Broken Pieces (Leaving You, Finding Them Book 1) Page 18

by Tammi Lynn

“You know, we never did anything here with the girls we brought. Never liked them enough to get caught with our pants down with them.”

My arousal spikes at the mention of our public display. I know we don’t see anyone else out here but the thought of getting caught, of being a little wild? I can feel myself start to get wet, and I raise my hips up to grind against him with a moan. “Show me. Do to me what you weren’t willing to do with them.” The words come out huskily as my breathing picks up in speed.

He sucks a nipple into his mouth, and my back rises off of the bed of the truck. I grab a handful of his curls, holding him against me as he trails a hand down to the zipper of my jeans. He lets go of my nipple with a pop, and gets up onto his knees, straddling my legs. Unzipping my jeans, he pulls them and my underwear down to my calves. They won’t go any further with my boots still on, and they lock my feet together, so I bring my knees up and then drop them to the sides. I’m bare before him with my legs spread open in anticipation of him coming between them. He runs a finger through my arousal before sucking it from his fingertip, and the action has me grabbing for his zipper. His cock springs free as I relieve him of his pants, pushing them down his thighs.

Roman is back over me in a second, the tip of his cock brushing against my entrance. “Do you have a condom?” I’m seconds away from raising my hips and forcing him inside of me, but I still remember to be safe.

“The rest of the guys and I have all been tested and are clean. You can see the results anytime, and Cade told us you were on the pill and have been tested… Oh! Fuck!” Not letting him finish, I thrust my hips upward, and with my hands now on his ass, I pull him in balls deep.

  “Oh shit,” I gasp.

His head drops to my shoulder where he grazes his teeth before kissing it. I bring my hands up to grab back onto his hair, but he takes both wrists into one hand and holds them securely above my head. He starts moving in long hard thrusts, and my knees come up, and my thighs lock onto his hips. The pressure of my building orgasm has them flexing and twitching against him. Just as my orgasm rips through me, he bites down on my shoulder, intensifying the sensation. As my climax starts to recede, he thrusts into me hard once more before coming deep inside and moaning my name.

Was it possible for someone to die from having to much fantastic sex?

Wrapping my arms around him, I keep him held against me, not letting him up or remove himself from me for a few minutes. When he does, I don’t like the empty feeling I’m left with. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt so safe in someone’s arms, and I feel like I could stay in Roman’s or any of the guys' arms forever. I’m not sure I like the feeling of needing them so much, I’ve done things on my own for so long, it’s hard to let anyone in to help out every once in a while.

It’s a little after eleven when we get home. Roman kisses me goodnight at the door and waits till I’m inside and have the door locked behind me before he walks back. What I find when I walk into the living room has my heart-melting. Cade and Miklo are both laid out on either end of the sectional, both with their heads on the armrests and their arms crossed over their chests as they sleep.

The room's dark, only illuminated by the TV still playing whatever movie they had been watching. Apparently, Miklo was up past his bedtime. After quickly taking a picture of them with the flash on, Cade opens his eyes and smiles at me. I smile back at him before gently shaking Miklo awake, and making him go to his room. I grab Cade’s hand and lead him back to the bedroom. We both undress down to our underwear and climb into bed.

I’m so tired, and my eyes keep closing. Cade is spooning me from behind, one arm under my pillow and the other one around my waist. I’m almost asleep when he starts talking. “So me and Lil Man had a talk tonight.” My body tenses, not sure where this conversation is going. I was supposed to have a talk with him. “He came to me.” My body relaxes back into him as he starts playing with my hair. “He was actually really protective over you. I was proud of him. He asked me what our intentions are with you, and that we’d regret it if we ever hurt you.” My baby boy, he’s such a sweetheart. “Then he said that he didn’t care how many of us were with you as long as we take care of you and treat you right. That he only wants you to be happy.” I’m not crying. You’re crying.

“I still need to have a talk with him, but I’m glad he talked to you. He must really like you all to have said something.” I can’t help the yawn that follows. Cade nips at my shoulder and pulls me closer.

“Go to sleep, Baby Girl.” He kisses my cheek, and I’m soon asleep in his arms.

  Roman

I’d had a really long day today. Jesse and I had spent most of the morning and afternoon in business meetings trying to win the bid on an Inn restoration some author had purchased. When we got home and inside, I was dead on my feet when Mia’s text came through. It was like a shot of caffeine to my system, and I was instantly awake. There was no way I was going to miss getting to spend some alone time with her.

Being with her is easy like it’s just natural and meant to be. She acts like no one but herself even when she gets embarrassed at times, which makes me like her even more. I don’t feel like I have to put up a front with her or try too hard, she just accepts and appreciates anything you can give her.

I had been a little nervous that things would be a bit awkward after I had told her about my mom. But it was anything but uncomfortable, if anything, it only made me feel closer to her. I think Mom would have liked her. They both have the same smile…

I should have known I wasn’t going to actually see any of the movie. The moment we sat down, I couldn’t keep my hands off of her. If we hadn’t been in a theater with other couples, I never would have lasted all the way to the lake before sliding between her sweet thighs. Going in bare felt terrific, I had to bite my lip to keep myself from coming to quick, pushing into her slick heat had my body going fucking crazy.

We had laid there staring at the stars and talking for another hour before leaving. When we got home, she invited me inside, and it almost killed me to have to tell her no. Jesse and I have another meeting in the morning, but this time with the bank, We’re trying to get a loan to fully open our business and get trucks and tools funded for new employees. If I had gone inside with her, there was no way I would have gotten any sleep. I’m craving her body now as I lay in my own bed, thoughts of earlier having me hard again. It looks like a cold shower is coming before any sleep.

  Chapter Fourteen

  Basketball, Basketball, Basketball

“Drive faster, Jayson. I don’t want to be late for Miklo’s first game.”

He squeezes my thigh where his right hand is resting, the other one on the steering wheel and chuckles. “Yes, well, if someone hadn’t taken so long to get ready, we’d already been there.” I stick my tongue out at him. Yup, I’m mature, it’s just the best comeback sometimes.

I’m currently squeezed in the front of Jayson’s truck between Roman and him. Cade is on the other side of Roman against the door. Don’t ask me why we’re all squeezed in the front and not any of us in the back. I’m not complaining though, this is one sandwich I don’t mind being a part of. “I always get nervous when I am around the parents of Miklo’s friends and couldn’t find anything to wear. I’m glad Jesse is already there.”

We’re currently on our way to see Miklo’s first basketball game of the season, and I‘m super excited to see him play. Jesse went ahead in his jeep, not wanting to wait anymore. He wanted to get there early to give Miklo a pre-game pep talk. Those two have been thick as thieves for the past few weeks. Every morning Jesse gets him up early for a run, and then they are always still outside playing basketball when I get home from work. He’s been taking working with Miklo at basketball very seriously, and it’s amazing to see. Miklo is never more focused than when Jesse is teaching him something new.

When we pull up into the school parking lot, we all get out. I scoot out the driver's
side, and Jayson helps me down and out of his jacked up truck, hands on my waist. “You're going to have to get me a ladder to get out of this beast.”

He grabs my hand and threads our fingers together before we all four started walking towards the gym. I love it when they hold my hand, at least one of them always has to be touching me. “Nah Sweetheart, then I wouldn’t get to put my hands on you helping you down.”

“So, do you know if Lil Man will be starting?” Roman asks.

Cade answers before I do. “Yeah, man, it’s all he could talk about last night at dinner. He’s a point guard.”

  “Fuck yeah!”

“Roman!” I look around to see if anyone heard him, but I think we’re good.

“Oh shit, I mean crap. Right, kids around.” I laugh, and Cade gives him a light punch to the arm. I love their enthusiasm over Miklo, and it’s nice and such a change to get to go to one of his functions with someone else, It’s always just been me.

I squeeze Jayson’s hand as we walk through the gym doors. “Thank you guys so much for being here. It means a lot.”

  “No problem.”

  “Wouldn’t miss it.”

Cade grabs my right hand and pulls me to him, and my left slips out of Jayson’s. “Baby Girl, don’t worry, at least one of us will always be here.” He kisses my temple, and I’m overcome with emotion at his words. This is what I always wanted. Someone to be there with me as Miklo grows. To share the experience and love and not feel alone anymore.

“You guys are too much.” I will not cry at my child’s sporting event, I will not cry.

Jayson grabs my other hand again, and I walk between him and Cade, not thinking twice about who sees me with two guys on my arms. If anything, I feel proud. Roman is at my back. Jesse is about midcourt saving front row bleacher seats and is waving us over. When we reach him, he takes me away from the guys enveloping me in a big hug and spinning me. He has the happiest look on his face.

“It’s about time you guys got here. The games about to start. Beautiful, he is so ready and pumped, he’s gonna do great. The coach let me go back there with them for the team huddle. Oh! And the coach is going to talk to the board about getting me on as an assistant coach! Can you believe it? Here put these on, I got us all one to wear.” He’s talking so fast I don’t think he’s even taken a breath yet. He hands us all blue hoodies with orange writing and the wolverine mascot on them. I notice he’s already wearing one, and we follow suit and slip-on ours as well.

“Thank you, Jesse, these are great.” I give him a kiss on the cheek, and he beams. Looking around, I have to smile. Seeing us all matchy matchy is almost comical, but I love it. Also, how freakin’ cute is he? Fucking perfect.

“Okay, I’m going to go stand with the team, but I saved you guys these seats so you could see all the action.” He sneaks a quick kiss to my lips, and I swear the guy practically skips over to the other side of the court. He may or may not be seconds away from exploding into confetti.

  “Well, he’s excited.”

Roman laughs as we all take a seat. “You could say that again. You have no idea how much he’s been loving all this, and sh-crap, him getting to be an assistant coach? He’ll be on cloud nine for the entire season, possibly longer.

Jayson chips in. “Yeah Sweetheart, him getting to do all this stuff with Lil Man is like a dream he thought he missed out on.”

I look across the court at Jesse and smile. The team has come out of the locker rooms, and Jesse has his arm around Miklo’s shoulders as they listen intently to the coach. I notice the way Miklo keeps looking over at Jesse, and my heart couldn’t get any fuller. He’s looking at him as if he’s searching for approval, and Jesse looks like he has nothing but pride in his eyes. That right there. That is the type of man my son should be looking up to.

My mouth popped open, did I really just think that? Oh man. I ‘m in trouble.

I’m just about to comment on them when I see a little blonde hair blue eyed girl walk past. “Hey, it’s Andie, right?”

She stopped at my words and looked back at us nervously. “Yeah, I’m Andie.”

She’s just the cutest little thing with the smallest little voice. From the way she’s dressed in jeans, a t-shirt, and sneakers, she looks like she might be a little tomboy. Hmm, maybe they are just friends. She keeps looking at the players on the court who are now warming up, and I can almost bet she’d rather play with the boys than be with one of them. “Who are you sitting with? Are your parents here?”

“No, I came by myself. Promised Miklo, Sean, and Killian, I’d come and watch them play.”

“Well, here.” I scoot Jayson over a little bit to make room for her. “You can sit with us. Best seats in the house.”

“Okay, thanks.” She sits between us and looks around at us. We’ve got Jayson to one side, Cade to the other and Roman behind us, me leaning against his legs. She may have seemed shy at first, but the girl is now smiling and sitting straight.

“And now, to introduce our JV starting line-up!” The announcer comes over the speaker, and the lights dim a little. Three players are called and run out to the center court before it’s Miklos turn. “Miklo Davila, number 7, and your starting point guard!” I, Andie, and the guys all stand up to hoot and holler at him. I manage to do my mom proud and let out an ear-splitting whistle with two fingers in my mouth. It actually shocks me. I’ve always wanted to do that and usually end up spitting all over. When Miklo gets to the center with the rest of his team, he does a little impromptu dance, that has the crowd roaring. When did he get all this confidence? I’m feeling better and better about our move, the changes in Miklo for the better alone, makes me think this was the best decision.

The game is actually pretty intense, both teams seem to be matched in skill level. Whenever the Wolverines make a basket, the away team swishes one in right after. When half time rolls around, they are tied at 24-24, and it’s taking all the patience I have to not get up and yell at the little shit on the opposite team who elbow checked Miklo in the ribs during the last play. I was so close to getting up when Roman leaned forward from behind and whispered in my ear that he would sit on me if he had to. I already had Cade holding me down with a hand on my thigh and knew I’d never make it across. It’s not like I wanted to hurt the kid… You know, just let him know what’s up.

Standing up, Jayson asked us if we wanted anything from the concession stand, and after putting in our requests, Roman and Cade stood up to go with him. Jesse was in the locker room with the team, so it left Andie and me by ourselves. “So how come you’re not playing on the girls' team? You look like you want to get up and play with the guys.”

I swear I heard her mutter twat waffles under her breath before saying, “Yeah, I’d rather be playing with the guys. They’re my best friends, and I can’t stand the girls' team. I, um, actually did make it, but was kicked off a few days later.”

  “How come?”

“I throat punched the captain.” Oh shit! I like this girl! “She’s a witch with a B and was running her mouth and started talking crap about me. “It was worth getting kicked off the team, now she doesn’t say anything. ”

“Well, good for you. I can’t stand a bully, and while I can’t say I condone fighting, I believe in fighting back and sticking up for yourself with a passion.” Her eyes softened, and she started looking down towards her lap. Fuck, what did I say?

The slightly awkward silence we were about to have never comes because right then, the guys come back with the soda and snacks. I take my soda and popcorn, leaning back against Roman’s legs once again. Jayson quickly sits next to my left side, making Cade sit on the other side of Andie. He winks at me before stealing some of my buttery popcorn. I try to playfully smacked his hand away, and he throws a piece up in the air, catching it in his mouth. Giving me a satisfied grin, he tosses another one up, and I push him out of the way at the last second and catch it in my own mouth. Yep, I’ve got skills. I give him my own satisfied smile earning a
laugh.

Half time comes to an end, and all the players all come back out onto the court. The boys still look pumped and ready to start the second half, I can see them practically bouncing. Neither team makes as many baskets in the second half, both having upped their defense. There are twenty seconds left on the clock, and we’re up by two, but the other team has the ball. A player on the other team is getting ready to take a shot when Miklo comes out of nowhere and stole the ball. The whole crowd gets to their feet as he throws the ball halfway across the court to Killian, who takes a three-pointer and makes it in the basket three seconds before the buzzer sounds.

The crowd goes wild, and the rest of the team rushes out onto the court, jumping and giving each other high fives and praise. I see Jesse give Miklo a huge hug, picking him up from the ground. Have we talked before about how I’m a crier? Yep, a few tears slip out from seeing the pride in both of their faces.

While the team goes back into the locker room, Jesse comes over to wait with us where we’ve been sitting. “Did you see that last play? It was fucking awesome!” The gym is practically empty now except parents waiting for their kids, so I don’t even chastise him about his language, although he does earn a slap to the back of the head from Cade. “No, seriously, the whole team played excellent tonight, but Miklo was on fire! He should be on Varsity.”

“Hey, now. Don’t have him up against the bigger guys just yet. He gets another elbow, and Roman and Cade won’t be able to stop me again.”

“Calm down, Momma Bear. He can handle his own.”
