  “Yeah I guess you are right” Joe agreed still running.

  Kenry's eyes were suddenly dark blue with gloom. “Right now we have to help Tempest”

  “What is wrong with her?” Joe asked, still wondering about the darkening skies and raging storm.

  “She is losing control, and if she does completely lose it, we are goners” Kenry replied.

  “Alright just great… so now she is a target too?” Joe said grimly.

  “I don’t like you saying that as a joke, but sincerely you’re right, but that is if she loses it" he paused as if in silent speculation.

  “Ok let’s go now”.

  Tempest looked down on Wrath who was smiling. He had finally been able to provoke her.

  Her eyes flashed with streaks of lightning. “You know… maybe some people don’t deserve their existence, that’s why I will take this off and show to the world who I am”

  She took her coat off and everyone watched as she controlled the thunderstorm occurring around the base.

  “Huh… thunders? what is it, you're angry now?”

  Tempest's hair was flared up and she was silent for the moment.

  “Tempest?” Lysie called out to her.

  “Back… Off…” Tempest growled down at her in anger.

  “Lysie listen! I’ll handle this… Kenry hurry I need you now” Bain motioned to Lysie, he had never seen Tempest unleash her powers to such a great extent.

  Tempest was however not moving yet, Wrath was still provoking her.

  “Come on, if you are brave enough to take me on… will you be standing there doing nothing? That’s too bad” Wrath whined on, with a subtle smile plastered on his face.

  “Tempest… hold yourself, you know that things may not go as planned and we even are trying our best” Bain tried soothing her.

  But she only cried in anger. “Enough… you…” She proceeded to levitate with winds around her and thunders crashing around the base, she snapped her eyes open; the corneas had assumed a yellow color. "…will pay for what you have done!”

  “Yes, yes! HA-HA-HA then I’m going full too!” Wrath replied. They were soon clashing and then Tempest grabbed him and threw him.

  “Really? Throwing me? You have to be kidding” Wrath grinned sailing into mid-air.

  She however sent a thunder blast, a move she had once nicknamed the Thunder Crusher at Wrath. “Your existence is not acceptable!”

  Around the base, below, the ground was shaking.

  “Tempest!” Bain cried.

  Kenry and Joe heard the explosion and saw Tempest in the air fighting Wrath.

  “I’m too late” Kenry's shoulders slumped in disappointment.

  “Let’s get to where Bain is” Joe suggested.

  “Right” Kenry agreed, they hurried into the raging battle.

  Commander Alderson was calling on to Wrath, but his communicator was damaged because of the battle between Tempest, however Agron received it.

  “Yes sir… Alright I will be in position” He tried to inform Wrath about the orders, but he was too busy fighting Tempest. Lysie, Kenry and Joe headed towards his direction to attack. He simply fled.

  “Wow… very scary I guess” Lysie commented watching Agron flee.

  “Something is not quite right, I think they are planning something, we should hurry” Joe replied.

  Kenry and Joe soon arrived where Bain and Lysie were.

  “Took you long enough" Bain said regarding his partner.

  “Sorry for the long wait, Joe and I were having trouble with two hunters” Kenry replied.

  Bain gasped with shock. “So there is a squad of them… no wonder you took long to be here”

  “Wait you are saying that there are two more here?” Joe asked rather astonished.

  “Yes look over there” Bain pointed at the sky.

  “Huh? Tempest!” Joe cried.

  “Yes that is her but out of control fighting that hunter, however… where is the other one?”

  “Right he was… There he is”

  Agron was around the destroyed vehicles when he received another call from the commander through the communicator.

  “Yes sir? On my way then” He knew he couldn't tell Wrath about what the commander ordered because his communicator got busted. “I need to tell Wrath about the message” But then Joe and Lysie appeared.

  “Going somewhere? I think you are going the wrong road” Joe said frowning.

  “damn these pests, I better tell the others” Agreed leaped away from them at full speed.

  “What? where did he go?” Lysie asked.

  “Don’t know, maybe he just got scared” Joe shrugged.

  “Probably” Lysie replied. The ground shook, Joe and Lysie went over to see Tempest's battle against Wrath. But Kenry approached Joe.

  “Joe you must leave to where Linex and Markson is” Kenry said.

  “What about you guys?” Joe furthered.

  “Don’t worry we can take this on our own, just go and help him I don’t think they are going well in there. Who knows if there can be more enemies inside this base” Kenry replied.

  Joe shook his head in the negative. “I can’t let you battle all of them, I want to help”

  “Joe… go we can take this; I promise we will meet again and show you that we are fine… hot head” Kenry winked at him and patted him on the back.

  “Fine then, we must go Lysie” Joe nodded his head in agreement.

  “Got it” both she and Joe ran towards the base to find Linex and Markson, while Kenry and Bain tried to calm down Tempest’s rampage.

  “Kenry we must help her, even if we interrupt the battle” Bain said thoughtfully.

  Kenry replied. “Agreed or else things will get worst”

  Tempest and Wrath were clashing, dodging and using their abilities against each other, but there was a difference in power.

  “What is this! My power may not drain so easily, but her power is rising rapidly!” Wrath cried in utmost astonishment.

  Tempest used her right hand to punch Wrath, but he dodged it, and she suddenly switched used her left hand and she punched him in the stomach, then she grabbed and threw him into the air.

  She then unleashed her thunders and Wrath used his energy blasts and their powers collided.

  “You cannot be this strong! NO!” Wrath shouted, he stopped shooting the energy blast, got to the ground ran towards Tempest to attack her with a knife, but she dodges it. “No… I won’t lose to the likes of you!”

  While their epic fight continued, Bain had a plan to stop the fight.

  “Kenry I have an idea… we have to get closer to her if and calm her it’s the only way” Bain suggested.

  “On it” Kenry agreed. He headed to the battle and Tempest unleashed several thunder attacks at Kenry, but he dodged all of them. “Wake up Tempy” he said running towards her.

  She pushed away Wrath and attacked Kenry, but he dodged her attacks and punched her in the stomach.

  Tempest gasped for breath. "get away…”. She attacked Kenry multiple times, grabbed him and threw him towards Bain and they crashed into each other.

  Bain said in anger. “I told you to calm her by talking not attacking!”.

  Kenry stood up and said. “Bain I need you to use your power”.

  Bain stared at Kenry confused but a sudden realization struck him, and he understood Kenry's point.

  “Fine then” Bain replied.

  “I will distract them, and you get her” Kenry said as they resumed the battle. Tempest sent thunderbolts attacking Kenry and Bain, but they kept dodging it.

  Kenry told Bain to keep his distance between Tempest and Wrath.

  “What about you Kenry?” Bain asked.

  “I will handle Wrath on my own, you help my back against Tempest” Kenry replied.

  “Right back at ya” They got close to Tempest and she suddenly released an
aura of electricity from her body which Wrath and Kenry got hit by and Wrath’s body began malfunctioning, but he could still see through his robotic eyes and noticed Kenry in from of him, Kenry turned to Bain and he smirked at him. “Now” Bain used his power to paralyze Tempest.

  She only got pissed off and started to move with Bain’s power still holding off her movement. “Tempest knock it off! Please recognize me!”

  And he proceeded to take off his coat to reveal a scar on his face and his hand. Tempest looked at him stopped moving, and inside of her there was darkness and suddenly she appeared saddened.

  “Why… why us? I may be in this world safe, but this is not fair to the rest of my people to suffer” Tempest asked in despair.

  The light around her was fading as she keeps talking to herself. “I could have helped them… and I could not do anything, maybe I deserve the same fate as a punishment”.

  Bain screamed to Tempest, and she glanced up at him. “Bain?”

  “We may have lost many people who tried to survive in this planet but remember that not everyone can be saved, but what is most important is that you gave your best saving those around us, I am sure that those who died are grateful for your hard work and they are counting for you to keep helping those who are in danger!” Bain smiled at her.

  “Bain…” She smiled a bit and stood up. “Thank you Bain, I understand now”

  And everything turned bright, Tempest put her hands down and Bain cancelled his powers to see if the speech worked.

  “Thank you Bain, who would I be without you two…” Tempest moved closer towards him.

  Bain smiled and hugged her. “You are welcome Captain”

  Kenry punched Wrath with all his strength in the face and his robotic face became quite damaged.

  “No… this cannot be happening!” Wrath said rather weak.

  Almost immediately, the rest of the hunters gathered around them

  “Bain, Tempest… we got more company”

  And the trio braced themselves for another battle.

  CHAPTER 23

  THE POWER OF MASTER AND STUDENT

  They all stared at each, as if transfixed by some unnatural power. Brook proceeded to talk to them, warning them about what was about to come.

  “You all will see the outcome when you all try to escape” Brook sneered.

  “Exactly, so prepare yourself it’s not gonna be easy” Tank added.

  They all proceeded to take up their various positions. “Everybody got their positions?”

  “affirmative” the other hunters chorused.

  Far away, the group could make out thousands of soldiers and vehicles coming to the base.

  “Oh no…” Tempest moaned, she had been the one to see the incoming trying first.

  “What is it?” Kenry asked glancing at her. Then he said why she had been worried. “Soldiers and it is not hundreds, but thousands.

  “We are going to be surrounded”. Tempest announced and started walking towards the oncoming troops, her legs wobbled, and she fell.

  Kenry raced to her side. “Tempest! Are you alright?”

  Tempest looked at her leg, she had gotten bashed up by one of Wrath’s attacks. The laceration was deep and blood trickles out slowly.

  Kenry's shook his head in terror. “This is bad, Tempest we need a plan”

  "yes, we surely do" Tempest replied.

  Back in the base Joe and Lysie were still running, trying to find Linex and the others.

  “Dang this place, it's too confusing that I cannot find Linex, Markson or Stephen” Joe muttered in frustration.

  “I hope they are alright” Lysie said with concern.

  Joe could hear approaching footfalls and whispered sharply to Lysie. “Wait… I heard something”. The footfalls were getting closer and Joe knew someone was running towards their direction.

  “it’s getting closer, get ready Lysie” Joe motioned to Lysie.

  “Right!” Lysie agreed, if it was a soldier, they would knock him and proceed to keep finding Linex.

  But it was only Stephen who appeared.

  “Stephen!” they both said in surprise.

  “Have you found Linex?” Joe quickly added.

  Stephen shook his head. “Not yet but I saw the energy wave which I think it’s this way” he pointed down the hallway.

  “Alright then, lead us to them quickly" Joe said and they hurried down the hallway.

  ***

  The battle between Linex and Commander Alderson was still on, Linex was lying on the ground quite injured and the commander moved towards Linex, a bright glow on his face.

  “Well kid, I guess this is over” he chuckled, the robot drew out a sword from its right hand. Raising it high up, it was about to strike Linex.

  Sensei Aiden banged against the walls of the prison box, but nothing was working. He shouted at the top of his voice. “LINEX!”

  The robot held the sword high preparing for the strike. “It was nice to have a battle with you, but sadly this must now end”

  He swung the sword downwards, laughing.

  “NO!” Sensei Aiden's screamed.

  By some miracle, Markson bashed the door open making his entry. Commander Alderson stopped and whirled around to regard him.

  “I think you used that sword wrong” Markson said, his eyes blazed with anger.

  Commander Alderson looked quite abashed. “You…” he managed to croak.

  “Yes me… and I won’t let you hurt my son’s friends” Markson replied.

  “After all the work you done, now you want to join another specie?” Commander Alderson asked still astonished.

  “Hey… the more adventure, the newer things I discover, now then why won’t you fight someone on your own size?!” Markson said powering up his robot. It assumed a battle stance.

  “You will regret it then!” the commander cried, they started fighting, clashing into each other during the fight, and they began to have a wrestling match, but Commander Alderson was having an advantage.

  “Your robot seems to have a problem with its strength, you better upgrade it next time” he grinned and proceeded to damage Markson's robot lowering its power.

  “Uh… Linex I need help here” Markson whispered under his breath as both robots held onto each other's fist, wrestling with wanton abandon.

  Linex was still on the ground, pain radiated through his body. He managed to stand up slowly.

  “Come on Linex, it’s now or never” Urilion said via telepathy.

  He stood up and saw Markson having trouble with Commander Alderson and then he saw Aiden trying to destroy the box, he was quit injured but he started to walk with his hand clutched at his shoulder reaching Aiden, but Commander Alderson pushed away Markson and jumped in front of Linex to stop him from reaching Aiden.

  “Where are you going brat!” he said releasing an energy wave, Linex saw it coming and he used a fire shuriken as well, causing their attacks to clash.

  However, Commander Alderson was having the advantage, while on the other hand Linex was struggling. Aiden saw that Linex was losing, but then he decided to give Linex a little of his power.

  “Linex I will give you some of my power, just hold on” Aiden said telepathically.

  Aiden’s eyes started to glow red meaning he was borrowing a little of his power to Linex. Linex was at the very edge of losing and then gets a power boost.

  “Huh? This power…” Linex looked at his body in wonder, his wounds were healing rapidly, and his fire aura was going quite high! He felt a new lease of strength.

  Linex took advantage of the power increase he got and Markson grabbed the robot's cannon and turned it away from Linex’s energy wave. C. Alderson looked on infuriated at Markson and pushed him to Linex’s attack and he got hit by the energy wave, but he used his right arm to defend himself, just when the attack finished, the arm was badly damaged.

  “Could you ju
st put that attack away from me right after I pushed away this robot’s blast?” Markson asked.

  Linex apologized. “Yikes, sorry about that he-he… and it's not my fault that your robot is weaker than his”

  "It’s alright… wait what did you say?" Markson inquired.

  Linex smiled. "absolutely nothing... He-he"

  "I heard it..." He insisted, looking at Linex.

  "Then why did you ask!" Linex chuckled, then his eyes grew wide with terror. "Look out!" the words were hardly out, Commander Alderson had already grabbed Markson’s robot from behind and threw him from one wall to another.

  In one moment Linex launched a surprise attack against Alderson trying to help Markson recover. Commander Alderson however slapped Linex away next to the box and C. Alderson headed towards Linex, desperate for the kill.

  Sensei Aiden's powers could never be used while inside the box because it had a program that eliminates the power a possessor has; he only can borrow its power. Linex stood up and saw the cannon charging to maximum, then he got in front of the box.

  “Uggh…” Commander Alderson grunted.

  “Tell me, will you destroy the box and let the strongest enemy escape? Or would you surrender? You decided” Linex asked, knowing he had the commander in a tight corner.

  Commander Alderson was putting his cannon down, when Aiden knocked and as Linex looked back to see what he wanted, he made signs with his hands. Linex understood the signs, then Commander Alderson smirked and raised his cannon and was about to release his blast but suddenly he dropped his smile when Linex used his power against the box’s power source and destroyed it completely, after destroying it Commander Alderson got very angry.

  “Curse you” Commander Alderson groaned. The smoke around the explosion of the box had stunned Linex and Aiden’s eyes glowed red, they pushed the smoke away from them.

  “I knew you would get here to rescue me” his master smiled at him, patting his head.

  “Of course, I would not let them capture you and make you suffer for no reason, for me you deserve my respect for the help you gave me in the training… I really owe you” Linex replied. “Thank you” he added.

  "It’s alright my son… we still have more training to do when we get out of here” the master replied.
