She frowned when she saw Omar standing there with a judgmental look on his face. He seemed to be enjoying taunting her as two other men stood there with amused smirks on their faces.
“Get the fuck away from my table Omar. You better not talk about nobody crying how my husband had you bawling like a bitch in your own house,” Kalani snapped angrily.
“Husband? Please tell me that you didn’t really marry that psychopath,” Omar said as he scanned her hand for a ring. When he saw it, he shook his head in pity.
“Walk away Omar. I’m telling you this for your own good,” Kalani warned.
“Or what?” Omar challenged.
“Or I’m about to knock your pussy ass the fuck out,” Remo gritted as he peeked his head from underneath the table.
His face was slick with Kalani’s juices but he didn’t give a fuck. Omar must have had a death wish to even approach his wife on some bullshit. All the color drained from Omar’s face as he locked eyes with the man who still had him looking over his shoulder. He had his home secured like Fort Knox and the cameras recorded whatever he missed. Remo and Nas had him scared to sleep home for a while and he didn’t want trouble with them again. Instead of replying, Omar and his friends damn near ran to the exit and out to their cars. Remo was ready to finish what he started but the ringing of his phone stopped him from doing so. If it were anybody else, he would have let it ring. Since it was Nas calling, he picked up on the third ring.
“I need you, bro. It’s some serious shit going down. Track my phone and come to me right now,” Nas said before he hung up. Remo didn’t know what was up but he knew that it had to be something serious. He hurriedly stood to his feet and threw some money on the table. Kalani knew that something was wrong, so she didn’t ask any questions. Remo grabbed her hand and they rushed out of the restaurant and straight to his car.
It felt like hours but only a few minutes had passed since Toi had been taken from the store. Her phone was vibrating in her pocket but she was too afraid to answer it. She thought about Stori and how she must have been feeling right now. If nobody else in the world loved her, she knew that her big sister did.
“Call and tell that nigga that we’re out here,” one of the men said when the car came to a stop.
Toi didn’t know where they were but she heard the faint sound of music in the distance. One of the men called and told someone that they were outside waiting on him. Toi’s heart started beating even faster. She just knew that she was going to be raped by three men instead of two. She remembered her and Stori watching a documentary on human trafficking and she was scared that she was about to be a victim. All kinds of crazy thoughts were running through her head as she awaited her fate.
“There he go,” one of the men said, making Toi tremble with fear.
“What you niggas trying to spend?” someone walked up to the car and asked.
“We got a bill,” the man who was in the back of the car with Toi answered.
“The fuck y’all got going on like that?” he asked.
“Man, you should come with us. This bitch about to break me and my bro off proper. Virgin pussy at that,” the man who was driving said excitedly.
“Yeah right. I doubt if they even have virgins left around this bitch. These hoes got more bodies than the city morgue,” the man outside the car laughed.
“Nah man, she really is a pure one,” the driver assured him.
“Check it out for yourself. Get up lil bitch. And I dare you to try swinging again,” he warned as he pulled Toi up by her hair.
“The fuck! Man, open the door! Open the muthafucking door nigga!” Eno demanded as he pulled on the door handle.
When they took too long, he reached his hand in through the window and unlocked the door himself. Eno knew Toi very well and he knew that shit was about to get real. Nas was going to be out for blood and so was Stori.
“Aye nigga. The fuck is you doing?” the man who was in the back with Toi yelled when Eno pulled her out of the car. Both men jumped out of the car but Eno was unbothered. Toi had never been so happy to see Eric’s brother before in her life. Once she was out of the car, she realized that they were standing in front of Nas and Remo’s strip club.
“Are you okay Toi? Did them niggas do anything to you?” Eno asked as she gripped his shirt tightly and trembled in fear.
“No, I’m okay,” Toi said in a shaky voice.
“How do you know her?” one of the men asked Eno.
“Y’all niggas are in some shit that only God can get you out of,” Eno said as he pulled his phone from his back pocket.
“What! We didn’t even do shit. That nigga Corey put us on to her. He said that her people own him some money. He wanted us to snatch her and hold her down until they paid up!” one of the men yelled.
It was only then did Toi really get a good look at them. They were young and both of them had tattoos on their faces with gold teeth in their mouth. They looked scary and sneaky as hell. There was no doubt in her mind that they would have done a little bit of everything to her and more. She was so thankful that they decided to stop for weed first.
“What people, dumb ass? That nigga is a fucking lie. This is Nas’ sister-in-law and he don’t even run in the same circle as Corey,” Eno said as he dialed Nas’ phone number.
“Man fuck! I swear bruh, that nigga Corey put us in this bullshit!” one of them yelled in a panic.
“Tell Nas that we ain’t have shit to do with all that! Corey and his bitch paid us to do it!” his brother yelled.
They didn’t really know Nas but they had tried to get put on with him and his brother before. Eno was making some good money and they wanted in on it. That didn’t happen but they still got their weed from him all the time. They knew Eno very well and he was who they called to serve them.
“Answer the damn phone!” Eno yelled when the voicemail picked up for the second time.
“Man Eno, put in a good word for us bruh. This shit ain’t on us and we didn’t even do nothing to her,” one of the brothers said.
“You hit me so fuck you!” Toi yelled angrily. Eno looked at her, shocked to hear her sound so upset. He had been around Toi a few times before and she was always so nice and sweet.
“Let’s go man,” the brother who was driving said as he hurried back to the car. His brother had barely closed the door before he sped off and away from the club.
“What’s good Eno? I’m headed that way now,” Nas said when he finally answered the phone. Eric was still tracking Toi’s phone and it was taking them in the direction of his club.
“Man, come to the club. I got Toi here,” Eno replied.
“The fuck! How did she get there?” Nas asked.
“I’ll tell you about it when you get here,” Eno replied before he hung up.
It only took about five minutes before Nas was pulling up, with Remo driving up right behind him. Eric was the first one to jump out of the car and rush over to Toi.
“Are you okay Toi?” he asked as he pulled her into a tight hug.
“What happened baby?” Stori asked as she pulled her close once Eric let her go.
“We need to talk Nas,” Eno said as he looked over at him.
Dame and Johnny were the two brothers who Toi was in the car with and Eno grew up with them. They used to be his neighbors for a few years before their mother got put out of her house. The brothers were always into something and the police stayed kicking down their door. The landlord got fed up and he eventually evicted them from his house. The two brothers stayed in and out of jail and their mother was always happy when they went. They gave her hell and treated her like shit. Eno remembered his grandmother having to stop them from fighting her several times before but that never stopped them from doing it. Although he was very familiar with them, his loyalty was to Nas. It was because of Nas that he wasn’t out there robbing and killing to make money. Nas was the one who made sure that he and his brother ate and never wanted for anything. He would be indebted to him
forever and nothing would ever change that.
“Take the car and go home baby. I’ll ride back with Remo,” Nas said as he looked at Stori. He looked at Toi and got pissed when he saw that her lip was busted. He didn’t really want to talk in front of her but he knew that she would tell Stori what happened.
“Go back to the house with sis, Kalani. And if some shit pop off, you and Toi hide and let Stori handle it,” Remo spoke up.
“Fuck you, Kareem. Come on y’all,” Kalani said as she walked over to Stori’s car.
Eric got into the back seat with Toi while Stori drove and Kalani rode up front. Once they were gone, Nas, Remo and Eno went into the club and straight upstairs to the office. Since they no longer managed the place full time, they didn’t leave their money there anymore. Bee, Shaq and Eno shared the office now and they were the only other ones to have a key. Bee and Shaq were busy running things on the main floor, so they had the office to themselves for a while.
“What’s good Eno?” Nas asked as soon as they sat down.
“I know them niggas who snatched Toi,” Eno replied.
“Talk to me,” Nas requested.
He and Remo listened as Eno told them everything that he knew. That nigga Corey obviously had a death wish that they were about to fulfill. Nas knew that the woman in question had to be Milan. Misty used to always say that she was crazy and had trouble letting go. She was probably used to dealing with professional men who got the police involved. Unfortunately for her, street justice was all that Nas and Remo knew.
“Damn man. Now I gotta kill four muthafuckers instead of two. They making it hard as fuck for a nigga to get into heaven,” Remo sighed.
“Run them cameras back bro. I need to see something,” Nas said as he sat there deep in thought. All he needed was a license plate number and his people at the DMV could do the rest. He didn’t want to run up on them niggas too soon because they would probably be expecting it. Nas wanted to make them think that everything was all good before he went to pay them a visit.
“Got that ass,” Remo said as soon as he saw the car come into view on the camera.
He was mad when Nas first told him how much the security system would cost them and he even tried to protest. His brother was right, as usual, and that’s why he always followed his lead. The cameras showed both men’s faces clearly when they got out of the car. When they pulled off, Nas got a perfect shot of their plates as well. He printed up a few things before he and Remo decided to call it a night.
“What’s the plan bro? What do you wanna do?” Remo asked as he drove towards his brother’s house.
“Nothing. My head ain’t on straight and I got something that’s much more important to think about right now,” Nas replied.
“I feel you bro. Let’s get through this next month before we do anything else.” Remo nodded.
“T hese niggas getting fat as fuck,” Remo said as he and Nas held and fed the babies.
“Stori be putting food in their bottles and shit. These niggas greedy as fuck. We’ll be up every hour feeding them if she don’t,” Nas replied as he put Nakeem on his shoulder to burp him.
“Which one am I holding?” Remo asked as he looked down at his nephew.
“That’s Junior,” Nas replied.
“Damn man. Now I see why Jarvis used to be going crazy all the time. How the fuck do you know one from the other?” Remo questioned.
“I don’t even know bro. I just do.” Nas shrugged.
The babies were three months old now and looked exactly like Nas and Remo. Everybody complained about not being able to tell them apart, so Stori ordered some identity bracelets from their pediatrician. Nas couldn’t wait for the bracelets to come in because he was tired of people playing the guessing game. His boys were truly identical, just like him and Remo.
“What’s good with them two fuck boys? Did Eno find out anything else on them?” Nas asked.
“Them niggas were still locked up as of two days ago. He pulled up the prison website just to be sure. They get a pass for at least another week. All bets are off after that,” Nas answered.
Nas and Remo now knew where the two brothers, Dame and Johnny, lived, thanks to his connect at the DMV. They waited an entire week before they got on their bikes and decided to go take a ride in the area. Nas wasn’t trying to do anything. He just wanted to see what the area looked like. It was purely coincidental that the brothers got locked up the very same day and were still in jail now. As bad as he wanted them, he wanted Corey and Milan even more. His contact at the DMV couldn’t find anything on either one of them and that pissed Nas off even more. The address that Corey had on his license was of an old abandoned house. Milan had never updated her info and she still had the apartment that she shared with Nas listed as her address. It was all good though. Nas had his ways of finding out whatever he needed to know. He and Stori were just happy that things turned out the way they did. Had them niggas not stopped by Eno for weed, there was no telling what they would have done to Toi. Stori was happy that her sister was safe and Toi seemed to be okay after the initial fear wore off. Stori fussed at her for leaving by herself while it was dark outside and Toi swore that she had learned her lesson. She had been scared straight and promised to never do it again.
“Where you want me to lay him at bro?” Remo asked as he stood up with his now sleeping nephew in his arms.
“His name is on the blanket in his crib. Lay him on his back,” Nas instructed.
“I need all the practice I can get before I get me some little ones. I just hope mine come one at a time though,” Remo laughed.
“Come on baby. We need to go home and get dressed,” Kalani said as she and Stori walked into the babies room. Stori had just done her hair and makeup and Nas gave Remo a fresh cut.
“I still feel weird about bringing them to this party. I wish Jarvis and Latrice were available to babysit,” Stori spoke up.
They were all going to Lady’s house for her and Richard’s all-white party and Stori didn’t have a babysitter. Jarvis and Latrice had plans and everybody else that she trusted to watch them would be at the party too. She knew that her grandmother wouldn’t mind but she would never want her to watch two babies all by herself.
“You know it’s not gon’ even be that kind of party baby. Richard don’t look like the type to have no trap music playing and shit. We might be sitting around eating cucumber sandwiches while somebody plays the piano in the background,” Nas said, making them all laugh.
“Nah, Lady said that she hired a soul food caterer. She got everything at her house for the boys that we have here, so it might not be too bad.” Stori shrugged.
“My lil niggas gon’ be fresh to death in their all white gear,” Remo said as he watched Nas lay the other sleeping baby in his crib. Remo smiled when Nas grabbed the baby monitor before they all walked out of the room. His brother was a natural when it came to fatherhood and he was confident that he would be too.
“What time are you picking Eric up Nas?” Toi asked as she held the phone up to her ear.
“You and Eric are getting on people’s nerves,” Stori fussed.
“Tell that nigga to relax. The party don’t start for another four hours,” Nas replied.
“He said can you pay for him a cab?” Toi asked, repeating what Eric had just said to her.
“Yeah man, tell his disgusting ass to come on,” Nas said while shaking his head.
Eric and Toi were both annoying as hell. Nas understood puppy love, so he didn’t fuss about it as much as Stori did. She liked the way that Eric respected her sister and she was cool with him coming over too. Once they saw Remo and Kalani off, Nas and Stori got their clothes together and made sure that they had everything for the babies. Stori and Toi’s hair were in pin curls, so there was nothing left for them to do. Eric had arrived but he wasn’t dressed. Nas had purchased him an outfit but it was still on the hanger.
“What are y’all in here cooking?” Stori asked when she walked into the kitc
hen.
“Pancakes,” Toi replied as she put another one on the plate that Eric was holding in his hand. She fixed one for Stori and they all sat around eating and talking.
A few hours later, Lady showed up to get the babies while Nas and Stori got dressed. Since Toi and Eric were ready, they helped her bring the babies to her house.
“Let me get some right quick,” Nas said as he walked up to Stori and hugged her from behind.
“Hell no, Naseem. Your idea of a quickie is not quick,” Stori laughed.
“Ten minutes baby, please,” Nas begged.
“No Naseem. You told me that this morning and had me in the bathroom for over an hour,” Stori said as she continued to apply her makeup.
“Alright, I want you to remember that shit too,” Nas said as he slapped her on the ass.
“I got you when we come home baby. I don’t want to mess up my hair and makeup,” Stori promised.
“Don’t try to go to sleep on me either,” Nas warned.
“I’m not,” Stori said as she put some nude lipstick on her lips.
Nas smiled as he openly admired the woman he loved. Stori’s makeup was flawless and the white Chanel dress that she wore hugged her new curves perfectly. She had a fresh sew-in and the curls cascaded down her back flawlessly. Stori claimed that she was five pounds away from where she needed to be, but Nas disagreed. She was perfect to him and he didn’t want her to change a thing.
“My boys got that body looking right,” Nas said as he palmed her ass and looked at their reflection in the mirror.
“Smile baby,” Stori said as she took a few pictures of them to post on Instagram.
Nas was never the type to pose for pictures with a female, but Stori had him doing everything differently. He used to only post for his businesses but Stori and his boys were all over his Facebook and Instagram pages. For the first time ever, he was happy being with only one woman and he wanted everybody to know it. Women came at him all the time but he was good.
