  The waves of the lake distort the mirror image of the moon. Kate lays her head on Simon’s chest. She hears his heart beat speed up.

  ‘Are you alright?’ she asks. Simon nods, ‘Yea, of course. Why?’

  ‘I don’t know,’ Kate replies, ‘Your heart is beating out of your chest. Are you nervous about something?’ she snickers.

  Simon pretends he didn’t hear her snide remark, ‘Well, I’m glad that’s over.’

  As Kate and Simon gaze at the lake, a bubble floats to the surface and pops. Another bubble follows, and another. Kate and Simon stand. The bubbles continue in rapid succession before stopping and returning the lake to its smooth surface.

  Kate bends down and picks up the list. She stares at if for a minute, a troubling look falls over her face.

  ‘What’s wrong Kate?’ Simon asks. She looks up at Simon, ‘It may be over, but it’s not finished.’
