  ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

My thanks to the following editors: Kathleen Rothenberger, Audrey Beegle, and my dear hubby. Without you, I would be in this, alone. I also want to thank the following readers who read an ARC (advance reading copy) and gave me valuable feedback: Pamela Means, Sharon Frizell, Margo Lynn Flora, Charlene Fraley, Janet Greaves, Denise Snyder, and Rhonda Kirby. With your insights, my chapters are crisp and exciting, and my characters passionate and interesting.

A special thanks to another preview reader, Chuck Snyder, who suggested I change the title to ’50 Shades of Highland Lust’. To my readers, who help me pay the bills! Love you all!

  AUTHOR NOTES

My Hunted Highlander is the last book in my Kilted Athletes Through Time series, which followed on the leather booted heels of my Highland Games Through Time series. I hope my readers enjoyed traveling through time while making pit stops at the Highlands of Scotland, and the fictional New England Highland Games.

Robert Burns, the famous Scottish poet, once said “Suspicion is a heavy armor and with its weight it impedes more than it protects,” and I have filled this edition with conflict, secrets, and star-crossed lovers, as well as ocean sailing, and, of course, Scottish pirates. I grew up near the water, and loved swimming and boating. Our last boat was only sixteen feet long. Creating a huge pirate ship, and filling it with a crew, was fun! My idea to make my captain a woman, kidnapped from present-day New England, gave the story a different twist. I hope you liked it! The best way to show your approval of an author’s hard work is to leave a review at various sites. Thanks!
