Though she hides it, Gemma has a crush on Elliott. One night in August, while at the carnival, Elliott spots popular cheerleader Trisha Scott and it's like love at first sight. From that moment on, all Elliott thinks about or talks about, much to all his friend's, but especially Gemma's dismay, is Trisha. As homecoming arrives, Elliott decides to finally "make his move" to win Trisha's affections.
