“Bend over, Beautiful One. Let’s get your tail in place.”

She felt the coolness of the lubricant, and then the large bulb of the plug. As promised, he’d chosen one of the larger, bulbous plugs. She nickered in protest, dancing away from the pressure.

He stroked his hand over her lower back until she settled down. “This will only hurt for a moment, Beautiful One. You’ve taken this size before, just not the shape.” He said more, murmuring soothing words to her as he breached the tight ring of muscle and truly made her a pony. Thoughts left her head, and her nostrils flared. She pawed at the floor.

“Good, Beautiful One. That’s my girl.” He stroked her mane and patted her flank. “Today we’re going to work on taking direction. Stand here.”

He waited, staring at her as if he expected her to do something. Samantha didn’t want to practice standing. She had a ton of energy, and she wanted to expend it. As a submissive, she had tons of practice in standing or kneeling and waiting for her an instruction from one of her Doms. This was different. She didn’t feel like a sexual object or like she was there to see to her Master’s needs.

She felt like a pony that wanted to run. For the first time in years, she fidgeted under Lex’s steady gaze. He stroked a hand down her arm and shushed her until she settled down. Then he turned away and shoved the sofa in the center of the room to one side. Samantha took a few steps in the direction of the space he’d cleared, but he was back by her side again.

This time, he had snagged the riding crop, one of her favorite implements. He tapped her thighs and ass, urging her back to the place he’d told her to stay. “That’s it, Beautiful One. Stay there.”

He moved the coffee table and an end table before she skittered out of place again. Mostly, she wanted to see how far she could push him and how he would react. Once again, he patiently herded her back into place.

By the time he’d finished moving all the furniture to the walls, she had learned to stay where he put her. The next time she moved out of place, it would be a deliberately bratty behavior.

He rewarded her with strokes and praise. The petting and physical contact took her further into her pony persona, and it felt good. So gloriously good. She wanted to please him, and she reveled in his next order.

“You’re going to learn how to prance. Lift your knees high like the proud pony you are.” He tapped her flank with the flap of his crop, pointing her in the direction he wanted her to go.

She took a step and found the crop under her thigh, lifting her knee higher. He followed her across the room, which he’d turned into a ring, correcting her posture and the height of her steps. He guided her around the ring, slipping in training on how to change direction. She took to it eagerly, soaking up this new kink with all the enthusiasm with which she’d entered the BDSM world.

The hour passed quickly, and she found herself without the time to misbehave. Lex had kept her too busy to slip out of her pony headspace and into brat mode. She whinnied and nickered in protest a few times, but that was a token resistance. To signal the end of their training time, the door opened and Stef came in.

“Hey. We’re running late.” Lex motioned to the coffee table. “Can you grab that? I need to groom her.”

Stefano moved the low table back to the center of the living space. Lex spread two soft blankets on it for padding and guided her onto it. This was the first time he’d put her on all fours, and she hoped he didn’t do it to piss Stef off. She didn’t mind being in that position, but Lex had been clear that he preferred her to be a two-legged pony.

She was aware of Stefano watching as Lex rubbed his hands over her body to begin the cooldown process. He used the rubber brush, but he skipped the rough-bristled one this time, opting to go straight for the silky brush. Samantha felt herself growing closer to Lex. Love and affection burst from her heart and submission enveloped her soul.

Though she didn’t want to leave the space she was in, she didn’t protest when he removed her bridle and tail. With a sigh, she knelt up on the table.

“Thank you, Lex. That was wonderful.”

Stefano looked from her to Alexei, and a special kind of understanding dawned in his eyes. “How are you feeling, Sammy?”

“So relaxed,” she said. “I’m ready for that sandwich.”

He crooked his finger at her, and she went to him. “Let’s start with an appetizer.” His mouth closed over hers, warm and insistent. He possessed her, and when he wrapped his arms around her and lifted her against the hard planes of his body, she melted into him.

Naked flesh pressed against her backside, and she reached back to welcome Lex. He kissed her neck and bit her shoulder. When Stef released her lips, she twisted her body so that he could plunder her mouth with his tongue.

They took her to the bedroom. She helped Stef undress and Lex shed his boxers. Stef lay back on the bed as Lex pushed her toward him, guiding her to straddle his brother. She responded on a deeper and more submissive level than she had in a long time. Whether that was due to the pony session or the fact that she finally had her Doms with her for an extended period of time, she didn’t know, and she didn’t care to know.

Stef’s cock nudged the opening to her pussy. She sank down on him and leaned forward, resting her chest against his. Lex moved to his position behind her. His crown sank into the tight ring guarding her back entrance. She exhaled and luxuriated in the familiar burn. The plug for the tail was as wide as Lex, but it hadn’t been nearly as long.

She hefted herself up, taking her weight on her hands. They began with an alternating rhythm. Stef slid in as Lex slid out. She pushed against them both, undulating her hips to take each man fully as he thrust home.

Hands moved over her skin, light and hard caresses that made the tingling between her legs more insistent. Stef squeezed her nipple and rolled it between his fingers. He tugged and yanked, not bothering to temper his pressure or force. Spiky edges of pain radiated from her nipples to her pussy, making the sensations almost too much.

“Please,” she said, nearly sobbing. “Please let me come.”

“Yes, Sammy. Come as many times as you want.”

She did, but they weren’t finished with her. Not even close. They increased their pace, forcing the intensity of her orgasm to multiply. She fought the onslaught, but they held her between them. Secure in their superior strength, she surrendered completely.

Lex slapped her ass and thighs as he fucked her. Stefano tortured her breasts. Both men paused to demand kisses, and Lex bit her shoulder hard. Mindlessly caught between pleasure and pain, and utterly tamed, she let the climax batter her until her sense of self vanished.

Samantha spent the rest of the day with Sophia and Tessa, going over designs. At dinner, she met Lex and Stef back at their suite. Drew and Neal were cooking for the six of them tonight, and there was no way she was going to miss whatever delectable delights they were concocting.

They met in Sophia’s suite. Wondrous aromas filled the hall, and the smell only got stronger when Sophia answered their knock.

Lex and Stef had spent the day working—Samantha couldn’t throw stones, though she wished they’d take a day off—so this was the first time they’d seen Drew in months. Drew greeted each man with a hearty hug, and when he finished, Sophia brought Neal forward.

“This is Neal,” Sophia said. She held his hand in hers, and she rested her head possessively on his shoulder. “He completes us.”

Samantha didn’t take her show of possession as an indication that she felt threatened by anybody, only that she liked showing that Neal belonged to her. Since she loved when Lex and Stef did that kind of stuff with her, Samantha understood the gesture.

Neal wore a royal blue snakeskin collar. Samantha traced her fingertip over the delicate chain Alexei and Stefano had given her shortly after she’d moved into their Miami home. She liked to think that each submissive’s collar was a reflection of who they were, and so she pegged Neal as a strong submissive.

&
nbsp; He noticed where her attention had gone, and he threw a smile in her direction. “I’m not in sub mode right now, but I like to wear it anyway.”

Drew touched the collar. He didn’t say anything, but the possessive gleam in his pale blue eyes matched the one in Sophia’s brown ones. “We’re making shrimp tempura. It’s simple and tasty. We were going to put Sophia in charge of the dessert, but she decided to take a nap instead.”

Sophia shrugged. “It’s not like I got to stay in bed all day like you two.”

The grin on Neal’s face told its own tale. He leaned down and kissed Sophia’s head. “Mistress, I assure you—we were not resting.”

Sam didn’t think that admission helped his case much.

“Lex, Stef, help yourselves,” Drew said, motioning toward the wet bar.

“What does everybody want?” Lex asked as he crossed the room. They all placed drink orders, and Lex got to work.

Samantha helped Sophia set the table. “If Neal isn’t in sub mode right now, why did he use your title?”

“He likes to.” Sophia straightened out a place setting. “You’ll hear him refer to Drew as ‘Chef.’ He uses it in place of ‘Sir’ or ‘Master.’ It’s funny to see them at work because they all refer to Drew as ‘Chef,’ but when Neal says it, Drew pays immediate attention.”

They all chatted amiably, catching up and finding out new things about the new addition to Sophie and Drew’s relationship, until dinner was served.

Over bites of tempura—Neal had concocted a sweet hot pepper sauce that made Samantha’s taste buds dance with glee—Sophia picked up the thread of the discussion Samantha had begun earlier.

“I notice you don’t use titles with Alexei and Stefano. When did that stop?”

“It never started,” Stefano said. “We tried to insist upon that as a protocol, but Sammy didn’t like it.”

Lex added his piece. “And we like when she says our names. She’d the one person who never mixes us up. Even blindfolded, she can tell who is who.”

Samantha shrugged. “I sometimes use a title if we’re alone and I’m deep in the zone. I don’t have a complete objection to titles.”

“That’s funny,” Drew said. “I remember in high school how you used to make your girlfriends use your titles until your dad put a stop to it.”

This was news to Samantha. She put down her piece of shrimp. “What’s this?”

“He said we weren’t real Doms yet, and we weren’t going to get that way by playacting with a bunch of high school girls,” Lex said. “This wasn’t long after our mother passed away. You can imagine the fights we had.”

Since Samantha had seen Lex pissed at his father, she could picture it. The first time she’d met Dmitri Morozov, she’d been afraid that Lex’s temper would lead to a physical altercation. She’d stepped between the men, and Lex’s fury had cooled to a manageable level.

“He was right,” Stefano said. “At the time we didn’t think so, but what teenager thinks they don’t know everything?”

Neal gazed at Sophia with a thoughtful expression on his face. She closed her hand over his. “They all do. I think we’ve all done things as teens, and we see the naiveté of our actions in hindsight.”

He lifted her hand and kissed her fingers. “Indeed, Mistress.”

The interaction touched Samantha deeply, though she knew there was subtext that was none of her business. She put her hand on Alexei’s knee. He wasn’t going to be happy to see a physician when they got to New York. She was looking forward to the day he could look at what she and Stefano were doing and put it into proper perspective.

“We continue to grow as people throughout our lives,” Samantha said. Seeking reassurance, she rubbed Lex’s thigh. “I can look back at things I said or did a year ago and understand more about the implications now. I’m sure the same thing will be true in the future when I look back on my life now.”

Under the table, Alexei took her hand in his, providing the solace she sought. “Standing up for what you want is something that should always be a source of pride.”

She hoped he thought so when she got him to the doctor’s office. In the four years they’d been together, she’d never once tricked him or lied to him. Now she was doing both. Having a pure motivation had better be enough to justify her actions. She was both proud and afraid of the woman she was becoming.

The conversation turned a corner, and they spent the rest of the meal discussing plans for Sanctuary, and the problems presented by the contractor, who Samantha and Sabrina were both convinced couldn’t be left unsupervised.

“Fire him,” Stefano said. Alexei, Drew, and Neal concurred.

“We have to talk with Ellen first,” Sophia said. “But I think I have an idea about who I want to replace him. I’ll need to make a few phone calls. We’ll keep him in place until we find his replacement.”

Samantha agreed to that. On either side of her, Lex and Stef exchanged a look, but neither said a word. If Sam read it correctly, they were admitting that she needed to figure out the business world without them peering over her shoulder and micromanaging her moves. She also thought she read a growing respect for her business skills, but she could have been reading a little too much into it.

That night, she went for a walk on the beach with Stef. They held hands as the sun melted into the horizon.

“Have you decided to fire that asshole yet?”

Samantha shrugged. It wasn’t her primary concern. “We’re waiting on Ellen to weigh in. Sophia has an idea for a replacement, but we have to make sure they’re available first.”

Stef lifted her hand to his lips and smooched her palm. “I’m feeling really guilty about lying to Lex. My whole life, he’s the only person to whom I’ve never considered being untruthful. I can’t imagine what you’re going through.”

The longer this went on, the less bad Samantha felt about it. “He needs to see a doctor. You and I both know he won’t go willingly. The more I think about it, the more I’m convinced we’re doing the right thing.”

“I know it’s the right thing.” Stefano drew her closer so that their arms brushed as they walked. “That’s the only reason I haven’t caved to my conscience. It’s funny—I can lie to business partners with no problem, but this eats at me.”

They arrived at a cluster of rocks. Waves lapped at them gently, the soft slap-slap reminding Samantha of a good spanking. Stefano stopped and turned them to face the sunset.

“It’s beautiful,” he said. “No matter where I am, no matter what I’m doing, I always stop to look at the sunset because it reminds me of you.”

Samantha leaned her head on his shoulder, and he put his arm around her. They stayed like that as the sun disappeared.

They meandered back to the resort. Light from the hotels and outdoor areas kept them from being completely in the dark. When they were almost to the promenade, Stefano swept Samantha into his arms for an impromptu dance.

She giggled and went along with it. “I love when you get like this.”

“Like what?” Stef delivered his question with an air of innocence, but Samantha knew he was fishing for compliments.

“When you let loose and show your fun side.”

“I show my fun side all the time,” he scoffed.

Samantha shook her head. “You’ve spent your whole life reining in impulses like this.”

He dipped her. “I used to get into trouble when I gave in and went with impulses like this.”

He brought her up slowly. She grabbed his gaze and held it. “Not with me, Stef. I don’t want you to ever feel like you have to rein in your impulses with me. I love when you’re happy and carefree.”

She loved that she could bring this out in him. It made her heart soar to know she could affect him so greatly.

“And I love you,” he said as he drew his fingertips down her cheek. “Always.”

  Chapter Eleven

  “Did you misbehave?”

Sammy shook her head. Her golde
n curls shimmered in the dim light of the nighttime plane. “I didn’t have a chance.”

Stefano stared at her, dumbfounded. “Didn’t have a chance? You had an entire hour to be deliberately bad.” And Alexei had looked so much better. Training a pony invigorated him. Years of stress had been stripped from his brother’s face. The frantic energy that had radiated from him had been replaced by a calm assertiveness. Both of them had glowed in a way he hadn’t seen in far too long.

Thoughts rolled around in her mind, taking time to coalesce. “I know. I talked to Peaches about it. He said that since we’re both learning, we’re probably less inclined to play around like that. Once I get more experience, learn to read him better, then I can experiment with naughtiness.” She scratched a light caress up and down his forearm. “You rewarded me anyway. Regrets?”

Not a one. He’d instructed her to misbehave because Lex had said she wanted to explore that side of herself. When he’d returned from his stroll, both of them were in a contented, serene headspace.

“Nope. You’re still okay with being reduced to animal status?”

“Stef? It doesn’t feel like a reduction. If anything, it elevates me. It’s like when you have me naked and bound, the way you look at me makes me feel special—loved and cherished, revered for something only I can give you. Are you jealous?”

Maybe a little. “You and him have never had anything before that excludes me. It’s going to take me some time to come to terms with it.”

She lifted the armrest dividing his seat from hers. Across from them, Lex was stretched out over three seats, sleeping deeply. She put his arm around her and snuggled into his side. “It doesn’t mean I love you less or him more. If you want to play pirates some more with me, I’m game for it. You make a dashing buccaneer.”

  “Buccaneers were the good guys.”

She chuckled. “They were bad guys with a license to plunder.”
