He was so powerfully built she thought he would’ve been able to break Schwarzenegger in half, and yet there was a sleekness to his physique, his great, almost supernatural height making all those muscles less bulky, though still conveying in clear terms the male’s tremendous strength.

Though she knew he was an alien, part of her was almost let down by the fact that, essentially, he looked like a giant, heavily-muscled, human being. Weren’t aliens supposed to be freakish and terrifying?

They’d left the lights of the city now, only encountering the occasional car as he strode down a nearly silent tree-lined lane, the night in full control.

“Where are we going?” she finally asked, her belly beginning to protest at her position, her head swimming from hanging upside down for so long.

Instead of an answer, his hand came down hard on her vulnerable ass, the impact shaking her whole body. She yelped, more out of surprise than pain. The second swat was pure fire though, even through her clothing, and she cried out at the sting, the blow leaving her buttock throbbing. He was so strong!

“More of that when we get to the transport. How much more depends upon how quiet you can be for the remainder of the trip.”

  Asshole.

But she didn’t test him further.

He crossed the street into a park she’d never seen before. It was somewhere along the far eastern fringes of London, a part of the country she’d never been to. Vaulting another ivy-choked iron fence, he picked up the pace still further, dashing across the lush grass in the darkness, the only sound the wind in the trees and the muffled clomps of his feet on the ground.

Then he stopped, a blast of warmth and a hissing sound making her crane her head around. “Holy shit… what is…?”

He dropped her to her feet, turning her toward it, his great hand about the nape of her neck as one might guide an errant toddler.

Fearing her eyes — and her sanity — were completely failing her, a large opening had appeared, seeming to float before them, a warm yellow light spilling out, illuminating the dark night. A ramp had lowered to the ground.

“Up you go,” the alien said, pushing her toward the light.

“No… no. I’m not going anywhere.”

“Yes, you are. You’re adding to the punishment you’ve already got coming every second you delay.”

She tried to look up at him, to meet his brilliant gaze, but his iron grip held her fast. She grunted as she twisted against it.

“Where are you taking me? What are you… going to do?”

He turned her toward him then, and surprising her, he dropped to one knee, his eyes nearly level with hers. His voice softened, though the words filled her with a strange combination of dread and awed fascination.

“First, we’re going to fix that lip, and see to your teeth. Not so bad, right?”

  “But a doctor could…”

The slow shake of his head, and the flash of his brilliant eyes, made her voice trail off, a huge lump in her throat, her heart suddenly pounding. This was actually happening. She knew now this was no dream.

“After we make sure you’re healthy, then I’m going to spank your little bottom for you until you’re crying.”

  “Why?”

Despite being soaked to the bones, her mouth was suddenly desperately dry.

“Two reasons. One, you struck me — and you’ll soon learn that’s never tolerated. There are always consequences for such behavior.” He tilted his head, a smile playing at the corners of his mouth. “And two, I’d like to see how you react to being disciplined. There will likely be much more of it in your future, so I’m interested in knowing how well you take it. It will help me determine what else will be needed once we’re underway.”

Her mind tried to block out the prospect of spanking, and pain, and crying her eyes out, and instead focused on something — anything — else.

“Under…way?” Her voice was a pathetic squeak.

“Yes, underway. Once we’re on course back to my home system, I’ll have some idea on how to proceed. Time to develop a plan.”

Despite the terror rising within her, she couldn’t help blurting the last question, even as he forced her up the steep ramp, the light from inside the craft so bright it made her squint against it.

  “What plan?”

  “Your training plan, of course.”

  Oh no.

  Chapter 3

He appreciated — more than he expected — the way the tight straps made her soft flesh bulge slightly around their cruel stricture.

“You don’t have to do this. I-I won’t say anything.” She said it over and over, as if it were a mantra, her pretty blue eyes wide and frightened. He wasn’t sure what to make of the fact that her fear elicited a strange, contradictory reaction within him. He wanted to comfort her, even though he was the cause of her fright — and yet his cock was even harder.

Part of him actually enjoyed her distress.

The transport’s passenger grav chair was much too large for a human being, especially a female, but it would have to do. She might not like being strapped into it so tightly, but he knew she was going to like her ad hoc accommodations that awaited her on his ship even less.

Just as he knew he couldn’t wait to see her confined within them.

She peered up at him as he ensured her straps were fastened snugly, the reflection of the green and cyan ship’s pre-launch diagnostic display sparkling in her liquid blue eyes, the ghostly code painted across her pale cheek.

“We’re going to be subjected to several Gs as we accelerate, so be ready. The transport will apply an anti-grav field to partially mitigate, but you’re still going to feel it. If you start to pass out, you will need to grunt to stimulate your vagus nerve. And don’t forget to keep breathing — even if it feels like you can’t. You’ll be all right, if you do what I say.”

Her face paled as he gave her the directions. He was unable to suppress the urge to touch her, caressing her cheek for a moment before sitting down in his own seat and fastening his harness.

He opened the team frequency as he cinched down the last strap, the engines already beginning to spool up with a low whine.

“Captain, I’m returning early. I’ll have the transport return to you on auto nav, homing on your location. Transmit squawk when you’re ready for rendezvous.”

“Very good, Lieutenant. I’m almost done here. Prep the ship for gate travel. Time to head home. Meloran out.”

The transport shifted, then lurched upward, floating on the pre-launch air-cushion as the ventral fans kicked on. He looked toward the small lake at the northern end of the park, the craft navigating to that point, dust and leaves swirling about within the beams of the navigation lights. The lake was the primary reason he’d chosen the park as a landing zone. For Survey Corps teams, lift-off over water was always recommended in order to avoid leaving scorch marks behind on the ground.

The only sign of their take-off would be a short-lived cloud of spray and steam. Any witnesses would definitely find it unusual, but most humans could be counted on to keep quiet when speaking up would get them labeled lunatics.

  “Engage mains.”

The ship rocketed straight up with a dull roar, the main engine vibrations, transmitting themselves through his chair, were reduced to a subtle flutter deep in his chest. The acceleration was parabolic and predictable, if not particularly enjoyable for his grunting captive. Her eyes were squeezed tight, her pretty white teeth bared and gritted as she tried to breathe through the Gs.

“We’re almost there,” Kosha said, as the stars in the night sky steadily brightened, the ship already into the upper atmosphere within a minute.

A few seconds later, what color there was in a Terran night had drained fully away, subsiding to the deep black of the interstellar star field. The G forces reduced dramatically, leaving Rose a panting, trembling mess in her chair. Sweat beaded on her forehead, her lips quivering.

“That was… awful.” Then her fac
e went distinctly ashen, and her eyes flew open. “Oh my fucking God… I think I’m going to throw up!”

“Relax now, it’s just freefall. The grav generator will kick on in a moment.”

He found the way her long, red locks floated about her face to be almost magical, a lovely, haunting sight he knew he’d never forget.

Two clicks followed, artificial gravity returning, the weight of her hair going limp across her shoulders once more.

She let out a long, shuddering sigh. “Jesus, I have a whole new appreciation for… astronauts. Felt like my stomach was floating up into my throat.”

“Luckily for you, you’ll only have to do that once. I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve had to go through an escape sequence.”

Rose stayed quiet as the nav computer moved the transport to an intercept course with the Vidu Rei.

Kosha allowed himself to think of what was to come, once he got her back to Yaanfahr. The first problem was how to hide her from Meloran. He thought he had an idea, but it would make her essentially off-limits until they touched down in spaceport. That wouldn’t do. Depriving himself for that long wasn’t an option. He’d have to think on it some more. There was still some time while Meloran was still on the surface.

Humans were not at all unknown to the average Yaanfahri, and stories of Yaanfahri-human congress did circulate around both the academy and within the ranks of the navy itself. He’d never actually met a Yaanfahri who’d managed to smuggle in a human, but it was an open secret that at least a few of them were indeed held clandestinely in Yaanfahri hands. One did not need an excess of imagination to know the purpose of keeping human females.

Especially during his academy days, he’d seen more than a little pornography, much of it themed around the taboo fantasy of Yaanfahri males keeping human female slaves. It was one of the most popular forms of erotic material among the cadets. That itself was ironic, when the weeding out process in the academy consisted of very strict testing and psychological analysis to screen Yaanfahris who might not be able to maintain discipline when exposed to duty among the humans. Recent testing had even been instituted that went so far as to expose potential recruits to sexual images of human females, and humans engaged in copulation. Those Yaanfahri who exhibited any arousal response were washed immediately out of the Survey Corps. Though Kosha generally regarded humans as interesting and complex animals… he wasn’t at all sure he’d have passed such a test as a young recruit.

He was quite certain he could never pass it now.

Glancing over at Rose, he found her eyes closed again. She’d drifted off, which was probably a mercy for her. It was not unknown for beings first exposed to freefall to become violently ill for a short time. With luck, the artificial gravity had precluded that possibility.

What increasingly occupied his thoughts though was what he had in mind once he got the fascinating creature back to his home. The idea had first germinated at least two tours ago, and though he’d never seriously entertained it, it had grown in his mind, becoming detailed, comprehensive — and if he were honest — more than a little arousing. Each successive exposure to the Terrans only made the idea that much more compelling, the possibilities as endless as they were lurid.

  And most definitely forbidden.

None of that would stop Kosha though, if he intended to explore it. Abducting the girl from Terra was an undeniable first step in that exploration, even if he wasn’t at all sure how far it would — or should — go.

The central, irresistible question remained though. Humans were animals — of that he still had no doubt. But what if he were to put that belief to the test?

Could a human — a fetching, lush, female human — be made into a… pet?

  * * *

Her head was still spinning when he drew her through the entrance hatch and into the interior of the ship they’d docked to. As the transport had drawn close to it, she realized just how immense it was, filling the entire field of vision out of the windscreen as they’d finally coupled with the ship’s hull.

  “Where… what is this place?”

“This is our home for the next few days.” The alien closed and latched the hatch behind her, leaving her to stand alone on a bare steel floor. The ceilings were at least twelve feet high, the hatchways immense. The light inside the ship was harsh, overpowering, rendering her unable to see much other than what was immediately around her.

“Why is it so… bright in here?”

For a moment, he simply watched her, his huge arms crossed. “You’ll get used to it. Follow me.”

Knowing there was little she could do but go along with him, she trailed him, his immense back something she kept staring at as he led her through several hatches and down long, tall corridors.

Finally, he stopped at a bank of what looked to be compartments of varying sizes. All but the largest of them had solid, gleaming steel doors, the spaces little bigger than cabinets. But a few of the larger ones were spacious enough for a man. Her heart dropped when it was one of these the alien opened.

Apparently, he had other ideas first though.

  “Take your clothes off.”

  “W-what?”

“Your clothing. Take it off.” He took a step toward her, his eyes flashing. “Or do I need to take it off for you?”

“Why? I… I can go in there with them on. I won’t do anything. I promise.”

She hated that she was even attempting to bargain with him, but the idea of actually being naked in front this being was almost too mortifying to contemplate.

“Take them off,” his deep voice rumbled. “I need to get a good look at you. Then we’re going to fix that lip.”

For a moment, they simply stared at one another, her heart pounding frantically. He moved closer, his huge size making her feel like a tiny creature.

Her fingers moved as if on autopilot, slipping the buttons of her coat. It dropped to the floor and she touched the collar of her shirt, hoping he couldn’t see the trembling she felt in her hands. She couldn’t bear to look at him as she drew her shirt off, pulling her arms free, the cool, sterile air embracing her bared skin.

He’s not a man. He’s an alien. Not a man. Not a man.

Deep inside, she knew it didn’t matter, but somehow, it afforded her just enough to keep going. She’d do this, tell herself this was another species. That it didn’t matter, not really, since he wasn’t human. A delusion yes, but one that she clung to with a fervency born of fear… and something else entirely.

He said nothing as she continued disrobing, walking around her slowly, pausing when she delayed taking off any more.

  “All of it, human.”

  Oh, God!

She reached behind, unsnapping the bra, the burst of heat at her cheeks intensifying as her breasts sprang free from the clutch of the lace. Laying her arm across her bosom, she tried to ignore the way her nipples had hardened against her skin. Was it fear? Or was there more to it than that?

I’d say there’s more, you twit. You’ve just been abducted by a goddamned alien!

The hulking form of the alien moved in front of her again, his brilliant eyes pinning her in place as he looked on, his face neutral. His features were rugged, perhaps a trifle harsh, the strong brow line and heavy jaw suggesting a deeply masculine, even dangerous, nature.

He looked to be capable of much more than mere kidnapping.

The rational half of her mind knew this meant she needed to cooperate, for now. But she needed him to know, needed to remind herself, that she wasn’t going to just lie down like a dog and take this without a struggle — symbolic or not.

“What are you… going to do with me?”

“Nothing — until you’ve done as you’ve been ordered.”

She froze. “That’s n-not an answer. What are you going to do?”

  Shut up, you idiot!

“If you haven’t taken off all of your clothes within the next minute, the first thing I’ll do is show you the consequence
s for not following instructions. You won’t like them.”

He crossed his massive arms over his chest, his gaze growing cold. “Now, do as I say.”

Letting the bra fall, she unbuttoned her jeans, biting off a shaming whine as she skinned them and her panties down her legs. Squatting down, she yanked her shoes off, pressing her breasts to her knees, trying to fold herself into a protective crouch. She could feel the expectant weight of his stare upon her back.

Then she stood up, kicking her jeans away, breasts shielded with her arm, her other hand covering her sex. She looked down at the grating of the floor, her face flaming.

“The whole purpose of this is to look at you. I cannot do so when you hide yourself from me.”

“I… can’t.” Her mouth had gone completely dry, her voice little more than a whisper.

A finger lifted her chin until she found herself looking at that striking male face, his gaze so unlike any man she’d ever looked upon before.

  “Arms at your side, human.”

She closed her eyes as she did it, clutching the sides of her thighs lest she try to cover herself once more. The tension in the air ratcheted a notch higher as she waited, her chest rising and falling as she breathed frantically, hating the way it made her breasts move.

He made a deep sound, a cross between a hum and a sigh.

Then he began to walk around her once more, and she opened her eyes again as he passed behind her, the heat of his gaze on her ass like a brand. Somehow, she knew she wasn’t to look behind her, that it would be perceived as refusing to do as told.

He stopped, out of her field of vision, leaving her to stare at the blank, smooth metal of the wall ahead of her. She had never liked her ass; she’d always thought it was too big, her hips wider than she knew was fashionable. She envied those women who had pert little bottoms, and narrow, gently curved hips. Having this… alien stare at it, only reminded her of that fact. It was an utterly absurd time to think such thoughts, but the urge to cover her backside with her hands was overpowering.
