“There’s no maybe about it. It was plain as day he still has a thing for you. Hell he even told me that when I fired his ass.” Trevor said as his face turned red.

“Well too damn bad because I don’t want him so he can have a thing all he wants.” She took a deep breath. “Trevor I can’t keep doing this. If this is why you had me come in then I’m throwing in the white flag, I’m done. I can’t take this.” Elle said as more tears escaped and she lifted a shaking hand to wipe them away. “You know I haven’t even approached the fact that you said your business was the most important thing in the world to you. I have tried to tell myself that you weren’t comparing it to me, but that hurt me Trevor, and it’s a big reason why it took me so long to come over here and apologize to you.”

Trevor mentally cursed himself for doing this to her and for saying something so asinine like that. He didn’t even remember saying it and it wasn’t true anyway. Neither of them deserved this. “Elle, my business may be the most important thing to me, but it is just a thing…I built it from the ground up and someone was trying to tear it down. I was in a panic and I was mad, at him and at you, I don’t even remember saying that, and it’s not really true anyway…I don’t want to keep doing this. I just want it all to be done.”

“Okay.” Elle turned and started to open the door, she couldn’t contain the wrenching sob that escaped her throat and the flood of tears that streamed down her cheeks.

“Where are you going?” Trevor asked with a hint of confusion and pain etched in his voice.

“I’m leaving. You said you wanted it all done so it’s done.” Elle said with her back to him and one foot literally out the door.

“I want this fight, argument or whatever it is to be done but not me and you. I can’t do that.” Trevor said hoping his voice sounded convincing not shaky like he was feeling inside and out.

“I shouldn’t have tried to grill you about Rob when you came in, I heard every word you said before and I believe you but I still feel hurt and angry that you didn’t have my back or have trust in me, but you completely and blindly put it into Rob.” Trevor said to her back.

Elle took a step back and closed the door but didn’t turn around to face Trevor because it would hurt too much and because she knew she needed to go as soon as he finished because they wouldn’t be able to move past this.

With her back still turned said, “I know you do. I’m sorry about that and if I could change it I would. But I can’t.”

“I know. Do you want still want me?” Trevor asked with so much uncertainly in his voice that he wanted to call his words back.

He hated how insecure his voice sounded when he asked Elle if she still wanted him and it wasn’t only physically. He wanted everything with her and needed to know if she still wanted it with him before he went any further down this road. It was all or nothing.

“What kind of question is that?” Elle said as she half turned to him.

“I was just wondering. It’s been hell without you and I never wanted anyone like I want you and probably won’t again, you are THE most important person in my life. I can’t let this stop us. Do you still want me?” Trevor asked again this time with more confidence in his voice.

“Yeah it’s been miserable for me too, I felt like I went cliff diving and never stopped falling. Of course I want you. How could you think I wouldn’t? I never stopped, I thought for a whole minute when we were together that we could have whatever we wanted as long as we were together. But I guess I was wrong.” Elle said with defeat laced in her voice.

“What if you weren’t wrong? What if we gave this another shot?” Trevor looked directly into Elle’s eyes.

This time Elle turned to face him fully. “You want to try again with us? Can you honestly forgive me?”

“I don’t know if I can forget it but I can forgive you if you’ll forgive me for the stupid thing I said, and know this one thing for damn sure, I don’t want to lose you or let you go ever again.”

“It broke my heart to give up on us and to not see or talk to you all this time. I think that made it worse if that’s even possible.”

“I know I feel the same way. What do you say we try again and move past this, see what happens?”

“You sure?” Elle said hoping her voice didn’t sound as shaky to Trevor as it did to her own ears.

“Never been more sure of anything before.”

Elle ran to Trevor and literally launched herself into his arms and kept saying between kisses, “I’m sorry and was so wrong and I shouldn’t have reacted like that or let it come between us.”

“I’m sorry I made you cry and made you think you’re not important to me.” Trevor said to Elle when they stopped kissing for a minute.

“I’m sorry I hurt you and made you think for even a second I don’t have trust in you or wouldn’t have your back. I’d be the first one up there fighting for you.” Elle said with such conviction in her voice, as she looked Trevor in the eyes.

“Stop saying you’re sorry, I forgive you.”

Trevor believed her, the whole thing was shitty sure but they could get past it. He wasn’t letting her go again; he’d only make that mistake once. He never felt more at ease and settled then he did right now with her arms wrapped around him and his around her.

Elle was so happy how things turned out for them. She didn’t see this coming when she came to apologize. A reconciliation wasn’t what she thought was in the cards for them especially after the way she hurt and let him down, but he was more amazing than ever in her eyes; he forgave her and they were moving forward.

lle glanced over to his dining room table and saw a pile of textbooks and notebooks piled on it. “What’s all that stuff?” she said gesturing to his table

“Nothing,” Trevor said, he could’ve kicked himself for leaving that out when he went after her. He didn’t want her to know, it was bad enough Jake knew. He felt his face getting hot and hoped it wasn’t making his face red too.

“What do you mean nothing? If it is than it looks like a lot of nothing. Especially if it’s making your face turn red.”

“Fine,” Trevor took a deep breath before finishing. “It’s for school.” He felt his face get even hotter.

“For school?” Elle said confused at what he meant.

“I’ve been taking classes and that’s what they’re for.”

  “Classes? For college?” Elle asked.

“Yeah, I’m almost done with my associate’s for business management.” Trevor said sounding insecure and nervous.

  “How done is almost done?”

  “I finish in December.”

  “This December?”

  Trevor just nodded.

Elle looked up at him with such pride, but that pride quickly faded to something more along the lines of hurt. “You kept this a secret from me?”

“Yeah but it wasn’t just you. I didn’t tell anyone. No one knew until Jake saw all that a few days ago.”

“Why didn’t you tell anyone? This is amazing! I’m so proud of you.” Elle said admiringly.

“Because I didn’t want anyone to know I guess, especially if it didn’t go well. You’re proud of me?” Trevor said, amazed at how much her saying that meant to him. He knew he shouldn’t have ended things with her because she was defending Rob; he should have tried to work it out. He was glad they were back together again and he was still hurt a little but her pride in him, made all that insignificant. She really meant it.

“So you were going to graduate without anyone being there to see you go get your degree? Why would you think anyone around you would be anything but happy and proud of you?”

  “I didn’t think about that, I guess.”

“Well I’m gonna be screaming so loud for you when you get that degree. You worked hard for it and did it because you wanted to, not because you had to.” Then she hesitated.

“Wait, I didn’t mean to overstep and assume you’d have me there. But I can promise you that it won’t be b
ecause we’re not together. I was ridiculous I let you go once, but I won’t ever do that again.”

“Good because I’m not going anywhere or letting you go either. For the record you didn’t overstep, of course I want you there. You really think it’s a good thing I’m doing?” Trevor was proud of himself too, but it was nice to hear it from Elle.

“Absolutely! I am so proud of you!! It really is amazing!” Elle exclaimed.

She reached up and grabbed his face to pull it to hers to kiss him. “Isn’t this the part where we make up?” She said against his lips with a wink.

He pulled back enough to look into her eyes and said, “I like the way you think,” and continued kissing her with an urgency neither had ever felt before.

Trevor picked Elle up so she could wrap her legs around his waist and backed up into the wall but stumbled and basically slammed her into the wall. Elle just laughed and went along with it. He kept kissing her with such need and desire it was fogging his brain. He could barely think he wanted her so bad. He needed to make love to her, claim her as his so they could prove they were okay again and feel as connected as they had before the fight. Which thank God was behind them now.

Her heart was beating so fast against her chest it almost hurt. She wanted Trevor more than she ever had before, she needed them to connect the way they did each time they made love and that’s what it was, they had never just had sex in her eyes, she was in love with Trevor long before they had sex. She was so wound up she could barely think straight or suck in enough air.

“We really should move upstairs.” Elle said to Trevor when she pulled back panting for air.

“In a minute,” Trevor said before claiming her mouth again and holding her even tighter while he rocked his erection against her. Elle just moaned into his mouth and grabbed a tighter hold onto him. He continued rocking against her as he tilted her head to the angle he wanted and took control of the kiss.

He didn’t tell Elle the reason he didn’t move when she mentioned moving was because his legs felt like limp noodles and his dick felt like it was made of solid lead. He mustered up all his strength and managed to make it to the bottom of his stairs. He took each step slowly, stopping to kiss Elle silly before walking up another. By the time he made it up the twelve steps up to the second floor he practically ran to his room.

lle knew the walk up the stairs had to be hard on Trevor with him being as turned on as her and trying to carry her up the steps, but she was happy as hell when they made it to the top. Then all of a sudden she was practically flying through the air when Trevor threw her on the bed and landed next to her gulping in air just as she was.

“Wow, who knew you had such a good arm?” She said jokingly with a smile

“Seriously?!” He said almost looking wounded.

“No not seriously. But I’ve never been thrown in the air before so that’s a first. And I thought when you ran to the bed with me in your arms at my place was fun,” She said with a wink before she rolled over on top of him and devoured his body.

“I think it’s time to lose the clothes.” Trevor said against Elle’s lips as he pulled at her shirt.

“I’m with you there!” Elle said as she pulled his shirt too.

Both of their shirts went flying across the room. Next came their jeans. Trevor slowly removed hers and kissed her body along the way, which enhanced their arousal.

“You’re beautiful, you know that?” Trevor said as he looked down at Elle with just her bra and panties on, he started to shed his boxers.

“You’re pretty beautiful yourself. Now my turn.” Elle said with surprising confidence as she stripped herself of her underwear.

Trevor grabbed Elle by the waist and flipped her so she was on her stomach underneath him as he slowly kissed his way around the backs of her ears, the nape of neck and down her spine. When she was wiggling uncontrollably he flipped her so she was on her back. She pulled his face down for another kiss, which he happily obliged to. In the meantime both were tangling hands as he tried to grab her breasts and she tried to grab his penis.

“I want you now.” Elle said demandingly to Trevor.

“I know but we have time, let me have some fun first.” Trevor said as he bent his head down and grabbed one nipple with his thumb and forefinger and squeezed while he sucked the other occasionally nipping it with his teeth, as Elle moaned with ecstasy.

Elle arched into his touch and moaned. “No I want to do this now.” She said breathlessly and trembling. She reached for him again and was able to grab him. He continued to work her breasts and bottom with his hand and mouth while she toyed with his penis. She cupped him, stroked and squeezed him into a fury.

Elle had never felt so much hunger for a man before; she couldn’t control it with Trevor. He was driving her nuts. She wanted him so bad she literally ached.

Trevor didn’t know if Elle knew that she was driving him beyond crazy but she was. His dick felt like it weighed a ton and his balls were so heavy he would probably fall forward if he had to stand up, but he wanted to give Elle a good time before driving into her like the madman he knew he’d become the second he sank into her.

“I looove what you’re doing but would you just do me already?” Elle said breathlessly even more demanding than last time.

“Forget the foreplay and get to good stuff -- you inside me now.” Elle said as she let go of his penis and pushed him so she could roll on top of him.

When she had her center aligned directly over the head of his penis she rubbed the drop of pre-cum around the tip, he moaned loudly and almost arched off the bed. Instead he just gripped her hips tight.

“I’ve never been on top before.” Elle said playfully as she slowly lowered herself onto Trevor as both of them watched. She knew she was torturing him and herself but had to do it slowly to make it easier. Once he was fully inside her, her body was screaming for her to move and fast, so she did. Trevor gripped her hips even tighter and held on for the ride, all the while watching every time she slid up and down his long thick shaft. It was awesome and felt so right.

After several minutes of her moving, she started to feel the tightness in her skin; her heart felt like it was beating between her legs she felt so swollen. She knew it wouldn’t be long and it would be amazing.

Trevor didn’t think he’d ever seen anything as sexy as Elle riding him. He knew it was the first time she had done this but you wouldn’t know by the way she took control and kept going. He felt his release coming and quick.

“I’m so close, like right there, Elle, please tell me you are too?” He practically growled through clenched teeth.

“Oh my God!” Elle all but yelled.

“I’m close, give me another minute and it’ll be amazing. I feel you so deep this way, I love it.” She said and that all but did him in. He didn’t know if he could even last another minute but he willed himself to hold back for her.

“Now, now, now! Trevor!!!” Elle screamed at the same time he gripped her hips tighter and gave one final thrust of his own and felt his release. Elle’s name was the only thing on his lips as he came and came in a thunderous roar.

They clung to each other both with a sheen of perspiration on their skin for long minutes after they both came down from incredible releases. Trevor gathered Elle even closer to him as he pulled the blankets on top of them.

“That was fun.” Elle said as she smirked at Trevor.

“Fun?” Trevor knew what they did was fun but it was a hell of a lot more so he was slightly confused.

“That position. We definitely have to do that again. Is it always going to be like this with us you think?” Elle asked as she looked at the man she loved.

  “Like what?” Trevor seemed puzzled.

  “So intense, amazing and comfortable?”

“I hope so.” Trevor said with his own grin.

“Do you have anywhere you need to be?” Trevor asked Elle as he rubbed his hand up and down her back in a comforting and reassuring way
of letting her know he wasn’t going anywhere.

“Nope, I am exactly where I need to be,” she said to him as she curled into his chest.

“Good, I was hoping you’d say that. I have an idea.” Trevor said as he bent his head to kiss Elle.

Elle felt Trevor growing hard inside her again and she knew exactly what his idea would be. “What’s the idea? I hope I’m up for it.” She said teasingly as she wrapped her legs around him.

“Oh you will be,” was all Trevor said as he proceeded to show Elle exactly what his idea was.

Elle lay satiated in Trevor’s arms as she heard his even breathing showing that he had fallen asleep. She was so happy that they had made up and everything seemed to be back to normal, at least their lovemaking was. She hoped that Trevor really could get past her basically throwing away his trust; he said he wanted to be with her and that he forgave her but she wasn’t sure if he really could. Weren’t relationships based on trust and honesty? When she threw half of that away for someone she knew a lifetime ago she just didn’t know. She knew he loved her and she loved him more than she ever thought possible. Trevor tightened his arm around her and took a deep breath and she was bounced back to the present and away from her thoughts. The only thing she knew was she would soon find out. Elle curled into Trevor and let sleep finally overtake her.

Trevor woke up with the sun streaming in through the blinds on the window that were left open when he and Elle went to bed the night before. Elle was still wrapped tightly in his arms and he never felt happier. He didn’t know how they let themselves get to the place they were before but he was glad they worked through it. He just hoped he could really forget about Elle not backing him up, he wasn’t trying to overreact but he knew he should be with someone who trusted him and who he could trust completely. Elle did trust him he knew it, but he couldn’t convince himself it wouldn’t ever be an issue again. If their time apart showed him one thing it was that he definitely didn’t want to be without her, now he just had to make sure he moved forward from this trust issue they had and didn’t let it hold them back.
