Beauty and the Biker

He didn’t even care about the deal anymore. All he wanted was Isabella.
He didn’t think it was possible for him to fall for anyone, not so quick, not so hard. But he was gone, and he knew it.
The first time her lips touched his, he knew he was a goner.
Gunner sucked in a deep breath and looked to the rumpled bed sheets, still messy from their incredible night together. He sighed and left the room, unable to think anymore about what he’d never have again.
That wasn’t for sure… she could come back.
Why would she? He’d forced her to marry him, and now she was free. She wouldn’t be coming back. Great sex or not.
“C’mon, man.” Jax called to him from the hall.
He walked toward the door, took one more deep breath, and then pulled it open.
He joined Jax and they walked together in silence down the hall. They took the elevator to the top floor, which is where the reception was being held.
“Kinda shitty to show up to your wedding reception without your bride, eh?” Gunner tried to laugh.
Jax just frowned and placed a hand on his shoulder, squeezing.
They walked out of the elevator and into the main room. There were so many bodies there, Gunner didn’t even think he recognized half of them. His eyes scanned the room for his target.
Then he saw his dad, deep in conversation with a woman. She wore a flowing yellow dress that hugged her curves and cascaded down her body, matching her golden hair.
Hair that looked like… Isabella’s?
Gunner’s father caught his eye. His grin grew wider, and he held up his hand, giving an “OK” sign and pointing toward the woman in front of him.
She spun around and- there she was. Isabella.
The most beautiful woman in the world, staring at him with her big eyes and her red-painted lips.
She caught his gaze, and his heart felt like it just may explode from his chest.
She smiled the widest, most stunning smile he’d ever seen.
She was there. She was back. She was his.
He smiled back.
Epilogue
Isabella dipped her brush into the small tin of oil, then mixed it on her palette with some white paint. She carefully brought the brush to the canvas and tapped highlights onto the image, the familiar feeling of accomplishment pooling in her stomach as she approached completion on her project.
One final touch.
She dropped the brush, wiped her hands on her apron, and then stepped back to take in her piece.
She jumped when hands curled around her waist, but then leaned into the strong body that had wrapped around her.
“It’s amazing,” Gunner’s voice rumbled in her ear.
She smiled and spun toward him, pressing her lips to his. “Thank you.”
“Just the truth, baby.”
Isabella shook her head. “Not just that. Thank you for everything. Thank you for being everything I didn’t know I wanted.” She bit her lip and turned to look out over the balcony, the shimmering water beneath them. “Thank you for making all my dreams come true.”
The corners of his mouth slowly spread, flashing his white teeth. “You better keep dreaming, sweetheart. I plan to spend my whole life making your dreams come true, and house on the lake was just too easy.”
He scooped her up into his arms as she started to giggle. “I can think of a few other dreams.” She bit her lip before flicking her tongue out over it.
“Oh, yeah?” His eyes lit up with hunger. The same hunger she felt for him.
“They’re a little naughty.”
He growled. She laughed.
Gunner brought her to the bedroom and tossed her down onto the mattress.
“Gunner! I’m covered in paint.” She carefully tried to keep her hands off the clean white bed sheets. “I need to shower.”
He crawled over her, moving his body between her bent knees. “Baby, I’m just going to get you dirty again.”
Her breath caught in her throat as desire spread through her. “We’re going to my dad’s store opening in an hour. We don’t have time.”
He kissed her neck, right on that special spot he always knew how to find. She leaned her head back and moaned.
“For us? We’ll make the time.”
Isabella knotted her hands in his hair and gave up on arguing. She took his mouth and he pressed into her.
Her husband. Her lover. Her savior.
Her dream come true.
