Scully: “Agent Mulder, I’m Dana Scully. I’ve been assigned

to work with you.”
Mulder: “Oh, really… I was under the impression you were
sent to spy on me.”
With these fateful words, one of the most iconic partnerships in genre TV met for the first time. Two Agents, dedicated to the pursuit of the truth, but from different perspectives: Mulder, the ultimate optimist
– always wanting to believe in the supernatural and extraterrestrial, and Scully, the ultimate skeptic (at least to begin) – convinced that everything could be explained by science. Put the two together and the result was a dynamic, entertaining partnership – whose epic quest for the truth kept viewers enthralled for nine years.
Now, in this first special collection celebrating one of the most influential shows of the nineties, the best features, interviews
and profiles from the official X-Files Magazine shine a flashlight into the darkest corners of the FBI once again. Revisit the plethora of agents who have helped (and hindered) Mulder and Scully over the years; walk the corridors of power to witness the inner workings of the FBI; and meet the shadowy Syndicate, intent on concealing the truth of their global conspiracy at all costs.

Gillian Anderson
It’s all just starting to dawn on
Gillian Anderson. The X-Files
television series is over. She
spent nearly one-third of her life
portraying F.B.I. Special Agent
Dana Scully on the show, first opposite
David Duchovny as Fox Mulder and,
later, opposite Robert Patrick and
Annabeth Gish as John Doggett and
Monica Reyes.
Along the way, Anderson made time
for a wide range of other experiences,
both personal and professional. She
married, divorced and became a
mother during the show’s run, and
helped raise nearly half a million dollars
for Neurofibromatosis, Inc., a charity
dedicated to those, like Anderson’s
brother, who suffer from this genetic
disorder that causes tumors to form
on a person’s nerves. The actress also
managed to squeeze in performances in
such films as Chicago Cab, The Mighty,
Playing By Heart and The House of Mirth,
and lent her voice to the likes of the
animated feature film Princess Mononoke
and TV shows such as Fraiser, Harsh
Realm and The Simpsons. Closer to home,
Anderson wrote and directed the “all
things” episode of The X-Files.
