Love Grows In The Dark

  Even though he was a bit moved, seeing me taking initiative like this all of a sudden, which was beyond my character without any doubt, he did everything whatever I asked him to do, like an obedient fellow.

  He pulled up his shirt and threw it away which landed on the floor. And his bare, toned, muscular body was all mine to touch now.

  I did not know if I was acting like some slut or not, but his confused blue eyes never left from me, not even for a second. Kazan kept watching me while I bent down to his neck and nibbled his skin there whereas my hands kept tracing his waist, causing him to tremble in pleasure without any doubt.

  “I said, everything. Did I ever ask you to stop before you are all done?” Pulling the belt on his waist a little bit, I said.

  “Summer. What do you want? We have a pup inside you now.” Kazan tried to sit up while he seemed all concerned right now. But I was not going to allow him to go back on his words, at least not when I had already made my mind.

  I pushed him down and crashed my lips on him once again. My tongue kept moving inside him in some insane rhythm, showing him how hungry I was right now. And I needed to quench all the thirst of my physical needs, and he must help me in this now.

  The night that was once cold, now kept growing warmer with each passing second. And it did not take much time for Kazan to surrender before me, as it seemed that he just could not hold himself back from the enticement to become one, after such a long time.

  He took off his pant fast without bothering me to come down from him, while I kept pulling his hair and kissed, sucked, and nibbled all over his body.

  As I kept torturing him in such a way, Kazan could not help but ripped my each and every piece of attire in no time with a loud groan, declaring the fact that he was becoming more and more impatient to shove his hard and huge beast inside me.

  And the next moment I was already feeling his hardness inside my core, as he kept thrusting his shaft faster and deeper while being careful enough not to hurt me with his insane motion.

  It was quite some time since, after which I suddenly found myself entrapped with such kind of feeling tonight, and I just could not stop myself from getting the most out of it. Tonight, the room filled with lots of my moans sue to extreme pleasure strangely somehow, while Kazan kept moving in and out of my core, leaving both of us completely covered in sweat due to such intense activities.

  “Summer, could you forgive me? Please?” He said all of a sudden in his panting voice, while I had no mood to listen to him at all.

  “Faster.” That was what all I got to say just before I was lifted up to lie down on my back while Kazan hovered over me only to keep doing whatever we had already started.

  “Could you please give me a family, Summer? Without you, I will be homeless. I will have no one to go to at the end of the day. So, I want you to become my home, Summer.” He kept saying in between while I was busy kissing him but it seemed that he had no intention to stop.

  My body was already on fire and I could think nothing properly. All I know that my wolf became out of control and I ended up marking Kazan as mine in a sudden impulse of the moment. My teeth sunk deep inside his neck, causing the blood ooze out from the spot. Even though I licked him clean to heal him fast, the mark stayed there, announcing the fact that he is mine.

  But I was never intended to do that.

  How could I lose my mind, just like that?

  Even though I panicked, Kazan groaned in pleasure just when I was done marking him accidentally.

  He did not wait for another second to kiss me, while I did not fail to realise how happy he became all of a sudden.

  But...but...there was something else which kept coming into my mind. All the emotions that I never felt before kept becoming clear to me all at once. Even before I could realise why all these were happening to me right now, I heard,

  “Give me a girl, Summer. I want her to be just like you.” He said while struggling with his uneasy breathings, leaving me all stunned for a while.

  And with the last few thrust, he rammed inside my core at last and his exhausted body which was covered in sweat, fell on top of me, as he was quite reluctant to let go of me even now.

  “I love you.” He whispered beside my ears but I was done listening to him.

  I pushed his body, causing him to fall on the side, I sat up and got out of the bed without wasting much time, only to put on some clothes.

  “You can go now, if you want me to call you for this next time whenever I feel the need, do listen. You can also choose not to listen to me, but if you do so, then this will be the last time.” With that, I showed him the way out, but it seemed that Kazan was not at all ready to hear something like this from me at least. As he sprung up on the bed after hearing what just I said, keeping his hurt yet confused eyes on me as if he had seen a ghost or something.

  “What do you mean?” Kazan asked in his low voice but I must say I had never seen him this under-confident ever.

  “I mean, I can not love you but I can keep you. Cause you are good enough to satisfy my certain needs. Anyway, you can go now. I do not need you anymore.” With that, I left the door open for Kazan and without bothering much about him, I went straight to the bathroom.

  And when I came out after some time, my room was empty and cold once again. Kazan was not there anymore.

  The cold night wind once again brushed passed me, while the curtains of my window kept flying high in some aimless direction, declaring that a storm is coming.

  My phone started to ring loudly all of a sudden right at this moment, causing me to get out of my trance, in an instant.

  Seeing that it was Kaith who was calling me at such a late hour, I picked up the phone without a delay,

  “What is the sudden rush?” I said over the phone cause I was really a bit annoyed right now for some unknown reason.

  But caring the least about what I just said, Kaith informed me everything while his voice sounded like he was absolutely terrified, and he had reasons, but little did I know what was coming next. Cause I clearly heard him saying from the other end of the call,

  “Listen to me carefully. I called Kazan but he did not pick up, and Markus said that Kazan is not with him right now, and asked me to call you to know if he came to you or not. So if Kazan is with you, then do not let him go out tonight. Do you get that? Cause, I clearly heard Alpha Benjamin and he is definitely sending his army to kill Kazan tonight, cause he found out something and is suspecting Kazan for that. But if you keep him to your house, Alpha can not order his army to attack his own niece that easily, cause then he might have to give a lot of reasons to his men, which he would never dare to. Are you listening to me, Sam? Alpha Benjamin is going to kill Kazan tonight. So, do not let him go out.”

  Episode 61

  Summer's P.O.V

  I could not hear what else Kaith was saying from the other end of the call as everything started to become all blur before my eyes. Even though I was aware that someone was saying something continuously into my ears but it was just that my mind could not figure out what was he saying exactly. As if I froze completely, right at my spot. I did not know if I was even breathing or not.

  The phone fell on the floor from my hand creating a weird noise, while I kept standing there, totally unable to move due to utter shock that I just got.

  What did Kaith just say?

  Uncle found out something and is suspecting Kazan for that? And that was why he wanted to kill him?

  That means... That means, uncle Benjamin must have found out that the man whom I rescued this morning, was now gone from his vicious clutches, whom he kept confined for all these years only to torture him each and every night without any mercy.

  Yes, that must be it.

  Although, I was quite expecting uncle Benjamin to find out about the sudden absence of his hostage, ever so strangely and that too from the very place about which no one was aware of its existence. But I had never expected that he would suspect Kazan for such a thing inst
ead of me, so that he could erase each and every trace of Kazan from the world only to hide whatever sin he had done in the past.

  Yes, strange but true. Cause, I know all of it now. Even if not all of it, I was no naive to figure out where exactly the pieces exactly fit.

  How did I get to know?

  Well, the man I rescued this morning, helped me enough to get reassured about the fact that now it was the truth at last what I had been told.

  ****flashback****

  “You should not have come here. Run away, as long as you have time.” A deep, heavy and extremely exhausted voice came from the middle of the room where the man was left to hang ever so mercilessly. His voice did not at all fail to declare how much devastated he was, and not just that, he was tortured without any doubt. His hoarse voice was enough for me to realise that he might be speaking after a really long time. But this was no time to talk, as I knew that I needed to hurry.

  “You are right. I do not have much time. So, I need you to answer just one of my questions first. Can you do that?” I asked in a really low voice which was just enough for him to hear me clearly while I dared to approach near him, without wasting any further time, knowing that he could be anything but dangerous to me right at this moment when he was all tied up and that too by the real evil one among us all. So, I took the risk even when I was not at all sure who the man was exactly.

  After hearing me and seeing that I was not at all ready to go back without getting the thing I came here for, he nodded his head slightly, declaring that he was ready to answer me whatever I had to ask.

  So, I had no reason to wait anymore after this.

  “Could you tell me who exactly are you?” I asked, but it seemed the man became quite startled by such a question. He might have expected something else. But he answered anyway.

  “Jacob. I am Jacob, the beta of the Blood Bay Pack. Or you can say I was the former beta.” That was all he could say for now, as I did not waste any further second to get him free out of his shackles in no time, cause I knew that he was not lying at all.

  “What are you doing?” Jacob asked as he was indeed shocked to see that after all these years someone could even help him to get realised out of the vicious claws of Benjamin. But at the same time, he might be afraid, thinking about what was it going to cause us all after Benjamin gets to find out in no time.

  To tell the truth, I was also worried about that but even then, I was determined to take Jacob away today no matter how, cause he deserved to be free from his long term confinement and that too when he was not at all guilty while the real culprit was roaming freely, for years.

  “We need to get out of here, for now. I will tell you everything later.” I did not explain much for the time being and helped his limp body to come all the way to the trap door from where I got in, a while ago.

  “Who are you? Why are you helping me?” He asked with his confused eyes, before I could even tell him to go down.

  “I am Summer. Daughter of the late Alpha and Luna of the Lunar High Pack. Now let's go.” Just when I said that, he froze completely once again, and asked only one thing,

  “Then do you know what you are doing? Cause you are the only threat Benjamin has regarding the position of the alpha of this pack. And after this, he will never sit quietly. You could be in grave danger as well.” Even though whatever he just said made sense, I had no other intention to back down now.

  “Yes, I am very much aware. Cause I have endured enough.” With that, I went down through the door first and stretched my hand towards him to help him get down as well.

  Though he took some time because of his injured body, Jacob did get down all the way and waited for me at the bottom. I carefully closed the door once again, just as it was before, so that no one could tell that there was some other way to get in that secret room of our pack-house.

  Anyway, after I could finally get both of us out of that place through the tunnel all the way back, I needed to take him somewhere safe without coming to someone else's sight.

  And at this moment I could think of no better place than my home. So, I decided to take him there with me, but first I needed to make sure no one sees us together.

  “Can you shift? Can you run?” I asked cause I was not at all sure if he was able to do it or not after all these years.

  “Yes. Do not get fooled by my looks. I may look this weak right now but actually, I am even stronger in my wolf form. It is just that I could not get to shift during all the past years that I have spent in that dark room. So, I will be more than happy if I got to shift now. Do not worry. Lead the way. I am coming behind you.” Jacob reassured and went to a side to shift. And after some sound of bones cracking, a huge wolf came out to stand before my eyes.

  Somehow, I was seeing some kind of gratefulness in those dark eyes, which kept looking at me while he waited for me to show him the way.

  “You need to follow me until I stop in front of my house. And keep it in mind, that you must keep yourself hidden all this while. And just when I will open my doors after checking if your way is clear or not, I will wave at you. And only then you have to rush inside my home without wasting any time. Do you get that?” I briefly informed him and got on the bike only to turn my wheels towards home once again.

  And he did exactly what I told him.

  Only after making sure that he was safe and comfortable in my house, I went straight to school, but little did I know that I would have to deal with Kazan afterwards which would lead us to some pathetic battle between us two.

  So, without bothering to attain my classes, I came back home again, cause I was in no mood to deal with those people all around me at school.

  But this time, Kaith decided not to leave me alone even when I asked him to go back for so many times. But no. As if he ever listens to me. So, I let him come along with me, as I had no patience left to quarrel with him, when I knew that everything will be futile with him.

  Anyway, it was good that I returned. I needed to make sure that Jacob is safe with me, whereas I had a lot of questions to ask him now. And the faster I get to know more about the truth the easier it will become to decide what I supposed to do next.

  So, without thinking much, I came back home with Kaith, but little did I know that I have to explain a lot to Kaith as well, cause he had absolutely no idea that I brought someone home without much of his knowledge.

  “What the...who are you? What are you doing here?” Kaith screamed as soon as he realised that there was some stranger inside our house. So, I had to rush to them, leaving whatever was in my hand for now.

  “I forgot to tell you. I brought him here this morning. Everything is fine Kaith. You need to calm down, he is not a threat to us.” I tried to reason with him, but it seemed that he needed more clarification as he just could not let his guard down, not even for the slightest second even after I told him.

  “What is going on, Summer. You need to tell me.” Kaith could not hold back from yelling at me, while Jacob chose to stay quiet, so that I could explain him everything.

  “Well, this is Jacob. I rescued him from the confinement of uncle Benjamin.” Even though I had more to say, but I just could not continue as Kaith said once again, freaking the hell out of him.

  “He...he was the one whom alpha Benjamin was keeping imprisoned for years inside somewhere in his office? You know what, Sam... I once saw alpha, coming out of the hidden door and he was all covered in blood. He was looking terrifying that night. Then you mean, it was Jacob whom alpha kept torturing for years? The one whom everyone was looking for?” Kaith's trembling voice did not fail to declare how panicked he was.

  “Yes. You guessed right.” I replied in short as I knew that Kaith would have more to ask. And I did not assume wrong at all.

  “Why? What did he do?” He asked once again, while trying to find the probable reasons for all this, in his mind.

  “Well, he is the lost beta of the Blood Bay Pack. I mean the former beta of the pack. Does that information h
elp you to find your reasons, Kaith? Can you figure out the possible link about which we had absolutely no idea, before?” I tried to help him, but it seemed that he might have guessed something else as he went absolutely quiet and kept looking at Jacob with wide eyes. Kaith did not bother to say more, and I knew that it was now my turn to ask.

  “But, why and how he got into uncle Benjamin's hand years ago, is still a mystery, which I need to know as well. So, Jacob, could you tell us about that?” Just when I asked, I clearly saw how some kind of fear spread over his eyes, in no moment. His face turned pale.

  But even though he took his time, and hesitated a bit, Jacob chose to tell us everything at last, but before that, he just asked us one question,

  “First, you tell me, how far can you go to take your revenge?”

  Summer's P.O.V

  How far can I go?

  Well, I had lost my mom and dad already and I was left to live a miserable life due to someone else's lies and unforgivable sin. The dreams that I had cherished once to become the rightful alpha of my own pack even though I was a girl, was snatched from me ever so cruelly a few years back and not only that but I was also accused as the reason for the sudden death of my dad and mom, the alpha and the luna of Lunar high pack.

  No one...no one in this whole pack sees me as a victim as well rather, they had always hated me and that was why I had to stay away from everyone, except Kaith.

  That night snatched away so many things from me wrongly, and that too without much of my realisation. I lost the peace of my mind, as I spent a whole lot of sleepless nights since then.

  And you know what is the worst? I am even scared to love. I am afraid that if I dare to love someone dearly, he or she will also be taken away from me. Only, for this reason, I even ended up messing up the one and only relationship that I suppose to cherish forever. Even though I have a mate, I can not be on good terms with him, like any other mates. And now I am caught up with this innocent little one inside me, even when I know very well that my reckless life might bring dangers to him as well.
