Trevor laughed. "Sounds like a good talk."

"Oh, yeah. Jamie approved and you noticed how he approved of you as marriage material," Diego reminded him.

"With you and Lance egging him on," Trevor said.

"We're all fans of yours," Diego told him. "The going theory is that you are irresistible."

"All of you have really been good to me." Trevor looked so grateful.

"Hardly. I want to spoil you rotten, give you everything," Diego told him.

  "Don't," Trevor warned him.

"What are you worried about?" Diego gestured all around him. "Look where you are. I'm restraining myself. Plus I don't have the budget for what I wish I could give you. You deserve the best. You deserve a guy to go all out even if he has to spend his last penny." He knew that wasn't the way to win Trevor's heart. Diego squeezed his hand. "Don't worry. I won't be reckless. I only want to do what makes you happy, but I wanted you to know how I feel."

"Embarrass me, you mean," Trevor said and ducked his head.

"I can't help it if you get embarrassed when a guy tells you how wonderful you are and how much he wants you," Diego teased him. Of course, that only embarrassed him more. "Are you going to blush through our vows too, because they are going to be sappy as hell?"

Now Trevor hung his head. "You drive me crazy," he muttered helplessly.

"Same here. I'm glad I'm not alone in this," Diego told him. He had been at the mercy of his feelings all this time, and he wanted to share every crazy minute with Trevor.

  Chapter 18

As soon as their dinner was over and they were back in the car, Diego leaned over and kissed Trevor, wrapping his arms around him to pull him closer. Trevor didn't let him get too carried away though. He pushed him back and said, "Drive before we get arrested."

Diego grunted but he turned the ignition and pulled out of their parking spot. Getting on the road, he double-checked the time then headed away from their way home.

"We still have a little more time," he told Trevor.

His hand was resting on Trevor's thigh, his thumb stroking the inseam but not moving up into dangerous territory. Keeping his hand right where it was, Diego asked, "You want to park and make out in the car or keep driving?"

  "Park," Trevor said.

"That's the answer I was hoping for," Diego told him and squeezed his thigh. He needed to get Trevor alone like he needed to breathe.

"You wooed me with buffalo wings. How can I resist you?"

Diego drove away from busy streets and avoided residential neighborhoods. He drove by an office complex, nearly abandoned at this hour. Passing it, he turned onto a side street. This was a very quiet area. A small park with a number of picnic benches showed no signs of life. He spotted some parking behind tall bushes and went for it.

He turned the ignition off and looked all around. No one was in sight and they were well hidden. When he was done checking that the coast was clear, he turned back to find a pair of fiery, blue eyes staring at him from the darkness of the interior of the car.

He only had one quick moment to register that hungry look before Trevor's mouth was on his, kissing him and pushing him back. With one leg thrown over him, Trevor was kissing him hungrily. Diego didn't want the kiss to end, but he was feeling cramped behind the wheel.

He pushed Trevor away a little. "Back in your seat. There's more room over there." His order was more effective once he added a kiss and used it to get Trevor to give in. He was a lot more cooperative while Diego kissed him and groped him.

With a hard, thorough kiss, Diego pressed him back against the headrest. His tongue stroked against Trevor's. His hands pushed his legs apart so he could get between them. Hurriedly he unzipped his own fly and Trevor's too.

He stopped kissing him so he could get into position.

"Get your feet on the dashboard," he told Trevor as he lifted his legs up and out of his way. He needed to make room to kneel in front of him. There still wasn't enough room, but he didn't care if he was uncomfortable as long as he got to taste Trevor again.

Considering they were doing this in a public place, he didn't go slow. He took Trevor deep, pumping his head over his cock hard and fast. Hearing Trevor's moans fill the darkness inside the car, feeling the tension as his thighs flexed, Diego wished he could do this forever.

He hummed with pleasure in rhythm with Trevor's cock filling his mouth. Looking up, he saw Trevor with his head thrown back, his throat exposed, chest rising and falling. Then there was a burst of ecstasy as Trevor's hips thrust up and Diego swallowed around his cock, thirsty for every drop of his come.

Looking into Trevor's eyes, Diego released his cock. He was panting, still trying to draw enough air into his lungs. With his hands in his hair, Trevor tilted his head up for a kiss.

Somehow Diego managed to get back into his own seat. As soon as he was back in the driver's side, Trevor's head was in his lap, bobbing up and down. Diego was close and watching his cock sliding in and out of Trevor's beautiful mouth finished him off, had him grunting and spilling down his throat.

They were gasping for breath and kissing anyway. "Look what you do to me," Diego said. Trevor had given him a feeling of sweet ecstasy and insane bliss. Diego held on to him and buried his face in the crook of his neck. He didn't think anyone could make him feel this good. "I'm never letting you go," he mumbled against Trevor's warm skin as he breathed him in.

Even with their detour, they came back home in time. As they stepped into the lobby of their building, Trevor got a text. "It's Stephanie, my stepcousin, she wants to know if I can talk."

Going up in the elevator, Diego listened to Trevor's side of the conversation worriedly.

"Nothing major," Trevor assured him before getting back to talking to his informant.

When they got to their floor, Diego went ahead but Trevor stayed back to talk to his stepcousin. He didn't want the boys to overhear, mostly Jamie since Zane wouldn't understand what was going on.

Going to his place, Diego stopped short as he saw that Jamie and Zane's hair was spiked. He said hi to Lance, gave the kids a kiss hello each and pretended he didn't see anything different about the way they looked. He assured the boys that Trevor was on his way. "He's talking to someone. He'll be here soon."

"Look, Dad, look," Jamie said and pointed at his spiked hair and Zane's.

"What happened to your hair, guys?" Diego said as if he only now noticed.

"Lance did it," Jamie said and grinned.

"You guys look so good. That means it's picture time," Diego decided.

"Make Dad's hair pointy too," Jamie said to Lance while Diego snapped pictures.

"No. Lance has to go. He's very busy. He has to go," Diego said urgently in case Lance had any ideas of messing with his hair. Since Lance did need to leave soon, he got the money out to pay him.

"Will Trevor like it?" Jamie wondered and peered at Zane who was in his pajamas, sitting in his playpen and playing with a smiley-faced clock.

"Sure he will. Check out how handsome you guys look," Diego said and showed him some pictures that made Jamie giggle.

It didn't take long for Trevor to come through the door and take in the sight of the boys with their new hairstyles.

"Look what's been done to your boy," Diego said and he lifted Zane out of his playpen.

"He looks good," Trevor said as Diego brought Zane over to him for a hug and a kiss. He got out his phone too.

"It's picture time again," Jamie announced. "Lance made our hair do this. Is it good?"

"Very good," Trevor said and took a picture of his smiling face.

"Good job, Lance," Diego told him. "And I'm talking about the babysitting too. Thank so much for doing this."

"Yes. Thank you," Trevor said as Lance got ready to go.

"As long as you two had fun, that's all the thanks I need," Lance said then he stared hard at Trevor like he was trying to read his mind. Trevor got flustered and Lance got his answer. "Someone had a good time."
<
br />   Once Lance had embarrassed Trevor and left, they got both kids ready for bed. The playpen got pushed into Jamie's room and the boys were both asleep pretty quickly. As Trevor picked up the toys that were strewn everywhere, Diego finally got the chance to ask him about the phone call he got.

"What was the news from your stepcousin?"

"A social worker did a home visit at my father's and stepmother's house. They pointed out some things they needed to deal with. My stepmother was very indignant about it. She resented the criticism and was kind of bitchy to the social worker," Trevor told him as he finished straightening.

"I like the sound of that. You passed the home visit with flying colors," Diego told him and put an arm around his waist to lead him to the couch so they could sit down together.

"It's good news, but they'll probably fix things up and it won't count against them in the long run," Trevor said with a sigh.

"They didn't make a good impression. That's what counts."

"Also my dad kept calling Zane 'Zack'. That impressed nobody. He kept fidgeting and twitching nervously too. As Stephanie put it, 'Aunt Corinne was pissed.'"

"That's good news for you too. I bet you could guess Zane's name on the first try," Diego joked. "It's great that your stepcousin is on your side."

"When Stephanie found out that the only reason her aunt wanted custody of Zane was because I was gay, she got in touch with me and offered to be my informant. She's been great, and it was heartening to have her reach out to me like that. Before I met you, I felt very alone in my fight against my dad and stepmother." Trevor smiled at him.

"You're not alone now," Diego said and drew him into a long hug that turned into the two of them snuggling on the couch and doing some light kissing and groping as they watched TV.

Diego was asleep in his bed with Trevor next to him. With his body so close, Diego noticed right away when he started to shiver and his arm jerked. His breath came in shallow gasps. When Diego shook him gently, Trevor's whole body tensed and he made a frightened sound.

Calling his name a few times, Diego finally got him to open his eyes. At first Trevor only held his breath and stared, eyes wide and filled with fright.

"Everything is OK," Diego assured him.

Trevor blinked and nodded, and his lungs started taking in air again. He wasn't breathing so much as gulping air. His eyes kept darting around the room like there might be a threat there.

Diego turned on a light, and Trevor squinted at the sudden brightness then apologized. "Sorry. I guess I had a nightmare."

"Do you remember what it was about?" Diego asked. He handed Trevor a bottle of water and leaned on an elbow next to him.

"Only that it was dark and I was scared. I think I was a kid." Trevor's forehead creased and he rubbed his eyes.

"Did you remember anything new recently?" Diego wondered as he stroked his hair.

"I don't think so. Everything from that time is murky, dark, and scary. It's hard to sort anything out," Trevor said.

Diego could tell that it was frustrating to him not to be able to come up with anything when Zane's future was at stake. "Don't push yourself. You still have time. Something will come back," he assured Trevor.

Rolling over, Trevor hugged him and buried his face in his shoulder. After a moment lying like that, Diego heard him breathing evenly then he sighed. Speaking against Diego's bare skin, he mumbled, "It's amazing to have you so close, right where I need you."

The next morning, Trevor was a little slow to get going, like the nightmare from last night was still weighing on him. Zane was raring to go though. Curious about everything, always ready to explore and make noise, Zane was a bright ray of sunshine. Diego took him to the kitchen along with Jamie then Trevor joined them.

"Zane has discovered that the pantry door makes the best noise when he bangs on it," Diego told Trevor and kissed him on the cheek. The door had a lock on it but that didn't stop Zane from getting his fun where he could.

"I'm sure your next door neighbors love it," Trevor said as he lifted Zane into his arms for a kiss then set him down in his highchair.

"I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think the walls are that thin," Diego said and brought two bowls of cereal to the kids. He let Trevor make the coffee the way he liked while he fed Zane.

"We got some of it near your mouth," Diego said as Zane kept turning his head. Once he had a spoonful, he was eager for more though.

Trevor sat at the kitchen table, but he didn't have any breakfast. Done eating, Zane was cheerfully shredding a napkin then offering the pieces to Diego.

"Aren't you generous. Thank you, Zane," Diego said as he took the shredded napkin pieces from him before the little guy ate them.

Jamie was done with his cereal too and now he stared at Trevor. "Trevor has a tummy ache," he decided.

Trevor smiled at him. "It's not a tummy ache. I just have one or two things bothering me. That's all."

"I'll give you a hug and then you'll feel better." Jamie jumped down from his chair and stepped over to Trevor. Opening his arms, he gave Trevor a nice, warm hug.

Diego smiled at the sight while getting Zane out of his highchair.

Seeing that he was now free, Jamie told him, "You too, Zane. Give Trevor a hug."

Zane sort of did. Jamie didn't rate the hug very highly, but it did wonders for Trevor. Diego added a hug of his own, circling both Trevor and Zane in his arms.

"Zane is bad at hugging," Jamie told his Diego. "But I made Trevor feel better, much, much better."

"That Jamie is a miracle worker. One hug from him and all the world's problems are solved. I want one too," Diego told him. He picked him up and hugged him. Then he brought him over to Trevor, who was holding Zane. "Let's do a fist bump with Zane. Good man that's how you do it," Diego said as their little fists connected.

"Everybody. Everybody do a fist bump with Zane," Jamie said.

"A four way fists bump between guys. Doesn't get any manlier than this," Diego said.

Still a little worried, he looked at Trevor to see how he was feeling. He was relieved that Trevor seemed more like himself. No longer far away, his eyes reflected the early morning light. He was right there with them, sharing this moment, smiling brightly.

  Chapter 19

After he witnessed his nightmare, Diego didn't want to let Trevor sleep alone. Every night, they took turns sleeping at his place and Trevor's. It felt really good to go to sleep together and wake up next to Trevor's warm, hard body. Diego would have wanted it that way even without the nightmares to worry about.

Their sleeping arrangements were just one way in which their lives were entwining. They ate most meals together and took care of the kids together too. Jamie accepted it without question, like Trevor and Zane were always supposed to be part of their lives.

With the weekend coming, Diego was just thinking of making some plans, when a phone call took care of it. When Trevor came back from work, he told him about it. "Mrs. Dundee's assistant got in touch with me about that donation you got her to make. She also passed on another invitation to visit Mrs. Dundee this weekend."

"Not another party?" Trevor said like parties were terrible things.

"What? We had a great time," Diego reminded him.

"Yes, we did," Trevor admitted with a smile.

"This time she wants to take us for a spin in her convertible. Kids too, and she invited Lance as well. Or as she calls him 'that curly headed angel'. Lance better watch out."

"How big is this convertible?" Trevor said, but Diego wasn't worried.

On Saturday, they picked up Lance and drove to Mrs. Dundee's house around midmorning. Since they would be riding in a convertible, Diego made sure Jamie had a cap on, good thing since it was bright and sunny with the only gray clouds far away in the west.

Zane's cap was still packed. He was eager to walk, so Trevor and Diego each held one of his hands. As they were about to go around the house toward the garage in the back, Jamie peered down at Zane.
r />   "It's too much sun for Zane. He's going like this," Jamie said and made a scrunched up face.

He then took off his baseball cap and put it on Zane. Zane blinked then pulled his hands free so he could take the cap off and play with it. Trevor steadied him with one arm as he wobbled and played with Jamie's cap.

"That's for your head," Jamie told him and then tried to explain to him how hats worked. Every time he put the hat on his head, Zane took it off and grinned like a little devil.

That's when Lance spotted Mrs. Dundee coming out of her front door. They all called out good morning to her. As they all went toward her garage together, Diego let Lance, Trevor and the kids walk ahead of them so he could hang back with Mrs. Dundee and thank her for her donation.

"I don't mind spreading it around," Mrs. Dundee told him. "I've had one talent my whole life, and that was marrying rich. My three husbands weren't a bad lot in other respects either – handsome enough and nice enough. I have no regrets. I do right by my friends, and I find that more often than not, they do right by me."

"The kids at the science camp appreciate it. They're using some special technique to make a plaque with your name to show their gratitude. It's one of their projects," Diego told her.

"That's nice, but a summer camp just for doing science. That's no kind of fun. What else have you got that my money can pay for?" she asked.

Diego was surprised that she wanted to make another donation, but he didn't waste time coming up with something. "If you want fun, one camp in Maryland has a pool they can't use because it needs fixing. It's just sitting there empty."

"Is that so? Well I'm going to make sure those little nerds can swim their little hearts out," she vowed. "How much to fix it."

Diego got his phone out so he could look up the email he got about it and quoted her the number. Mrs. Dundee agreed and Diego texted her assistant the info, so she could write up the check.
