  Saving Greyson

Melanie "Mellie" Laurie tries to be patient with Greyson O'Neil during his recovery, but it's no easy task. When he opens up to her and shares personal information with her, she seizes the chance and offers her submission to him.

Greyson agrees to train her in submission, but he hardens himself at first, convinced it's pity she feels rather than love for him. The pair slowly come to understand each other and bond, but Greyson still struggles with his desire to submit to Diego Sanchez.

When the men reveal the secret of McKenna Downs, Mellie panics, torn between her feelings for them and fleeing from the town rules. The past comes back to haunt Greyson when the stalker kidnaps Mellie and Greyson must face his fears and admit who he really is and has been all along.

  Prologue

Eleven years ago – Los Angeles, California

Greyson O’Neil couldn’t take his eyes off her. The waitress was a treat for the senses and absolutely stunning. Her light doe eyes were a breathtaking baby blue tinted with gray. Her lush, curvaceous body filled out those black slacks and white blouse beautifully. If he had to guess what size jeans she wore, he’d have gone with ten. However with her height, which looked about five foot eight, she could pass for an eight even if she wore a ten.

He wasn’t one to leer at nice-looking women like some sex-deprived pervert, but this woman was gorgeous even if he did have access to a bounty of willing females. There was something different, surreal almost, when he clapped eyes on this one. Her smile lighted up the entire restaurant when she spoke with customers and waited on the different tables in her section.

Too bad he and his best friend Diego Sanchez weren’t seated in her section. He wanted to run his fingers through her glossy brown hair that fell softly around her shoulders and looked like something out of a shampoo commercial with caramel strands streaked through it and the ends curled.

“When you return to earth, you should consider talking to her,” Diego told him.

  “Who?”

“That fetching waitress you keep ogling.”

  “I’m just looking.”

“I did promise you a threesome for your thirtieth birthday. She’s perfect for us. Ask her for drinks.”

Greyson felt an electric jolt sizzle through his balls. “She looks sweet, innocent.”

Diego took a drink from his glass. “That’s part of her charm.”

“I could ask her and then we’ll find someone for you tonight.”

He shook his head and set his glass down. “No, Greyson. I told you the three-way is one of my birthday presents to you. I couldn’t let you deprive yourself like that.”

Greyson glanced down at his plate. “Are you sure that’s a good idea?”

Diego ate his vegetables with a nonchalance Greyson didn’t feel. “We’ve shared women before.”

“I know. It always stirs up problems when we do.”

  “You mean feelings?”

“No feelings,” Greyson said in a low warning tone as he met the man’s sultry gaze. “You just get carried away sometimes.”

Diego leaned back in the booth facing Greyson with an accusing arch of his brow. “I get carried away? You’ve always responded to me in spite of your confusion about who you really are.”

“I know who I am. Let’s talk about something else. I’m your boss, not your bitch.”

“Fine. Eat your peas first before your breadstick.”

“Don’t tell me what to do, asshole.” Greyson spooned some peas into his mouth.

  “Bec
ause you obeyed me I will overlook your disrespectful outburst. I played Russian roulette with you and you agreed to submit to me for the day.” Diego smiled like a devil. “The shirt and jeans I chose for you to wear look good on you.”

“Keep your voice down, and don’t call it submitting. It’s a compromise between friends.” Greyson bristled and then grew warm for a different reason over the sexy Latino’s smirk.

“The name of the waitress you had your eye on is Melanie, by the way. I asked someone while you were in the restroom.”

His body temperature heated and he gave his friend a grateful smile. “Thanks. I appreciate it.”

Diego nodded once. “After you are finished eating, you will ask her to go have drinks with us when she gets off work. We will have pleasant conversation with her and share a few drinks. Then if she agrees to it, we will take her to our hotel room and pin her body between us while we fuck her.”

Greyson’s loins felt like they were on fire. When he thought of seeing Melanie without any clothes on the tingling sensation worsened. His body started to ache when he made eye contact with Diego again.

“I will not touch you this time.” Diego’s smooth Spanish accent swam all over Greyson’s skin like a searing bath. “The only contact we have with one another tonight will be the inevitable feel of our cocks rubbing while you fill her wet, juicy cunt and I take her tight, hot ass, or the other way around if you prefer.” He raised his glass while speaking, pitch lowering to a riveting hush. “Our balls will touch and grind against each other while we fuck her, but that can’t be helped. It doesn’t mean anything.”

Greyson was torn between holding eye contact with his friend and stealing glances at Melanie again. Every move she made, every seductive word Diego uttered, and the tempting way he looked at him had Greyson hot and bothered more than he could stand.

“Unless it means something to you.” Diego gave him a long, torrid stare that darkened with challenge. He wasn’t asking. He was accusing.

Greyson cleared his throat and shifted in his seat. His real motive was to adjust his jeans so his rigid, pesky dick didn’t bust a rip in his fly. “No. Why would it?”

Diego wore an evil smile that hinted at smugness. “Then we don’t have a problem.”

Greyson shook his head and planted his focus on his plate. God, that forbidden stare made him hard—too hard and disturbingly hot.

“Hey.” Diego’s steamy whisper and light touch on his hand sent shivers of enjoyment through him. The man murmured to him when Greyson looked up from his plate at him. “Happy birthday.”

  “Thanks.”

He had to look away. Looking at dishy-as-hell Melanie didn’t stop the awareness pulsing through his heated body. Something about watching her felt almost spiritual like they were connected in some deeper way when she looked over at him and smiled. For a split second he wondered if the feeling had any merit, if she was meant to be more than just a one-night stand or an empty fling.

  * * * *

Melanie Laurie tried to be discreet about sneaking peeks at the two cowboy hotties in her coworker’s section. Dang, she wished their table was in the area she was supposed to wait on tonight. Both men wore jeans and cowboy boots. The dark-haired Latino wore a black T-shirt, and the man with sandy hair wore a dark blue shirt. They were so easy on the eyes it wasn’t funny. She felt bad for noticing them, but who the hell wouldn’t?

She walked outside for her break and then leaned up against the side of the building. A faint fluttering in her womb told her the little one was kicking. The fetus was still too small for the tiny kicks to be felt strongly. Sometimes the taps were so faint inside her body it felt like tiny baby fingers gently poking.

Melanie tried not to dwell on how connected she felt to the baby growing inside her. She was having this squiggly little bundle for a barren couple. Getting too attached would only break her heart.

She heard the subdued clop of boots making contact with pavement. The noise was deeper and too subtle to be made by stilettos. Her heart stuttered in an excited frenzy when she saw one of the hot men from the table—the one with sandy-blond hair—walking swiftly toward her. His gait spoke of power, strength, and confidence. It rattled her composure, particularly because he looked right at her.

  “Melanie?”

The air drained from her lungs. He knew her name. This handsome man had singled her out and he knew her name. Then again, he could just want to ask her a question or complain.

  “Yes?”

“Don’t look so alarmed. One of your coworkers mentioned your name. I’m Greyson.”

The man stood several inches taller than her, probably around six feet, two inches. It was a toss-up which was more distracting—his strong, defined arms or the sex appeal that oozed from the harsh rasp of his graveled voice.

“Did I do something wrong?” she asked.

“No. You didn’t. I just wanted to see if you want to have a drink with me and my friend after you get off work.”

Happy butterflies followed the flip-flop in her stomach. “Y–you want to go out with me?”

“I want to buy you a drink and if we hit it off like I think we will, we’ll go from there.” He placed his hand against the wall and leaned into it, standing deliciously close to her.

  “That would be nice, but…”

She knew she needed to tell him, but her tongue got tied just looking at the rugged cowboy who apparently wanted her. The intoxicating musk of his cologne smelled masculine and exotic. He had a clean, freshly showered scent as well mingled with the irresistible essence of good leather.

A tattoo peeked out of his sleeve from his left arm that leaned against the side of the building. God, he was probably a badass and a real cowboy. Her pussy flooded with volcanic heat.

He stood close enough for her to ascertain that his eyes were two different colors. She’d never seen that on a human before. One was blue and the other was green, but they were close enough in shade that it was probably difficult to detect at a distance.

Greyson’s lusty smile made her pulse rush. “Don’t worry about choosing between us. We both want you.”

She blinked at him with her mouth open. “W–what do you mean? Are you going to flip a coin for me or take turns?”

He grinned and that toothy, white smile nearly drove her to her knees, either in awe or submission. She couldn’t tell which.

“Taking turns is nice.” He stepped closer, pinning her up against the wall with his hand braced just slightly above and diagonal from her head like he was moving in for the kill. “But sharing you at the same time would be better.”

  “God,” she breathed.

  Say something else, Melanie.

Well good lord, this jaunty, smoking man was asking her to have a three-way with him and his equally attractive friend. Men had hit on her before, but nobody had ever asked her if she wanted to be turned into a sandwich.

“It’s my birthday. You can’t say no.” Greyson gave her a charming grin that made her sex pulse and her nipples tingle.

She gave him a shy smile. “Nice try with the birthday line.”

His expression sang of mock offense, but that moral-corrupting grin never left. “What? You don’t believe it’s my birthday?”

  “Sounds like a line.”

“Here. I’ll show you.” He reached into his back pocket and whipped out his wallet, skimming through the compartments until he found what he was looking for and pulled out his driver’s license. “See that? I’m thirty today.”

The electric waves firing into her stomach felt like she had a cattle prod touching her. His proposition was pure fantasy and while it surprised her how badly she wanted it and both him and his friend, reality came hurtling in like an artillery and blew a hole in her if-only mentality.

  “I’m pregnant.”

He blinked in shock and the disappointment that crossed his face sank into her as well. “Sorry. I didn’t see a ring.”

  “I’m not married. I have a boyfrie
nd. Well, kind of. It’s—”

“Complicated,” he finished for her and stuck the license back into his wallet, this time in a rear compartment once he removed the piece of paper that had been in there. He stuffed the note on top of his license, shaking his head as if in annoyance that it had been in the wrong place. “Good. That means it won’t last.”

His bluntness left her speechless, but his self-assured confidence was a turn-on.

He held the wallet in his right hand and cupped his left hand, moving his fingers together in a come-hither motion. “Let me see your phone.”

It surprised her when she gave it to him despite the fact that he’d demanded it and hadn’t asked.

“Good girl. Nice and obedient. I like that.”

Her cunt spasmed and her belly clenched. She felt a bit like a lamb lying maimed in front of a wolf. She couldn’t believe how sad it made her that she couldn’t be the lamb chop to satisfy the appetite of this alpha male.

Greyson punched the keys and focused on what he was doing while he spoke to her. “When your unsatisfying relationship goes to shit, call me. I put it under there as ménage so you’d remember.”

She blushed hard and took her cell phone back when he handed it to her. The number looked long distance and she wondered where he was from. After sticking her phone back in her pocket, she finally found the words she’d been searching for. “Do you…do this often?”

“Ménage or hitting on gorgeous women I hardly know?”

She fought to keep from beaming. “Gorgeous? Now I know you’re lying.”

“Melanie.” He cradled her chin gently and tilted her head up, enforcing eye contact between them. “You’re a beautiful woman. Your sort-of-boyfriend is a lucky man, but not for long, because eventually you’re gonna leave him. You’ll remember me and you’ll call me like a good girl.”
