“Not yet, but we are doing this in the proper order. Marriage, house, babies.”
“You ready to sell your condo?”
“For you? Anything?”
“Even sell the jag?”
“I’m not selling the jag. We’ll get something bigger for you.”
She laughed. “I love you. I don’t need half your business. I’m happy working for you.”
“Too bad. It’s half yours.” He kissed the inside of her wrist. His phone buzzed in his pocket. “That’s the limo. We need to go.”
“A limo?”
“A limo to an event for a charity benefiting abused children where I’ll speak about my teen years and why I started my business. And everyone will be jealous of the beautiful woman on my arm.”
“Kiss me once more.”
He bent to her mouth, and she pressed her tongue inside his mouth, tasting him. She brought her hands to his jaw and scraped her fingers across his beard. This was no dream, this was her reality.
