Saving Greyson [Men of McKenna Downs 5] (Siren Publishing LoveXtreme Forever)

Her panties were soaked. It was uncomfortable feeling them stick to her slick folds. Even so, she savored her telling dampness.

  “What if I don’t?”

“Then I’ll fly back out here someday to see if you’re free. If I find out you are and you didn’t call me…” He gave her a demon smile that conveyed a thousand different sins at once, each of them equally tempting. “I’ll have to punish you in some way.”

Her eyes widened. Oh god, not another sadist. “P–punish me?”

The hypnotizing lust evaporated from his face and was replaced with confusion and mild concern. “Relax. I didn’t mean that in a bad way.”

She felt torn and vulnerable when he let go of her. Maybe he meant spanking. He didn’t strike her as the abusive or psychotic type. She heard someone coming toward them, but Greyson’s height and brawny body kept her from seeing who it was.

“I’m sorry.” He shook his head. “I’m not normally like this. I’ve overstepped my bounds.”

Someone snatched the wallet out of Greyson’s hand when he went to stuff it into his back pants pocket again. Melanie’s heart short-circuited and her breathing suspended when she saw the man standing near Greyson.

  God, no.

Saul Finch studied the driver’s license displayed through the plastic veneer on the back of Greyson’s wallet. “Greyson, huh?”

Greyson grabbed the wallet from him and gave him a deadly look that chilled her. “Who the fuck do you think you are?”

Saul shot him a lethal glare that made her stomach churn. “I’m her boyfriend. You got a problem with that?”

The Latino she’d seen with Greyson walked over to them and touched Greyson’s arm. “Easy, amigo. We didn’t know she was taken.”

Saul glared at them. “I don’t like people making eyes at my woman. It hurts me. You’re not trying to hurt me, are you, Mel?”

Her blood ran cold and her scalp prickled. God, he called her Mel. He only called her that when he went to his dark place and dragged her there with him.

“No. I don’t want to hurt you.” Melanie stepped forward. “Please, Saul. I was on break and we talked for a second.”

“Your break was over a minute ago,” Saul told her. “Get back to work. We’ll discuss this tonight.”

She swallowed and began to tremble as she headed back inside. “I’m sorry.”

Her eyes blurred as she got back to work. Saul was mad and that was never a good thing. Maybe she could pick up an extra shift and close the restaurant tonight. That way he would be asleep when she got home. Maybe after sleeping on it, she could explain things to him in the morning and he’d understand. He would be the sweet man she knew he was capable of being, not the threatening blackness she’d seen brewing in his eyes a moment ago.

It surprised her when she looked up to see Greyson’s dark-haired friend standing there. “I’m sorry about out there.”

He shook his head. “Don’t mention it. Your boyfriend has a temper.”

She tried to be discreet about averting her eyes and putting on a weak smile. “He just feels things more than most people. He’s good to me. I try to be good to him, too. He’s been through a lot.”

The tall, sexy stranger lowered his voice. “Does he ever hurt you?”

Her heart skipped a beat and she grappled for the only defense mechanism she could think of. “What are you implying, sir?”

“Diego, and I’m implying that he’s abusive.”

To call Saul’s catharsis abuse would be unfeeling and leave him open to state intervention. Locking him away for being the tormented creature he was would feel like betrayal. He needed healing, not to be caged like an animal. He had sympathetic reasons for his frightening needs. She wouldn’t hurt him.

“That’s quite an accusation when you don’t even know him.”

“You look like you’re on the verge of tears.”

His comment almost drew them from her, but she refrained from shedding any. “I just feel bad.”

“For having a conversation with another man?”

She threw a glance at the clock without the time even sinking in. “I really have to get back to work.”

“Wait.” Diego’s touch sent warm rivulets of energy up her arm when he put his hand on her there. “If he ever puts his hands on you to hurt you, I want you to call the police and me.”

She gave him a meek smile. “Your friend already gave me his number.”

Diego’s lips cocked sideways with bemusement. “I’m not surprised.”

“I appreciate your concern, but I really am fine. Every couple has their ups and downs.”

He scrutinized her a moment. “True. Just play safe.”

Play safe? What the hell did that mean? As in use a condom, or did he mean something else she was missing?

“I will. Have a good night.” She pulled out of his rough yet soothing touch.

  “You do the same.”

Greyson pinned his gaze to Melanie until she went back into the restaurant, then he glared at the motherfucker in front of him, Saul apparently. “I didn’t know she was taken. She told me no when I asked her out. You can relax.”

He walked past Saul, but the asshole grabbed his arm to stop him. “Did I say I was done with you?”

Greyson wanted to hit him, but he mentally calmed himself. His thinly veiled aggravation came out low but unhidden. “You need a lesson in manners. Let go of my arm.”

Saul hesitated with a challenging stare before releasing him. “That’s good she said no.” His light green eyes swept over Greyson with unabashed lust. At least they looked light green, though twilight masked the certainty from him. “Of course I can see why she was tempted.”

“Watch yourself.” He started to walk away from the angry lech.

“You remind me of someone, Greyson.”

He turned to face Saul again. “Who’s that?”

Saul slowly pivoted with an expression that wasn’t quite right. The slow smile was almost sinister. “Me, actually, years ago. You’re more aggressive than I was and probably more experienced.” He stepped forward. “And yet there’s something unsoiled about you. It’s just not right. There’s darkness inside of you, Greyson. You don’t know it yet, but it’s there just waiting to rip open the door of innocence and pollute you with blackness that will turn you into something you hate.”

  Crazy, stupid fuck.

Greyson turned on his heel slowly. “You’ve got issues.”

  “So will you.”

He paused and turned yet again to face the fiery pistol. “Is that supposed to be some kind of threat?”

Saul’s lips twitched as if attempting to hide a smile. “I never make threats. I make promises and then I keep them.”

Greyson snorted at this. While the man’s dark smile was mildly unsettling, he wasn’t afraid. He didn’t know Saul, but he’d seen his cocky type before…and then he’d kicked their asses when they’d taken a swing at him.

  Diego rejoined him outside.

Greyson hurled one final comeback at Saul. “After you’re done posturing, you can kiss my ass.”

This time Saul didn’t bother to hide the smile that told him something was off about this man. Greyson gave him his back as he made his way toward the rental vehicle with Diego.

Saul’s voice called after him. “I intend to.”

“Damn it. Why did she have to be taken?” Greyson complained. “That pissy, lunatic bastard doesn’t deserve her.”

He was keenly aware that they shared the same bed, but it was king sized and the original plan had entailed having a woman in it with them. So much for that.

Diego lay on his side next to him with his elbow propping him up. The position made his defined arms and strong chest far more appealing than it probably should since they were just friends.

“It is a shame,” Diego agreed. “At least you found the ideal woman to fuel your fantasies.”

  Greyson smiled brief
ly before getting down again. “It’s stupid, right—to be this disappointed over it? There are other women out there.”

  “True.”

He went quiet for a moment, trying not to think about Diego’s body heat or how close they were in bed together, both only in their underwear. “I’ll find the right woman someday, won’t I?”

“Of course…if it’s a woman you truly want.”

His stomach felt hollow at the implication. “I’m sorry we didn’t get to have a threesome tonight.”

“So am I, but we could always go with plan B.”

  “What’s that?”

A naughty smile curved Diego’s lips and sent unbelievable heaviness in Greyson’s gut. “Have you ever had an orgasm in your mind that was so strong you felt the effects of it without actually shooting off?”

He shook his head, too enamored with his best friend to respond verbally.

“I want you to experience that…for your birthday. Close your eyes.” Diego’s dark eyes glittered with desire. “I won’t touch you.”

Greyson closed his eyes, feeling his cock lift even more when Diego drew back the covers. “What do I have to do?”

“Just keep your eyes closed and listen to the sound of my voice. Feel it inside you. Think of a fantasy you have or someone. It doesn’t matter who, just someone who makes you hot. It can be someone in your past, someone you saw on the street, or simply an ideal in your mind. Do you have the image in your head?”

“Yeah.” Damn, his voice sounded rough with need.

“I want you to keep your eyes closed and picture this person. Really feel them and each place they touch. Let your body respond like it’s really happening. Sound good?”

  He nodded.

“First they draw near your face to kiss you. Can you feel the person’s breath on your skin?”

  “Yes.”

  “Is it warm?”

His body heated up and he almost felt someone breathing on him. “It’s hot.”

“Good. Now feel them kiss your lips. Do they tingle?”

  “Yeah.”

“Do you feel the person’s mouth opening and their tongue penetrating you?”

He began to salivate and felt an invisible tongue tangling with his. “Yeah.”

  “Is it hot?”

  “Yes.”

  “Is it wet?”

  “So wet.”

  “Are you kissing back?”

Yeah.” His tongue moved in his mouth and he almost felt another tongue twisting with his.

“Is the mouth moving to your chest?”

  “Yes.”

“Can you feel lips on your chest, making your nipples hard?”

His nipples tightened as unseen lips pressed against his chest. “I feel them.”

“Feel the lips descend as the person kisses down your belly slowly, softly,” Diego murmured. “What are you feeling?”

  “Excited.”

“And the sensations? Is there heaviness in your lower abdomen and heat all inside you?”

  “God, yes.”

“What happens when this person kisses your scrotum? Does it tighten?”

Greyson moaned and then swallowed with need. “Yeah.”

“Do you want the person to nibble them?”

  “Yes.”

  “What does that feel like?”

His testicles loaded with cum when he imagined soft, warm lips nibbling his sac. “Gentle and moist.”

“Do you feel the kiss on your cock?”

His dick swelled and he felt a jolt in his loins. “Yeah. More.”

“You need more? Do you need the person’s mouth on your cock?”

  “Please.”

“Can you feel how hot and wet it is and the vibrations from my humming?”

He groaned and thrust his hips slightly, melting into the steamy seduction of the mouth in his mind. “Yeah. I want to come.”

“How do you want to come?”

  “I want it inside me.”

  “A cock?”

The word made him burn and ache. “Yeah.”

“Whose cock?” Diego sounded like he already knew.

Greyson was too far gone to think. “Yours.”

“Can you feel my dick pushing into your ass after I lubricate you?”

His anus clenched and started to burn as if was being stretched. “Yes.”

  “Does it hurt?”

  “It does.”

  “But you want it?”

  “Yeah, I want it.”

“Feel me thrusting deep inside you and my hand on your cock. What are you feeling now?”

  “So full and hot.”

“Does your body ache for me?”

  “God, so bad.”

“Can you feel us coming together?”

A needy cry wrung from Greyson’s throat. He could feel it—the fullness of Diego’s erection buried deep in his ass, the heat of his cum flowing from him, and he felt the deep, lingering ache of passion all over him as his cock spasmed with the sparks of his mental release.

  “I feel it.”

  Silence fell between them.

He opened his eyes and gazed up into Diego’s that were hot with lust. Greyson reached up and pulled the man’s head gently toward him so their lips met. They kissed slowly, deeply, making love to the other man’s mouth.

When Diego pulled back, his hand framed Greyson’s face and his thumb caressed him. “Do you want me inside you?”

Greyson nodded and engaged the man in a rougher kiss as they clawed at each other’s underwear. He shivered with chills and burned with feverish want while Diego plunged his lubed fingers into Greyson’s back door and stretched him. It took a while of preparation and then an agonizing period of lying on their sides with Diego’s cock wedged in his virgin asshole before progress was made.

Greyson’s dick ached and he felt so much pressure inside as Diego gradually worked his way inside of him. The intense pain became dull and strange once Diego made it all the way in. The penetration felt overwhelming and a bit unnatural, but somehow right and immensely pleasurable.

Diego held him close while he pistoned gently inside of him and fondled Greyson’s cock and balls. Their legs intertwined and the masculine strength and telling hair there was delicious. Both men came hard. His eyes crossed when he felt the severe plunges of the man’s erection in his ass and then the hot spray of sperm inside him. Greyson’s cock swelled in Diego’s grip before he spilled his warm release all over himself and the man’s hand.

They held each other for a while in a bonding silence. Even the shower they took together and the way they slept in each other’s arms afterward didn’t feel wrong, and that was what felt so weird to Greyson.

  * * * *

Greyson sat on the bed the next morning in his clothes. Why hadn’t it felt weird to have Diego’s cock up his ass? Now that they’d crossed that line, what did it mean for their relationship?

Diego came out of the bathroom after his shower and gave him a fond smile. “Good morning.”

  “Good morning.”

“Were you thinking about last night?”

  “Yeah.”

  “And?”

Greyson glanced down and sighed. “I don’t know what to think. It was incredible, but it didn’t feel weird.”

  “Were you expecting it to?”

  “I don’t know.”

  “Do you regret it?”

  “No. You?”

Diego smiled and sat down next to him on the edge of the bed. “No. I’ve wanted to do that with you for a long time. I’m glad I was your first.”

“It was a good birthday present.” His groin stirred at the memory, but it was the movement in his chest that scared him more. “What does it mean? Are we still friends?”

  “Of course.”

  “Friends don’t fuck.”

“No. They don’t. Maybe we should move forward in our relationship.”

Longing tugged at his soul, but fear slapped him upside the head. “What happens if
we break up? You’re my best friend. We’ve known each other most of our lives. If we throw that away now for sex…I don’t want to lose you.”

Diego’s features saddened. “I don’t want that either. Who says it has to happen that way?”

“It doesn’t, but what if? Is it really worth throwing away the best friendship either one of us has ever had for sex?”

“Can you go back to being just friends after something like that?”

Greyson shook his head. “I don’t know. Maybe if we stop now we can salvage our friendship. If we keep going, this will probably end badly.”

“That would be unfortunate, but never knowing what might have been could be worse.”

The words haunted him. He looked over at the earnestness and feeling in Diego’s eyes. “I’ll never forget what we did, but we can’t repeat it. You mean too much to me. It’s not worth the risk of ruining what we have.”

Diego peeked down and went quiet for a moment. “Would it help if I left the ranch for a little while?”

Greyson’s head jerked. “Don’t leave me. We’ll find a find a way to get back to normal, but I need you in my life.”

Diego looked over at him and smiled. Something hovered in his dark eyes—something that extended well beyond friendship. “I’ll stay.”

  Chapter One

Present day – McKenna Downs, South Dakota

Greyson sat up in bed with his back against a big, fluffy pillow he had propped up against the headboard. He would give anything to get out of his head right now, utilize work, exercise, or anything as a means of distraction from his gnawing thoughts. Alas, he was supposed to relax for a few days and his best friend Diego wasn’t letting him out of his room.

If being alone was a desperate need of Greyson’s during this time, it was one he found himself being denied. Every person in this house had taken it upon themselves to never leave him the fuck alone. He supposed one might call it loving, but there were some that might think of it as irritating to be harassed night and day. He just might be one of them.
