Trixing Your Mate
Page 12
“Mate.” She cleared her throat a little. “Mate. What exactly does that mean?”
“Just that you are the one for us.” Keo shrugged.
“For both of you?”
They nodded while watching her.
“Meaning right now you are not attracted to anyone else?”
“Meaning we will only be attracted to you. Ever,” Keo replied.
Trixie frowned.
“Imagine this, Trixie.” Hudson explained. “Imagine that the world went to hell tomorrow, and all the men on the planet died. There was just me, Keo, you and a planet full of females.” Hudson paused and looked into her eyes as he gently picked up her hand. “We would still only want you. Only you, Trixie.”
“What about me? I’m human. I’m not a Chimera. How does this work for me?”
“Mates are special. Human or not. Mates can form bonds with Chimera. Soul bonds.”
Trixie’s head went back as she absorbed that. So, that connection that she had felt deep inside when they had made love, that connection was real? That was a thing?
“Yes, it’s real.” She realized that she must have spoken her thoughts out loud, and Keo had answered them. “You cannot force a soul bond. Ultimately, each side has to want it. And you can only make a soul bond with a soul mate. You and Hudson are my mates.”
Trixie looked down as she focused inward, tunneling down, down, deep inside herself. And there at the heart of her, she felt them. Strong, rope-like bonds. When she looked closer with her mind’s eye, she could tell that there were thousands of them, millions of them, all vibrating with their essence: Keo’s, Hudson’s and hers. Connected, intertwined, entangled together. She reached out and mentally touched some of them. They vibrated with energy and life. She felt Hudson vibrating through her, but also a trace of Keo, too. She touched some of the cords that were Keo’s and felt Keo move through her, some of Hudson present, as well.
“Damn, that feels good,” Hudson murmured.
Her eyes snapped open. “You can feel that?”
They both nodded.
“Who am I touching now?”
“Me.” Keo’s voice was hoarse.
“I feel it a little, too,” said Hudson quietly.
She narrowed her eyes at them, unsure if she believed them.
Keo arched a brow at her. She felt something deep inside her. Something distinctly masculine wrap itself around her very soul and stroke her. A hard breath escaped her.
“¡Ayyyy!” Her eyes closed as she felt the intimate joining. Her nipples peaked and pressed against Keo’s shirt that she was wearing. She felt the contrast of masculine versus feminine. Her pussy started getting moist. She could identify the touch now. Keo.
“Do you feel that, stubborn minx?”
Her eyes popped open. Keo’s stunning eyes captured hers. She felt him deliberately strum across their bond. She groaned at the pleasure expanding from the core of her to warm her entire body.
But she hadn’t been the only one who groaned. Both Keo and Hudson had groaned, too. So they were not unaffected by the touch at least.
Eyes glancing down, she saw Keo gripping his cock, pinching just under the mushroomed head as if to stop himself exploding. And Hudson was stroking his cock through his jeans, but as she watched one of his hands went to undo the button on his jeans to ease the pressure.
That movement galvanized her. If Hudson pulled his cock out, too, she was done for! They would end up having sex. She knew that she had no resistance when it came to these two. “Button that right back up, chico. We are not having sex!” She bounced upright onto her feet. Backing slowly away from them.
A disappointed sigh came from one of them. Hudson blanched.
“For how long, mate?” Keo looked like he was in shock. Keo gave a slow stroke to his cock and Trixie looked down watching his hand move again with a long stroke.
“No,” Trixie shook her head back and forth, tearing her gaze away from Keo. “No, you are not seducing me with those hard cocks and hot stares. You are staying out here. I am going in there. We will pick up this discussion tomorrow. And no, you are not invited into the bedroom. If you enter in there, be prepared to have one of your balls crushed.”
Both males’ eyebrows shot skyward at that and she stomped out of the room.

The next morning she woke early. Truth be told she hadn’t slept well without them. How had they become such a necessary vital part of her life in such a short time?
All three of them were naturally early risers. With Hudson running a nursery and Keo running the stables, both of their jobs entailed early hours. Trixie had always been an early riser, herself, maybe not quite as early as Keo and Hudson got up sometimes, but still early. Thus, Trixie was not surprised to walk into the kitchen early the next morning and see them both up. Hudson was flipping pancakes. Keo was drinking his coffee or as Trixie put it his “happy juice.” She and Hudson had learned early on do not talk to Keo in the mornings until he had had his coffee.
And for Glory’s sake do not run out of coffee! Trixie thought of the Wednesday morning when she had run out of coffee in her apartment. She had felt as if they had been on the brink of anarchy and Armageddon all rolled into one. Hudson had quickly ushered them out to a ‘Keo-approved’ coffee shop and bought Keo two extra-large coffees to tame the beast that had taken over Keo’s body.
Trixie sniffed appreciatively at the smell of bacon in the air.
“I am making blueberry, your favorite, mate,” Hudson called out.
“Don’t call me that.” She flounced into a seat as Keo’s eyes narrowed on her.
“But you are our mate.”
“No one discussed this with me!”
Hudson growled as he set a stack of blueberry pancakes down on the table next to the bacon.
“You are our mate,” Keo insisted.
“I have not agreed to that.”
Keo set his mug down with a snap. “You agreed to it when you took our cocks deep into that luscious body of yours. You agreed to it when you soaked up every drop of our cum and demanded more.” Trixie gasped in outrage. “You agreed to it when your magnificent soul wove and threaded its way through our own and created this bond.”
Deliberately, she felt Keo wrap mental hands around the bonds between all three of them. She held her breath as she felt her body heating up. Her pussy started getting wet and she felt the unique imprint of each man’s pure soul melded to her own.
Both males took a deep breath. Keo’s nostrils flared.
“You smell so hot, Trixie,” Hudson said huskily.
Trixie shifted in her chair, trying to put a little pressure on her needy pussy. They had turned her into a sex addict!
“You know,” Keo stroked across their soul connections. “I could probably make you come just like this. I can feel your arousal climbing through the roof, little minx.”
Trixie felt Keo slowly push his essence into one of their bonds and gently start parting it. Trixie held her breath. She had never felt anything as intimate as this in her life. Her hands clenched the arms of her chair as her breasts heaved up and down with her excitement.
“That’s it, little minx, spread open for us,” Keo murmured. Searching and maneuvering through the bonds, Keo seemed to find one he liked and tugged it over to the opening that he had made. Slowly, relentlessly he pushed it into the opening. It was a bond of equal amounts of Hudson and Keo. She felt them both in the depths of her soul and the depths of her body.
Deep groans were dragged out of Hudson and Trixie.
Keo’s voice got hoarser. “Yes, that’s it. Do you feel that, Trixie?”
She gave a little cry as Keo pulled back, and then powered it back into the opening. Her entire body shuddered as he pushed the bond in again. She felt penetrated by them, both of them pushing into her soul at the same time was the most erotic thing that she had ever felt in her life. Also, the most unnerving.
“Oh, yeah. That’s our soul bond. Deep, intrinsic
, undeniable.” Keo thrust again and Trixie panted in her excitement. Hudson was groaning.
“Try to deny it, mate! Try to deny that you are our mate, again!” Keo snarled at her.
Keo was standing across from her, his hands gripping the back of a chair tightly. The sound of the chair cracking into pieces froze everyone into place.
“Keo.” Hudson said softly.
“Fuck!” Keo put his head down, arms braced against the table.
Everything dissipated and they were gone from inside her. She could no longer feel their intimate touch on the soul plane. A small sound of disappointment escaped her throat as she tried to slow down her breathing. Her entire body was shuddering with excitement.
“Fuck!” Keo lifted his head, little spots of red tinging his cheeks. “I owe you both an apology.” Keo took a deep breath. “I am sorry, Trixie. I am sorry, Hudson. I shouldn’t have done that. Fuck!” And with that he stomped out the door, slamming it behind him.
Hudson and she sat there in silence for a few moments. Until Hudson broke the silence. “Maybe you should go visit Rimie.”
Trixie looked at Hudson. She didn’t know which way to turn emotionally. Thankful that Keo had stopped, or pissed off that he hadn’t at least finished her?
She didn’t move.
“Trixie,” Hudson continued gently, “you need to go.”
“Why?” she croaked. Not entirely certain that her legs would carry her.
“Because either my bear is going to come out or I’m going to lay you across this table and fuck the daylights out of you. And right now, I don’t think either option is a good idea.”
Chapter 10
Trixie had spent the rest of the morning and most of the afternoon, avoiding her men.
Tracking down her BFF had helped fill her in on a lot of things. After confirming everything about Chimera that she had been told, Rimie had spent a lot of time explaining about what a ‘clan’ was. Chimera grouped together not by animal type, but by loyalty to a particular Alpha.
“So Magnus is their Alpha?”
“Magnus is Keo’s Alpha.”
“Then who’s Hudson’s Alpha?”
“He doesn’t have one.”
“Huh.”
“Trac says that is highly unusual for Chimera. He told me that Chimera feel a strong need to be around other Chimera. It is a big deal to be clan-less.”
“Hudson doesn’t have a clan?”
“He had one growing up. Near Alaska, I think. Something happened though. Magnus doesn’t know the details, but Hudson was kicked out. Which for Chimera is like walking around with a Scarlet Letter on your chest.”
“Poor Hudson.” Trixie froze on the pathway they were walking on that encircled the main ranch house.
“Magnus and the other Alphas around here have gotten to know Hudson over the past couple of years, but Hudson tends to not hang around other Chimera.” Rimie shrugged. “I was wondering why Keo hadn’t found Hudson as soon as Hudson came to town.”
“So they only just figured out they were part of a mating group?”
“Yep, the same night they met you!” Rimie winked at her. “Lucky night for them! Anyways, the Alphas say Hudson is an honorable Chimera. All the Alphas nearby, at one point or another, have invited Hudson to be part of their clan.”
Trixie looked at Rimie. How come she didn’t know any of this? She had been the one sleeping with him for the past few weeks. She was supposed to be his soul mate!
“And what did Hudson say?”
“He refused each time.”
“Why?? If it’s so important to Chimera, why wouldn’t he join a clan?” She frowned in puzzlement.
Rimie took her arm as they started walking again, and it was weird cause in some lights it almost looked like the tattoo on Rimie’s hand glowed. And amazingly, when Rimie patted her arm as they walked, Trixie did feel better. Maybe the situation wasn’t hopeless?
Rimie continued, “Magnus thinks it’s pride. Hudson doesn’t want to be pitied, nor be asked into a clan out of pity.”
Trixie digested that as they moved towards the ranch house. She could see several people—well, really Chimera—who were waiting to talk to Rimie. Rimie was mated to the Alpha of the clan, and apparently had earned an important title of ‘Prima’ on her own. For Chimera, Rimie was like royalty, and consequently, there was a long list of decisions to be made by the Prima of the clan. Trixie sighed as she realized that friend-time was over.
“Don’t worry, Trix. It will all work out.” Stopping in the pathway before they made it to the group, Rimie tugged Trixie to face her. “Now, I don’t want you to fret over the claiming ceremony. I will make sure that we schedule it so that you have plenty of time to get prepared. There are several brands that I can personally recommend, but I am sure Keo and Hudson will make sure that you have everything you need. Chimera are very protective of their mates. They will ensure that you feel only pleasure.” Rimie gave her a quick hug then strode up toward the house calling out, “Who’s first?”
After that confusing and vague ending with Rimie, Trixie had ambled around until she found the dining hall. When a grizzled old cook had barked at her from the kitchen, she had busted out her ‘yes, sir’s and ‘no, sir’s in a hurry. Unfortunately, she had also made the mistake of confirming that she didn’t have anything to do.
After being fed a delicious but quick meal of street tacos, cause ‘no one goes hungry in my kitchen’, Jasper the old, scary cook had put her to work. And work she had done. For hours. They had just handled the first wave of diners and were working on the second wave (how many biscuits could Chimera actually eat?) when Keo appeared taking her away despite Jasper’s protests.
Luckily, Keo grabbed dinner to go so that when they got back to Keo’s cabin the smell of homemade fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and fresh biscuits had brought Hudson quickly to the table. They ate in silence, but unlike the night before, the silence wasn’t comfortable.
Keo finally broke the silence after dinner. “What are you thinking, ma—“ He cleared his throat. “Trixie, what are you thinking about?”
Trixie raised her eyes to Keo. “Hudson.”
Hudson looked taken aback. “Me?”
Trixie had deliberately sat in the armchair so that she wouldn’t accidentally touch them. Or get surrounded by them on the couch. Or get drenched by their delicious male scents. Or touched by their hard muscles. Earth to Trixie! In the middle of talking here!
She told them what Rimie had told her.
“Is that true, Hudson?”
He scratched his chin, shifting uncomfortably. “Yeah, for the most part.”
“And how come you didn’t tell me?”
“Ah, hell, Trixie that time is long gone. To be honest, mate, I haven’t even thought of it. All I’ve been focused on is you.”
“What happened? Why were you kicked out?”
Keo had pivoted on the couch to face Hudson as well.
“I was kicked out a long time ago.”
Keo and Trixie just looked at him.
“Up in Northern Canada, I was the son of an Alpha. My father died when I was 7 yrs old. The new Alpha didn’t like me around cause I was a reminder of what our clan used to be like when it had been a nice place to live. A fair and happy place to raise a Chimeric family.” Hudson rubbed his hands across his face.
“Anyways, when I turned 12 yrs old, I got my growth spurt and I ended up bigger than the new Alpha, Alpha Paul. This clan was mostly bears, a few other animals, some snow fox, bison, etc. But you get the idea, as bears we are top of the pecking order and here was a 12 yr old bigger than the Alpha. That’s when my life became hell. Before I had just been ignored, I didn’t realize that those were the best days.”
Hudson continued grimly, “But I had their attention now. Didn’t matter that I was only a 12 yr old, that I barely knew how to shift and had no clue how to fight. Alpha Paul, his brothers, and his cousins would randomly jump me and beat me. They would make up reasons to d
iscipline me. Someone’s car was missing. Something had been stolen at the grocery store. Whatever worked at the moment.”
Trixie was holding her breath in agony as Hudson told his tale so matter-of-factly. Hudson had his head down gazing at his hands as if they had the answers. Out of the corner of her eyes, Trixie could see talons flashing in and out of Keo’s fingertips. He was just as upset about the story as she was.
“That’s when you left?” She softly prompted Hudson, when his voice died out.
“I left when they killed Daniela.”
“They killed a girl?” Keo asked his voice growling.
“I can’t prove they did it, but, yes, I think they killed her. It took me a while to put the pieces together after I left since it all happened so fast at the time.” Hudson rubbed his thumb against his palm. “Daniela was my age. She was a pretty little thing, lotsa brown hair and big blue eyes. She was like second cousin or something to Alpha Paul. Not that we had much contact since I was the clan Pariah. Well, she disappeared one day when I was 12.”
Trixie put her hand over her mouth. She could feel something coming, something horrible. Actually, she was probably picking these feelings up from Hudson through their bond, now that she thought about it.
Hudson continued, his voice low, “They found her a day later. Raped and beaten to death out in the woods. Alpha Paul claimed I musta done it since I was the ‘troubled youth’ in the town. I naively thought that my innocence would protect me. But a friend of my father’s convinced me to leave when I felt a lot of the clan turning ugly. He helped me get out of town. We staged a ‘robbery’ at his store for supplies. I then crossed overland to Lake Superior.”
“Where did you start?” Keo asked quietly.
Hudson tilted his head considering. “We were about 80km north of Great Bear Lake.”
Keo’s eyes bugged. “You went from Great Bear Lake to Lake Superior, all the way across Canada as a 12yr old?”
“Yeah, that’s when I found out how bad muskrats taste.” He gave them a little smile. “I got pretty hungry at times.”
Trixie reached out to hold his hand. “Hudson, I am so sorry.”
