Just to scare the shit out of Moe, or maybe it was to try to watch her sleep, hell who knows.

They’d thought that he was still in the hospital the whole time, but he wasn’t.

The break-ins hadn't been drug related at all.

It had been Kane the whole time and I knew this because just like he watched the happy couple and their house, so did I.

Wishing that it was me instead of her.

  And so I saw him.

But I didn’t say anything because I didn’t really care.

But with that to play on, and with all of Drake’s money, I hired two street thugs to get the job done.

  And they’d done just that.

I was planning to tell Kane that I was behind it and share the money with him but he was already so far up Moe’s ass that he couldn’t see a good thing, even though I was standing right in front of his face.

I would’ve loved him so much all he had to do was let me.

  Damn it!

Why wouldn’t anyone let me love them?

And why didn’t anyone want to love me?

  Just love me!

  Love me!

  Love me!

  Love me!

  Not her!

  Love me!

  Love me! Please!

I had to shake my head to stop the voice that lived inside of it from screaming love me, over and over again.

Moet should have just stayed away.

Things were much better without her.

But now with everybody out of the picture, I was rich.

I had two kids that I hadn't had to go through labor and get fat to have, and now all I had to do was find my husband and have the perfect family that I always wanted.

See unlike Moe, I was willing to take what I wanted.

  And I’d done just that.

  I took her love.

  I took her life.

Now I was taking her kids.

And all of her and her husband’s money.

For the first time, I had it all and she had nothing but a cozy little casket and some cheap flowers that I didn’t even think that she deserved.

Everyone started to leave the burial site and I led Krissie and Moet’s son to my car.

I was going to take the apartment that Moe had gotten in Ohio and we all were scheduled to board our flights right after the funeral.

We all were leaving this place behind.

We only had about an hour and a half to get to the airport but that was just enough time.

I had one more thing I had to do.

One more loose end to tie up.

I drove for a while until Moet’s previous little house was in sight, but instead of turning in her old drive way, I turned into the old lady’s driveway across the street.

I grabbed the gun out of my glove compartment and put it under my shirt.

  “I’ll be right back Krissie.”

I got out of the car.

I looked around, but no one was outside so I headed to the door.

I remembered that Moet said that she was always up late night and that she was always looking out the window.

Though the police had questioned her and asked if she had saw anything and she’d said no, I also remembered Moe saying that she had some kind of problem where she forgot things, but eventually she always remembered them.

And I couldn’t risk her remembering that I had been there the night that Moe and Kane were killed.

I knocked on the door and continued to check my surroundings.

She opened the door and I smiled as I placed my hand on the gun under my shirt.

“Hey Mrs. Thomas. Can I come in and talk to you for a minute? I want to ask you a few things about Moet,” I smiled.

She eyed me for a second and as she moved to the side for me to enter her home, I took the gun from underneath my shirt and aimed it towards the back of her head as she closed the door.

I took a deep breath and pulled the trigger.

I guess it’s true what they say:

All is well that ends well.

  At least for me anyway.

  THE END
