“I have a lot to be thankful for,” Lori said and folded the laundry as she sat on the couch.

“I heard a lot of people from Repose are driving to Dallas to catch the fights. How are Kyran and Mateo feeling?” Chloe asked.

“They’ve been putting in a lot of hours at the dojo. I’ll be happy once it’s all over,” Lori said.

“Are you at all worried about seeing Bragan?” Evilly asked.

“I guess I am. I don’t know how I’ll react, really. I guess you could say I’m nervous.”

“Well, you look incredible, and I’m certain he’s going to be jealous of you with your four men. By this time, he has to know he’s matched up against Mateo,” Evilly said.

“I know, which concerns me. I mean, I know it’s been years since I’ve seen Bragan, but he could try to hurt Mateo on purpose to get back at me.”

“Your men aren’t stupid. If they didn’t know Bragan was your ex, then yeah, I’d say you should warn them, but everyone knows what’s going on here. This fight is more than taking the state championship title. It’s about who the best man is and the winner of you,” Chloe said.

“Oh brother, that’s all I need. More drama. I just don’t want to face Bragan, that’s all.”

“Maybe facing him will finally bring closure to the whole screwed-up situation?” Chloe suggested.

  “I suppose so,” Lori said.

“I say ignore him and focus on Mateo and Kyran. I don’t know how you take your eyes off any of them, Lori. They’re gorgeous,” Evilly told her.

“Thank you. So, I have a dilemma. I need a dress for the after-party. Apparently afterward everyone is invited to an event at the hotel, and you get dressed up.”

“Oh, I love shopping,” Chloe said.

Lori smiled. “Great, then we can leave in an hour,” she said and winked, then lifted the laundry basket and carried it over to the stairs.

“What’s for lunch before we go?” Chloe asked.

  “Lunch?” Lori replied.

“Uh, yeah, lunch. I’m going to need to be fed before we go.” Evilly chuckled.

“Lunch,” Cara yelled out, and they laughed. Lori walked over, bent down, and picked Cara up. “Lunch it is, and then Grandma Lyza will be arriving to come stay with you and Mamma while I’m gone. Let’s make some lunch.”

“How are you feeling?” Kyran asked Mateo as they waited for the matches to get started. Kyran would go up against Nikko Summers, and then after a few other main matches, Mateo would fight Bragan.

“I feel pretty good,” he said but then looked around him.

“You worried about Bragan seeing Lori?” Kyran asked.

“Of course I am, aren’t you?”

“Yes, but it may be a good thing for her to face him after everything that happened.”

“Not unless one of us or her brothers are around. I don’t trust that guy, never did,” he added.

“I don’t, either. What was up with the humorous comments about our dojo, anyway?”

“Trying to get into our heads. They never like it when the small-town dojos come up out of nowhere with talent and take state titles.”

“Well, they’re going to have to get used to it. If we win, we’re going national.”

“I know. You think Lori will come with us?”

“If we ask her, she will.”

“Where is she anyway?” he asked and then looked around the big room filled with people. When his eyes landed on long, tan legs in a short, beige skirt, and a black tank top that fit like a glove, he knew he’d found her. Lori’s long, brown hair was flowing past her shoulders, and she looked like a goddess. Other people gazed at her as she passed, and he felt proud but then jealous. Especially as she stopped to talk to someone at the counter that was selling T-shirts. When he saw who it was, and Lori’s reaction he started heading toward them with Kyran taking notice at the same time.

  “Shit,” Kyran stated.

  * * * *

Lori was looking at the T-shirts, trying to find some for the guys. They were really cool. As she held one up to check the size, she heard the voice right behind her and felt the hand on her hip.

“That’s way too big for you, darling. With a body like this, you should be showing it off.”

She turned around, shocked to see Bragan standing there. He smiled wide as he looked her over. She wore a tight-fitting top that accentuated her large breasts, and his gaze landed directly there. She damned herself for not reacting quickly enough, but when she did, she felt she was coming off calm and direct.

“Bragan?” she said, looking at him as if she wasn’t quite sure it was he or maybe forgot how good-looking the charming, fit asshole was. That seemed to hit him hard in his ego as he squinted at her and then licked his lower lip.

“I didn’t recognize you. It’s been forever.” With that, she turned away from him, indicating she wasn’t even going to give him the courtesy of a fuller conversation.

She looked at the merchant. “I need four of these in extra-large, please,” she told the man.

“Anything for you, doll,” he said, and she smiled.

A hand landed on her hip, and Bragan pressed up against her, causing her to grab on to the counter in front of her.

“You can’t blow me off, Lori. I know you too well. We go way back. Way, way back to the shy little virgin whose cherry I popped. You’re bound to me, baby. Don’t matter how many other dicks have been in this body, you and me are bound.” His hand smoothed along her belly, then lower, like he was going to touch her mound, and she reacted.

She slammed her elbow back hard, hitting him in the gut, catching him off guard. The man was steel like her men, but the surprise move bought her time to turn around and rage.

She gave him a shove. He went to grab her wrist, and she countermoved with a slap down at his arm.

“Don’t you dare touch me. You have no right to touch me. I’ll call the police right now and arrest your ass for sexual harassment and assault.”

“You can’t get me arrested for sexual harassment when we’ve already had sex, darling,” he said smugly.

“I haven’t seen you in over three years. The last time I did, you tried to kill me when you assaulted me in the bathroom. I never did press charges, but there’s this thing called the statute of limitations, and I got plenty of time to bring back up assault, attempted rape, hell, attempted murder with the slimiest lawyer I can get my hands on, and charge your ass for the hell you put me through.” She stepped toward him and poked him in the chest. “So touch me ever again, asshole, hell, speak to me in an impolite manner, and I’ll come charging like you never saw any man or woman come at you before.”

She turned around and smiled at the merchant, who stared at Bragan with a pissed-off expression.

“Is there a problem over here?” The relief she felt hearing Mateo’s voice nearly made her knees buckle. She smiled at him and Kyran.

“No problem. Bragan was just wishing us good luck today.” She paid the merchant and glanced at Mateo and Kyran as Bragan stared at them. He gave her the bag and a wink as she said thank you. Then she turned around and stood between Kyran and Mateo.

“We’ll take care of it on the mat,” Bragan said and eyed Mateo over.

“Sounds good to me,” Mateo replied and placed his hand under Lori’s hair and neck in a possessive manner that made her insides do somersaults.

Bragan stared at her body, giving her the shivers.

“Doesn’t matter how many men you fuck. I’ll always own you,” he said very seriously. He pointed at her. “You remember that when I send your boyfriend back to you in a body bag.”

She couldn’t believe the expression he had. That angry, sadistic expression she remembered all too well. Her eyes filled up with tears, and in her mind, she thought about that night he’d assaulted her, and the things he’d said to her and how he’d shoved her so hard she hit her head against the porcelain toilet. She’d felt fear and pain that night li
ke nothing before.

“Aw, baby, it’s okay,” Mateo said, and he turned her in his arms and hugged her tight. She gripped on to his T-shirt and felt her body shaking. Kyran caressed her back and her hair.

“Don’t be scared. We’re here to protect you no matter what.”

She pulled back and took an unsteady breath. She locked gazes with Mateo, who cupped her cheeks and rubbed his thumbs along her cheekbones as he held her gaze. She held on to his firearms.

“I didn’t know that was going to happen. I just spoke without thinking, and stood up to him, and felt like I had to get it out and show him how confident I am now and not scared of him.”

“We were right there, darling. We heard and saw everything. You did great, and you stood your ground,” Mateo told her.

“Then why do I feel so scared right now? Why am I shaking so much?” she asked him.

“Because you just faced a demon from your past. A man who had control of you in a way no one can understand but you. Lori, you broke the ties he had on you. You stopped the abuse, that control he had by leaving, and that choice made you the strong, beautiful, sexy woman you are today, and it also brought you to me and my brothers. We love you. Our whole lives are ahead of us. You complete us, baby. We respect you, love you, are committed to you, and this is real,” Kyran said and pressed his lips to the top of her head.

She looked at him, and a tear rolled down her cheek. “Jesus, Kyran, I didn’t know you could be so deep,” she teased, and Mateo chuckled as she wiped her eyes and then hugged Kyran. He smirked and Mateo laughed.

“Let’s get back to our little training station. We have two matches to win and then a woman to make love to all night long in that awesome honeymoon suite in the hotel,” Mateo said and gave her ass a caress.

She smiled and then bent down to pick up the bag with the shirts she’d bought.

“What’s in the bag?” Kyran asked, placing his arm around her waist as they walked.

“Oh, I bought you guys some shirts to remember today’s event. You both made it to state. That’s pretty damn cool.”

“Just wait until you see us in nationals,” Mateo said with confidence, and she widened her eyes in surprise.

“Never been there, so I expect you guys to be the first ones to take me there,” she replied.

Mateo chuckled. And ran a hand along her ass. “Honey, we’ll be taking you just about everywhere. Maybe in the elevator later on our way back to the hotel room.” He winked and then brought her hand to his lips and kissed her knuckles. Her face felt flushed, and she was going to look away, but instead she looked right at him.

“In the elevator, huh? Sounds like a lot of fun. You know, they have cameras in there, so security could watch. You would like that, Mateo?”

He squinted and shook his head. “Fuck no. You’re mine and my brothers’. No elevators, no hallways, only behind closed doors where we have you all to ourselves and can muffle those wild sounds you make when Kyran and Leif do the things they do to you that get you out of control and coming like a faucet.”

“Jesus, Mateo, we have a fucking match in less than an hour. I can’t fight with a hard-on,” Kyran stated.

“Then we should take some time right now. See any rooms with doors we can sneak into?” she asked and pulled forward, looking around.

She gasped when a hand landed on her ass. “Nice one, Lori. Let’s go. This has to be quick, but I think it will help take off the edge.”

Mateo pulled her along the corridor and right to a set of multiple doors that said private. He took out a key, opened the door, and when they stepped inside it was a small warm-up room with mats, a bathroom, and refreshment table. Before she could check it out, Kyran pulled the bag from her hand and tossed it to the side and then shoved her skirt and panties down.

“Kyran,” she said, surprised at his move, and then Mateo pulled her close and kissed her. Nothing else mattered but getting their clothes off as fast as they could and making love on the mat.

Mateo lifted her up and pressed her against the matted wall. She ran her fingers through his hair as he pushed his pants down and then aligned his cock with her pussy and stroked right into her. She gasped and then moaned. She felt completely turned on by his need to be inside her and possess her. She knew a lot of it had to do with Bragan and his words about her belonging to him always. That wasn’t true at all. He was in the past. Her men were her present and her future.

“Share, brother. Share,” Kyran said, and Mateo eased back and then lowered her down to the mats. She lay over him, lifting up and thrusting on top of Mateo as Kyran began to ready her ass for his cock. He smoothed her cream along her anus and then licked her. When he pressed a finger into her ass, her body reacted. She moaned and thrust back, needing him to fill her ass with cock. She felt desperate.

  “Kyran, please.”

“I want to be sure you’re ready.”

“I am more than ready. Hurry up,” she demanded, and Mateo chuckled.

“Fuck her ass, bro. She needs it like we do.” His hand moved up under her hair to her neck in that possessive hold Mateo kept doing to her. It aroused her, and she felt her pussy cream some more. A moment later Kyran’s cock replaced his fingers, and he slowly pressed into her ass. She felt his hand on her hip, and even that aroused her.

“Oh God, I love when you’re inside of me. I love your possessive holds, your expressions,” she said with her eyes closed.

“We love everything about you, too, baby, and especially that you’re all ours and no one else’s. You understand that, Lori?” Mateo asked, and she looked him in the eyes, and she saw his serious expression.

  “Oh yeah, all yours always.”

“Enough talking. I need this,” Kyran said, and then both men began to thrust into her, showing their desire, claiming her body, and loving her. Everything else seemed unimportant. These were her men, and life was going to be nothing but happiness from here on out.

“Come on, Kyran. You can do this!” Marco yelled out as they all cheered him on in the match. Nikko Summers was up three points, and Marco was getting nervous. A glance toward the right of the mat and he saw Mateo was trying to warm up for his event, yet his eyes kept looking toward the mat his brother was on.

When Kyran made a move and flipped Nikko onto his back on the mat, the crowd went wild.

“Holy shit. I’ve never seen anything like this before. This is freaking awesome,” Cesar said to Marco.

Marco chuckled. “I told you these competitions are crazy. Anything can happen. A move in the last two seconds could turn the match,” Marco replied.

“Go for the Turner. The Turner, Kyran,” Gideon yelled out. Marco couldn’t believe they were all there, even her father, and they were cheering Kyran on.

When Kyran did another move, it tied up the score, and there was a minute left to go.

“Come on, Kyran!” Lori stood and yelled. “The dragon. Do the dragon and backstep,” she screamed at the top of her lungs, and Marco couldn’t believe it. Then it was like Kyran heard her, and he did the move, and the sound of Nikko’s body slamming down against the mat echoed in the room.

Everyone yelled out “ooh,” but Lori screamed out “Yes!” fist-pumped, and he smiled wide as the clock counted down and the buzzer went off. Kyran won. They all stood and cheered for him, and Lori grabbed on to Marco’s shoulders and hugged him tight.

“He is awesome. He did so damn awesome,” she said, and Marco turned toward her and kissed her. When he released her lips, she appeared stunned.

“What was that for?” she asked.

“Your excitement, your knowledge of moves I didn’t know you had, and for being you, which is perfect.” She blushed, and then he winked at Gideon.

“She didn’t tell you guys about her immense knowledge of martial arts and jujitsu?” Gideon asked.

“She has a plethora of information and knows probably more than most of us, but she shied away from teaching,” Yorvan said.

Marco looked at her as she tried to blow off her brothers. A wave of the hand and she mumbled something.

“Don’t listen to them. So how long before Mateo goes?” she asked, hugging Marco’s arm. Then Leif pressed up against her back and kissed her shoulder.

“Ten minutes,” he said, and Marco felt her tighten up. He squinted and looked down into her eyes.

“He’s going to be just fine.”

He knew she was extra worried. Mateo and Kyran had told them and her brothers about the confrontation with Bragan. They were all keeping her close.

They didn’t have enough time to go down and congratulate Kyran as the announcers said Mateo’s name and then Bragan’s from Bracco Dojo. Marco was surprised that people booed Bragan and his team of coaches as they took position on the other side of the mat.

“Go down there with him. I’m fine here with my brothers and dad,” Lori said.

He looked at them. Gideon placed his arm over her shoulder.

“She’s safe with us,” he said, and Marco winked at her and then looked at Leif.

  “Ready?” Marco asked.

  “Let’s go.”

Marco and Leif got down to the mats and stood next to Kyran, Damon, Milton, and a few other guys who trained and helped coach Mateo for the event. They all wore Lawson Dojo T-shirts that had the dojo emblem on the front and an American flag across the back.

Marco looked at Leif. “We need to get a T-shirt for Lori with our logo on it.”

“Can it say taken on it, too?” Leif asked and nodded toward the stands. Three guys took over the seats they had just vacated, and they were talking to Lori.

“Her brothers and dad are there. We can see everything from here,” Marco told him.

“Let’s go, Mateo. Put this dick in his place,” Leif said as he stood right next to Mateo.

Marco gave him a nod, and Mateo nodded back but then stared forward, doing some jabs and kicking out his legs. This ultimate fighting style was a combination of grappling, wrestling, jujitsu, and other forms of martial arts. It was intense, but Marco knew his brother was well trained. Even in the Special Forces unit they had belonged to, he had been a top hand-to-hand-combat medal winner. He was smart and took his time, and didn’t let his anger affect him.
