“Baby girl, you pregnant?” She shrieked.

“Shhh! Can you not yell? If Zo hears, he gonna tell Ken, and I don’t want him worrying about me.” I told her. She shook her head.

“Wow, babies?” She whispered, harshly. I nodded. She started to jump for joy.

“I cannot wait, and Angel is gonna be so excited.” She smiled. I shook my head.

I stayed in the hospital for a few days. After they cleared me of everything, I was free to go. They had prescribed me some anti-depressants, and some pain medicine, for whatever reason. As soon as we got in the house, my mother took them and flushed them. She told me I didn’t need any of that shit, I was strong, and I would get through this. Too bad it was easier said then done. It was rough the first few weeks, but Shianne helped me get through it. I had linked up with her for brunch. I was blowing up with these fucking kids like a blimp. Only thing I could eat was soup and ice cream, for some odd reason. My house was stocked with ice cream and soup. Today, I was breaking the news to my best friend. I had been trying to hide it from her, and especially Kenzo, who had been watching me like white on rice.

  “Hey, beautiful.” Shi greeted.

“Hey, gorgeous.” I said. We hugged and I sat across from her. I ordered the soup of the day with some water. She side eyed me as we got our food and made small talk.

“My dance studio is missing you!” She smiled.

“Girl, I won’t be dancing for a while.” I told her.

“What you mean for awhile?” She asked.

“Like maybe six, seven, months. If that.” I sipped my water.

“Why not?” She looked at me strangely, before putting two and two together. She dang near jumped outta her seat.

“NO, BITCH!” She shrieked. I nodded my head. I was really starting to embrace me and all my kids I was having. I couldn’t believe I was about to spit out three at a time, like that just blew me. I was nervous as hell about that part, but I was just trying to keep them healthy, and baking in the oven full term. That hospital scare really scared the shit out of me. If I lost my babies, I probably would’ve lost my damn mind.

  “Yes, girl.” I told her.

“I knew it, bitch, yo face getting fat, and you starting to put on a little weight. I knew all that humping you and yo husband was doing was gon’ catch up to y’all.” She smiled.

“First of all, get outta our business.” I joked.

“Awww, friend, I’m so happy for you, bookie.” She smiled.

“Thanks. But that’s not the killing part.” I told her.

“What? What’s wrong?” She quickly frowned. I sipped my water.

“Twins?” She shrieked, with a huge smile.

  “No.” I said, flatly.

“Then what is it, because I know it’s not triplets.” She scoffed. I gave her a look.

“Nooo. Bitch, you not gon’ sit here and tell me that.” She shook her head.

  “Well, I guess I won’t tell you.”

“You’s a motherfucking lie!” She yelled, and people started staring at us.

  “Girl, calm down.” I laughed.

“I can’t believe this, friend. Triplets, bruh? Whew, child. Can I get a shot?” She called out.

“Exactly, make it two.” I joked.

“I know you lying. My babies won’t be drinking nothing, but water, and I saw these smoothie recipes on Pinterest. I’mma try a few out and see what you like.” She started. I rolled my eyes.

“Girl, don’t start acting like my momma.” I scoffed.

“Whatever, Lee. You already know, I’m so excited. I’m here for you, because you’re going to need all the helping hands you can get with three kids.” She smiled.

“I appreciate that, friend.” I told her.

We ate and continued talking. I told her I was lonely in my huge house, and she offered me to come stay with her. I told her I’d keep her posted, because I just might take her up on that offer. We hugged and went our separate ways. I had yet to receive a call from Ken personally yet, but Kenzo always checked on me daily to see how I was doing. I hadn’t heard from Zell in a while, but I was going to check on Pierre after I met with Ken’s lawyer. I walked in, and she saw me almost immediately. After she told me all the charges he was facing, my heart dropped. It put me in a depressed ass mood, because I felt some type of way. I was head over heels in love with Ken, and I never saw him doing any thing he was being accused of. What struck out the most was the speculation of him running a prostitution ring. That had me sick to my stomach. I got home and turned my phone off for the day. I was beside myself, and I couldn’t even stomach the fact. What if all the shit they were saying was true? I just couldn’t believe it, nor understand it.

It had been three days since I isolated myself. Just me my babies, soup, and ice cream. I was running low on ice cream, and it was late at night. I was just about to suit up and go grab some, when the doorbell rang. I looked through the peephole and it was Zell. I frowned, haven’t heard from him since Ken got locked up. I went to grab my huge coat, to cover my small belly, before letting him in.

  “What’s up, sis?” He smirked.

“You tell me, Pierre. How can I help you?” I frowned.

“Where you about to go?” He looked me up and down.

“Somewhere to mind my business.” I snapped.

“Well, I’m just checking on you to make sure you straight.” He said. I nodded.

“I appreciate that.” I told him.

“How you holding up?” He asked.

“I’m holding up. Just about to go get me some ice cream from the store.” I told him.

“Well, I’ll roll with you. You know damn well my nigga wouldn’t want you out by yourself.” He joked. I nodded.

We drove to the local Walmart, where I stocked up on my favorite ice creams and my chicken dumpling soup. I grabbed a few sodas, and some Red Vines, before checking out. Zell carried my bags and headed back toward the house. Everything was going good, until he started to lowkey spill tea about my husband.

“You know Ken more than likely gon’ have to sit down a couple years, if we being honest. The FEDS got his ass right where they want him, and we done hella shit in our day.” He chuckled, shaking his head.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“Quiet as kept. Some of that shit he being charged with caught up with him, if you know what I mean. I just hope our lawyer can figure out who the fuck our witnesses are, before trial and shit. Have you heard anything about who they were?” He asked.

“No, I haven’t even talked to Ken.” I told him.

“Damn, well. Sis, it’s gon’ be alright. He gon’ be home soon and shit. I’m always here for you! Call me if you need anything! Anytime.” He told me. I nodded and headed in the house.

I warmed up my soup before heading to bed. I dozed off for a few hours, before hearing a banging noise in the middle of the night. It was like the police were breaking in, but it wasn’t the pigs. I quickly grabbed my gun off the nightstand and walked out the room with my phone in one hand, and my gun in the other. I was shaking, I was so damn nervous. I dialed the first number that came to mind.

“I’ve been calling yo ass!” He greeted.

“I think someone tried to break in the house.” I told him.

“I’ll be there in five minutes.” He told me.

“Okay, can you just stay on the phone with me until you get here?” I told him. He instructed me to go back into the room and close the door and wait for him to get here. Not even seven minutes later, he was coming to get me from the room. I had already packed my suitcase to the brim. I was not staying here alone another night.

  “You good, sis?” Kenzo asked.

“Yeah.” I hugged him. He grabbed my suitcase and I made my way behind him, with my gun still out and ready. We were headed to the front door, before I stopped him.

“Wait!” I turned to the kitchen and grabbed my groceries I had just bought.

We climbed in his car, and he dropped
me off at my mother’s home. He felt I would be safe there with my father and mother. He also was coming by to check on me day after day. But after staying here a week, I was going insane, and my encounter with Mylo pushed me to the edge. She had come over to see her daughter, as usual, but had something to say about Angel being laid up under me.

“Bitch, maybe if you had some kids of your own, you wouldn’t be trying to turn my child against me.” She spat, outta nowhere. She got mad because Angel didn’t get up and run to her when she came, and she was laid up under me.

“I’m not even gon’ go there with you today.” I said.

“Your rotten pussy having ass couldn’t, and can’t, hold a gotdamn baby. So don’t try and steal mine!” She yelled at me, and I stood straight up and headed upstairs. I went to pack up my clothing, I couldn’t stay another day here. It brought back so many bad memories, hearing my mother curse her out. I wasn’t about to participate in that bullshit, and especially not in front of my innocent niece. I called Shi, and she was coming to get me fifteen minutes later. We got to her house and I settled into the guest room.

“Thanks again, Shi. I’m sorry.” I told her, and she frowned waving me off.

“No need to be sorry, friend. I’m glad you gon’ be keeping my lonely ass company.” She smiled. I chuckled at her silly self.

“And I can monitor what you feeding my babies.” She smirked. I shook my head.

“Girl, don’t start with me with these damn babies. Ugh, this Kenzo texting me again.” I rolled my eyes. He was wondering why I wasn’t at my mother’s, and I told him I couldn’t take it there, but I was safe.

“We just gotta take it one step at a time, and just know that everything is going to work itself out exactly the way it’s supposed to.” Shi told me. I nodded, I appreciated my friend and her encouraging words.

“Thanks, sis! You are the best, and I love and appreciate you, Shi, from the bottom of my heart. I just wanted to tell you that.” I told her.

“Awww, thanks, boo. If only you knew how much you meant to me. You’re more than my bestie, you’re my sister.” Shi added.

“Blood couldn’t make us any thicker.” I said.

Months went by, awaiting Kentrell’s release date. I was currently entering my seventh month and was big as a damn house. Three kids in my stomach, imagine how uncomfortable I was. It was literally, a struggle to get comfortable, and most of the time when I did get comfortable, I had to pee. I was all belly, titties, hips, and ass. When I got through my first trimester, I got over my morning sickness, and started eating like a fucking cow. I had just finished watching Kentrell on TV, and I had just heard his voice for the first time in months. I was trying not to think too much about what he said, and more so just worry about my babies. I had been trying to stay as stress free as possible, for the sake of my kids. My doctor saw me once a week, and she said she was ecstatic that I was carrying so long. So Ken wasn’t about to stress me out.

I took a shower while Shianne ran to get the pizza. By the time I got out, I heard her coming in the door, and I could smell the pizza. I was finishing putting on lotion before putting on one of Kentrell’s pajama shirts. I smelled it and almost cried. These damn pregnancy hormones, and then I was past horny as fuck. I didn’t know what to do with myself. I walked out the guestroom I made mine the past few months and I thought I was tripping.

“Shi, who you done brought in here with you?” I asked, rounding the corner and turning on the lights.

It was pitch black. Shi was standing there with her mouth covered by Zo, who was standing there mugging the hell out of me, Ken standing to the right of him with a huge mug. My heart was beating out my chest, and I did the first thing that came to mind. I ran. I didn’t know how I had got caught up in love with someone like Kentrell. He went against everything I said I would never date, let alone, marry. So how the fuck did I end up here, married, and in love with this asshole? I hurriedly slammed the door, and Ken pushed right through it.

“Aliyanna.” He paused, taking one look at my huge belly. His face read confusion.

“Is this why you want a divorce?” He asked.

  “What? Huh?” I asked.

“Cause you been out here fucking some other nigga!” He yelled.

“I’m not fucking no other nigga, what are you talking about?”

“You pregnant.” He stopped, staring at my belly.

“Yes, and stop staring, I know I’m huge.” I told him, pulling my shirt down.

“With my seed.” He asked. I nodded, not telling him that he got the three for one special.

“I don’t wanna have to drag you outta here, Yanni Lee.” He started.

  “Then don’t.” I told him.

“But I just got home, and the only thing I want is to lay with my wife and unborn.” He pleaded.

“The unborn you weren’t claiming just a few seconds ago.” I snapped.

“Aliyanna.” He said. I looked into his brown eyes, and I had to admit, I missed him like crazy. And as bad as I wanted to say fuck him, he was my husband. I was going home with him, after making sure my friend was good.

  TWENTY-FOUR

  KEN

These past few months have been a fucking joke. Finding out all this shit on motherfuckers I grew up with, and nigga’s I put on, was sickening. They thought they was gon’ nail my black ass, but I had other plans. If I had to break out this bitch, I was gon’ get the fuck up outta here. Kenzo had been keeping me posted on everything. Pierre was out the hospital, but he still couldn’t talk, and his right hand was broken, so he couldn’t even write the shit. When I got out, the reporters, and everybody, was swarming a nigga, and I couldn’t help but to chuckle. They thought they had a story, but this shit would blow over once the trial was done.

As soon as I got out, Kenzo came and got me. Not a word was spoken as we drove way out. I ain’t know where the fuck this nigga was going, but I knew he had some information. We got out in the middle of nowhere, and all black on black Maserati pulled up. Some nigga with wild hair, and tattoos on his face, climbed out. Tall scrawny nigga.

“Lucci, this Ken. Ken, this is Lucci.” Kenzo introduced.

  “The billionaire boys.” He smirked.

  “Lucci?” I asked Kenzo.

“Lucci is an old friend of mine. Go ahead and tell him Lucci.” Kenzo told him.

I walked away from that meeting with them two, with my fucking blood boiling. I got to the crib to shower and change, and my wife wasn’t home, I was agitated. I threw on some sweats and shit and made my way back down the steps. Kenzo walked up to me.

“Nigga, they done been all up and through this bitch. Everything.” He signaled, letting me know all my shit was wired. I nodded. I already knew, they was on me. Had froze accounts, stopped a few businesses, and everything. But after I was proven to be innocent, I was counter suing they ass.

“I don’t give a fuck what they talking about. Where is Aliyanna at?” I asked.

“I give you one fucking job, nigga.” I snapped, and this nigga started laughing, as her phone rang and rang.

  “Hello.”

“Wassup, Mrs. Rockwell?” I greeted, as she answered the phone in her sweet angelic voice.

“Ken, Kentrell?” She cleared her throat.

“Bring yo ass home, so we can talk about why the fuck you decided it was a good idea to pack up and leave our home, and me, when I needed you the fucking most.” I snapped.

“We have nothing to talk about until after the case is done. I’ll find a way to get you the divorce papers, and-” I interrupted her mid sentence. She had a nigga fucked all the way up with that D word.

“WHAT? Man, stop fucking playing with me. Ain’t no fucking divorce happening, period, nigga, fuck is wrong with you?! Bring yo ass home, Aliyanna! Don’t make me come find yo ass, snatch yo ass up and drag you back to the crib.” I threatened.

“Stop, just stop with the threats. I’m not coming home, you don’t know where I am, nor will
you find me so just let us go.” She said. I looked at the phone like she was speaking French.

“So, you not gon’ come home to your FUCKING HUSBAND?” I asked her.

“NO, NIGGA! Dang, are you deaf?” She yelled back. Zo was in the back laughing at me.

“Alright, bet, I’ll see yo dumb ass in a minute then. Remember I tried to be civil about the shit.” I hung up the phone.

“I had her staying at her parents’ crib, but she took off. I tracked her down though. She been staying with Shi Shi.” Zoe told me.

“You couldn’t have told me that before I called and raised my gotdamn blood pressure?” I asked him. He shook his head.

When we pulled up, Shi was getting out, and she was on the phone, and carrying two pizza boxes. We crept up behind her, and as soon as she took her keys out, I made my presence known. She looked like she saw a ghost. I chuckled, and Kenzo put his hand over her mouth, while I unlocked the door. I heard my baby coming out, talking shit as usual. When she turned on the lights and saw me, and I saw her fucking belly, I almost snapped. She told me she was pregnant with my seed, and I told her to bring her ass home.

We grabbed some food on the way to the hotel suite, and had been laying in the bed chilling and talking. We was gon’ camp out here, until I had the tech team come by my crib and debug that bitch. Her stomach was fucking huge, I had to ask if it was twins in that bitch.

“Bae, it must be two babies in that bitch.” I joked.

“You calling me fat?” She made these sad eyes.

“Nah, baby, I’m not calling you fat, Yanni Lee. I’m saying, bae, it can’t be one baby in there?”

  “Why, cause I’m fat, right?”

  “No, baby.” I started.

“For your information, I’m carrying three of your big-headed kids.” She rolled her eyes.

“Stop lying.” I sat straight up.

“If I’m lying, my fat ass is flying, and you know that’s not happening.” She joked.
