Charged up but feeling immensely satisfied, sipping a brandy, Blake stared at her in awe.
“How do you feel?” he asked softly.
“Punished, loved, floating,” she whispered.
“I’ve seen you like this so many times,” he murmured, “I just never knew it was you. For years, I’ve been looking at you.”
“I don’t understand,” she mumbled.
“You are my vision brought to life,” he sighed. “I’ll explain later, but this was meant to be. The wrinkle in the carpet, everything, and I think this is just the beginning.”
Blake didn’t audition for a role in Carnivore, nor did he audition for any other acting roles. Belinda didn’t go into private nursing, and she didn’t return to the trauma center.
When George Barrett recovered he knew exactly how to show his appreciation to Belinda and Blake for what they’d done for him.
Belinda had told him about Blake’s work, how they had met, the story about him stepping up to save the elderly woman being mugged on a dark night in the Palisades, and George’s brilliantly creative mind swirled and cogitated, and popped out an inspired idea.
He wrote a pilot for a television series based on Blake’s life, but with a twist. He called it, appropriately, The Stuntman, and while the show was about a stuntman, it was after the sun set that the stuntman became someone special, moving through the city and helping those in need. The stuntman didn’t have super powers, just his cunning, his athletic skill, and his charm. George gave Blake the option of playing the lead, or being the stunt coordinator, or both. Blake chose both.
Knowing Belinda wanted to be near Blake, George offered her the role of the on-screen medic, and though she was mostly in the background, Harry, the super-agent, did what he did best. He spread it around to the entertainment gossip magazines and televisions shows, that Belinda Harris, the girl playing the role of the medic, was the love of Blake Berenson’s life. The romance of their off-screen relationship was slowly brought to life on the show, turning Belinda into a star in her own right.
Josh was also a recipient of George’s generosity. Cast as himself, a young stuntman learning the ropes, and Blake’s sidekick during the late night adventures, with his dark hair, blue eyes, and good looks, Josh soon had a growing fan club, and joined the ranks of the elite hot young actors in Hollywood.

A week before Thanksgiving, on a blustery, cold, rainy night, inside the bar, Belinda’s favorite room in the house, she was curled up in Blake’s lap in front of the fire.
“I have something for you,” she said softly, and reaching into her pocket she pulled out a small package wrapped in red paper.
“What’s this?” Blake asked.
“It’s something I’ve held on to, something that’s very special to me, and I wanted you to have it because, well, open it and you’ll understand.”
Tearing the paper, he lifted the lid of the box and stared inside. Set inside a glass heart was the note he’d left on her pillow eight months before.
Good morning. As you read this I’m thinking about you. I’ll call you when I can. Text me when you get home. Be good, I’ll know if you’re not. Xxx. B.
“A keepsake of my first night as your Dom,” he sighed.
“Exactly,” she twinkled up at him. “I wanted you to have it now, because this Thanksgiving is all about how grateful I am that you’re in my life, and that note sort of, marked the beginning of us.”
“It’s so strange that you should be giving this to me tonight,” he mumbled.
“It is? Why?”
“Because I have something for you too, for the same reason that you’ve just given this to me. Something that says how grateful I am to have you in my life, and, uh, a bit more.”
“You do?”
“I do,” he nodded swallowing back an unexpected wave of emotion. “I, uh, it’s this.”
Pulling a black velvet box from his pocket, she stared in wonder as he dropped on to his knees in front of her, and opening the lid, exposed the diamond to sparkle in the fire’s flames.

Fabulous sequel to The Warrior and the Petulant Princess, the first warrior book. I was happy to see the Larian and Lizbett return (from the first book), but I simply loved the new characters, especially Darius, the hunky warrior with a hurting heart. Angelica (what a name!) is a mischievous witch. They’re working together to help Darius back in his home of Zanderone.
Angelica is both naughty and vulnerable. As a witch, she thinks she can’t have love in her life, but wants to meet Larian and Lizbett because she’s heard they are madly in love – just what she wants to find! She wants to figure out how they do it. Angelica is happy but lonely – so she casts a spell so he will want to take her to bed (wouldn’t you like to do just that!!). However, it didn’t go perfectly.
The story is full of adventures, excitement and a real page turner. Don’t figure on reading this one just before bed and expect to sleep! Erotic spanking, romance, passion and discipline fill the pages. This was terrific, and I really enjoyed it.

I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and had been waiting for Act Two.
This book is a novel in every sense of the word. It has in-depth characters and a story line that holds your attention. It has action, it has twists and turns, it keeps you guessing, and it has tons of romance, sex and spanking. Like the Billionaire series which got me ‘hooked’, it also has elements of BDSM, with a light touch, just enough to make you wish you were Bratty Brittany. (Or Beautiful Brittany, as he calls her when she’s a good gir!!!l). Honestly, it doesn’t get much better than this. Fabulous read. Thanks again Maggie

I absolutely loved this book!! I couldn’t put it down — at all. It was intriguing to hear about relationships, and D/s in particular, from a Dom’s point of view. I loved the various women and how he dealt with their needs, desires, brattiness, controlling, or defiant behaviors. The dialogue was hot and the spanking and sex scenes were breath taking. Maggie Carpenter hits a home run again, and hats off to James Collier for this sexy, hot book.

I always enjoy reading about Cassie and Chad, they’re like old friends and of course we can’t forget Mickey. I love how she had Chad’s horse showing in this book and Cassie’s jumping. This book was HOT, hotter than the other ones I think, lots of sex and great spankings of course. Chad really helped bring out more of Cassie’s submissive side in this one. Also the finally get married in this one! Which is bittersweet because it probably means this is the end of their adventure. It was a fun ride!

I’ve been a fan of this author for a while, and grabbed this as soon as I saw it. It’s a bit of a departure, not because of the subject matter, or even because of the characters, the Dom is as charming and wicked as ever, and the damsel truly willful, but because the story is strictly focused on the two of them. I’ve always enjoyed the lesser characters in her other books, but I didn’t miss any subplots or second stars. There was so much of the sexy stuff, and spanking they weren’t necessary. Just one note – and I won’t be a spoiler – initially I thought the characters got into things rather quickly, and I thought, hmmm, not sure about that, but don’t be fooled. Ms Carpenter knows what she’s doing.

This is another great book, one I enjoyed from start to finish, and I’m hoping there’s more to come. If you like strong cowboys and strong, independent women who have a mind of their own, this is for you.

You can never go wrong with a Maggie Carpenter book! They are all just great and this one was no exception! I did have a little trouble getting into this one... Michael and Beth didn’t meet until around 40% on my Kindle and it took me about three days to get that far, but man when they did, it picked up and so did I !!! I finished it in an hour or so! I would be sitting there reading and just smiling about the things they said to each and really feeling like you wanted to be her! It had more spankings after they meet than I thought it would. Even a friend of theirs met a guy and she got spanked. Loved the story, love Maggie Carpenter and it is a 5 star book!

Wow, this book is HOT. I loved the first one, and this one is HOT. There is a lot of sex and spanking, but I love how it all makes sense. All the sex and spankings flow with the story, and the chemistry between Chad and Cassie is dynamite. The other two characters, Marty and Hannah, really come into their own as well. I love Marty, he’s like the big lumbering cowboy that can bear hug like no-one else, and you can really see him. I hope there’s a Rules 3. (Hint, Hint). I’m thinking there might be the way this one ended. Great read. Truly great read.write a continuing story. A very happy read. Loved every page.

This book was everything I was hoping for. To have a cowboy be human was such a refreshing change, and it only enhanced his sexiness. Self-doubt plagues us all, and these bigger than life heroes are always perfect, never have worries or concerns about themselves. That’s all well and good, and I enjoy their heroic personalities just as much as anyone, but to have a guy be so incredibly real - it was great. He’s still strong, and steamy, and delivers spankings without hesitation, but he is plagued by his past. It’s not that the woman saves him, though she kind of does, is that enough time has gone by that he is finally over the crap that happened to him. It’s a great book, really great. Left me smiling and sighing.

She catches the readers’ attention and keeps the suspense up. Terrific scenes that make you really think that you are there as a spectator or maybe you can imagine yourself in the female’s role.

This book made it clear to me why I like Maggie Carpenter novels so much. They’re not just spanking books, or D/s books. They’re novels with interesting, likable characters and really great plots and sub-plots, and all the steamy fun stuff is incorporated and it all makes sense. The spanking and BDSM scenes are not just added in for the sake of them, which is important to me. I enjoy that stuff (a lot!), but if there isn’t a good story for them to rest in then the book just won’t fly with me. So happy to see this sequel available so soon after the first British Billionaire Bachelor. Couldn’t put it down! Read it in two sittings!

Ms. Carpenter puts a great deal of plot and character around her D/s sex, and that stuff is solid, but I need to be honest and say that that’s not why I’m reading a book by Maggie Carpenter. I’m reading a book by Maggie Carpenter because she writes the transition from sweet romance to D/s better than almost anyone else I know. She doesn’t disappoint here: Belle (sweet submissive) and her sister Lucinda (brat) both go on D/s journeys with Simon (cultured billionaire) and Joseph (rough and tumble chauffeur) that provide plenty of hotness — especially (for my own taste) when Simon begins Belle’s training. If you like young women under tables servicing the men they call “Sir,” you’ll love this book.
THE SPANKING PSYCHIATRIST
Perhaps if there were a few psychiatrists who used spanking to deal with feelings of guilt and shame, there would be a lot more adults walking around with healthier outlooks on life. My man uses spanking on me when I need it and I love the release it gives me. (Not to mention the extra bonus of the sexual arousal.)
