Worst Case Scenario Page 36

He was trying to do better but niggas just wouldn’t let him be great. He left all the hoes alone and was a faithful husband but that obviously wasn’t good enough. Niggas didn’t like it when he was Kareem. They wanted to awaken the beast known as Remo but he was ready for whatever.

“What’s pissing me off is the stupid shit that these dummies are doing. How the fuck you try to rob somebody but you call them outside to you? Just like them other lil niggas who snatched Toi. What kind of niggas kidnap somebody and ride with them inside the car? That’s what the trunk is for,” Nas said while shaking his head.

“These niggas are lame as fuck and trying to come at us on some hoe shit. Lil ass boys trying to play a grown man’s game. I’m done with this cat and mouse bullshit bro. I want these niggas dead and that bitch Milan too. At least the lil niggas that shot you had enough sense to skate out of town. These lil bold bitches must be on some other shit,” Remo fumed.

“Let’s go take a ride,” Nas said as he got up and walked out of the office.

Remo followed behind him, never bothering to ask where they were going. Nas always had a plan that he never had a problem following. When they got into the car, they were quiet as Nas drove to their destination. Remo had been to Dame and Johnny’s house before, so he knew exactly where they were headed.

“Look bro, follow them niggas,” Remo said when they turned on their street and saw the car that the two brothers were in pulling away from the house.

Nas followed right behind the car but not too close. They couldn’t tell who was driving because the windows were tinted. He drove for less than ten minutes before the car came to a stop in the parking lot of a strip mall. Remo had his gun out, making sure that it had enough bullets to get the job done. He would never start shooting in such a crowded area but he didn’t mind following them until the opportunity presented itself. Nas parked a few cars over and waited for someone to exit the car. When the doors opened, the occupants of the car were not who he expected them to be.

“Look at this shit bro. Them niggas are dumb as fuck. They out here doing dirt in their mama’s car like it ain’t nothing. They better be lucky that we’re not some grimy ass niggas. Anybody else would have knocked their mama’s head off just to send a message to them,” Nas fussed. They watched as two older ladies exited the car and walked into one of the stores in the strip mall. Nas remembered Eno telling him how dirty the brothers did their mother and he felt pity for a woman that he didn’t even know. He loved his mother unconditionally up until the day she died. He couldn’t see himself putting his hands on her in any way other than to hug her. He and Remo wished that their mother was still alive while other niggas were out there taking theirs for granted.

“That’s fucked up. A lot of innocent people lose their lives like that,” Remo spoke up.

“It’s all good though. Them niggas are living on borrowed time and I put that on mama’s grave,” Nas fumed.

“I want that nigga Corey too,” Remo said as his brother pulled off.

“No worries bro. Them lil niggas gon’ tell us everything that we want to know,” Nas assured him. He drove Remo back to the club to get his car. Nas had to get his head on straight and he wasn’t quite there yet. He hadn’t even been able to really enjoy being married because bullshit just kept getting thrown at him. Nas understood where Remo was coming from and he felt the exact same way. All he wanted to do was live a normal life with his wife and kids and nobody was going to change that.

“W here did Bee get this piece of shit from? This bitch looks like it’s on its way to car heaven,” Remo said as he and Nas sat in the raggedy car that their cousin had loaned them.

“I don’t know but I’ve been itching since I got up in this bitch,” Nas replied while scratching at his arm.

An entire week had passed before they decided to go pay the brothers another visit. Nas had learned a few things during that time and he was ready to put in some work. Stori was still on edge about what happened to Toi and she refused to let her leave the shop if someone wasn’t with her. She didn’t care if it was daylight outside. Toi never went anywhere alone.

“Look bro,” Remo said when the door opened and Dame came walking out of the house.

Their mother ran out behind him, followed by his brother. The older woman was yelling but they couldn’t make out what she was saying. Nas was parked too far away but Remo rolled down the window to listen. Apparently, the woman didn’t want them to take her car but they weren’t trying to hear that. They were cursing her out like she was a bitch on the street and they didn’t even feel bad about it.

“Damn! That’s fucked up!” Nas yelled when he saw one of the brothers push their mother, almost making her fall.

“Them niggas are going straight to hell and we’re the niggas that’s about to send them,” Remo said as he cocked his gun.

Nas’ heart dropped when he saw the way they were handling their mother. He would knock his sons on their asses if they even looked at Stori wrong. Eno and Eric’s mother was a crackhead and they still treated her with respect.

“I’m mad as fuck right now,” Nas said as he watched one of them grab their mother by her shirt and push her back inside.

They were cursing her out and laughing like the shit was funny. She was obviously afraid of them because she never came back out. When the brothers pulled off, Nas was right behind them. He watched as they stopped for gas and to another store for liquor. When they pulled up to the projects, they pulled into an area that was too well lit for Nas and Remo’s liking.

“Fuck! Them street lights are bright as fuck. Nobody is out here but that’s still not a good look,” Remo said as he looked around the area. He screwed the silencers on his and Nas’ guns, ready to shoot without being heard.

“Relax bro. Just be patient,” Nas said as he watched the two men exit the car.

Remo’s leg bounced impatiently as he and Nas played the waiting game. Almost another hour passed before the brothers walked out of the house laughing as if they weren’t about to die soon. Nas started following them again until they pulled up to a rundown apartment complex. The entire area looked abandoned and there was not a working light in sight.

“Let’s do this,” Nas said as he put the car in park and left it running. He and Remo didn’t even bother to mask up because they didn’t plan to leave any witnesses.

The brothers got out of the car, not even paying attention to their surroundings. Nas let off a silent shot, hitting one of them right in the head. His body hit the ground before he even realized what had happened. Remo hit his brother in the leg, temporarily disabling him for a minute.

“Ahh!” the man yelled out as he fell to the ground. He looked over and saw his brother’s lifeless body on the ground and his eyes filled with tears. Nas and Remo kneeled close to him, so that he could see exactly who they were.

“Don’t cry now nigga. You weren’t crying when you snatched up my sister-in-law,” Nas gritted.

“I know you ain’t crying over your bitch ass brother. Save your tears lil nigga. You’ll be reunited with him again real soon,” Remo fumed.

“One chance and one chance only. Where is Corey?” Nas asked.

“Milan’s house in Harvey,” the man cried as he rattled off the address like the hoe he was.

“You done talking to this nigga bro? We gotta get a move on,” Remo said.

“Finish him,” Nas replied as he stood up to his full height and walked back to the car. Remo let off two shots to his head and one more to his brother’s head before he got back into the car.

“That nigga dumb as fuck. He knew he was about to die and he still gave up the info,” Remo said while shaking his head.

“They need to stay in their lanes. Lil niggas don’t even be built for the life that they’re trying to live. You can see that by how sloppy they move. Corey been doing the same shit for all these years and ain’t get ahead yet. Backwards hustling and robbing niggas is not where it’s at. Milan got herself in some shit that on
ly death can get her out of,” Nas replied.

“Damn man. Ole girl gotta bury two of her kids now,” Remo said as he thought about Dame and Johnny’s mother.

“It might sound fucked up but we probably did her a favor. Them niggas did that lady dirty,” Nas replied.

  “Where to now?” Remo asked.

“Home to my wife and kids. I think we’ve shed enough blood for the night,” Nas answered.

“Two down and two to go,” Remo noted.

“I thought this part of our life was over with,” Nas sighed.

“It’ll never be over with as long as niggas think they can try you. I told you from day one that I didn’t trust that bitch Milan. She was trying too hard to take you from Alissa. That bitch is unstable,” Remo argued.

“So am I,” Nas replied as they pulled up to the club.

Bee came out and got his keys from them before Nas and Remo left to go their separate ways. When Nas got home, Stori was just putting one of the babies in his crib. She grabbed the monitor and followed him down the hall to their bedroom.

“You good baby?” Stori asked as she pulled his shirt over his head for him.

  “Yeah, for now,” Nas replied.

“What do you mean?” Stori questioned.

“Grab the monitor and let’s take a shower,” he replied as he walked into the bathroom.

He and Stori didn’t keep secrets from each other and that was the part of their relationship that he loved the most. She knew everything, even the shit that could get him sent away for life. Stori was on the same shit that he was on and she showed him just how much she had his back. She was pissed to know that Corey was behind everything that was going on and she was baffled as to why. They had a relationship years ago but it had been over for a long time. If he was salty about that, he had years to retaliate if that’s what he wanted to do. Corey was grimy so nothing that he did surprised her. Milan had more motive than he did and she proved that by her actions.

As they showered, Nas told her everything that went down. She was pissed that Milan hadn’t been dealt with yet but Nas promised her that she would be. He didn’t have no kind of compassion towards her being his ex-wife. She was coming after his queen and, for that, she had to die.

“Bitch, remind me again of why we came to this location,” Stori said as she looked over at Kalani.

“Because it’s closer to my house and the other location be too damn crowded,” Kalani noted as she did a slow jog on the treadmill.

She and Stori were at the gym and her girl had been complaining since they got there. The men were relentless and they flirted like it was a sport. Stori got tired of telling them that she was married and Kalani did too. They flashed their wedding rings a million times but that was a waste. None of the men seemed to care and they were still trying to flirt. They had been there for over an hour and nothing had changed.

“I hate coming to the gym at night. You should go early in the morning before work like I do. Nobody be in there and it’s peaceful. These niggas are thirsty as fuck up in here,” Stori frowned.

“Don’t even talk to me about work. I hope Nas tell them to hurry up and finish the renovations on the shop. I hate working in the store by myself,” Kalani frowned.

“You’re not by yourself. You got the two security guards in there with you,” Stori laughed.

“That’s not funny bitch. I don’t know them niggas and Remo got them scared to even talk to me,” Kalani fussed.

“Nas said that it shouldn’t be too much longer. They’re doing a good job,” Stori replied.

The workers had to knock down a wall in the shop to make the property next door a part of it. They replaced the floors and built in some shelves for the hair and hair supplies to go on. Everything was coming along but Kalani was tired of waiting. She couldn’t wait for the day when she would be working alongside her husband and best friend. Things couldn’t get any better than that.

“I hope they speed it up,” Kalani said as a man walked over to them. She laughed when Stori rolled her eyes because she already knew what was up.

“How you doing beautiful? You got a man?” He asked while looking at Stori lustfully.

“No, I don’t have a man but I used to be one,” Stori replied.

“Huh?” the man asked with a puzzled look on his face.

“I’m transgendered but I hope that’s not a problem. What’s your name handsome?” Stori asked as she walked closer to him. She tried to touch his chest but he backed up.

“Uh… I’m good. I got a girl,” the man said as he tripped over his feet trying to get away from them.

“Bitch! Did you just tell that man that you were transgendered?” Kalani asked as she stopped the treadmill and fell out laughing.

“I sure did. Fuck him. I got a dick too,” Stori said, making her friend laugh harder.

“You and Nas are definitely made for each other,” Kalani said as she wiped her face with her towel.

“I’m ready whenever you are. I’m starving,” Stori replied.

“Me too but Kareem wants to go out and eat,” Kalani said as they walked towards the exit.

“Tell that nigga to eat only what’s on the menu this time,” Stori joked. She was weak when Kalani told her about them running into Omar at the restaurant. It was even funnier when Stori learned what Remo was doing at the time.

“You want to stop to grab you something to eat before I bring you back to your car?” Kalani asked. Stori had parked by her house and Kalani drove them to the gym.

“No, I cooked before I left,” Stori replied. Nas and Toi were home with the babies and she made sure to feed them all before she left.

She and Kalani made small talk as she drove. Stori was trying to find something to listen to on the radio when her friend stopped at a red light. She looked up towards a strip mall that they were passing and had to do a double take.

“Pull up over there!” Stori yelled, scaring Kalani.

“For what?” Kalani questioned as she switched lanes.

“I want a smoothie,” Stori replied.

“I thought your hungry ass said that you had food at home,” Kalani reminded her.

As soon as she pulled up to the strip mall, Stori jumped out of the car. Kalani hadn’t even made it to Smoothie King yet, so she didn’t know what her friend was doing. It wasn’t until she saw Stori run up to a car and pull a woman out of it did she realize what was going on. Milan was in line at a fast food restaurant next door and Stori spotted her when they were at the red light. She didn’t even see Stori coming and she didn’t have time to get right and fight back.

“Bitch! You got the right one hoe!” Stori fumed as she repeatedly punched Milan in the face and head. She was hanging halfway out of the car and Stori was trying to pull her all the way out.

“Stori! Get your crazy ass back in this car!” Kalani yelled.

“Bring me my purse friend. I’m about to shoot this bitch,” Stori fumed as she finally succeeded in pulling Milan out of the car. She had her on the ground stomping her in the face and body when Kalani made it over to them.

“Get your crazy ass back in the car. Are you trying to go to jail?” Kalani asked as she pulled her friend away from her opponent.

Milan hurriedly hopped into her car as people watched and recorded. Kalani thought that she was going to drive away but she drove straight towards them instead. She tried to use her car as a weapon and run them over. Thankfully, they jumped back just in time before she could hit them. When she backed up, Stori grabbed her gun from her purse, ready to fill Milan with some hot lead.

“Come on bitch! Come get this work!” Stori yelled as she aimed the gun right at her. When she saw that Stori was holding a weapon, Milan’s common sense kicked in. She was fuming as she sped away in the opposite direction.

“You are the female version of your husband. I don’t see how it took y’all so long to get together,” Kalani said as she shook her head.

  “Stupid bitch better be happy
that you pulled me off of her,” Stori fussed.

She was pissed that Nas and Remo hadn’t caught up to Milan and Corey yet. They went to her last known address but the bitch had already moved. Stori wished that she would have let Kalani follow her to see where she lived but it was too late for that now. Her anger got the best of her and she beat Milan’s ass instead. Knowing that she was partially responsible for what happened to Toi had Stori on another level of anger.

“Your crazy ass is probably on WorldStar by now,” Kalani laughed.

“Good. I’m happy I wore my cute gym clothes today,” Stori replied.

They laughed about the incident but Kalani was happy that a fight was all that took place. Stori was trigger happy and she learned that about her friend a long time ago. She didn’t mind pulling a gun out on somebody and she wasn’t afraid to really use it. Kalani couldn’t wait to tell Remo what happened. Stori was on the same tip as him and Nas and he loved the crazy side of her. Kalani could fight with the best of them but that was as far as she would go. She left the shootouts to her husband, best friend and brother-in-law.

“M an, I love my sister-in-law. Stori be bout that gun play,” Remo said to Nas as he drove the rental car to their destination.

“Yeah but I don’t want her on that dumb shit no more. She can’t be out here fighting and shooting at people like that all the time. We got kids that we have to think about now. My baby temper is bad as fuck,” Nas laughed as he thought about his wife.

No one was shocked to hear about Stori beating Milan’s ass the week before. Milan was being an internet thug again and was sending all kinds of threatening messages to Stori and Nas. They ignored her, just like always, but Nas was ready to put that problem behind them. He hated unfinished business and that’s exactly what Milan and Corey were. He had been going crazy trying to find out their whereabouts but he hadn’t had any luck yet. There was only one person who he knew that could possibly help and they had just pulled up to the house a minute ago. They were just in time because a car had just pulled into the driveway. They waited until they saw someone get out and go inside before they made a move.
