Bedd Chwiorydd Tair - Tomb of the Three Sisters (Towmb of the Three Susters), an extinct volcano with two craters in the southern Pitmaster's Kettles, with a hot spring and an extensive system of lava tubes, especially a very large one connecting the two craters. So named for three fairy sisters imprisoned there with their traitorous brother by Razzorbauch, using the Heart of the Staff.
Black Desert - vast black sand desert, west of the Chokewood Forest and north of the Dread Sea.
Boneshire - small kingdom on the north border of Niarg, bordering on the south-west, west and north with Lardshire.
Border Way - a road running along the border of Ellsmore and Loxmere.

Chokewood Forest - (Chokewoods) south of Goll and Cyclopsia. Was created by the wizard Razzorbauch when he used the Heart and the Great Staff to permanently change all of the forest's black and red oaks (Quercus) to choke oaks (Pseudoquercus horridus R.) to serve as a vast plantation for enslaved dragons from the Dark Continent.

Circle - the vault which housed a great circular table around which the Extended Council began gathering as soon as the refugees joined the dragons at the New Dragon Caves.

Creg Boayl Arrey - (Lookout Rock) once known as Carraig Faire, an isolated orange sandstone rock, 121 feet high by ninety yards long, sticking out of the great glacial plain of the Great Strah near Balley Cheerey.
Cwm Eryr - valley in the Ash Mountains that opens onto Ashmore, where King Hebraun slew the Golls.
Cyclopsia - realm of the Cyclopses between Chokewoods, Braten Brute and Goll.
Cyclops Plateaus - where Ownlee and Spike live, next to the Valley of Illusions, in Cyclopsia.
Cyclops Road - highway from Gollsport and Fairy Valley Junction into Goll.
Darcastle - See Dark's Castle. Name for Dark's Castle which came into use during Spitenorta's empire.
Dark Continent - Tywyllwch (Old Niarg Standard), Dorchadas (Jutish Elven), Brastyr Tewl (Gwaelic), Mooar-Rheynn Dorraghey (Gwaelic Elven), Douar-Noz (Headlandish), Mor-Thir Dorch (Goblish-Beakish).
Darkland - the name used during the time of Spitemorta's empire to refer to Headland and all the other lands of the Dark Continent not part of Demonica's estate.
Dark's Castle - the home of Emperor Azenor and the seat of the Dark Continent.
Darcove - See Dark's Cove. Name for Dark's Cove which came into use during Spitenorta's empire.

Deadmoors, the - a vast tableland desert in the Wilderlands, immediately west of the Great Barrier Mountains and north of the Black Desert, littered with Triassic plant and animal fossils from about 225 million years ago.

Diona - (Dog Town, Ellsmore Proper) Ellsmore's capitol and their only town.
Diona Castle - royal residence of Ellsmore.
Doarlish - (Gap) in later times and Doras (Door) in the early days, also called Vorona's Gap, a narrow open fault in the bedrock of the Eternal Mountains due East of Baile Gairdin used as a pass to the Great Strah.

Douar Benniget Mountains - (Cemetery Mountains) a mountain chain running from Head (Pennvro) south-south-east, past the east edge of the Fire Domes to the south shores of the Dark Continent.

Dragon Caves - a limestone cavern system claimed by the Dragon Clan, inland from Dragonsport on the Orin Ocean, immediately south of Pirate Isle, saddling a break in the Dragon Mountain chain, interrupting the folding and faulting of the mountain chain proper with a landscape of sinks and collapsed caverns, also referred to as mountains.
Dragon Mountains - the name of the mountains on the Northern Continent which run north into the Orin ocean, forming the Pirate Isle Archipelago. During the last ice age of 14,000 to 10,000 years ago, known as the Loxmere Glaciation, the sea level dropped, receding from the Gulf of Orin, leaving a vast Alpine basin that connected the mountains of the archipelago to the mainland.
Dragonsport - abandoned sukere shipping port on the Orin Ocean, south of Pirate Isle and south of the Gulf of Orin, adjacent to the Dragon Caves.
Dread Sea - the ocean south of the Black Desert on the Northern Continent.
Dreeym Feeacklagh - Toothy Ridge, the name for the Eternal Mountain Divide during the time of Spitemorta's empire.
Droim Fiacail - Toothy Ridge, the name for the Eternal Mountain Divide during the time of the Elven exodus onto the Strah.
Duiche Fhiain - Jutish Elven for Wilderlands, which see.
Dunes - a large area of shifting sand hills between the Grog Meadows west of the Dragon Mountains and the south-western coast of the Northern Continent.
Duradan Deannaigh - Jutish Elven village massacred by the Marooderyn Imshee, one half mile south of the Loxmere River, two leagues upriver from the mouth of the Gold River.

Fairy Valley Junction - small town in Cyclopsia where Goll's overland trade route joins the Fairy River on its way to Gollsport and the Gulf of Orin.
Far - small kingdom near the Port of Niarg, bordered by Niarg on the north, west and East, by Loxmere on the south-west and by Elsmore on the south-east.
Fates' Hospital for the Sick - the hospital which Minuet and Bethan worked in, across the road from the Silver Dragon and down the road from the Yellow Rose Tavern.

Fen - Elven village, one league down the coast of the Jut of Niarg from Oyster Cove.

Ffynnon - (Fountain) a large artesian spring which feeds the South Branch of North Fork of the Loxmere River.
Fire Domes - extinct red obsidian volcanoes making up the western flank of the southern Douar Benniget Mountains, along the eastern Mammvro region, the ancestral home of the dragons in the south-western Dark Continent.

Forest Primeval - (Forest Primycies) the vast virgin oak forest that once covered all of the Fairy Valley and all of what was turned into the Chokewood Forest by Razorbauch.

Gold Lake - a lake on the crater of an extinct volcano at the southern end of the Pitmaster's Kettles, origin of the Gold River.
Gold River - connects Gold Lake and Loxmere River.
Goldtown - town one league south of Gold Lake.
