“I’m your guard and besides, I do love the look of that ass. It’s a shame you’ve put pants on though.”

  “Stop, Drake.”

“I’m not going to stop. You haven’t been complimented in years, and it’s time you did. You have a nice ass. You have no idea how many times I’ve thought about fucking it.”

This did get her to stop, making him smile.

Stepping around to face her, he smirked. “I bet you’re thinking all kinds of dirty things right about now, aren’t you?”

She shook her head. “It doesn’t matter what I think.”

“Oh, but it does,” he said. He reached around, grabbing her ass and pulling her close.

He kissed her neck, lifting his hand up before shoving them down her pants and cupping her ass. He squeezed her before spreading her cheeks.

  She gasped.

“I know you’re curious. Taking your ass will require me to take my time. Get you really nice and wet, soaking, in fact. I’ll start with my fingers, get you used to them, riding them, and then, when you’re ready, I’ll spread you open, slide my dick inside you, and fuck you.”

He bit down on her neck and she cried out.

“And if I don’t want to?”

“Oh, believe me, when I’m done with you, you’re going to want to.”

She shook her head. “I won’t.”

“We’ll see, won’t we?” He pulled away to look into her face. “You can trust me, Petra.”

  “No, I can’t.”

“I’ve given you no reason to trust me, but believe me when I say this, you will never doubt me again. I can promise you that. You and me, all the way. I’m going to prove it to you.” He kissed her again. “Now, how about I feed you?”

“You’re always feeding me. You’ve got to get your hands off my ass in order to feed me.”

“Ah, but I like holding your ass. It’s so fucking juicy.”

She laughed as he kept on kneading the globes. “I think you’re crazy.”

  “I’m crazy for you.”

Again, she tensed up. Whenever he mentioned emotions, she always froze up, but he wasn’t going to stop. Even if she didn’t believe him, he didn’t care. She would see the truth one day, and then there wouldn’t be a single doubt in her head.

  “Food would be good.”

“All of this will go away.”

  “All of what?”

“This. Your sadness. Your pain. I’ll take it all away.” He kissed her cheek. “I promise.” He took her hand, leading her downstairs.

“If you’re going into the kitchen, you need to get some clothes on.”

“No can do. I’m being radical.”

  Chapter Six

Petra loved the firelight. Drake slowly stroked a finger down her back and went between the cheeks of her ass.

  She gasped.

Each time he touched her asshole, it felt … weird.

With his other hand, he pressed a finger inside her, and it felt good. He stroked her clit with his thumb and then with his other hand, he started to explore her anus.

At one point, both of his hands left her body and she missed his touch. He wasn’t gone for long. He came back with some lubricant, which he teased all over her ass. His fingers were once again inside her and stroking her clit. His other hand stroked her ass. One finger pressed against her asshole, pushing past that tight ring of muscles.

She cried out as there was a bite of pain, but the pleasure from his touch on her pussy made it all the more worth it.

  “Yes, yes,” she said.

He rocked the finger inside her, pushing deeper then pulling out. She didn’t know how it could feel so good and yet so wrong at the same time. He had his methods, and she loved it.

“You’re so tight. Let’s see if you can take a second finger.”

She gripped the blanket beneath her. They’d made themselves a little love nest on the floor with pillows and blankets. It felt good as he pushed in a second finger. She didn’t think it was possible for her to feel so damn good.

He started to spread her anus and when a third finger was added, she didn’t think for a second it was possible to be so on fire, but she was.

She didn’t want him to stop and as he stretched her out, she only wanted more.

He pulled his fingers from her ass and she looked over her shoulder, watching him as he moved over her.

Drake pushed her hair off one shoulder, his lips finding that special spot on her neck, making her cry out.

His cock touched her back entrance and he stopped kissing her long enough to say, “Don’t tense up.”

She couldn’t help but do that.

“It’s okay, baby. I’ve got you.” He held her tightly against him and slowly, inch by inch, he sank his dick inside her.

  “Wait,” she said.

He stopped. “Do you want me to stop?”

“No. I just … go slowly.”

He did. He took his time with her. Sinking inside her, he took his sweet time until he was deep in her asshole. His balls slapped against her pussy as he filled her.

He took her hands, locking their fingers together. “You have all of me inside this tight asshole, baby. I’m deep inside and you feel so fucking good.”

She closed her eye and took a deep breath. It was strange, exciting, dirty, and so good. She didn’t want him to stop. He kissed her neck and began to thrust in and out of her. Not too deeply, just enough to make her feel each part of him as he took her.

“That’s it, baby. Do you feel me?” he asked. “Feel how much I fucking want you. You drive me crazy. I can’t get enough of you.”

He let go of one of her hands and went to her hip, and he held her steady as he fucked her. It wasn’t long before he was close. She felt the tensing of his cock, but he held himself still.

“I want to feel you come on my dick.” He stroked her clit and she knew she wasn’t going to last long. It was impossible to lock him out, even as she wanted to hate him.

He touched her in places she didn’t think possible. She cried out, moaning for more, and as she came, she felt him come as well. His cock swelled up inside her before coming deep in her ass.

She moaned his name, not wanting him to stop. The pleasure was intense and afterward, he collapsed over her. She didn’t mind taking his weight, it felt good.

  “Fuck, Petra, I love you.”

This … shocked her. At first, she didn’t think she’d heard him right, but then she knew. She just knew deep in her heart she had.

Panic filled her. Wriggling away from him, she started to fight to get him off and out of her. She wanted him away, so very far away.

  “Petra, fuck, be careful.”

He eased out of her ass but rather than look at him, she made a run for it. Going to her bedroom, she slammed the door closed and locked it. She did the same to the bathroom.

The crash of the first door made her jump.

“Dammit, Petra, you don’t have to be afraid or run from me. I won’t ever hurt you.”

  She didn’t believe him.

“You’re not ready for the truth. I get that. Next time, I won’t fucking speak too quickly. Let me in.”

She jumped back as the door rocked.

“This isn’t funny. I want to hold you, baby.”

“You don’t love me,” she said.

  “I do.”

“No, you don’t. You just want my money so you can finish the deal with my father.”

“The deal I made with your father was fucking over the minute I walked through this door and saw you. You think I don’t know how much I fucked up, Petra? I get it, okay? I hated myself for what I did, but it’s not who I am.”

  “Please leave.”

  “No.”

She cried out as the door slammed open.

Drake stood before her, naked. He cupped her face. “I know you don’t believe me, but I love you. I’m in love with you. I will do whatever it takes to care for you. To win back your trust and to prove
to you you’re worth fighting for. I’m sorry I fucked up so badly. I only hope one day you can forgive me.”

For the past couple of days, Petra had locked him out. Not out of the house. He still did constant checks of the perimeter, fed her, and made sure there were no breaches within her security, but it wasn’t enough, at least not to him.

He missed holding her, loving her.

Being away from her, feeling cut out of her life, he hated it so much, but she wouldn’t let him in. She was hurt. He got it, and that was why he didn’t push. There was no way he was leaving her, though.

By the end of the week, he sat down at dinner to find Petra already eating, and a file next to his plate.

He knew what it was. His accountant had already informed him of the funds that were transferred yesterday. Opening the file, he saw Petra’s signature along with the money she claimed was down to him protecting her.

Closing the file, he put it to one side and ate his dinner.

Her gaze was on him. He felt it.

Drake didn’t speak. There was nothing to say.

If she thought paying him off was going to get rid of him, she was so fucking wrong.

“You can leave whenever you want,” she said, the first to break the silence.

  “Not happening.”

“Damn it, Drake, why are you doing this?” she asked.

“Because I fucking love you, that’s why I’m doing it. I’m not going to fight my feelings for you about this, Petra. I get it, you’re afraid. I bet Gale has been on the phone to tell you every single wrongdoing I’ve had, right? You want to believe I’m just another money-hungry asshole willing to fuck you to get an easy life, but you’re wrong. I came to you because I needed the money. Sure. My company was drowning in debt and it was none of mine. You want to see all my finances and see how I was thriving, go ahead. I’ve already got people looking for my guy and when we find him, I’ll have everything I lost. Men depend on me. Not as many people who depend on you and your company, but I take my responsibility seriously. I hated myself for the agreement with your father. The moment I made it, I knew I was going to make it right. This, right here, I thank you, Petra, but I’m not walking away. You can own the entire company for all I care. I’m not walking away from you.”

“I’m not who you need,” she said.

He saw the tear in her eye and it broke his fucking heart. “Don’t cry. When I saw you, and I came to know you, I knew I was going to be the one to stop you from being miserable. Instead, I keep making you fucking cry and I hate it.”

  “This is the first time.”

“It will be the damn last time. I’m not going to leave you, Petra.” He took her hands and kissed each one in turn. “I love you so much.”

“I don’t understand … how could you love me?” she asked. “Look at me. I’m not perfect.”

“I don’t want perfect. In case you didn’t get the memo, I’m not exactly a hero right now. I took a job and for all the wrong reasons.” He reached out, pushing the file toward her. “I won’t go. I’m going to stick around and prove to you I mean what I say. After a year, you’re going to realize I’m not going anywhere.”

“What about my dad?” she asked. “He’s not going to stop.”

“I can deal with your father but it’s going to require you to do something for me.”

  “What?”

He reached into his jacket. “Marry me?”

  She shook her head.

“This isn’t a trick. In fact, before you marry me, I will sign any paperwork that forfeits my right to any of your money or companies, or whatever. I promise you, Petra. This is the real deal.”

  “I … Mom … I … I don’t know.”

“It’s not a no, so I’m going to take that as a maybe.”

  “I’m hurting you?” she asked.

“No, baby. The fact you haven’t said no gives me hope. You don’t completely trust me, but that’s on me. It’s not your fault. I shouldn’t have made that fucked-up deal, but don’t you worry, I’m going to prove to you that I’m one hundred percent committed. In fact, how do you feel about coming and seeing my company?”

  “I don’t go outside.”

He laughed. “No, you didn’t go outside. Now, as much as I’d love to keep you indoors and naked, I don’t think it’s healthy. We’re going out.” He pulled out his cell phone and quickly reserved a table for them at his favorite Italian restaurant. He made sure to keep it an open table because he knew with Petra, he was going to have to be patient.

Rushing her out of the house when she wasn’t ready wouldn’t exactly get him what he wanted.

Once he finished, he put his cell phone away and took the ring out of the box. He held her hand.

“What are you doing?” she asked.

“I’m curious if it will fit you. I saw the ring the other month at a jeweler. It was perfect and I knew I wanted you to be my wife. On the inside I had it inscribed forever mine.” He slid the ring on her finger. “A perfect fit, just like you and me.”

  “It’s beautiful,” she said.

“One day, you’re going to say yes to me, and when you do, you’re never taking this off.” He kissed her hand with the ring and knew there was no way he could fail.

If he did, he wouldn’t have the woman he loved and the family he hoped for. He loved her more than anything and now, he had to fight to prove his love and keep her.

  Chapter Seven

It took Petra three weeks to finally leave the house and to go to his office, along with the restaurant.

Three weeks of being with Drake. She got to the car fine, but the moment they approached the gate, she’d tell him to stop. Each day was a little easier, but still, she couldn’t help but be afraid. Leaving the grounds … wasn’t something she wanted to do.

Finally, after three weeks and believing in Drake, she left her home. His company was amazing. Everything was high tech and to get in the building, clients were given a password for each stage which they had to have in order to make it to their appointment. By which time, there was more security on offer.

Not only did Drake’s company offer personal services, but they also installed top-of-the-range security and would advise each client on a case-by-case service.

She couldn’t believe how amazing it was. He even showed her some cameras that were even better than the ones she had fitted. By the end of the tour, she’d already contracted them to come and update the ones in her home.

Drake gave her a fiancée discount.

Next, he took her shopping for a dress. She hadn’t wanted to wear a dress but he insisted. Drake always did.

The assistant was nice. She didn’t stare at her face for too long, which she did like. In fact, other than a few curious glances, no one stared.

The scarring had faded but she was always aware of it.

After the dress, Drake also arranged to have her hair done and to give her a luxurious spa treatment. He was never too far. Whenever someone was too close and she couldn’t handle it, he was there, holding her hand, guiding her. By the time it was ready to go to the restaurant, she was terrified.

The Italian place Drake recommended was popular and it even had a valet. Drake pulled up and as the guy opened the door, Drake waved him off.

“I don’t think I can do this,” she said.

Drake took her hand. “You can do anything. Do you trust me?”

She looked toward him and nodded.

“I need to hear you say it.”

“I trust you.” She didn’t think it would be possible to trust anyone, but he’d proven himself to her. She did trust him.

He hadn’t run away or let her go. Drake had even surprised her when he’d been the one to organize the paperwork with Gale and signed all of his rights away to her fortune and company. He’d told her he would do anything to prove his love.

Slowly but surely, he was breaking down her doubts and giving her a chance to hope. He climbed out of the car,
rounded the vehicle, and spoke to the valet before opening her door and crouching down.

“I want to take you in that restaurant and have a meal with you, Petra. I’m not ashamed to be seen with you and there’s no reason for you to keep on hiding.” He cupped her face and this time, rather than pull away, she pressed her face against his touch. “Please, come on a date with me.”

“I’ve never been on a date.”

“Then please, do me the honor tonight.”

She didn’t argue with him. Taking his hand, she trusted him, and he led her into the restaurant where the maître d’ was waiting. They had a quiet booth, private, but it still made her feel part of it all. It was strange, beautiful, and it was a date she would never forget.

He ordered her an appetizer to try, their main course, dessert, and she was able to forget about her concerns about being out in the open.

When it was over, he led her out. She did notice a few pointed stares but they didn’t bother her. It was strange to even care.

The only person she wanted was Drake and as he took her home, his romantic night didn’t end there.

He carried her up to the bedroom they now shared and made love to her well into the night. Not once, or twice, or even three times. She lost count and was on a blissful cloud of joy, which was taken from her the next day when she found her father waiting for her outside the gate.

She’d left Drake in bed, letting him sleep in. Standing in her security room, she saw her father pacing.

“Damn it, Drake, I know you’re in there. It’s time for us to have a little chat now.”

Rather than buzz him in, Petra left her house and walked the mile-long driveway toward the gate.

The moment her father saw her, he looked surprised. “Petra, honey, I didn’t expect to see you. I was hoping to talk with your guard.”

  “Drake’s not coming,” she said.

Her father’s lips pursed. “So, you know.”

“Do I know that you keep sending bodyguards to pretend to fall in love with me in the hope of getting their hands on my money and company?”

“That’s not your money,” her father said with a snarl to his lips.

“You’re right, it’s my bloodline’s money. My mother never took your name and you will never be a Hall. You’re nothing,” she said.
