  Laurith's silence was interrupted by a soft moan as Cade stepped back and removed his clothes with a thought.

  "Tell me you don't want me my pet and I will never touch you again. Tell me you don't want my seed pulsing into your womb and you will remain my dragon pet for all time. I will never ask you to assume this form again."

  As Cade made his ultimatum he watched as Laurith's breath hitched as her hand reached for him.

  Beth's information had been sent to Promena who was following the thugs back to their headquarters.

  As Cade broke down another set of houses and rebuilt them he readied himself to clear that hurdle, the gangs that inevitably sprung up from such squalor would have to be dealt with.

  Whether or not they decided to work with him was the big question.

  As Mina and Beth calmed another distraught family, this one of humans, he hoped the gangs could be reasoned with, their knowledge of the city and they're less than legitimate connections could come in handy.

  As the family was walked away from the quickly resolving buildings Cade had hope for this city's future. If he could bring them up and his plan for their self-sufficiency worked he would be one step closer to his goal of having his goddes
s permanently as his wife and the safety of his family would be assured.

  Another thought occurred to him he and Beth's talk of the city's guilds joining them in overthrowing the high chieftain and his mind mage boss.

  He felt a surge of apprehension at the thought, he both hoped and dreaded that possibility, the guilds if they supported him would make his plan for this city much easier to accomplish.

  His throat constricted with dread for a moment as he contemplated the other possible outcome of the reason they were being followed.

  Forcibly pushing those thoughts down Cade returned to the now cathartic task of building new homes for the less fortunate.

  "Baby steps, baby steps" Cade told himself as the newest complex took shape.

  As Cade came awake his he felt a full-body ache for the first time since he had arrived in this world.

  Cade felt a weight lift off of his shoulders as he slowed his attack on his dwarven wife's detectable neck, one step of their plan to take over this kingdom was well on its way to completion.

  Cade's mind wandered as he lifted his head from his wife's neck and his little firebrand snuggled closer to him in the bath.

  The mention of the cities treasury brought a smile to his face as he remembered their own little stash of cash.

  He had converted their third guest bedroom into an office slash vault.

  His self reprimanding ended as Beth lifted her well-padde
