Leviathan's Lament

One corner of his chiseled lips tilted upward in a wicked, pleased smirk, then he bent to kiss her, pulling her in even closer. He groaned against Grey’s lips and she pulled back to watch as Steff planted soft, lingering kisses along the side of Mat’s neck. “Full disclosure. I would like you both to know I am objectifying gay men so hard right now.”
Steff lifted his head to look at her, giving her a wink and a leer. “No objections here, darling. I think I like the audience.”
Mat just kissed her again, searing himself into her senses, his hands mapping her hips and ass, even as Steffen slid a hand between them, ghosting up under Mat’s shirt and raking it up to tweak his nipple. “Shit,” Mat breathed, tailing his lips from the corner of Grey’s mouth to her jaw, then down her neck. “You two are too much.”
Steff slid his hand into Mat’s hair and tilted his head back, claiming his mouth in a deep, sexy-as-fuck kiss that made Mat shudder and Grey moan. “I think you’ll find some way to cope,” the blond said in a teasing voice as he pulled away.
Someone knocked on the studio door and Grey startled, pulling away from Mat slightly to see who it was. Luca stood in the doorway, one dark eyebrow raised and her phone in her hand. “No fucking in the studio. I don’t want jizz all over the instruments.” She wave the phone at Steffen. “Your turn to get screamed at, dude. Sorry to ruin your fun.”
Steff just chuckled wryly and drew away, his fingertips gliding over Mat’s ass as he went. Taking the phone from Luca, he winked at Grey and sauntered off like the freaking diva he was. Mat’s fingers stroked along Grey’s jaw, turning her head for one more soul-stealing kiss. “Later,” he whispered. Then he followed Steff out the door, pausing to nudge Luca’s shoulder in passing.
Luca shoved him playfully and crossed the room to lean against the little table near Grey. “You sure you can handle all that? ” the water sprite said with a smirk.
Grey rolled her eyes. “No. No, I’m not. But it’s worth a try. You only live once, right?”
Luca’s laughter echoed through the house as they went to take advantage of the coffee Steff had brought—and figure out a way to bribe their manager back into a good mood.
Chapter 25
Grey stretched and sighed, twisting this way and that in her seat to ease the tension in her back from sitting so long. Steffen gave her a sympathetic look and shoved the notebook back over to her side of the table. They had spent the last couple of hours working on adding him into some of the songs they planned to perform on the tour. It wasn’t difficult, but it was time consuming, and Grey wanted to make sure they got it right—that they didn’t change the older stuff so much the fans would get mad, but that they let Steff be as big a part of the band as he could be.
Grey was surprised how serious the guy could be. He always seemed to be flitting around, soaking up attention and giving off this vibe of I’m-cool-and-I-know it. But when he sat down and started talking music, he was like a whole different person—focused, considerate, thoughtful. It was so weird.
“Do you think that last bit is too much?” he asked Grey, his blond brows drawing together as he tapped the last stanza of the song they’d been working on. “Maybe we should pull back there. It’s really your song.” He glanced up at Grey. “Luca wrote this with your voice in mind, it’s obvious.”
Grey shrugged, hating that she could hear the bit of wistfulness in his tone, and that she knew exactly what it was about. For some reason, she could read Steff like an open book. She was afraid it was because she’d used her magic on him repeatedly. But whatever the reason, she knew he wasn’t all wistful because Luca had written a song for Grey, and he still had some attachment to the guitarist. Grey was pretty sure Steff was just thinking that Grey meant more to the band than he did. That he was just an extra. She shook her head, denying his words, and the emotions behind them. “It’s not my song. It’s Lucifer’s . And it will sound way cooler this way.” She smirked at him. “See? I’m learning to share.”
He cracked a smile at the innuendo, closing the notebook and leaning back in his chair. “Oh, are you?” He pulled his hair tie out of his hair and wrapped the whole mass up into a messy bun. “Maybe we should tell Mat that.” His smile fell and he gave Grey a serious look. “I think he’s being really careful still. Like he’s afraid of pissing us off if he pushes for too much too fast.”
Grey felt herself blush, but firmly decided to try to be an adult about this. She could talk about sex, for fuck’s sake. “I’m not going to get mad,” she said, crossing her legs and settling more comfortably in her own chair, trying not to fidget. “Have you guys, uh.” Crap. There went her ability to be an adult human and form words.
Steff laughed softly at her fumbling, but his own fair cheeks were turning pink. “Slept together?” He shrugged. “I gave him a blowjob. Once. We’ve made out. But I think he’s afraid of doing anything else. He said we all need to talk about ‘expectations,’ and ‘boundaries.’”
Grey rolled her eyes. “Well, yeah, it’s probably a good idea. But he never set those kinds of limits when he knew I was sleeping with other people. What kind of weird, double-standard is that?”
Steff sighed. “That’s just Mat. He’s always held himself to a different set of rules. I think... .” He worried his bottom lip between his teeth in a way that had Grey wishing she was still a guy...or that she had been there to watch him with Mat, because that mouth. Releasing his bottom lip from between his teeth, he frowned. “I think it has something to do with not thinking he’s good enough or something. Like...what’s okay for the rest of us humans isn’t okay for him, because he’s not one of us. I don’t think I’m explaining it right. I just...I think it’s more about him than about you or me, you know?”
Grey nodded. “I get it. He’s just harder on himself. Maybe because he thinks everyone only sees the man-whore persona.”
Steff snorted. “Like that’s a bad thing.” His grin was pure evil. “Does it bother you? That’s he’s so...free with his sexuality?”
Grey gave him a look. “Does it bother you ?”
Steff’s laugh was rich and infectious. “Hell no. It’s amazing.”
Grey laughed too, amused that they shared the same opinion on this. Mat’s easy, open attitude toward sex was refreshing—it kind of put Grey at ease, like there would never be any expectations or pressure when she was with Mat, because he wouldn’t judge. Besides, it was also hot as hell to think about him with other people, which was a kink Grey never knew she had. But oh, Gods, did she ever.
“We definitely need to talk to him,” she muttered fervently.
Steff chuckled and stood, holding out a hand. “No time like the present, right? Wanna go ambush our boyfriend?”
He was right, it was great timing. Luca was out at Island Records working through some contract stuff with George, Ethan was visiting his mom, and last time she’d seen Levi, he’d been in the office, so absorbed in learning about current culture through social media that he’d barely looked up from the screen.
Grey took Steff’s hand and let him pull her out of the chair, a shiver of anticipation racing through her veins. “I think I like this whole teamwork thing.”
Steff squeezed her hand. “Me too. I....” He bit his lip again, and Grey was really growing to love that little emotional tell. “I really like you, Grey. And I’m not just saying that because of Mat or the siren thing or any of that. You’re...pretty awesome, actually.”
Grey huffed a laugh. “You’re not too bad yourself. Not at all the asshole I wanted to think you were.” She winked. “Too bad you’re not into girls.”
He paused for a second, lips parted in surprise. Grey mentally kicked herself. Way to be awkward and weird, Grey. Then Steff regained his equilibrium and tugged her out the door. “Let’s go find Mat.”
Chapter 26
Steffen clung to Grey’s hand as he led the way to Mat’s room. She didn’t try to pull away from his grip, and he wondered if she knew it was as much to comfort him as i
t was for her. He had been given an amazing gift. He’d never thought Mat would really be his, still didn’t know what made him open his mouth and blurt out his feelings to the guy in the first place—but God, was he ever glad he had. That Mat not only felt the same way, but that the amazing, curvy redheaded seductress at his side was willing to let him be part of their relationship...Steff thanked whatever deity was watching over him.
He reached Mat’s door and lifted his hand to knock, shooting a glance at the woman who stood by his side. Bright green eyes met his, and her round cheeks dimpled, making her look downright impish, like they were two kids out on an adventure. “I’m so fucking nervous,” she whispered, squeezing his hand. “Why am I so nervous?”
He smiled back at her. This. This right here was why the woman was so blindingly perfect. “Me too,” he whispered back. Arching his brows in a comic expression of horror, he added, “You think he’ll tell us to go away?”
She elbowed him, their hands still linked. “Yeah, right.” Then her smile faded, and she poked at her soft middle. “Just don’t laugh at me when you see me naked.”
He huffed a surprised laugh. “ What?”
“Come in,” Mat called, interrupting their silly whispered discussion.
Steff shook his head at Grey, opened the door, dragged her inside, and closed and locked the door behind them.
Mat was lying on bed with an open book on his lap. He swung his legs over to sit on the edge of the bed and stared at the two of them with a curious half-smile, one dark eyebrow lifted. “Hello.”
Steffen took a deep breath and pretended he wasn’t scared shitless. “Hi there, beautiful.” He pulled Grey over to the bed and pushed her toward Mat. “I brought you something.”
Mat laughed as he suddenly found the buxom woman standing between his knees. He caught her with his hands on her wide hips, a surprised laugh escaping him. “Gee,” he said with a smirk and a little purr in his voice, “thank you.”
He tilted his head back to look up at Grey and Steff was startled, as always, at the adoration in his gaze. Mat was never really let his emotions show like that. He wondered if Grey realized how much the broody bassist loved her. And if Mat would ever look at Steff that way one day.
Grey ran her hands through Mat’s dark brown hair, thoroughly messing up the carefully styled waves before she bent to kiss him. Steff stood back and watched, letting them have their moment, feeling unsure of himself. Sure, this was hardly his first threesome, but the others hadn’t meant anything. This wasn’t some one-night thing with a couple other drunken frat boys or fellow industry people. It was Mat. And Grey. He had to admit he cared more about both of them, in their own unique ways, than he ever had about anyone he’d been with before.
He watched Mat’s hands glide over Grey’s generous ass, smoothing upward to her waist as he leisurely explored her mouth. Women did nothing for Steffen, but watching Mat with Grey was something else altogether. When they came up for air, Grey glanced over her shoulder, her golden skin flushed and her eyes shining. “What are you doing over there? I thought we were a team?”
He laughed and paced closer, ruffling her crazy red curls before he bent to steal a kiss of his own, his lips gliding over Mat’s in a soft tease of a touch, planting one knee on the bed beside Mat’s hip as Mat curled an arm around his waist to draw him closer.
“Wow,” Grey breathed, dropping to her knees and running her hands up Mat’s thighs. “You guys are so hot together. It’s really not fair.”
Steff pulled back to wink at her. “You weren’t watching from where I was a minute ago.”
She huffed a laugh and sat back on her heels, glancing between Mat and Steff. “For real, all joking aside...is this okay, Mat? I don’t mind you know, if you guys want to do stuff alone.” She smirked. “Well, okay I’ll be bummed I missed it, but I get it. And I swear I won’t go all pouty female, if that’s what you want.”
Mat glanced at Steff, then reached out to cup Grey’s jaw. “I just don’t want either of you to feel left out, or like I’m playing favorites or something.”
Grey gave him an unimpressed look. “Was I playing favorites when I spent the night with Luca last night? Or a few days ago when I was with Ethan? Am I making you feel left out, Mat? Because if that’s the case, just say so.”
He shook his head, giving her a fond smile, then glancing at Steff with a look that made his breath catch. “I’m not feeling anything except really, really lucky. Can I tell you a secret?”
Grey arched a brow and Mat smirked. “I kind of just wanted the first time with each of you to be...all of us together.”
Steff laughed and nudged Mat’s shoulder. “You slut.”
Mat just chuckled. “Well, you know me.”
Steff immediately felt bad for teasing. He leaned in and captured that wicked mouth again, pressing in for a biting kiss that left them both breathless. “We already talked about that. Grey and I both agree your sluttiness is a complete turn-on.”
Mat let out a surprised laugh and glanced at Grey. “Do I need to be worried about leaving you two alone together? It sounds like all you do is talk about me and scheme.”
Grey shrugged. “We did plan an ambush. Can’t say you’re wrong.”
Steff leaned in to whisper in Mat’s ear, loving the little shudder that earned him. “Guess you’ll just have to make sure we’re never alone.” He put his hand on Mat’s thigh, just above where Grey’s still rested, drawing a teasing line up to the bulge in Mat’s pants. His fingers found the zipper and he teased it down, one little tug at a time.
Mat reached for Grey as Steff got his pants undone and tugged his rapidly hardening cock free. He stroked Mat from root to tip while Mat worked on getting Grey’s shirt off, loving the heavy feel of him in his hand—and the feel of the warm metal of his Jacob’s ladder against his palm. Fuck, Steff could not wait to feel that inside him at some point.
Grey pulled back long enough to chuck her bra to the floor, and Steffen had a moment of feeling overwhelmingly inadequate at the site of her full, perfect tits and all that smooth, perfect golden skin. Surely any normal, chick-loving guy who was presented with the soft, feminine beauty that was Grey wouldn’t want anything to do with Steff.
Then Mat was turning to him, kissing him like he was oxygen and Mat needed him to live. Somehow, he ended up shirtless too, Mat’s skilled hands gliding over his abs and chest, pulling him closer as he plundered Steff’s mouth with his tongue.
He moaned into the kiss, loving the scrape of Mat’s short nails down his back, tilting his head to the side so Mat could trail sucking kisses along his neck. The bed dipped and he opened his eyes to see Grey reaching around Mat, her huge tits squashed against his back as she unbuttoned his shirt and slid it off his arms, pausing to kiss his shoulder. Her eyes met Steff’s and she flushed, turning her attention back to Mat. Steff helped, and soon they were all naked, lying on the bed with Mat between Grey and Steff as they showered him with kisses and caresses. Grey blushed as she trailed her fingers over Mat’s piercings, clearly in awe.
Mat trailed his hand down across Steff’s hip and to his straining cock, cupping him and stroking, slow and firm. “You’re so beautiful,” he whispered, kissing the corner of Steff’s mouth, then turning to pull Grey in for a kiss. “Both of you.”
He let go of Steff to roll over, his long body covering Grey’s. Steff stroked Mat’s back and that perfect round ass while Mat trailed nibbling kisses from Grey’s mouth to her throat. He watched, his whole body flushed, as Mat moved lower, suckling at Grey’s breasts, dropping kisses on along the center of her ribcage, down to the soft swell of her belly.
Grey gasped and sighed, fisting her hands in Mat’s hair as he settled between her legs. His clever fingers parted her folds, and he dipped his head. And fuck, that shouldn’t be as hot as it was, but something about watching Mat with a girl was just... Christ . Steff propped himself up on his elbow to watch, gripping his own cock and stroking himself. Grey gasped and arched her back
, her hands gripping the blankets and her pink lips parted, panting as Mat drove her wild.
Mat slipped two fingers inside Grey, and she moaned, swearing under her breath. He glanced up at Steff as he swirled his tongue over her clit, and Steff almost came right along with her. He clamped down on the base of his cock, wanting to make it last.
Mat turned his head to kiss Grey’s inner thigh, stroking her leg with one hand as she came down from her orgasm. “All warmed up now?” he said with a smirk, glancing from Grey to Steffen.
Grey barked a breathless laugh. “Gods, yes.”
Steffen grinned and echoed Grey’s words from a not so long ago. “Full disclosure. I am objectifying straight people right now.”
Grey reached over and swatted him. “Oh, shut up.”
Mat crawled back up the bed so he was in between them again, grabbing a condom from the nightstand along the way. Then he tugged at Grey’s hips. “Come on. The big, bad siren isn’t worn out already, is she?”
Grey rolled, throwing a leg over Mat so she sat astride his hips. Leaning forward, she kissed him, rubbing herself along the length of his cock, carding her hands through his hair. When she sat back, she glanced at Steff. “I feel like I’m getting all the attention here, not that I’m complaining.”
Mat patted her hip and lifted a hand to crook a finger at Steff. “Oh, don’t you worry. I’ve got plans for Steffen too.”
Steff smiled as he leaned in for another kiss and put on a fake pout. “Oh, do you? I thought I was just here to supervise or something.”
Mat bit Steff’s lower lip. “Get over here.”
Steff did not have to be told twice. He carefully got himself kneeling over Mat’s shoulders, his aching cock bumping Mat’s wicked lips. The other guy groaned, and Steff felt him thrust upward as Grey impaled herself. Steff glanced over his shoulder and sure enough, the redhead was rolling her generous hips, taking Mat in deep and slow, her green eyes half-hooded with lust as they met Steff’s. “Oh, Gods,” she whispered breathlessly. “The piercings.” She moaned and Steff looked away, trying not to think about how happy he was just watching her enjoy their boyfriend.
