It was nine o’clock as he found his seat on the plane. Why were Becky and Steve still at the office? He knew if he text her, she would either not answer or say something to let him know she made her own decisions. He didn’t want to say anything stupid like he did the night before, so he let it go. He was so ready to go home. He took his phone out to call Steve at the office and tell him it was too late to be there, when an email popped up.

“Just wanted to let you know we just left. See you tomorrow. Steve”

  Gavin emailed them both back.

“Great. Thanks for all of the hard work you guys have put in on this project. It means a lot for the company. The client is thinking of us for a huge project he has coming up. I know how much work it has been. The plane is getting ready to take off, so I am shutting my phone off. See you tomorrow. Have a nice night.”

By the time Gavin got home, he went right to bed. He knew he needed some rest to get through the next day. Seeing Becky was not going to be easy. He knew she was hurt by what he had said the other day and needed to find some way to fix it.

Becky and Steve were so happy. They did it. The project was done. Steve didn’t tell Gavin about it, because Becky asked him not to. She said she wanted to see Mr. Lucas’ reaction when he found out they had it finished. Steve invited Becky to the bar for a celebratory drink. She turned him down for the second time. It would have been nice to have a drink to celebrate, but there was no way she would have let Gavin thought that she had done anything with Steve, especially after his comments the night before. She was better than that.

She went home and fell into her bed. Becky was exhausted. Hopefully, they would not need much from her at work the next day. She was done.

  Chapter Eighteen

Becky woke up with time to spare in the morning. She wanted to make sure she was on time for work. There was no way she was going to be late, especially after all of the work she had put in the day before. She hurried to get dressed and took off out the door.

Her laptop was on and waiting ten minutes before it needed to be. She was happy to see that Gavin wasn’t there yet. Steve slid in at the last moment. He looked so tired. Becky laughed. She was bright eyed and pumped, ready to see Gavin with her whole in your face attitude.

“You okay?” she asked Steve, as she laughed. “Do you need a coffee or something?”

Steve looked up at her and rolled his eyes.

“How do you have so much energy?” he asked. “Coffee would be great.”

She got up and took off for the kitchen. Becky made Steve’s coffee and headed back to her desk. As she rounded the bend, looking down at the coffee, she ran into a wall of suit. Shit, she thought, as some of the coffee sloshed out of the cup and onto the floor. She just missed the perfectly polished shoes in front of her. Thank you, she thought, as she saw the coffee avoid them in slow motion. She knew who it was. Becky shook her head.

“Sorry,” she said. “I should have been watching. I was trying not to spill the coffee. I am so sorry Mr. Lucas.”

She knew not to make eye contact.

“No big deal,” he said, with his voice soft and low.

Becky felt bad when she heard the tone in his voice. She looked up at Gavin and saw how tired he looked. His eyes were narrowed and his usual smile was missing. He must have noticed her change in attitude, because he stepped back and smiled slightly.

“I should have been watching too,” he said. “It’s been a long couple of days. Have a good day.”

He turned to walk back to his office. He must have changed his mind about what he was going to do. She had to hear all of the ladies and their good mornings to him as she hurried back to her desk. She saw Gavin look at her from the corner of her eye, as she placed Steve’s coffee on his desk. Quickly, she sat back down in her seat and looked down at her computer.

“Are you ready to show off your mad skills?” Steve asked.

  “Sure am,” she replied.

Steve sent an email to Becky and Gavin.

“Hope you had a good trip. When you have a moment, we want to show you the project we have been working on. Please let us know when you have a few minutes. Steve”

Becky was excited. She knew Gavin was going to really like what they had done. They finished it, even though he didn’t think they could. She wanted him to see how good she was at her job. He needed to know she wasn’t just some chick he slept with for a week, but that she was smart and valuable. She sat at her desk waiting patiently for Gavin to answer the email from Steve. When she walked by his office, she noticed him with his elbows on his desk and his head in his hands. What was going on? Maybe something happened at work, or maybe he was just tired from his trip. She cared about him, and it made her sad to see him look like that. It was the first day at work she had seen him look unhappy. Becky went back to her desk and sent him a message.

  “Are you okay?” she sent.

She could see him look down at his phone and shake his head. He didn’t answer back.

  “What’s wrong?” she sent.

Again, he looked down and then she saw him look out at her.

“I’m just tired. I got in late last night. Why?” he replied.

“You look rough. Are you sure you’re okay?” she replied.

  “I guess so,” he sent.

“Is there anything you need?” she sent.

  “Yes,” he replied.

  “What?” she sent.

“You in my bed tonight,” he replied.

She looked up and could see him as he looked out at her. His expression was sad, but she could see the cutest little smirk form on his lips. She didn’t respond. With her headphones on, she stayed scooted low in her chair as she peeked up over her laptop and watched him in his office. He stood up, took his jacket off, threw it over a chair, unbuttoned his top shirt button, and loosened his tie so it was hanging from his neck. Damn, was he hot. She wanted to walk into his office, shut the blinds, and throw herself into his arms. He walked out of his office, and she hurried to sit up as he walked down her row.

Gavin walked up and stood between her and Steve’s desks. He looked over at her flowers.

“Nice flowers,” he said. “That guy must really like you.”

  Becky laughed.

“Thanks,” she replied. “I’m not sure about that.”

  Gavin looked at Steve.

“I’m ready. Show me what you got,” Gavin said. “I’ll meet you in the conference room.”

  Gavin turned and walked away.

  “You ready Becky?” Steve asked.

  “I sure am,” Becky answered.

They gathered their laptops and paperwork they needed and headed to the conference room. When they walked in, Gavin was sitting back with his feet crossed up on the long table with a cup of coffee in his hand. Steve and Becky sat down and made sure they were ready.

“Come check this out,” Steve said. “We finished the project.”

Gavin took his feet off the table and his facial expression changed.

“You finished it,” he replied, as he stood up and walked around to stand behind them.

“Yes,” Becky replied, with a smile that spread across her entire face.

Gavin stood between Steve and Becky as they showed him their finished work. She looked up and saw the smile on Gavin’s face. He leaned down closer to the laptop screen as his shoulder rubbed against Becky’s. His loose tie hung down next to her face and she could smell Gavin’s amazing scent. It was the perfect mix between cologne and Gavin. She felt a shiver run through her body and he let out a small laugh.

  “You okay?” Gavin asked.

“I’m fine,” she said. “If you’ll excuse me for a moment, I’ll be right back.”

Gavin moved over to look at what Steve was looking at. Becky stood up and walked out of the room. When she got down the hall, she pulled out her phone and typed a message.

“If you don’t stop leaning over me like that, I am going to grab that tie, pull you down, and kiss
you until you’re rock hard. Quit smelling so damn good,” she hit send.

She stood in the bathroom waiting for a reply. Her phone buzzed. She read the message.

“I don’t think Steve would that like very much. That might make him uncomfortable. I wouldn’t mind though. I can’t help the way I smell. Maybe you should consider wearing a shirt that I can’t see down while I lean over you. No wonder Steve leans over your shoulder all the time.”

She let out a groan as she replied.

“Quit looking down my shirt. I better watch to see whose shoulders you lean over during the day. Button up your shirt and comb your just fucked hair. Are you sure that you’re so tired because your flight was late? Fix that shit before I get back in there.”

“Just fucked hair, really. I don’t recall you being in my bed last night, but I’m hoping you’ll be in it tonight. I guess you just need to find some self-control and get your ass back in here. Steve is starting to wonder where his woman is,” he sent.

She let out a growl as she heard the bathroom door open. Becky walked out and heard her phone buzz as she walked down the hallway.

“I just wanted to say great job. Congrats! You pulled it off. I’m sorry for doubting you guys,” he sent.

Becky shoved her phone in her pocket as she walked back into the conference room. She sat back down in her chair. Gavin walked over and leaned back down next to her. He let out a breathe as he passed by her ear. She noticed he stayed right above her, as she purposely let her loose shirt hang forward. His arm rubbed against hers several times as he pointed to things, way more than he needed to, on her screen. He finally stood up.

“This is perfect. They are going to be so happy that we are done early. Thank you for all of your hard work. This will put us on the top of his list for their new project. I really appreciate what the two of you have done. You two are a huge asset to this company,” Gavin said. “We are going to lunch to celebrate.”

  “That’s not necessary,” Becky said.

“It is. Put your stuff back at your desk and meet me in my office,” he said, as he opened the door and walked out of the room.

“We did it,” Steve said. “He was impressed. You have definitely proven your worth here. Let’s go to lunch.”

They walked back to their desks and put everything away. Steve waited for Becky so they could walk to Gavin’s office together. Steve walked behind her, and she could feel his hand on her lower back. She walked a little quicker, hoping Gavin wouldn’t notice. Gavin came out of his office, walked between them, and put his hands on their shoulders as they walked.

Gavin drove to the restaurant. When the hostess seated them, Steve hurried ahead and pulled out a chair for Becky. She sat down as she watched Gavin’s expression. His eyes scrunched up and his eyes widened. She could see his chest rise and could hear him take a huge breathe. She hurried to open the menu and concentrate on it. The waitress came up to get their orders.

“Gavin, nice to see you. How have you been?” the waitress asked, as she leaned down next to him.

Becky looked up over her menu and coughed. She saw Gavin smile.

“I’ve been great. Just got home from out of town,” he said.

“Great. What are you doing this weekend?” she asked.

Becky let out a groan from behind her menu.

“You okay?” Gavin asked, as he looked at her.

Becky looked up over her menu.

“Oh, yes. Sorry, I’m just really hungry. Can we order?” she asked.

“Of course, why don’t you order first,” he said.

They all ordered. The waitress brought them their drinks and lunches. Gavin and Steve held most of the conversation. They talked about work and new projects that were coming in. Becky answered their questions with one word answers. Each time the waitress tried to say something to Gavin, Becky cut her off. The waitress was dating one of Gavin’s friends, but he was enjoying Becky squirm to much to mention it. He had to watch Steve ogle her all day long.

When they got back to the office, Gavin watched Becky stomp back to her desk. He couldn’t help but laugh at her display of attitude. There was never a dull moment with her. He was happy that she was different than any other woman he had ever been with. It was nice to have her treat him just like anyone else. She didn’t fall to his feet or kiss his ass. With her, he had to work for her attention. She was the first one he actually wanted to send flowers to. The first one he had true feelings for. The thought of her not talking to him, tore him up. He was happy to have her at least talk to him.

As soon as she left the office for the day, he sent her a text.

“Be at my house at seven. I am bringing dinner home for us.”

“I’m not sure about that. Are you sure you don’t want to meet up with that waitress tonight instead?” she sent.

“That’s not fair. I did not flirt with her. I was well behaved. I could say the same about Mr. walk with my hand on your back or Mr. let me pull your chair out for you. Be there at seven,” he sent.

“Are you asking me or telling me?” she replied.

“Do you want me to come to your place instead? We can do it either way,” he sent.

“You’re such a brat. I’ll be there at seven,” she sent.

  “Oh, and Gavin,” she sent.

  “Yes,” he replied.

“You better look exactly like you did in that conference room. The buttons, the tie, and the hair. See you then,” she sent.

Gavin let out a growl when he read her text. He was looking forward to seven o’clock.

  Chapter Nineteen

Becky pulled up to Gavin’s house at exactly seven o’clock. Quietly, she stood at his door. Before she could knock, the door swung open. Gavin stood against the door looking exactly like he did in the office. His top buttons unbuttoned, his loose tie hanging from around his neck, and his just fucked hair look. She reached up and pulled his head down to her as she brought his lips to hers. He ran his tongue across her bottom lip and pulled it between his teeth. She opened her mouth and wound her tongue around his. Becky pulled away slightly.

She grabbed his tie and pulled him into the house, as she kicked the door shut behind her. He grabbed her, swung her around, and pushed his mouth into hers as he pushed her against the front door. Quickly, he pulled her shirt over her head and undid her bra letting it slide from her shoulders and onto the floor. He left a trail of kisses down her neck in between her breasts. His tongue slid across her pink nipples as they responded to his taste. He sucked and licked her plump breasts as he undid her pants and slid them down her legs. She stepped out of them and wrapped her arms around his neck. He looked into her eyes and felt so much passion for her. He claimed her mouth with his and pushed himself against her. She ground against his hardness through his pants and he let out a moan. Becky reached up and pulled his shirt apart, sending buttons flying across the room. Gavin let out a chuckle.

“If you don’t stop doing that, I won’t have any clothes left,” he said.

She hurried to undo his belt and unbutton his pants. Her hands shook as she unzipped them and shoved them to the ground. She took his hard cock in her hand and rubbed his length.

“Becky, I need you now,” he whispered into her ear.

He lifted her in his arms as he pushed her against the door. She wrapped her legs around his waist. He slid his fingers across her panties and groaned against her neck.

“Damn Becky, you’re so wet,” he moaned.

She ran her fingers through his dark hair as she kissed him.

“Gavin, Please,” she whispered. “I need you inside of me, now.”

Her warm breathe crossed his ear and a chill ran through him. In one fast movement he ripped her panties from her and thrust into her. With each thrust, he went deeper into her. She moaned with pleasure. She let her head fall back against the door as she said his name. He lifted her hips and each time she went down, he filled her insides. She felt so warm and wet around him. He quickened his pace. S
he pulled tighter against him.

  “Harder, Gavin. Please,” she moaned.

He could feel her breathe quicken against his lips and knew she was close to the edge. Gavin pumped harder into her as he kissed her deeper than ever. He could feel her tighten against his cock as she called out his name. Her kiss was so intense as he came at the same time. Slowly he put her down, as he leaned against the door over her. They stood as they caught their breath.

  “Are you hungry?” he asked.

  “Very,” she replied.

Gavin had brought home take out for dinner. They ate in front of the television. He looked up at the clock. It was eleven o’clock. Becky stood up.

“I better go,” she said. “I can’t believe how late it is.”

  “Stay here tonight,” he said.

“I don’t have anything with me,” she said. “I don’t think my boss would appreciate me going to work in the clothes I wore today, especially with no panties.”

“There is no way you are going in with no panties,” he said. “Steve wouldn’t be able to get anything done, and I would have to kick his ass.”

“Oh yeah, why is that?” she asked.

“We can get up early,” he said. “I’ll cook breakfast.”

Gavin gave her a pouty look and reached his hand out for hers. She laughed and put her hand in his. He pulled her behind him to the bedroom.

He loved the way her body felt against him while she slept. What was he going to do about her? She slept with her head in the crook of neck, her arm across his chest, and her leg wrapped around his.

Becky woke to the smell of bacon and fresh coffee. She put on one of Gavin’s t-shirts and walked into the kitchen.

“You really are making breakfast. What time is it?” she asked.

“nine o’clock,” he answered, as he poured two cups of coffee.

“I’m late,” she said. “I still have to go home and get dressed. You were supposed to wake us up early, remember. I have to go.”
