"What are you doing out here?"

I smiled back and looked over at Maxwell. He threw his cigarette and folded his arms. He was giving Blake the cold glare. I laughed in my head at the thought of what he said about Blake and the soup.

"Me and Maxwell were just talking."

  "About?"

"Maxwell was telling me about a conference this weekend and he wants me to go with him." It was the only way I could see him again and I was desperate for him. I looked over urging him with my eyes. He understood and a little grin came to his lips.

Blake narrowed his eyes. "Couldn't you speak about it tomorrow?"

Maxwell shrugged and began to rub his thumb over his lips. He was thinking. "Yes, but I only found out tonight. It will be good for Georgina to come with me. She'll learn more about the business and it will be a perfect way to introduce her into scene."

Blake nodded, he held out his hand and I took it. "If needs must." He helped me get up. "Come. Let’s go back to our celebration." He led me back indoors.

"Oh and Miss Dawson," Maxwell yelled after us. I turned round to look at him. He was smiling ear to ear. "Bring something dressy, there will be a formal do." He winked and I started biting my lip.

Another weekend with Maxwell... I couldn't wait.

  CHAPTER 11

  Maxwell

I couldn't take my eyes away from her. Here we were sitting in a meeting and all I could think about was sprawling her over this table. I shifted in my seat to get a better glance of those legs. Every aspect of her was endearing.

I watched how she brushed a strand of hair away from her face and the way her mouth pouted as she concentrated. I was going to spend a whole weekend away with her alone. No Blake, no business, no Oxford. It would be just us.

The excitement began and I coughed to try to relieve my discomfort. She looked over and started biting down on that lip. She must be thinking the same. A little grin appeared on my lips and I slowly undressed her with my eyes.

I looked over at the clock, not long and she would be under my control. Anything was welcomed this weekend. I could do anything I wanted to do. She was mine. "Maxwell," I turned to see my managing director glaring at me. "Did you hear?"

I waved my hand. "Yes. Good, as soon as you know when the publicity will start let me know. Shall we call it a day?" She nodded. Thank fuck for that. "Good, have a nice weekend."

Straight away everyone dashed to the door leaving me and Georgina alone. I loved being the boss.

Georgina got up and picked up all her bits. I followed her lead. "You want to share the lift with me?" She said in a suggestive manner.

"Lead the way" I smiled, leaving me trailing behind. I could study her all day long if she allowed me to. Beautiful long blonde hair, bright blue eyes, rosebud lips and such a hot body. Yes, she ticked all the boxes for me.

She stopped and called the lift. We both stood there not talking. Every now and again our eyes would lock. She would blush and look away. The lift pinged, opened and we stepped inside. Once alone with the doors safely shut I reached out and placed my hand on her perfect arse.

"Mr Thomas, you're breaking the golden rule" she laughed.

I looked down and gave a smug grin. "What are you doing to me, Miss Dawson?"

She grabbed my tie and yanked it down...Our lips were itches apart." Mr Thomas, I think you mean what am I going to do with you?" Her lips met mine and her tongue invaded my mouth.

The lift pinged and we jumped apart just as the doors opened. A few people stepped in. I looked over and blew a little air out of my mouth. She blew a kiss in my direction. I couldn't wait for work to end.

We were sat in the car ready to start our weekend. As soon as that clock hit 5.30pm I grabbed her and dashed for the door. I didn't want to waste one special moment of our weekend together. I had put a lot of thought and planning into this. I wanted this to me the time of our lives. I watched her do the seat belt and sit back.

"You need to wear this" I held a blindfold up.

She raised an eyebrow and took it. She began to study it. "What sort of kinky stuff are you into?"

I laughed. "Always thinking about one thing. Put it on!" I ordered. She did as I asked. "Suits you, now keep it on till I say."

  "Why?"

I leaned towards her and kissed her cheek. "All in good time, Miss Dawson, all in good time." I sat back in my seat and turned the ignition on. The music blared through the car- Damien Dawn 'Your heart.'

"Oh my god, I love this song" Georgina gasped. She held her hand to her chest and began to sing along.

I loved this song too. I was hardly a sentimental man, but after Sunday I had listened to this over a thousand times. The words were so true. "And when you're next to me, you're still light in my reach, But I just long for you, my soul is dark, I cease the night." And hearing Georgina singing them meant even more.

I got the car moving and we were off. I felt content for the first time in years. Here I was taking a beautiful woman away for the weekend. I felt young and carefree. I was hardly young. I had missed out on a lot.

Everything had always been about the business. The only truly happy moment was watching Olivia be born and now she was miles away calling another man Dad. Fucking prick!

Business got in the way of everything. Thank god for this whole weekend, I didn't have to think about it. Georgina was mine for the weekend. We could pretend to be different people. Before I knew it we were at our destination. I cut the engine and Georgina spun round to look at me.

  "Why are we stopping?"

  "We are here" I laughed.

"You said we were leaving Oxford far away. I doubt we are even a mile away from it." She folded her arms and slumped back into the seat.

"Wait and see" I got out, walked round and helped Georgina out. "Wait here!" I ordered. I looked over and the staff were all there waiting. I threw my keys at the youngest. "Bags are in the boot." He caught the keys, nodded and got on with his task.

"What are you doing?" Snapped Georgina, her arms were still folded and she was tapping her foot impatiently. It was an amusing sight. I wonder how long I could make her stand there. I started to laugh, I shouldn't be mean.

"Come" I grabbed her hand and escorted over to the plane. "There's steps be careful." I helped her with the stairs, once inside I removed the blindfold. "Ta-dah."

She looked around the tiny cabin. "Is this yours?" She began to walk around. It was only a little plane, nothing too flashy. It had two sets of seats and two tables. You couldn't travel far as it didn't have a bathroom. I used it mostly for business meetings in Europe and Ireland.

"My companies" I smiled and sat down in one of the seats. Georgina was in awe of it all. I had impressed, not like that was important. She looked like a little child lost in time.” Take a seat."

She sat down next to me. "Where are we going?"

  "Cannes" I raised an eyebrow.

"Cannes" she played with the word. "Wow that is away from Oxford. I've never been to France. It's meant to be beautiful. Why did you choose Cannes?"

"My parents have a holiday home there. I haven't been for a while and they said it was free this weekend." I grabbed hold of her hand. It was good to touch her when ever I wanted to. "I want to make our weekend special." I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. "As for all we know this could be our last."

The smile fell from her face. She looked up her eyes dull. "Please," she sighed. "Can we just have fun and forget about life for a little bit. At this moment in time there is no Blake, no business. Please!" She urged.

Those words were like music to my ears. We were very much a like. I wrapped an arm around her and she fell into my embrace. The air-hostess came on board. I didn't have to remove my arm and that felt good. A whole weekend somewhere no one knew us. We could relax and enjoy one another. This was going to be perfect.

  CHAPTER 12

  Georgina

"Oh my god" I laughed as I ran from room to room. This place was amazing. All marble
floors, white clean walls, Roman style pillars and that was just the living room. I ran into the bedroom, a four poster bed with blue drapes with a fancy on-suite bathroom with all the modern cons and the biggest bath I'd ever seen.

In another room, wow a cinema room. I ran back into the living room. Maxwell was standing smiling at me. Then I noticed the large balcony doors. I opened them and stepped outside. The view was amazing and so was the hot tub.

"That's La Croisette beach" he whispered into my ear. I felt his arms wrap round my waist and he rested his head on my shoulder. It was beautiful, the full moon reflecting on the sea, clear sky and the stars twinkling. I closed my eyes and took in the fresh cool air.

This didn't feel real. I hoped I wasn't dreaming and if I was I never wanted to wake up.

"It's all real, baby" He began to kiss my neck. I stood frozen. Could he read my mind now? Or did he feel the exact same way I did. I hoped he did.

Then a pang of guilt hit me. Blake would be sitting eating dinner alone and here I was in France with my bit on the side.

Maxwell meant more than just a bit on the side. Every time I was next to him my heart would pound and a wave of desire came over me. This man was beautiful, truthful. Successful, sexy, strong and most of all he loved me. I turned to face him, placed my arms around his neck and hugged him tight.

I didn't want to let go. I never wanted to let go. He was perfect. Everything was perfect.

"Come, let's get changed and go out" he grabbed my hand and took me back inside. "Now did you remember to pack that dress?"

"The black one," I raised an eyebrow in a suggestive manner. He cocked his head to the side and gave his special smile.” No, I didn't bring that one. I brought a nice evening one." I walked over to my suitcase. "I'll be a while."

"Take all the time you want . . ." He strolled over to me, placed his fingers under my chin and tilted my head up. "I've waited this long for you... I don't mind waiting a little bit more." With that he kissed me, the most passionate and affectionate kiss I'd ever had in my whole life. The butterflies started fluttering in my stomach. When he pulled away I wasn't sure if I would be able to stand up alone. He and that perfect mouth dazzled me.

We walked hand in hand. People were walking past and not even taking a single bit of notice of us. It was wonderful not to worry about hiding and keeping everything secret. We could be ourselves and feel free to do what ever we pleased.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

“My friend has a bar here. I thought we could go, have a drink and I could introduce you.” He put his arm round my shoulder. "I can finally show you off, let everyone know that I am with the hottest woman in England."

I wanted to be shown off. I wanted to meet his friends. Maybe uncover something real about him. I wondered what he was like when he was younger.

He led me down a little back street. The bar must have been close as I could hear music, people cheering and the smell of cigarettes. I missed that smell.

We stopped at a little door and made our way in. I couldn't see anything it looked really dark. We went down some stairs and all of a sudden it was bright and loud. The bar was crammed with people. Maxwell headed straight for the bar never letting go of my hand. He pushed his way to the front.

"What do you want?" He yelled into my ear.

"Vodka and orange" I yelled back. He smiled and took his attention back to the bar.

A man wearing a tight white t-shirt with black spiky hair came over. "Maxwell" he yelled, he took Maxwell’s free hand and shook it. "What the fuck are you doing here?"

"Just came away for the weekend" He placed his arm round me and pulled me close. "This is Georgina - my girlfriend."

My eyes widen. Well, he couldn't exactly say your the PA he's fucking. To hear him saying my name and girlfriend in the same sentence was breath taking.

"Hey" he smiled. "You can call me Brett. Right, you two must go upstairs to the V.I.P suite. I'm on a break soon. I'll come and join you." He leaned towards me. "I have lots of stories to tell." He winked.

"Anything he says is all lies” With that Maxwell led me upstairs.

We took our seats in the flashy V.I.P area. There were not as many people up here. A woman came over took our drink orders and within seconds she was back. "All on the house" she beamed.

I looked over at Maxwell. "Well, it certainly pays off coming away with you." I took a sip of my drink .his head was resting in his hands and his eyes were blaring at me.

"When you're in that tiny dress it pays off coming away with you."

I looked down at my red boob tube dress. I did look amazing. It hugged all my curves and showed off my best features – my legs. I tilted my head the way he did and tried to copy his special smiles. His eyes widen and we were locked in our own world.

"Oh, Miss Dawson" I shifted in his seat. "I will fuck you right here and now. I don't care whose watching." That was a threat and I had those tingles again. To tell the truth I would jump on his lap and let him take me. "But, I don't want any other man knowing how good it is to see my girl come."

I reached out and grabbed his hand. "Your girl," I blushed. "That has a good ring to it. So, does that make you my man?"

A little grin came to his lips and took a sip of his drink. Did I say the wrong thing?

Was I coming on too strong? No, he had already told me he loved me. I felt the panic rush over me, had I destroyed this weekend already?

He leaned forward, brushing his fingertips along my cheek. "I'm yours" he seductively whispered. "I love you" with that his lips brushed against mine and the biggest smile appeared on my face.

I knew it was wrong. I was engaged, but to have this man gain procession over me was out of this world.

"Um mm" said a voice, I looked up and it was Maxwell's friend who owned the bar. I felt heat in my face and shyly turned away. Maxwell grabbed my hand. "Am I interrupting?"

"No," Maxwell said. "Sit your arse down. I see you brought gifts." Referring to the tray he was holding, there must have been over twenty shot glasses all filled.

"Perks of running the place" he took a seat next to Maxwell. "I thought we could have a party." Another woman joined the table, pretty looking with black hair and dressed in jeans and t-shirt. "This is Libby, my girlfriend."

"Girlfriend," Maxwell looked confused. "What happened to the wife?"

Libby took her place at the table. "The wife is long gone" she spat, her eyes directly hit Maxwell. "You must be the long lost friend Brett has told me about."

"Indeed I am" Maxwell spat back. "This gorgeous young woman is my girlfriend, Georgina Dawson."

  "Please to meet you Georgina."

I gave a half smile. On first impressions I didn't like Libby and I don't think she liked me very much. All in the name of female rivalry. "You too" I lied.

"Yes, it’s all nice. We are all introduced." Brett picked up a glass. "Let's get fucked!!"

"Cheers to that" Maxwell laughed, grabbing a glass and downing the shot. This was a whole new side to him. He actually had friends and he could socialize. I liked this Maxwell. I took a shot and followed his lead. Libby just looked at us as if she was too good to join in.

The night was turning into a blast. Maxwell was really enjoying himself. Libby had left apparently we were all too childish for her. Maxwell had gone to the bathroom and left me alone with Brett.

"So, how did you meet Maxwell?" Brett asked. I laughed the shots had affected me. "Really .... That's bad!"

"No," I smiled, thinking of a right way to answer his question. "It's just not something I want to go into. It's complicated." I gave a sigh, I wish it wasn't complicated. I wish it could be straight forward. Why was everything such a challenge lately?

"Well," Brett began. "I haven't seen Maxwell like this in years." He caught my attention. "You know about Debbie?" I nodded. "That really messed him up. When she walked away with Olivia it crushed him".

I felt a pang of despair for him. I remembered when he told me about Ol
ivia. The agony he must have gone through. My poor Mr Golden rule.

"But you," he opened his arms and shrugged. "What have you done to him?"

"What do you mean?" I hesitated.

"He's happy, Georgina. He's socializing. Do you know many times I've had to beg him to come out?" He let out a little air from his mouth. "That man would rather stay hidden away working. No, you're good for him. Never leave him, he needs you."

Brett’s words hit me hard. Never leave him? Oh, if only Brett knew the full story he would say the exact opposite. I felt distraught. I was going to hurt Maxwell. I was engaged and Maxwell was introducing me as his girlfriend. That wasn't right. I couldn't be both. I couldn't live two lives.

I grabbed my bag. "I have to go," Brett looked surprised. "Can you tell Maxwell I'm going back to the apartment?" He nodded and I left.

I ran all the way back to the apartment. I didn't stop until I burst through the front door. I closed the door behind me and fell to my knees. What was I doing?

The tears came fast and my stomach twisted in sickness. Everything Brett had just said to me was a lie. A lie I had made him believe. I wasn't good for Maxwell. In a month or so I was probably going to get married and destroy Maxwell's world.

He needed more than me. He needed a loyal girlfriend. Not some stupid wanton woman like myself. I felt disgusting in more ways than one. What was I doing to Blake? And I was stringing Maxwell along.

Two wonderful men who could have anything or anyone they wanted and they wanted me. I was greedy and selfish. Everything like my mother was. The thought made me feel even sicker. This wasn't me. I didn't go round hurting people. I had always been a good girl. When had I turned into this?

I heard the door close behind me. "Georgina," Maxwell asked concerned. He knelt down next to me and ran a hand through my hair. "Why did you run here?"

I looked up and wiped some tears away. "I'm sorry" I wept. "I'm really sorry." Maxwell cupped my face with both hands and looked lovingly into my eyes. That's when I saw it. This man was completely besotted with me. It made me feel worse because deep down I knew I was completely besotted with him too.
