The Wild Child

“Nigga, we go back in two days. Why yall waited so long?”

“Cause she had to find a way out here first. I ended up paying her people some gas money to bring her out here.”

I squinted. “Wait, what? You went through all that trouble? The pussy that good?”

He shrugged. “I don’t know yet.”

  “You don’t know yet?”

  “Nah, not yet.”

I licked my lips. “How did you meet this chick?”

“One weekend while I was out in Dallas with Chubby. We swung by the projects and met her coming out of a store.”

  “So, she’s a rat?”

“I wouldn’t say all that. I mean, at first I thought she was, but she’s actually cool, and rather smart.”

“Yall been chatting for a minute?”

  “Yup.”

I nodded. “Okay, fuck it. I’ll roll with you. I can chop it up with her cousin while you do you.” I figured that being open to converse to keep the cousin preoccupied wouldn’t be the worst thing. Most broads were cool with that, and if I didn’t make a move to do anything more, I was sure that she probably wouldn’t, either.

  He nodded. “Bet.”

  ***

  “Jareeeeeeed!”

I stood back in awe as my brother picked up this chick and allowed her to wrap her legs around his waist. I knew that I had to be wrapped into my own bullshit to not realize that there was a chick that he was actually feeling. Crazily, as excited as the girl was to see him, that nigga was matching her enthusiasm. I was speechless as he tongued her down, when he usually had a strict no kissing policy.

We had just stepped into the small apartment and they wasted no time. Glancing around, I had to admit that although the apartment wasn’t in the best neighborhood, it was decent inside. It was clean, and the furniture was well coordinated.

Since Jared didn’t bother with introductions, I focused on who I assumed was his friend’s cousin. “How you doing?”

  She smiled lightly. “I’m fine.”

That you are. “Oh, okay. I’m Jeremy, by the way.”

“And I’m Vita,” she responded. I can’t front, lil’ mama was the truth. She was on the tall side, at least 5’8, had copper brown skin, small waist, and a fat ass. Ole girl was super thick. Cornbread fed status. I’m talking about body, and then she was pretty. Her high cheeks bones gave her face a regal look, while her weave brushed across to top of her ass.

“Nice to meet you,” I smiled.

“Likewise.” She boldly gave me a wink, before clearing her throat. “Uh, Cavalli, girl, is it that serious?”

Jared had just placed ole girl on her feet.

“Cuz, we’re about to go to the room? Okay?” Jared’s friend announced, sounding like she was seeking approval.

Vita looked me up and down before nodding. “Go ahead.” I took that to mean that if she didn’t like what she saw, then her cousin wouldn’t be able to chill in her bedroom with my brother. “But you’re sad, Cavalli. You didn’t even bother introducing your friend.”

Cavalli was grinning from ear to ear. “My bad. Vita, this is Jared. Jared, this is Vita, my sweet cousin who allowed me to have company at her crib, when she really didn’t want to.”

Jared smiled. “Nice to meet you, Vita. Appreciate you for facilitating this moment.”

  Vita smirked. “You’re welcome.”

“Good, now, let’s go back here and talk,” Cavalli said anxiously, as she pulled Jared along.

“Okay,” Vita stressed, as she sat on the couch. “You can sit down, Jeremy. I won’t bite.”

I smiled, as I joined her on the couch, keeping a safe distance. “Something tells me that your cousin begged you to do this,” I commented for the hell of it.

Vita nodded. “She did. She knows that I’m not too keen about strange niggas coming through my crib. She wanted him to bring somebody for me, so that her ass could post up in my room without interruption.”

My eyes wandered over her body. “Well, I’m surprised that you agreed to that. I’m sure that you don’t have a shortage on niggas interested.”

She shrugged. “Them having interest don’t mean much to me. All these niggas around here want one thing, and that’s why I carry my ass to work and stay out the way.”

I furrowed my brows. “Yeah? Where do you work, if you don’t mind me asking.”

“I work in customer service at AT&T,” she stated proudly.

I nodded. “That’s what’s up. Does that mean that you can help me save some money on my bill?”

She giggled. “Not a chance in hell.”

I leaned my head sideways. “Aww, that’s fucked up.”

“Yeah, yeah. Anyway, what do you do? Let me guess, you’re a entrepreneur, right?”

I narrowed my eyes. “I don’t know about in the sense you’re referring to.”

Her head fell back. “Aww, come on. I’m from the hood, nigga. I can spot a nigga from the streets a mile away. Look at you. Tatted up. Smooth. And these fucking high priced ass clothes. How else is a young nigga like you able to afford thousand-dollar shoes?” she referred to my Giuseppe’s.

Initially, I thought about telling her the ways she had me fucked up. I sometimes hated how our people looked at each other. So narrow-minded. It was sad to think that even our own kind couldn’t think beyond stereotypes. A young Black man dressed in designer clothes didn’t equate to a criminal, and I wanted her to know that. Even if I descended from a life of hustling. That wasn’t who I was. However, I also took note of something else. This was the first time in forever that I was dealing with someone who was green when it came to my background. Most people knew all about my family’s history, my football career, and the money my people had. Knowing all that didn’t mean that people knew me, but try telling that to the average person. No, I didn’t like the fact that Vita thought that I was a trap star or some shit, but I appreciated the fact that she didn’t know anything. Therefore, I could chop it up, without her acting like a fan.

“Aye, I’ma just say this. You can’t judge a book by it’s cover.”

She shrugged. “If you say so. What I do know is that Cavalli better not be back there too long. I gotta get my laptop to do my homework.”

“Homework? What school you go to?”

“HCC,” she revealed, referring to Houston Community College.

“Yeah? That’s what’s up. How long have you been going?”

“Two years. I graduate next semester. Then it’s U of H. You smoke?”

I nodded. “Hell, yeah. Roll up.” I placed a bag of Chronic on her coffee table. “And what are you getting a degree in?”

  “Accounting.”

“Oh. So, you’re good with numbers, huh?”

“Yep.” She nodded, as she grabbed a box of Swisha Sweets.

Before I knew it, a couple of hours had passed. Me and Vita had the living room smoked out, while we ignored her cousin screaming at the top of her lungs in the next room. Gauging from the grunts and screams, they’d been going at it for at least an hour, and Jared had to be beating the pussy up.

“That bitch owes me big. Up in there fucking in my room. Shit, I can’t remember the last time I’ve been fucked in here,” Vita casually confessed, as she hit the blunt.

I smiled while shaking my head. “It’s a drought, huh?”

  “What? Like a muthafucka.”

  “And why is that?”

“Because these niggas aint shit. I had a boyfriend and we were together forever. We’ve been having this apartment for a minute. His ass actually told me that I didn’t need to work. He swore that he had everything handled. But being out there in those streets landed his ass in jail. Sentenced to three years to intent to distribute a controlled substance. Thank God I had enough sense not to listen to him. His little money been dried up and I’m maintaining with my job that he swore I didn’t need.”

“Well, damn, that’s fucked up. So, what about now? Are you holding your man down while he’s lock
ed up?”

“Hell, nah,” she scoffed. “Fuck that nigga.”

“Damn, you cold on ‘em, huh?”

“No. I’m the most down bitch you ever wanna meet, until you cross me. I found out in visitation that he had a side bitch with a baby, and that was the last day I laid eyes on him.”

“So, has he let go too?”

“Nope. He still reaches out. Hell, this was his address too, so he definitely knows the address to write here. I guess he believes that since I still live in this apartment which he considers ours, he still has a chance. But silly him. This is my shit, and whenever he gets out, he better go live with that trashy ass baby mama of his, over there in the projects. That’s his best bet. Shit, his ass better thank God that I didn’t find out about his hoe, until he was already in jail. Otherwise, I would’ve blasted his ass with my .38.”

I lifted my chin. “You certified?”

“Oh, without a doubt. I couldn’t wait to get my gun license. I’m ready for any fuck nigga or bitch.” She handed me the blunt.

“I feel you,” I uttered, before taking a toke off the blunt.

She smirked as she openly studied me. “I like you. I mean, I like how you’re so laid back. We’re just kicking it, and you didn’t ruin the moment with that corny shit. A whole lot of niggas would’ve tried to fuck, and I’d be ready to put your ass out.”

I chuckled. “Nah, you aint gotta worry about that with me. I promise.”

“Well, damn. Am I that ugly?”

I licked my lips. “Nah, why you say that?”

Before I could answer her, my cell went off. It was Jhyrah calling.

“Hold up, let me handle this, right quick,” I mumbled, before answering the call. “Hello.”

“Where are you, Jeremy?” Jhyrah questioned.

“Hanging out. Why, where you at?”

“In your room, about to fall asleep.”

“My room?” I repeated, catching that look on Vita’s face. “It’s like that?”

“Yep. I’m going to the airport from here, so I decided to get a head start.”

  “You’re two days early, huh?”

“Yep. I aint about to sleep any more nights without you. I’m so over that.”

My dick jumped. “Yeah, I feel you. I’ll be there in a few. You can go to sleep, if you want. You know I’ma wake you up.”

“Okay. Love you,” she breathed into the phone.

“Love you too,” I replied, before ending the call.

“Oh, wow,” Vita voiced. “I definitely wasn’t expecting all that, and I guess that’s my bad for not asking if you had a girlfriend.”

“No, that’s my bad. It just never came up. I was enjoying your company and I didn’t think my relationship status was relevant yet.”

“But now it is. So, was that your gal?”

  “Yeah, it was.”

“And she’s at your house? In your room?”

“Well, technically, she’s at my parents’ house.”

She giggled. “Oh, my God. Please tell me that you’re not one of those.”

  I squinted. “One of what?”

“You know. One of those niggas who spends all their money on clothes, but haven’t bothered leaving the nest.”

I chuckled. “Nah, man. You really need to stop making so many assumptions. I really don’t live out here. For now, anyway. I go to school in Los Angles. Me, my brother, and my girl all do. We’re just home for the Christmas break, and then we’re headed home the day after tomorrow.”

Vita looked stunned. “You mean to tell me that my cousin Cavalli, with her ghetto ass, is dating somebody in college?”

“I don’t know about all that, but yeah, my twin is definitely in college.”

“That’s crazy. I would’ve never guessed. Shit, I gotta give little cuz her props, this time. She did that. A handsome nigga attending a major university. What, are yall athletes…or—”

“My brother is just a student,” I quickly answered, speaking only for Jared. I didn’t want her to know that I played football, right then. Looking me up was too easy and I liked the idea of her not fully knowing who I am. She’d get to know me better that way, if that made any sense. “He’s just smart as hell. Finished number one in our class.” Shit, I’d finished number five myself, but I never really talked about it. Hell, I really didn’t count it, because my twin either helped or did most of my homework for me. Therefore, I kept it real with myself, accepting the fact that my twin had helped me cheat my way to the top. Shit, sometimes that nigga would show up in class on test days and take my tests for me. Thankfully, teachers couldn’t tell us apart and some didn’t even realize that either of us had a twin. Nevertheless, I’d liked telling people about my brother his full academic scholarship, because most people were so quick to assume that most Black guys were only able to attend major universities because of sports. Yes, this was partially true for me, but football wasn’t my only way in. Even without a scholarship we could’ve chosen whatever school, because our parents had our college funds saved up, regardless.

“That’s what’s up. Now, I know that if nothing else, we can be friends. You and your brother. Cause I can always vibe with people who are trying to do something with themselves.”

I grinned. “I feel you. Friends it is.”

  Chapter 18

  Jhyrah

My second semester in college had been smooth sailing. After plenty of drama between me and Jeremy, we’d finally found a balance that worked for us. Clubbing had been minimized to just the weekends, and I’d completely cut Gloria off. Naturally, she was in her feelings about it, but that was her problem. Me and her had been associates at best, and that meant nothing when it came to my relationship with Jeremy. Everything and everybody were expandable if he was in the equation.

College was still lit, don’t get me wrong. I was now just prioritizing shit. I wasn’t going to be one of those girls in her thirties wishing for a Jeremy. I’d seen enough to know that what I had within him was rare, so I was holding on for dear life. Bitches were becoming bolder by the day, therefore, I stayed on my toes. Hell, I had to fire two of his homework doers after finding inappropriate texts from them. Thankfully, Jeremy hadn’t engaged with them, otherwise I would’ve had to kill him. It all just reminded me that I needed to remain on my Ps and Qs. Hell, after thinking about it, I felt like even Gloria had been out to sabotage my relationship. The bitch would go on and on about how Jeremy loves me, but then would be the main one working overtime to persuade me to do the very things he detested. I was quickly learning that misery loves company. She was out there wilding because her man couldn’t keep it in his pants. Her rebellion was a natural reaction to a fuck nigga, but that wasn’t my Jeremy. He didn’t carry me as such, so I had to give him that same energy in return.

In love was an understatement. This place that me and Jeremy had ventured to couldn’t be found in the dictionary. Every day all day I found myself smiling just because. And now that we were out of school for spring break, I was grinning so hard that my face was beginning to hurt. Instead of flying into Houston, me, Jeremy, Josairah, and Little Jah had decided to take a couple’s vacation to Montego Bay, Jamaica. We were staying in a beachfront mansion which was breathtaking. The architecture on the home was super modern with huge picture windows, giving the perfect view of the pool and beach. There was an infinity swimming pool out back. I absolutely loved how the bamboo trees swayed with the flow of the wind. The scenery was effortlessly romantic.

The trip was supposed to be celebration for Little Jahrein getting back to himself. He was visibly in better spirits, but I really couldn’t claim that we’d done much celebrating together. Knowing my brother, he’d lose his shit, if he’d seen how I was walking around the upper level of the house. I wore only clear stilettos and a long white sheer cardigan, which I didn’t bother tying up. Channeling my inner Raven, the biggest diva I knew, aka my mama, I had a glass of sweet champagne in hand, feeling myself. Swinging my hair over my sho
ulder, I placed my hand on my hip, as I noticed Jeremy filming me with his iPhone, as he lounged on a chaise.

“Why you got the camera on me?” I questioned teasingly. “You like what you see?”

“Hell, yeah,” he practically moaned. “That pussy sitting right. Fatter than a muthafucka.”

I seductively smiled, as I palmed my kitty. “Is that right?”

“Got damn.” He grabbed his bulge through his Versace briefs. “I swear to God that you’re one of the finest muthafuckas I ever seen.”

My clit thumped, as I recollected to how he’d just eaten the pussy from the back 30 minutes prior. We’d fucked too many times to count within the past few days, and still with one look he could set my body ablaze. On some nasty freaky shit, my pussy was still slick from my and his juices. There was no need to go take a shower, because I’d be filled up again, before the water on my body was dry.

“Bae, is that why you love me? Because I’m fine?” I gazed into his eyes.

“Nah, I love you, because of the way you make me feel. You being fine is just a bonus.”

Hearing that, a chill shot up my spine. “You know what I wanna do?”

He licked his lips. “What’s that?”

“Ms. Kitty loves you so much that I wanna put your name on it. Literally.”

“Oh, yeah?” he furrowed his brows. “When are you trying to do that?”

  “A.S.A.P.”

He nodded. “I got you. Now, don’t punk out, saying shit that you don’t really mean, when the time comes.”

  “Never that.”

He sat up. “I hear you. Bring your ass here.”

  I switched over to him.

He examined me lustfully. “Show me where you’re gonna get my name.”

I patted the face of my snatch. “Right here.”

“Yeah? That pussy is mine forever, huh?”

  “Oh, without a doubt.”

Reaching up, he cuffed a boob. Using his index finger, he stroked my nipple.

“Oouu,” I moaned, rolling my hips. Biting my bottom lip, I spilled my glass of champagne all over my body.
