Heartbreak And Past Mistakes

“Yessss,” Lyric hissed as the hot bubbling water instantly relaxed her tired muscles.

She turned the bottle of champagne up to her lips and took a huge gulp. Her favorite Mint Condition CD was playing and the entire mood was perfect. It was at those times that Lyric didn’t mind being single. Of course she missed the intimacy, but that wasn’t hard to get. Bronx had been trying to drop some dick on her since day one but nothing had happened yet.

When Lyric saw that her first bottle of wine was almost empty, she grabbed her towel and got out of the tub. Once she grabbed and opened her a new bottle, she was headed back outside when the ringing of her doorbell stopped her. Lyric wasn’t expecting company so she grabbed her gun and went to see who it was.

  “Who is it?” Lyric yelled.

“Open the door and see,” Bronx replied.

With a deep scowl on her face, Lyric grabbed her keys from the hook to let him in. She hated when he popped up over there without calling first. Bronx was the first and only man that she’d ever dealt with who completely disregarded everything that she told him.

“Didn’t I tell you about popping up over here without calling first?” Lyric fussed once he walked into the house.

“I don’t understand why you keep telling me shit when you know I’m not listening. My fault though, pretty girl. I didn’t know you were in the shower,” Bronx said as he walked in carrying bags.

“I wasn’t in the shower. What’s all that?” Lyric asked while pointing to the bags that were in his hands.

“You told me that you were staying inside and getting drunk, so let’s get drunk,” Bronx smirked.

He had a few bottles of Lyric’s favorite wine and a bottle of Hennessey for himself. He knew how much Lyric liked fruit, so he stopped at Whole Foods and got a variety of them.

“Thanks but I already started,” Lyric replied as she held up her bottle of wine and walked away.

Bronx followed her outside and his jaw dropped when he saw the huge hot tub bubbling up inside the screened patio. He’d been to Lyric’s house lots of times but he had never gone out back.

“When did you get this?” he asked as he nodded towards the tub.

“Almost two years ago,” Lyric replied.

“Why didn’t you tell me about it?” Bronx asked.

“You never asked me,” Lyric smirked as she let the towel fall from her body before getting back into the hot water.

“Fuck,” Bronx hissed as he grabbed his manhood through his jeans.

He was mesmerized as he watched Lyric open her champagne and drink right from the bottle. He couldn’t remember ever seeing something so sexy. If he did, it wasn’t important enough for him to remember. She didn’t invite Bronx in and he didn’t wait for her to. He stripped out of everything that he had on and got in right behind her.

“You’ll get used to it,” Lyric said when she saw the pained expression that crossed his face. The water was extremely hot, but she wouldn’t have had it any other way.

“Happy anniversary baby,” Bronx said as he pulled her close and kissed her.

  “Huh?” Lyric questioned in confusion.

“I know you wasn’t gon’ remember but today made three months since we went on our first date,” Bronx replied.

“Aww, that’s so sweet that you remembered that. Especially since we’re not together,” Lyric replied.

“It’s one thing to lie to other people but you should never lie to yourself,” Bronx replied as he pulled her closer and kissed her again.

He put his hands on both sides of Lyric’s face as their tongues intertwined. Bronx tasted a hint of the sweet champagne that she was drinking and that turned him on even more. He didn’t know how far Lyric was going to let him go, but he had to try. He kept kissing her, moving his hands from her face to her back, where he unhooked her bra. Lyric was sucking on his tongue and he was hard as a brick. If she would have stopped him now, he didn’t know what he would do. She obviously wanted it too because when he took off her underwear, she never made a move to stop him. Lyric was still holding on to her bottle until Bronx took it from her. He sat her on the side of the tub and turned the bottle upside down over her head. Lyric moaned as he poured the cold liquid all over her body. Once the bottle was empty, Bronx tossed it and went to work. He started at her lips and licked his way down her body, tasting the wine that he’d just poured over her. When he got to her freshly waxed kitty, he wasted no time diving right in.

“Oooh shit,” Lyric hissed as she placed her hands behind his head.

Lyric though Spencer was the best, but Bronx had quickly changed her mind. He had her legs bent back as far as they could go as he feasted on her like a starving man. Lyric was feeling lightheaded and she didn’t know if it was from the champagne or his bomb ass oral skills. Bronx was only a few minutes in and she was already begging him to stop. Her body felt light as a feather and her head was spinning.

“Bronx, wait boo. Fuck!” Lyric screamed as she had a gut wrenching orgasm.

She expected him to stop but that only seemed to make him go harder. He turned Lyric around and started eating her from the back just like he always said he would. He slapped her ass and made it jiggle as his tongue moved like a tornado. Lyric was trying to crawl away but he didn’t let her get too far. He held her in place by her thighs and sucked on her pearl slowly, sending her over the edge. Lyric had another powerful orgasm that made her legs shake and her eyes roll up to the sky. She was thankful that Bronx finally showed her some mercy and came up for air. That nigga was born ready and he was ready to back up all the shit he talked. Before Lyric could even get right, he bent her over the tub and guided his thick tool inside of her.

“Fuck girl,” he hissed as he just stood there without moving.

He didn’t expect Lyric to be so tight and he wanted to enjoy the feel of her for a little longer. After a few seconds, he started stroking her slowly as he grabbed her breasts and caressed them gently. Bronx tickled her neck and ears with his tongue before turning her head to the side slightly so that he could kiss her. Lyric’s insides felt like velvet and he had to stop himself from crying out like a bitch. He started out stroking her slowly, but he picked up the pace and had her screaming a short time later.

“Yes baby, just like that!” Lyric screamed as she threw her ass back at him.

“You know you’re mine now, right?” Bronx asked as he continued to stroke her.

  “Yes boo,” Lyric answered.

“Don’t say shit that you don’t mean Lyric,” Bronx warned her.

“Oh shit. I’m gonna cum again,” Lyric moaned.

“Tell me you’re mine Lyric,” Bronx demanded.

“Yes baby, yessss!” Lyric yelled out.

“No, I need to hear you say that shit,” he commanded as he rotated his hips and stirred her middle.

“Yes Bronx, I’m yours,” Lyric replied as she continued to back it up on him.

“I’m holding you to that shit too,” he replied as he pounded into her harder.

Bronx felt himself getting close, but he couldn’t tap out that fast. He talked too much shit and Lyric would never let him forget it. He didn’t expect her insides to feel like heaven on earth, but the shit was amazing. There was no way that he could walk away from her now and he wasn’t going to try.

“Ummm,” Lyric moaned when Bronx pulled out of her and started licking her from the back again.

She was seeing stars and it felt like she was going to pass out. That nigga had her hooked already and she was praying that things worked out between them. Sex like that was addictive and hard to give up. Bronx alternated between sticking and licking and Lyric was loving it. That nigga was the best to ever do it and she didn’t mind giving him his props. It was so good that Lyric was thinking about what she wanted to cook him for breakfast in the morning. It didn’t matter that she really didn’t know how to cook. For him, she would get in the kitchen and try.

Over two hours and multiple orgasms later, Bronx h
ad to carry Lyric inside and put her in the bed. She was knocked out as soon as her head hit the pillow. Bronx had put in mad work, so he laid down and went to sleep right after her.

The following morning, Lyric woke up to the ringing of her phone. It was after ten that morning but it felt like she’d just gone to sleep. Her head was spinning and her mouth felt like cotton.

“Who the fuck is Raymond?” Bronx snapped, scaring Lyric with his deep voice.

She was in a sexually induced coma the night before and she forgot all about him being there. When she thought about the things that he did to her body, her kitty started jumping with anticipation of him doing it again.

“A friend,” Lyric replied with a yawn.

“You got a man now. You don’t need no friends. Tell that nigga to lose your number,” Bronx ordered.

“You starting up with the bullshit already,” Lyric said, shaking her head.

“You damn right. I put my name on that pussy last night and I ain’t playing no games behind it,” Bronx replied as he slapped her ass.

“Let’s go get breakfast,” Lyric suggested.

“We can do that, but I have something to give you first,” Bronx said as he got out of the bed.

His clothes were still outside, so he opened the door to the patio to retrieve them. He looked in his back pocket and pulled out an envelope that he handed to Lyric. He watched as she opened the envelope and a big smile appeared on her face.

“Aww. This is so sweet Bronx. Thank you boo,” Lyric said as she sat up in the bed and hugged him.

“You’re welcome baby. I know you like them gay ass niggas since you’re always listening to their music,” Bronx replied.

“I love them and there is nothing gay about Mint Condition,” Lyric corrected, referring to one of her favorite singing groups.

Mint Condition had a slow jams concert coming to the city and he got Lyric front row seats to go see them. They had a few more of her favorites that were going to be there and she couldn’t wait. Since there were two tickets, she was sure that he was planning to go with her.

“You think it’s too soon for me to be in love with you?” Bronx asked as he stroked Lyric’s wild hair and looked at her.

“You say the most random shit ever. But, I really don’t know the answer to your question. Love is complicated, especially for me.” Lyric shrugged.

“Does it scare you?” Bronx asked her.

“I’m not afraid to fall in love. I’m just afraid to fall for the wrong person again,” she replied honestly.

Bronx only nodded his head because he understood exactly what she meant. He didn’t believe in putting a time stamp on feelings because that was almost impossible to do. Some people caught feelings after only one encounter and some others spent years with a person that they never even loved at all. Love was complicated and every situation was different.

“So, which one of these drawers is mine? I need to start keeping some of my stuff over here,” Bronx said as he got up and stretched.

“Shit, nigga, after last night, you can have any one you want,” Lyric replied, making him laugh.

“Damn, it’s like that?” Bronx asked as he admired her naked body.

He loved a woman who was comfortable in her skin and Lyric didn’t seem shy at all. Bronx was still naked too and he didn’t have a problem showing off what he had. He hit the gym a few times a week to make sure he never had to hide.

“Come here. I have something for you too,” Lyric said as she scooted to the edge of the bed.

As soon as Bronx walked over to her, she grabbed his manhood and stroked it gently until it came to life. Lyric slowly licked up and down his shaft and around the head, causing Bronx to hiss lowly. Once she had him at his full length, Lyric spit on his dick before sliding him into her mouth and to the back of her throat.

“Damn girl,” Bronx moaned as Lyric sucked him expertly.

If she didn’t know anything else about sex, she knew how to give some fire ass head. She had her ex Bradley to thank for that because he taught her everything that she knew. That was exactly why Bronx was pulling her hair and yelling obscenities. He was telling Lyric that he was falling in love with her. She hated to admit it but the feeling was mutual. They hadn’t known each other long but they fit together perfectly. Every time they were out in public, somebody always complimented them on how cute of a couple they were. Lyric tried not to think negatively or let doubt creep in but it was hard. Melody told her to just let things progress and go with the flow. She was taking her mother’s advice and enjoying the ride for as long as it lasted.

“Shit!” Bronx yelled, pulling Lyric away from her thoughts.

He had his head thrown back and his eyes were closed tightly, as Lyric continued to suck the life out of him. Instead of going out to breakfast, they ordered in and picked up right where they left off the night before.

  Chapter 20

After an awesome weekend of mind blowing sex and relaxation, Lyric was back to business as usual that Monday morning. Mr. Malone was on vacation and it was just like him to forget to cancel all of his appointments before he left. Lyric was back and forth between her office and the front lobby, trying to reschedule everybody who showed up to see him. He had meetings lined up that she had to cancel and conference calls that she had to sit in on. When lunch time came, she was already drained and ready to go home. She didn’t even have time to eat but Bronx had her covered and she didn’t even know it.

“Hey boo,” Lyric said when she answered the phone for him.

“What’s wrong baby? You sound kind of rough,” he replied.

“I can kill Mr. Malone for leaving all this work for me to do. I can’t even begin to tell you how hectic my day has been,” Lyric sighed.

“I can tell. I got a lot going on today too, but I ordered you some lunch. It should be delivered in about fifteen minutes or so,” Bronx said.

“You are so damn sweet. Thanks boo, I really appreciate that,” Lyric replied with a smile evident in her voice.

“I wish I was there to have lunch with you but my day has been crazy too. I miss you though,” Bronx said, even though he’d just left her house the night before.

“I miss you too boo,” Lyric replied, right as her desk phone rang.

“I hear your phone ringing, so I won’t hold you. I’ll call you a little later,” Bronx said.

“Okay boo and thanks again for lunch,” Lyric said before they disconnected.

Just as she’d assumed, someone else was in the lobby saying that they had an appointment with Mr. Malone. Lyric didn’t even get mad anymore. She just grabbed her phone and went to the lobby to reschedule the appointment on his calendar. After working with him for three years, she already knew how he was. That was actually supposed to be Nova’s job now but he didn’t trust nobody but Lyric to do certain things for him.

“Hi, I’m Lyric Carter, Mr. Malone’s assistant,” Lyric said when she walked up to the man and greeted him with a handshake.

After explaining everything to him, Lyric put him on the calendar and he was on his way soon after. She was happy that she was already in the lobby because the deliveryman had just shown up with her food. Lyric was happy when he told her that Bronx had already tipped him because she didn’t have any money on her. She grabbed the bag from him and prepared to go back up to her office to eat. As soon as the elevator doors opened, Lyric was surprised to see Mary and another woman getting off. At first glance, Lyric could tell that the older woman had been crying. She looked great and, aside from the oxygen that she carried around, she didn’t appear to be sick at all.

“Are you okay Ms. Mary?” Lyric asked as she grabbed her hand.

“No,” she replied as he started crying again.

“What’s wrong? Did something happen to your son?” Lyric inquired.

Lyric read in the papers that her son, as well as the other men who went to trial with him, had already been sentenced. Despite her efforts to get Javier to help her, Mary’s
son was sentenced to twenty-five years in prison. She hadn’t been back over there in a while and Lyric was surprised to see her now. The case was over and there was nothing that Javier could do for her now unless he went back to court to argue for a reduction in sentence. He was an asshole and that was highly unlikely.

“He’s been receiving threats from people in prison. They’re calling him a rat and threatening to kill him,” Mary sniffled.

“Oh no. I’m so sorry to hear that. Did he report it to someone at the jail?” Lyric asked.

“What good is that gonna do? My brother helped them and now they won’t even return the favor. Telling somebody will only make it worse,” the other woman snapped angrily.

Lyric understood their frustrations so she didn’t take her angry outburst personally. She didn’t know anything about what they were going through because she’d never had a love one in jail before. It had to be hard knowing that your family was in danger and there was nothing that you could do to help.

“That bastard didn’t even want to see me. He even threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave, even though I had an appointment,” Mary fumed.

“We have other attorneys here. I can see if one of them can help you,” Lyric offered.

“Can you, Lyric? I really appreciate you so much,” Mary said with hopeful eyes.

“Yeah, just have a seat and let me see what I can do,” Lyric replied.

Most of the female attorneys were more compassionate than the males, so Lyric got one of them to come down and talk to her. She felt good when she saw Elise take Mary and her daughter back upstairs to her office with her. Lyric didn’t know if she could help or not but it wouldn’t hurt to try. Once that was done, she went back to her office to eat her food.

It was after six that afternoon when Lyric made it home and she had never been so happy in her life. She took a nice relaxing shower and curled up in her bed and prepared to read a good book. She hadn’t talked to Bronx since earlier and he didn’t answer when she called him. He did say that his day was hectic, so Lyric didn’t think too much of it. He sent a text saying that he was thinking about her but that was about it. After reading a few chapters in her book, Lyric drifted off to sleep and prepared to have another busy day at work.
