days and had turned off his personal cell two days ago. She didn’t know the business line’s number and she was about to lose her mind. There she was in a huge city with no one there to comfort her. Her mind was telling her to count her loses and head back to Louisiana, but her heart was telling her to stay and fight for her man. She was kicking herself for not listening to her mama.

“Guh, you better put a little fix on his ass so he don’t wonder off.” Her mama insisted. She regularly indulged in voodoo, and swore by it. Hell, voodoo was probably the only thing strong enough to keep her man away from Ryan.

“Why he keep doing me like this?” she sobbed, asking those four walls surrounding her. “Oh, God. It hurts so bad.” She bent over holding her stomach. Snot dripped from her nose as she engaged in one of those earth-shattering, deep down in your soul cries.

All she could think about was how Ryan was responsible for her pain, and as long as God placed breath in her body; she was going to make that bitch pay.

  ******

“Mr. Brown you have another client coming in at two.” Ruby reported, as Jacob hurried out of the office. He didn’t even have time to reply. He simply gave her a head nod and kept it moving.

Ryan hadn’t been to work in three days. She hadn’t answered any of his calls and he was fed up. She was going to give some fucking answers, even if he had to hold her ass upside down. It wasn’t about the office anymore. He could always find another paralegal. No, she was straight shitting on him and everything he stood for.

When he pulled up to her townhouse he had to sit for a few just to gather his composure. No other broad had ever disrespected him the way that she had. He actually moved the bitch out the hood and into luxury, and this was how she repaid him?

He hopped out of his car and briskly stepped to the door. Ringing the doorbell never entered his mind. He used his key to unlock the door and pushed it open. He tipped in and found the living room absent of people, but the TV was still on. He walked deeper in and peeked into the twins’ room and, of course, it was empty. He knew that they were at school.

He stepped further down the hall bypassing a bathroom. The closer he got to her room the more evident it became that someone was in there. He boldly walked into her bedroom and his eyes involuntarily bulged out of his head. He couldn’t fucking believe his eyes. All of sudden Ms. I’m So Tired Ryan had plenty of energy. Desmond sat at the edge of the bed, watching her ass bounce up and down as she rode him while her body was contorted upside down. Her hands rested on the floor as the lower region of her body straddled his lap. Her ass cheeks were wobbling as she rode him. He then squeezed his eyes shut while his mouth was wide open as he gripped her hips. They were oblivious to the fact that Jacob stood in the middle of the bedroom.

“What the fuck is going on?!” he shouted and they jumped apart.

“Who the fuck!” Desmond let out as he scampered to the nightstand to grab his heat. He looked up as he opened the drawer and realized that it was his lawyer. “Man, what the fuck are you doing here?” he asked as he located his chromed glock.

“No, the question is what the fuck are you doing here? This is my house.” Jacob seethed, while never taking his eyes off the pistol in Desmond’s hand.

Desmond scrounged up. “This your house?” he looked over at Ryan. “Is this nigga telli
ng the truth?”

She was pulling his t-shirt over her head.

“Answer me!” he shouted causing her to flinch. She glanced at him. He resembled a madman, holding a gun while stark naked.

  “Yes.” She uttered.

His eyes searched the room, until they zeroed in on his boxers lying on the floor. He stomped over and snatched them up. He stepped in them, not caring that he gave Jacob a full view of his goods.

He stomped over to Ryan and yoked her up. “The fuck you doing living here in this nigga’s house?”

Jacob was surprised at how quickly the tables were turning. He thought that he’d be the first one to jack her up.

“It’s not what you think.” She tried to explain. “He, he let me stay here for a little while. He, he don’t be here with me.”

Desmond’s eyes ventured to Jacob to see if he’d confirm her lies. He slowly shook his head, refusing to lie for her. “Yall fucking?”

“Yeah, we fucking. That’s why she living up in my spot.”

“This aint your spot! You just paying the rent.”

“Yeah, that’s what I wanted you to believe. I own this shit.” He let out a pissed off chuckle.

“So, you been going to work fucking this nigga?!” Desmond violently shook her body.

“No! I haven’t fucked him since you’ve been around!” she shouted, crushing Jacob’s ego.

“You standing there acting like it was nothing while I paid for everything in here down to your nasty ass panties you have lying on my floor, bitch.” Jacob lashed.

Desmond shoved Ryan off and inched towards him. “Say, main, she aint no bitch. And if you paid for everything in here, you can keep it. She don’t need shit from you.”

“Shit, that bitch needed this dick plenty of nights!”

Desmond dropped the gun and rushed him. They both fell to the floor with Desmond on top. He reached back and slammed his fist into Jacob’s mouth, loosening a tooth. “She needed what, nigga? Huh?!”

“Baby, stop!” Ryan pleaded trying to pull Desmond off of Jacob.

“Talk that shit, nigga!” Desmond lashed as he continuously slammed his fist into Jacob’s face.

“Stooop!” Ryan cried. Finally, he relented and lifted off of a battered Jacob.
