“So where am I meeting you up at this weekend?” I ask. A huge grin appears on his face once he realizes he’ll see me in a few short days.

“Washington. I get to show you my city this time.”

After hanging up with Brayden, Chase texts me a picture of him blowing kisses at me. He’s been sending me random pictures all week. His easy going personality is irresistible. We’ve become text buddies and I look forward to his jokes and playful flirting. I know I should tell Brayden but I don’t want to cause a bigger rift between him and Chase. Beside we’re just friend so it’s not like I’m cheating on Brayden, I rationalize to myself.

I’m coming to see u guys this weekend

After sending the message I realize I said I was going to see him too. I’m going to see Brayden and I have to stop the fluttering in my belly at the thought of seeing Chase too.

I’ll let all the groupies know I’m off limits this weekend. My girl is coming to town.

When he calls me his girl I get a little thrill and I know I have a serious problem. What I feel for Chase is different from what I feel for Brayden. With Chase it's just attraction, with Brayden my feelings are deeper. I just feel awful for even being attracted to Chase. But what girl wouldn’t, he’s gorgeous.

  I’m not your girl

A little voice in my head says I want to be his but I turn it off. I don’t need to stir up anymore trouble between those two guys.

Not yet but u will b

I shake my head, staring at his message. He’s so aggravating. So persistent. So sexy. Oh god, I want Chase Baldwin. I’m tempted to call off the weekend trip. Staying away from them would be the smartest move right now but I miss Brayden so much there’s no way I’m missing an opportunity to be with him.

  Chapter 9

There’s a note on my desk Friday morning to meet my dad for lunch at noon. I work at a frantic pace hoping to flee work earlier than usual. I was able to switch into an earlier flight and don’t want to get stuck in rush hour traffic.

I meet my dad at our favorite café at a quarter to noon. He’s already ordered for us knowing I always have a turkey bacon flatbread whenever we come here.

“So how’s mom?” I ask, addressing the elephant in the room.

“That’s actually why I invited you to lunch, Sunday night was pretty rough and there are some things I should have told you years ago.” He taps his fingers on the table. A telltale sign he’s nervous. I place my hand over his stilling his fingers.

“You’ve never been nervous to talk to me dad.”

“I know but this is different. I don’t want you know how selfish I was when I met your mother,” his eyes dart anxiously around the room. “Your mother wasn’t always as cold as she is. When I met her she was vibrant and full of life, a lot like you. Her beauty and her gracefulness had all the young men falling at her feet. We became friends our second year at the university. She was funny and kind and I quickly fell in love with her.”

The tapping has resumed but this time I don’t make an effort to stop him.

“She didn’t return my love; in fact she told me she was in love with someone else, a man named Richard. She knew she would marry a rich successful man, it just wasn’t me. Her father forbid her to date him. Turns out he was a much older associate of her fathers. Her family did a lot of business with mine so it was quickly arranged that we would be married concluding graduation.”

History does tend to repeat itself. My mom’s marriage was arranged much as she wants to arrange a union between me and Jeremy.

“I didn’t care that she loved another man, I wanted her no matter how it came to be. She resented me and that was hard to deal with. A couple years after you were born, Richard came back to town and she would sneak out to meet him. One night she found out Richard wasn’t who she thought he was. She came home with her face was covered in bruises. I rushed her to the hospital where she came clean about her affair.”

“Oh my god dad-,” he raises a hand cutting me off.

“I know you think I’m crazy to stay with her after that but I did. I stayed for you. You were my true love. You loved me unconditionally, worshipped me even. A father could not have asked for a better daughter. I know I’m tough on you business-wise but I do respect your intelligence and your drive. Your mom and I, we’ve worked it out. I know now she loves me; she just can’t accept that I’ve forgiven her. You were right the other day, she doesn’t believe she good enough; that man damaged her.”

He sighs, running his hand through his hair. “I know you were going to marry Jeremy as a way to gain your mother’s love but don’t. She already loves you. She probably thinks you’ll make the same mistake she did if you follow your heart.”

He grabs my hand and kisses it, “follow your heart sweetheart. If it leads you to that young rock-star then take a chance. You’ve been different since you met him. You’re happier—radiant.”

“Thanks dad but you deserve your happy ever after too.” I protest.

“I have it sweetie, I really do. Your mom is not as cold as she appears. At least not in our bedroom.” He winks at me

“That’s disgusting dad. I think my lunch might come back up.” I rub my stomach.

“Hey how do you think I feel? I had to see you on a magazine feeling up that man.” He chuckles.

“It was just a kiss,” I answer with a coy smile. I love my dad he’s so much fun to joke around with but sometimes he’s too open. Knowing what he does with my mom in their bedroom is crossing the line for me.

“By the way I’m going away for the weekend.” I smirk at him. “I’ll try to keep the paparazzi images at a low.”

He shakes his head, “I want you to be happy but if he hurts you I’ll destroy him,” he assures me getting up and walking toward the door.

  “Love you dad”

“Love you too,” he throws over his shoulder. “And if you’re not at your desk Monday morning, you’re fired.”

“I know dad…I know,” I say to his departing back.

  ******

I’m in a plane soaring over the city by 2:30. I text Brayden letting him know I’ll be at dinner with Ally. I don’t want him to get suspicious when I don’t answer for hours while I’m on the plane. Pulling this surprise wasn’t very easy. Queen bitch Mandy booked me a flight for tomorrow morning. She wouldn’t want me to have a whole extra night with my boyfriend. I booked my own flight the same day I received her e-mail, scheduling enough time to make it to Arena before Brayden gets off stage. Unfortunately there was a slight delay on the connecting flight but I’ll still make it before he leaves the Arena.

In the taxi on my way to the Arena I dig through my purse for my phone. I tap on Butch’s number and he answers immediately. It’s hard to hear him over the concert blasting in the background.

“I need a favor Butch!” I scream into the phone

“Anything you need K,” I love how he’s abbreviated my name the way he does with Brayden.

“I’m about five minutes away I need you to get me in without tipping Brayden off. I want to surprise him.”

“He’s gonna lose his shit when he see’s you. I’ll have someone waiting for you K, can’t wait to see you.

“Missed you too Butch, see you in a few.”

I throw the phone back in my purse, reapply my lip gloss and run my hand through my hair hoping I look halfway decent after that long flight. We pull up to Key Arena in a couple minutes. I pay the cabbie and pull my carry-on behind me. I catch my reflection in the door and sigh with relief. Not so bad. My skin tight black jeans with an UnBurdened tank top makes me blend in perfectly with the fans. Someone taps my shoulder and I turn to see Butch grinning down at me.

I jump into his arms like I haven’t seen him in years. “You didn’t have to come get me butch, you could’ve sent someone. I thought you would be busy with Brayden being on stage and all.” I say pulling back and raising my head to look at his face. I feel like I'm twelve years old next to his 6’ 6” frame.
/>
“He’s off stage actually. He’s in his dressing room, besides he would demand the best man pick up his girl.” He guides me through a series of doors and down a long corridor.

“He’s in there,” he says pointing to the last door.

I push open the door and hear the shower running in the next room. Oh God, dripping wet Brayden Quinn is a few short feet away. My heart thuds in my chest, butterflies flutter inside my stomach as I hear the shower shut off. I push the door and creep in. His back is turned from me, the strong muscular lines of his back are pebbled with water. He’s rubbing a towel on his hair as I quietly step behind him sliding my hands around him and grabbing a handful of smooth, hot heaven.

“No, no, no," he shouts jumping out of my grasp and turning abruptly. I’ve never witnessed a look of disgust shift to pure joy so rapidly. “Oh my god! What are you doing here?” a mesmerizing grin appears on his lip as he pulls me into his arms.

Oh yes! Hot naked Brayden Quinn feels amazing in my arms. Butterflies flutter in my stomach just smelling his fresh skin. “I thought you were coming in the morning?”

“I couldn’t wait that long so I booked an earlier flight,” I gaze into those amazing sapphire eyes. “I missed you.”

“I missed you too baby,” he whispers, locked in my hypnotic gaze. He breaks the trance first, leaning down to claim my lips in a searing hot kiss. I run my hands over his taut shoulders and back, stopping at his rock hard ass to pull his already rising cock against me.

I break away from his lips, licking warm beads of water from his neck. Needing to taste more of him I drop to my knees and run my tongue up his thigh then on the underside of his beautiful erection. I want to stay down here worshipping at his feet all night, his responding hiss informs me that he’d let me. As I slide him deep into my throat he grabs a handful of my hair and grips it hard. The painful sensation excites me, I love the animal in him and I love when he tries to reign me in—tame me.

His breathing increases, coming out in short puffs of air as his hip begin to pump, thrusting his stiff rod in and out my mouth. From his erratic movements I know it won’t be long before he loses his battle. I reach between his legs and massage his tight sac in my hand.

“Ohh Kerri,” he moans loudly. His arousal thickens in my mouth as hot jets of his milk fills my mouth.

“Umm" I moan, running my tongue over his rim as he continues coming.

“Brayden you have to be—” Mandy bursts in causing Brayden to jerk deeper into my throat. I hold his hips firm as she gapes at me with Brayden’s jumbo size rod in my mouth. Anger surges though my veins as I release my suction hold on him and lean back on my haunches. I run my hand over my face trying to calm my violent urges.

Brayden quickly wraps a towel around his waist. Mandy didn’t even have the decency to leave. “What do you want Mandy,” Brayden snaps obviously upset at the interruption. I know he remembers how long I’m capable of drawing out his orgasm.

“Uh…meet and greet—five minutes,” she turns and slams the door behind her.

Brayden turn to me with pleading eyes, “I’m sorry Kerri. She didn’t know you were here.”

“It doesn’t matter,” I say standing up and getting in his face. “She walked into the bathroom Brayden, obviously you would be undressed whether I’m here or not.” I take a deep breath and walk to the sink as he leaves the bathroom wordlessly. I throw some water on my face and look at my reflection in the mirror. My eyebrows are furrowed, my cheeks are pink, and I need to calm down.

Brayden comes up behind me a few minutes later fully dressed and wraps his arms around my waist. “Mandy’s been with us since the beginning and it’s hard to break a habit. She’s like my brother only in women’s clothes. Nothing has or ever will happen between us.” He probably thinks I don’t trust him. I just don’t trust her and hate that she think she has a right to invade every aspect of his life, even his intimate life.

“Did you talk to her yet?” I challenge him. His eyes dart away from me, he exhales deeply, “Not yet but after tonight I will.”

“Brayden” I turn facing him. “You just don’t get it and I don’t want to argue with you so I’m going to have someone bring me to a hotel. I don’t even want to see her face again.”

“Kerri you have to understand, I’ve never had a girlfriend before so this has never been an issue. I’ll talk to her tonight I promise. Just don’t leave, wait for me.”

I turn on my heels and walk out.

  I’m such a jealous bitch.

I’m being held hostage. Kidnapped by Butch and his crew of body builders. Apparently, Brayden left orders that I was not to leave this building without him and what the almighty Brayden Quinn says—goes. This is not at all calming my surging anger. If he would have just let me go to a hotel I would have had time to soak in the hot tub and unwind from the long flight combined with the incident with Mandy. Now I’m even more aggravated by these men dictating what I’m going to do.

I see Chase walk by the room I’m being held in and call out to him. He takes a step back and peaks in the room, his face lighting up with a boyish grin when he sees me.

“Hey beautiful,” he pulls into his arm, the scent of fresh laundry invade my sense. He places little kisses up my neck and chin and I push him away when I start feeling warm. He smirks at me then says, “I thought you were coming tomorrow.”

“Brayden didn’t tell you I came early to surprise him. Unfortunately there was an incident and I just want to go to a hotel but Butch is holding me here. Can you help me get out of here?”

“Incident? Come on give me a little more than that.” He can sense there’s a juicy story and he grins at me wickedly, his eyebrows lift urging me to tell him.

“Fine, let’s just say Mandy walked in on us when I had my mouth full.” His eyes scrunch as he’s ponders my statement. I can actually see when what I said clicks in his mind. His eyes widen and he makes a good effort not to laugh but ends up exploding in a fit of laughter. By the time Brayden walks in the room he’s wiping tears from his eyes from laughing so hard.

“Bro, learn to use a lock” he pats Brayden on the back leaving the room with a huge grin on his face.

“You told him?” He bristles, his eyes flaring with anger.

“I need to vent to someone and Chase was passing by,” I explain.

“So you’re confiding in Chase,” he rolls his eyes, “what would he know about us he’s only ever been interested in fucking every piece of ass he sees.”

“I like Chase he’s fun, besides I don’t care what he does with his groupies you’re the only one I’m concerned with.” I smile seductively at him, pulling him into my arms. I know I’m so flip-floppy but he just looks so sexy in those jeans, they hug his ass so perfectly. I came here to spend time with the man that has captured my heart and I’m not going to waste another minute on Mandy or Chase. I kiss the tip of his nose, running my hands up his neck into his hair and feel the tension begin to ease from his body.

He heaves a sigh of relief when he realizes we won’t be arguing anymore. “Let go home.” He lifts me onto his back piggy back style and races down the hallway. I chuckle against his neck waving at the rest of the band as we pass them on our way out.

It takes about five minutes to get from the arena to the Brayden’s high rise condo in the Pike Place Area. The first thing I notice as I step in are the amazing views through the floor to ceiling windows. The city and waterfront are amazing with the lights twinkling in the night skyline.

“Are you hungry?” Brayden asks from behind me. He’s pulling off his shirt as I turn from the window. This view of him stripping is even more fantastic then the one out the window. His hand pauses at his belt and I tear my eyes away and I look into his eyes. The devilish smirk on his face says he knows exactly what I was thinking.

“If you take those pants off I’ll be hungry for more than food.” Truth is he doesn’t even have to remove the pants, I’m always hungry for his body.

p; We order Chinese which we eat with chopstick sitting Indian style on the living room floor. I tell him about the conversation I had with my mother than follow that up by the bomb my dad dropped on me before I got on the plane. Yes it’s been a pretty eventful week for Kerri. She needs to get laid to ease all this tension. It’s really bad when I start talking about myself in the third person.

“Rich people always have the craziest families,” he laughs. “My parents were poor and perfectly in love with each other. Still are.”

“Laugh now if you want but I’m pretty sure you’ve upgraded yourself to rich people status in the last eight years,” I tease him.

“True, but I’ve already got a pretty amazing relationship. With a slightly crazy girl who has an even crazier family but the heart wants what it wants.” He’s so cute when he’s teasing me.

I throw a pillow at his head and his chopsticks smash against his face. Noodles clinging to his face, he stares at me for two seconds before he pounces on me. He grabs a handful of noodles and shoves it down my shirt. I push at his heavy chest as he reaches for more noodles but I stop fighting when I realize I’m outweighed and he has defiantly won this one. My bra is full of warm gooey noodles and he kneeling above me grinning like a Cheshire cat.

“Now you made me waste my noodles,” he blames me. He leans his head down and eats a noodle off my chest.

“Brayden stop! You’re disgusting. You’ll eat anything off me won’t you?”

“Anything,” He agrees, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

Ok maybe it wasn’t so disgusting when he licked the sauce off my nipple.

  Chapter 10

The next morning I wake on the bed wrapped in a towel. After our noodle fight; which he was the champ of—or maybe I was the victor in that. After all I got to reap the reward of his tongue licking my breast and nipple clean. I wanted to shower alone since he already showered at the arena but he would not have it.
